The feeling one is left with after listening to mainstream pundits and FDA commissioner Margaret Hamburg is eerily familiar – almost as if the same crisis template that was applied to the financial crisis is now being used to further progress centralized control of the country’s food production capacity:

While President Obama has reportedly dispatched National Guard to the borders, it doesn’t look like the current policy is ineffective when a Mexican human smuggling gang can first enter the U.S., then kidnap a resident, and finally, slip back into Mexico.

Though it may have made President Obama look like he is finally meeting one of his campaign promises, what Ms. Shaughnessy and most Americans may not realize is that the media coverage surrounding the withdrawal of 4,000 U.S. troops last week was mere hype, which failed to give us the whole story (as usual).

We suggest, contrary to the opinion of the New York Times, that the “mixed economic data” is not presenting a picture of a feeble recovery, but rather, a recession that has turned into a depression. It’s a recovery that never was.

Keep voting for him. Keep paying for him. Keep rooting for him. Every one of you. I dare you.

In light of this entrenched way of perceiving things, especially in the U.S., it is difficult enough to convince some people that the economy is in fact not providing the security they desire, but is actually destroying their future completely. To explain to them that this is deliberate, that the economy is designed to self-destruct, that is another prospect altogether.

There is a lot that could go wrong with any conflict with Iran. If we know this, then so does the leadership here in the US, Europe and Israel. If war game scenarios have, in fact, shown that we can’t win against Iran without going nuclear, then we can expect the US and other coalition countries to execute the attack with the nuclear first strike option.

While our first lady enjoys a luxurious $375,000 vacation in Spain and $3.4 million dollars is spent on construction projects to provide “eco” walk-ways for turtles in Florida, hard working Americans are populating tent cities, depending on food banks, sleeping in their cars, and fighting for government assistance.

When Hitler invaded and annexed Poland and Czechoslovakia in the 1930’s, did anyone think that those conflicts would eventually spread into war that would encompass almost every country on earth?

We can deal with the problem now, by locking down our borders and letting those who want to enter the US apply for residency through appropriate, legal channels, or we can wait until the Southwest and the rest of America becomes a war zone like Laredo, Texas.
