This was not an issue of whether we could openly carry a weapon in public, or even conceal-and-carry a weapon in public or in our vehicles. This was the most basic of freedoms. Thus, this is nothing new, even though President Obama and Senator Joe Lieberman are easy targets for our frustration and anger. Once this cyber security bill passes Congress, it will be clear that there are several hundred elected officials to blame, not just one or two.

The man in the video is Walter Harvin, an Iraq war vet. The officer, David London, is currently on trial for assault and falsifying a police report. Had this video tape not been available, we can say with 80% certainty (the conviction rate in America), that Mr. Harvin would likely be sitting in jail right now for resisting arrest, assault, and a host of other crimes.

We need to send a message to Mexican cartels, and that message should come in the form of the Apache Helictopers, Unmanned Aerial Vehicles, M-249, M-203 and the gambit of tactical strike bombs like the Viper Strike GBU-44.

The US and Israel aren’t the only ones mobilizing.

Last week we reported that several states have banned the video recording of police officers in public. As if this wasn’t enough, we now learn of an incident Texas where a police officer actually entered a person’s home without permission and then arrested the man because he took a picture of the officer as evidence of the illegal trespassing.

Just as in the John Edwards scandal, the Enquirer’s investigative team has alleged not only Gore’s cheating but also possible criminal acts, and yet the mainstream media so far has refused to pick up the story.

Do not be surprised if housing prices collapse another 20% to 40% from here. The pendulum is swinging from one extreme to the other and their will be violent volatility along the way.

We’ve pointed out previously that the government is the major unknown variable here. Free market economics are trying to force equilibrium by cleaning out bad debt from the system, but governments are doing everything they can to keep this from happening.

It is now becoming evident that in addition to the economic, ecological and environmental impact, we may very well have a food and water security issue resulting from the BP oil rig explosion.

Forget the Arizona court battle. It looks like the White House administration has found a new way to approach the problem of States’ rights – by completely circumventing Congress and due process.

Independent investigations should be carried out starting immediately. This is the largest environmental disaster in US history. Investigators should be looking at everyone, including BP, the regulators, White House personnel, and Congress.
