On May 21, 2010 we reported that the President was deploying four carrier groups to the Persian Gulf. The report originated from the Debka File and was discounted by many as disinformation originating from Iran.
It turns out that these reports were correct, as we have recently learned:
…the Obama administration has ordered a massive buildup of U.S. forces in the Persian Gulf starting with Carrier Strike Group 10, headed by the USS Harry S. Truman aircraft carrier. Just last Friday an armada of more than 12 U.S. and Israeli warships passed through the Suez canal amid extreme security provided by Egypt. The ships are headed for the Red Sea and from there to the Persian Gulf. Another four U.S. warships will be making their way to the region to join the Strike Group. The Americans have also conducted joint air and naval strike practices with France and the U.K. under the command of American forces, while Germany is sending warships to the area, also under the command of American forces.
Both Israel and the U.S. have positioned nuclear-armed submarines in the region.
At first glance, this may look like President Obama is deploying the Navy in order to enforce strict sanctions against Iran because of their nuclear program.
However a former CIA spy deep inside the Iranian Republican Guard and author of the book A Time to Betray, Reza Kahlili (name changed to protect his identity), says that There Will Be War and the only way to avoid it is to immediately support the Iranian people in an overthrow of their current government:
One year ago, the Obama administration missed an opportunity to support Iran’s uprising. They mistakenly calculated that back-door negotiations with Iran’s clerics and promises made by its rulers would bring cooperation on the nuclear issue. The Americans were duped and now find themselves grasping for another chance to support an Iranian uprising.
….
The clock is ticking and the lives of hundreds of thousands–if not millions–are at stake. Now is the time to pursue all non-violent approaches: cut all diplomatic ties, expel Iranian officials and openly support the people of Iran. Only with international support will Iran’s people be emboldened to rebel and will regime loyalists abandon ship. The desire to overthrow the regime is already so great within Iran that this alone could be enough to lead to successful rebellion.
According to Kahlili, we dropped the ball by not taking a stand when Iranian were protesting and being murdered in the streets. This was a golden opportunity, and we missed it.
Now it looks like things are getting very serious. The US and Israel aren’t the only ones mobilizing:
Iran, for its part, is also preparing for an all-out war in the Middle East. Before even a vote was cast at the U.N. on recent sanctions, Iranian leaders had ordered the Guards to build up. Reinforcement troops have been dispatched to the Iraqi and Afghanistan borders. Hezbollah has been armed to the teeth, and Syria was presented with missiles carrying larger payloads and longer range.
Meanwhile Iran is busy pursuing its nuclear bomb project and enriching its supply of uranium faster than ever before, with the hope of testing its first nuclear bomb. Accomplishing this will fulfill the prophecy sought by the radical members of the secretive society of Hojjatieh, particularly its leader Ayatollah Mesbah Yazdi, the person responsible for the initial election and fraudulent re-election of Mahmoud Ahmadinejad. The Hojjatieh movement impatiently seeks the end of times and the return of Imam Mahdi, the last messiah.
It is debatable that Iran is building a nuclear weapon. Do we just blindly follow our government about Iran’s nuclear production like we did in 2002 with Iraq and WMD? Or is it possible that there are bigger agendas at play?
Up for consideration are a number of potentially conpiratorial, yet plausible thoughts:
- There are millions of gallons of oil in the region and we need it, especially if new policies make it difficult if not impossible to drill in the USA.
- If we leave the middle east, then who gets all of the oil in Iran and Iraq, and all the minerals in Afghanistan? Do we just let China and Russia have it? This is much bigger than just our need to get our fill of oil. If leave the middle east, the Chinese and Russians will swoop in and seize control.
- When economies of countries collapse, politicians can never look in the mirror and blame themselves. While Americans are pointing their fingers at Congress and threatening to protest in the streets with pitchforks, our politicians will be looking to blame someone. If necessary, they will manufacture a crisis to make this reality.
- It’s an election year, after all, and everyone knows that Presidents, Congressmen and Senators don’t get voted out of office if there is a war or significant terror threat.
Whatever the case may be, it’s looking more and more like Iran will eventually be engaged bilaterally by US and Israeli forces.
We’d like to think that the US Navy is in the region just to enforce sanctions and embargo Iran, but with all the Axis of Evil rhetoric against Iran for the better part of the last decade, our view is that there is a strong possibility of serious confrontation.
We may very well be witnessing the precursors to World War III.

An update from the DebkaFile via Check It News reports that Iran has declared a state of war in its northwest region:
In a rare move, Iran has declared a state of war on its northwestern border, debkafile’s military and Iranian sources report. Iranian Revolutionary Guards Corps men and equipment units are being massed in the Caspian Sea region against what Tehran claims are US and Israeli forces concentrated on army and air bases in Azerbaijan ready to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities.
The announcement came on Tuesday, June 22 from Brig.-Gen Mehdi Moini of the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC), commander of the forces tasked with “repelling” this American-Israeli offensive. He said: “The mobilization is due to the presence of American and Israeli forces on the western border,” adding, “Reinforcements are being dispatched to West Azerbaijan Province because some western countries are fueling ethnic conflicts to destabilize the situation in the region.”
Actually this is just more Sabor Rattling .with the increased sanctions going on and our military showing force off there cost is jsut to put pressure on them .Unfortunately Iran is not going to cave in to the United States demand  . Our cource of action is the same as what we did in Iraq. What happened in Iraq? Well we did sanctions and more sanctions and no fly zones and what was the result? That the iraqis hardened there stance and this is exactly what iran will do and what the united states expects to happen because it builds up to War. A proven tactic that gets the end results-although it does take Time. Ill be shocked if Iran isint attacked by the summer of 2012. America needs the distraction and soon because of our economic situation , War must occur with some enemy we can defeat (militarily but not politically) .

The Israeli have known for a few years now, Â that at some point in time, they would have to destroy Iranian nuclear facilities if the Iranians refuse to give up the idea of nuclear weapons. That message has been conveyed repeatedly by the Israeli’s to DC, Beijing, and Moscow; which is why Russia and China have finally gotten on board with sanctions. They finally had to chose a side: capitalism or Jihad. Both were already committed to capital markets and the NWO. In the end, it was a no brainer: capitalism. a few months ago (january/february) the senate intellegence committe held a hearing with a senior intelligence advisor , the name escapes me of who it was, but he was asked by the senate committee what the odds are of a serious attack on the USA and how soon, the advisor mentioned he : was certain the USA would receive an attack within six months. well here it is late June, and I seem to remember the cuttoff was around mid/late  July. just going by the 6 month time frame.l
My concern was that the attack would cause the election process to be cancelled, meaning that we could be stuck with all idiot congress/senate and presidency for an indefinate period.
This has been one of my many worries, that there will be no elections due to circumstances. thus we are stuck with this administration, regardless of effectiveness. and i personally think it’s by design, so as to further control/reduce  the population.Â

The folks in Iran are Persian, not like the Arabs in Iraq in any way, shape or form. Most Iranians are of the Sheite (sp?)Â branch of Islam, not Sunni. They are well educated, intelligent and dedicated to their country. An attack on Iran will be nothing like the attack on Iraq was.
We don’t have the money to fight the two wars that we are already involved in; where are we going to get the money or troops to fight another war?

Iran isn’t necessarily “persian” either. Iran has the largest Azeri population in the world. If memory serves me correct Iraq is also a majority Shia nation, however the Baathists were largely Sunni.
Sadly I think that if most people were to read all of these comments from SHTF readers, that they wouldn’t comprehend the general truths contained therein. It seems like most people’s knowledge has been almost entirely provided to them by mass media propaganda, public indoctrination (they call it school), and beyond that the remainder of their “knowledge” is derived from pop culture music, movies, and sports. In many ways the world doesn’t change and hasn’t for centuries, even millenia. It seems like if I try to discuss world events, history, or nearly anything else for that matter with either coworkers, friends, neighbors, or often even family, their knowledge is pretty much limited to whatever the mainstream media has told them. No surprise, I know. Would most people rather not know what’s really happening in the world? It surely seems like many would rather indulge in fantasy and outright infantile “entertainment”, e.g., sports, political theatre, mindless pop culture, and all the rest that this digital babylon has to offer. Only time can tell, but I’m not holding my breath.

I read all the blogs comments and realize we are just plebiscites speculating here..  The real USA Generals have their own plans. I was astonished to see how easy the USA army won in Iraq despite previous plebiscite reports of how strong and trained Saddam’s forces were.  The new era of warfare will be unmanned machines attacking targets anywhere in the world…something like a star wars we have never seen before. All of this is within the USA Military machines capablities right now.

@Leo – In the first Gulf War they said Saddam’s forces were well trained. I never heard that once in the second. I may have, admittedly, missed the retarded talking heads that know nothing mention this, who knows. But no one really believed that, that counts. Iran though, now, has the latest and most advanced anti-aircraft missiles Russia can make. Granted likely worthless against our stealth aircraft if they stay far enough out of it’s radar range. It’s more the terrain in Iran that is the problem and the same issue we’re having in Afghanistan now. Deep valley’s. If we were just to bomb Iran, likely not an issue.
But in reality we do not have the forces required to invade, occupy and hold Iran. And they can easily mess up the world’s economy with just a few dozen missiles we’ll never find along their shores near that wonderful choke point in the Persian Gulf.

How many times do we have to listen to the president of Iran declare that it is his country’s religious duty to eliminate Israel and western influence? Is this a joke to some people? The year is 2011. How the hell can nations focus on trying to progress and fix their economies when you have a brutal regime in charge of a powerful military proclaiming to the rest of the world that is their religious duty to start WWIII? I hate war but I think we must strike Iran before they strike first. The government of Iran wants 1 of 2 things to happen in the near future. They either want to create an Islamic caliphate that would be the most powerful groups of countries in the world, or they want to destroy the world if the caliphate doesn’t come to fruition. By the way things are looking in the Middle East right now I doubt the caliphate has a shot at coming to be.
It is scary to know that Iran is justifying all these inflammatory remarks in the name of religion. I know that is nothing new to the world, but come on. It is 2011 for shit’s sake. Looking back throughout history we can see that when groups of people telegraph their intentions of war to rest of the world in the name of faith, THEY FOLLOW THROUGH with what they said.
I am more than aware that those in Iran who are calling for the destruction of Israel and war with the US are only an infintecimely small fraction of the Iranian people, but the fact of the matter is those looney tunes have the buttons in front of them to kickoff WWIII. The stock market will begin a dramatic and historic decline. There will be saber rattling between Washington and Iran. The attack will probably occur on a weekend US evening, to minimize civil unrest. Martial law will be imposed, if we survive.
Listen to the Republican Presidential contenders. The fear and apprehension in their speeches, speaks for itself. They know what is coming! All they can produce are garbled sound bites. They are directionless. Did you listen to the president and his latest press conference? There is fear in his voice!
For example; The power vacuum created by the riots in the middle east (high food prices
created by the US government and its foolish ethanol program) are acting like a magnet
for terrorist organizations to establish themselves in these countries. These entities
are now more concerned about their political advancement rather than a military one.
They are now preoccupied by their new paradigm. When this war is fought, they will be
disintegrated by the war machine and the Nukes that Iran has had for 20 years, when it
attacks Israel.
Between July 5th and August 1st 2011, the US, Israel and Nato will launch the war of
all wars against Iran. We will lose. They will lose. There shall be no winners! Prepare yourself!
If the government survives, The stock market will be closed indefinitely, otherwise, it will no longer exist!.
The banking system will collapse. All major banks will shutter.
The ensuing panic will collapse all infrastructures.
Civil unrest will occur all over the nation.
It will be difficult, if not impossible to find food.
The elderly, infirm and those needing the basics of medicine will die.
Mass unemployment will result in riots and burnings.
After a nuclear incident, the confusion and resulting casualties would deem the US impotent, militarily and economically. Even if Israel and the US were to destroy Iran, the devastation would have a profound effect globally. The radioactive fallout alone, will affect all of the neighboring countries. This would also allow the US to suspend and not default on its debt. Do ya see it coming? Don’t forget an ally to Iran, that has nuclear weapons. That is North Korea! They can take out South Korea, and Hawaii. It may not be a good idea to buy a KIA right now. Do ya see it coming?
You will notice that the political rhetoric will intensify in the next few weeks, until the war actually happens. And it will! It has been planned for a long time!
It has been said for the last decade, that there are suitcase nuclear bombs in the US. When the war occurs, we will be finding out if they are right or wrong. That is, if we survive!
Pakistan and India may go at it, at the same time we engage in the war. They both have nuclear weapons and are adversaries.

I see a lot of fear mongering within these comments. The fact is something big is coming, today is October 14, 2011 and I think everyone in the United States can feel the change coming. Is it world war three? I don’t know. I think more likely our problems will be internal and violent. The United States are not so united and political red and blue battle lines have been drawn. Will we have a leader to lift us out of this mess or will we continue down this path to civil unrest? It would almost be nice if we could peaceably agree to split the country up between left and right, this isn’t going to happen peacefully but it would be a kinder solution than what is coming. The US dollar may collapse after all it is all hocus pocus anyway. Who knows what is going to happen, certainly not any of us. The biggest mistake we made as a people was letting the bankers and to corporations run our government. Now we are the sheep being lead to the slaughter? Something IS coming, I just do not know what… I can smell it in the air.

unfortunally, if we do nothing now, then this will bite us in the ass later when Iran declares war and launches their nukes at us.
