After Demanding Rights Violations, Parkland Students Upset At Violations Of Their Rights

The students at Marjorie Douglas High School returned to school to enhanced security measures. Now, after weeks of demanding the government violate their rights, they are upset that the government has violated their rights.

According to The Hill, a Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School student said the increased security measures her school is taking in the wake of February’s mass shooting will make going back to school following spring break even more difficult.

“It feels like being punished … It feels like jail, being checked every time we go to school,” said Isabelle Robinson, a senior at the Parkland, Florida high school. Failing to grasp the hypocrisy in their actions after demanding the government violates their rights and the rights of others who are completely innocent of the mass shooting, the students are now massively offended that they’ve had their rights violated.

“A lot of the people I’ve talked to are dreading going back,” Robinson told CNN“I’m not happy with it. Why are you punishing me for one person’s actions?” Tyra Hemans, 19, a Stoneman senior, told CNN.

Earlier this month, millions of students across the country were encouraged by the government, mainstream media, and even their own school systems to walk out of class and demand the government take away their rights. It was, by no means, a challenge of authority and, in fact, it was a celebration of it.

Schools across the country not only sanctioned it, but they supported it and actually punished those who chose to abstain. The walkout was little more than young people conforming to government authority by parroting the government-approved message in a government-approved venue—even at the government-approved time.

The message was simple: we want this government to take our rights away.

Young Americans across the country marched to demand less freedom from their rulers and the mainstream media, celebrities, and politicians alike shoved this down our throats as some grassroots heroic political activism. However, it was the opposite, and now even the cheerleaders of this movement, David Hogg, Emma González, et. al., are beginning to realize what happens when you beg the state to take away your rights. They take away your rights –The Free Thought Project

When the Parkland students return this week to school after their spring break, they will be allowed only to carry clear backpacks on campus. In addition, students at the school will also be mandated to wear identification badges while in the school, according to a letter sent to families last month by Superintendent Robert Runcie. Florida Governor Rick Scott is also adding additional law enforcement officers to the school and the district is “exploring options for consolidating points of entry for students and staff to include utilizing metal-detecting wands and potentially installing permanent metal detectors.”

Since the shooting, students have become vocal advocates for gun control, demanding that lawmakers pass new gun laws and violate the rights of innocents to prevent future shootings. Now they’ve had their rights violated by the government and they don’t seem to like it very much.

Maybe now these students may grasp how it feels to have their most basic fundamental human rights violated because someone else committed an atrocity. Perhaps this will the wake-up call needed, however, we wouldn’t count on it. Hypocrisy runs deep and when it comes to the violation of rights, most Americans just don’t care until it happens to them.

      1. These kids are useful idiots who are so confused by all the disinformation they receive at school, from propaganda tv and propaganda movies and propaganda music. How can they be blamed? They don’t know what they don’t know. They are the pawns in an international game of power. Children just being children, they have gotten a lot of attention and much praise from the manipulative adults who are themselves brainwashed; or are the knowing brain washing manipulating enemies of these innocent pawns. God help our kids.

        _

        • Now we’ve got some 13-year-old snowflake, Ethan Sonneborn, who is running for Governor of Vermont, talking about gun control in Vermont. As if the abuse we were just subjected to by 17-year-old Parkland snowflakes (who can’t get into college), wasn’t bad enough.

          • Who gives a damn, throw them ALL in gitmo! Fookin little pretards anyway.

            • Lawmakers in Vermont, a place long steeped in hunting culture, on Friday APPROVED a sweeping package of NEW GUN RESTRICTIONS, making the state all but certain to join Florida in passing a raft of new gun control measures after a teenage gunman killed 17 people last month at a high school in Parkland, Fla.

Gov. Phil Scott, a Republican, has VOWED TO SIGN the measure. It represents a remarkable departure from the state’s existing gun laws, which are some of the weakest in the country — and an about-face for Mr. Scott, who decided to consider new gun control measures only after a teenager was accused of plotting a school shooting in Vermont in the days after the violence in Parkland.

“No state is immune to the risk of extreme violence,” Mr. Scott said in a statement on Friday, adding, “If we are at a point when our kids are afraid to go to school and parents are afraid to put their kids on a bus, who are we?”

The bill, which passed the Senate, 17 to 13, on Friday after clearing the House earlier in the week, would RAISE the minimum age to purchase a gun to 21 and BAN bump stocks. It also contains RESTRICTIONS THAT GO BEYOND those in the measure ALREADY SIGNED in Florida, like an expansion of background checks and a limit on the capacity of magazines that can be sold or POSSESSED in the state.

The passage of the bill is likely to be hailed as a victory by activists pushing for tighter gun laws around the nation after the Parkland shootings. It comes less than a week after hundreds of thousands of demonstrators took to the streets in protest of mass shootings and gun violence — including 2,500 who squeezed onto the steps of the Capitol in Montpelier.

“I think the message that most members of the Legislature — not all — took is that public opinion is changing in Vermont,” said Eric Davis, an emeritus professor of political science at Middlebury College.

Madison Knoop, a college freshman who organized last weekend’s march in Montpelier, called the bill’s advancement “such a good first start.”

The day after the Parkland shooting, Mr. Scott, a moderate Republican who has kept his distance from President Trump, said he saw no need for new gun laws — a position in line with years of precedent in Vermont, a rural state with a committed population of hunters.

Mr. Scott shifted his stance a day later, after a teenager was arrested and accused of planning a school shooting in Fair Haven, Vt. “Everything should be on the table at this point,” Mr. Scott said.

Lawmakers are expected to approve two more gun control measures next week. One would allow law enforcement officers to remove guns from people considered at risk of harming themselves or others, and the other would allow firearms to be taken from people arrested or cited for domestic assault.

          • LMFAO !!! This little twerp probably hasn’t hit puberty yet. If you can’t get a hard on, you can’t fuck your constituents so he is going to have to wait if he wants to be a politician. 🙂

        • B from CA, those kids will end up getting hurt or killed trying to violate anyone’s rights. They couldn’t handle the real world with their mentality.

          • I wish they would give the little bastards a body cavity search each day. Stupid children.

          • Ain’t it the truth !!

        • BAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

          • Eisen, about time you came back. How’ve you been?

        • Hogg is a hypocrite of the worse kind since he wasn’t even at the school during the shooting. More than that his narcissist grasp for the limelight is similar to those non-vets, “stealing valor” because they WISH they were heroes but are not and likely never could be because they just don’t have the guts.

Think “coward” like GWB, Slick Willie, and the deputy who WAS at the school but who failed to engage the shooter. 🙁

      2. Good. Serves the little snowflake commies right. Let them experience the loss of freedom. They don’t it (freedom) anyway, as they are so willing to deprive others of their liberty.

I have no sympathy for them.

        Screw ’em.

        • Anonymous5, those snowflakes will screw around and get themselves killed by someone.

      3. Good. Serves the little snowflake commies right. Let them experience the loss of freedom. They don’t deserve it (freedom) anyway, as they are so willing to deprive others of their liberty.

I have no sympathy for them.

        Screw ’em.

      4. They’re burning out and a tell tail sign is increasingly outrageous demands. Thats the “good news”. The bad news is expect TPTB to stage a false flag of considerable magnitude to keep their momentum going. One positive intervention of a CCP or Constitutional Carry individual thwarting an attack in such a fashion that it can’t be covered up nor watered down and the entire narrative changes 180 degrees. These things are occurring where this is highly improbable.

Nothing says “Attack Here” more than a gun free zone.

        • And the libtards have no problem at all with executing 100’s of teens to fulfill their gun-grabbing wet dreams.

        • They will not cover concealed carry defense unless it was live tv abd even then it would last 5 minutes till it was scrubbed from airwaves

      5. When you are willing to give up your rights in exchange for peace and security, you have to be willing to live with the results (if you can).

      6. I really don’t care about their hurt feelings, viewpoints, ideas or opinions. They need to get their butts back in class and learn something worthwhile. Emma and David both just need to learn a really harsh lesson in life. They are responsible for all they say and do. No one else. If they don’t like what they created for themselves, tough. The thing is that they’ve no right to anyone else how to live. And especially that Hogg punk. He just needs a serious smack-down and have his face rubbed in his own ….

        • “They need to get their butts back in class and learn something worthwhile.”

          Rur?

If they were being taught anything worthwhile even when their butts were IN class, … we wouldn’t be talking about any of this.

          • school is a waste of time

      7. That’s what you get for hating “useless old people.” They hate you right back.

        • 🙂

      8. I could give a shit what some snot nosed little teenieboppers think,

        • Nailbanger and Heartless, Braveheart agrees with both of you. Those young morons would get chewed up and spit out in the real world. I’ve got something those teenyboppers DON’T want.

        • Nail: Amen to that brother! Take all of these limp-wristed, queer progressives and put their asses on a cross for 8 hours and see how they like them apples…

      9. Karma is a bitch

      10. You want to make some quick money…Put hoggs picture on a rifle target…And I just love seeing libs/dems/antifa having a melt down..

      11. Most my life I worked at places where I had to show a badge and some times also an ID for entry, wear that badge all the time, and use it to transit into different areas within the facility. Have your hand carry stuff inspected as you enter and leave. These kids are begging for this, maybe it would be good if they should learn what security really is. They might not be so quick to give up rights, once they see what a highly regulated environment is like.

        • Yea, one gov facility i worked on we had to go through metal detectors, xray machine all our bags and stuff and couldnt even access some areas, these little shits need to be treated to that, my rights are my rights, just because their supporters chose to not excercise theirs doesnt mesn i should lose mine,
          Again,
          From my cold dead hands!

          • When I was making F18 RADARS we went through all that daily. What you left out was the guys with a guns backing up the guys doing the inspections, in case someone rushed the gate.

            • The guys doing the inspections were the guys with the guns,,, small facility, they didnt like joking around much either, sorta a buncha sticks in the mud, was really sorta irritating IMHO

              • That’s a great idea! Make them ALL go through an x-ray machine going in and out of skool everyday! Start in 4th grade so by the time they are of breeding age they will all be sterile! God I love that idea. Can’t do homeskool or private skool? Don’t have kids then. Waaahoooo stop the breeding hordes of good for nothing zombie imbiciles! If they implemented that all over I would stop bitching about being taxed for all the moochers kids 🙂

                • original was moderated for the B word f87k

          • Nailbanger, you nailed it again. Our rights DON’T end where someone’s opposing viewpoint begins. We don’t have to consider any opposing viewpoints. We don’t owe any of them a damn thing.

            • How dare you oppose my opposing oppositional opposing view so opposingly that you are opposed to being opposed!

              • I oppose that!

      12. You just cannot do a thing with these mental-midgets! Go back to chewing on Tide Pods and being dazed and confused as to which silly damn bathroom to utilize. My God, HANG them all.

      13. Stupid is as stupid does

      14. Automobile accidents and prescription drug overdoses claim more lives annually in the US than anything else…None of these students have said a single word about the automobile industry or Big Pharma..That should tell you everything you need to know..

      15. For years I questioned the wisdom and legality of ghost guns, 80% types. I’ve always and continue to be a legal eagle, always complying with the gun laws,100%. What’s happening between Trump and the Deep State is terrifying. We are in a civil war. Having a few deeply hidden firearms and ammo could save your life. I really need to rethink the advice I’ve been giving for years. God forbid if the deep state kills Trump. Hate him if you like, but he is the resistance, the only barrier to America becoming what Obama and Hillary wanted – Venezuela.

On a happier note, my double hernia robotic high tech surgery failed, yup just finished my second surgery. Very little pain until that sneezing attack due to a local weather change sent me into pains heaven. Oh my God (insert every curse word you ever heard) it hurt! I hope everyone on planet earth feels better than I did that night.

I’m better now! A week or two or three is a wonderful time span.

Anyway, my point is now that I’m an expert on F-ing pain, I suggest preppers have multiple plans. Should gun grabbers show up at your door, can you smile and let them take what they want, yet still not be naked. You know this is coming.

A strategy for the grey man. Sorry but I’m not all about a fair fight, because that is not what they will give you. Just food for thought. As always I recommend people comply with all state and local gun laws.

      16. Correction, I said; “As always I recommend people comply with all state and local gun laws.”.

Meant to say; “As always I recommend people comply with this weeks state and local gun laws”.

      17. It’s to bad these kids have been brainwashed by the communists in their life. It’s amazing how coordinated and powerful this NWO agenda is. I hope the lose , then are hung.

      18. Just like after 911… We “must” do something and now we have TSA padding down and snapping naked photos….

      19. Matt Bracken has been right all along.

      20. Fueled by anguished voices in the aftermath of the Florida high school shooting, Oregon’s Legislature on Thursday banned people convicted of stalking and domestic violence or under restraining orders from buying or owning firearms and ammunition.

The passage of the bill by the state Senate on a 16-13 vote appears to mark the first time a state legislature has passed a gun-control measure since the Feb. 14 shooting in Parkland, Florida, said Anne S. Teigen, a criminal justice expert with the National Conference of State Legislatures in Denver.

Oregon Gov. Kate Brown had lobbied for the bill. Opponents said the bill could have been better crafted and that it was too complicated an issue to consider in the short 2018 legislative session.

ADDITIONALLY A proposed statewide assault weapons ban received 3,400 signatures allowing it to be on the ballot. It would effectively bar sales of nearly all semi-automatic guns and would ban magazines that hold more than 10 rounds.

      21. These students complaining about clear pack backs? ? What did they expect? I’d be willing to bet a donut hole that the school they go to still has the “gun free zone” signs.
They should go to the schools in Mordor…gun free zones all, with a heavy dose of metal detectors *and* LEO’s in the hallways…they’d melt, look for hug puppies and kittens.
Welcome to your new future, kids…your “impact” was heard, and now, suck it up…
Maybe the parents will wake up and actually teach their kids what the real world is, and not an imaginary place…
        Be well, y’all.
        Cat

      22. They need to move on from eating Tide Pods and snort condoms.

      23. You’re all missing the point.

Ignore the windowdressing. This is just a long, slow chokehold designed to strip you and me of our constitutional rights while we stress and argue about the position of a high school tween who can’t even vote yet.

We are wrestling an anaconda. It will constantly improve its position and grip without releasing or relenting. Its sole focus is your gun rights.

That should be your focus too.

        The kid is irrelevant.

      24. Since YOU parrot the commie manifesto…what YOU get is what you may not want…to late…now maybe IF you would uphold the Constitution….ALL rights would be Guaranteed by your government….yes even the 2 amendment….which by the way makes THIS country DIFFERENT then any other….and for the better…since most ‘migrant’s leave their country to come HERE…..why is THAT….you have not been taught that in your school life nor has it been taught for the past 30-50 years….imho

      25. Where have all the flowers gone….I see wallflowers

      26. you got that right!
