In his latest interview with the SGT Report, forecaster Gerald Celente of the Trends Research Institute warns of the multi-pronged attack on our liberty and suggests we are well on our way to living in a country not dissimilar to that of Hitler’s Third Reich. While the signs are all around us and as clear as day to those paying attention, a large portion of our population, like that of Germany in the 1930’s, simply doesn’t understand what’s happening, or they bury their heads in the sand so as to avoid ruffling the feathers of the all powerful and entrenched American Police State.

They are in denial about the existence of facilities where they will be herded if a national emergency is declared and that a government control grid has been put into place to handle what they know is coming. They’re not willing to accept that they are no longer individuals, but rather, property of their government and those special interests who control it, and that their land, resources and very lives can be seized by Presidential decree.
If history is any guide it tells us that humanity never seems to change (or accept what is happening) until we are at the very precipice of disaster – and then it’s often times too late.

Please note a FIFTH definition of Torah according to the Holy Father’s favorite rabbi, “a great scholar” [Benedict XVI, Jesus of Nazareth, p.71]:

The occultic portion of the Talmud, the Kabala, at Tikkunei Zohar 1:27b refers to the Mishnah of the Talmud as “the burial place of Moses.” The reference is an apt double entendre because the Talmud at Shabbat 15 teaches that it supersedes and nullifies the Old Testament, so “buries” the Pentateuch of Moses.

The “tradition of the Elders” actually “buries Moses” (Tikkunei Zohar 1:27b), disparages Moses (and Isaias), places Moses in the 18th row of Talmud “sage” Rabbi Akiva like a dunce in the back of the class (Menachot 22b).

Wrong again moron! The word “Tanakh” is an acronym for Torah / Nevi’im / Ketuvim. The Torah is the law, which is the first five books. The Nevi’im is the Prophets and the Ketuvim is the writings! These three sections combined make up the “Old Testament” which is called the “Tanakh. I’m always amused when some ignorant gentile attempts to pontificate about Judaism.

Somehow one of the most revealing books ever published slipped through the editorial of offices of one of the major publishing houses in New York and found it way into the bookstores of America in 1966.
Professor Quigley was an extraordinarily gifted historian and geo-political analyst. The insights and information contained in his massive study open the door to a true understanding of world history in the 19th and 20th centuries. It is a work of exceptional scholarship and is truly a classic. The author should have received a Nobel Prize for his work.
In 1961 Carroll Quigley published “The Evolution of Civilizations”. It was derived from a course he taught on world history at Georgetown University. “Quigley coupled enormous capacity for work with a peculiarly “scientific” approach. He believed that it should be possible to examine the data and draw conclusions. As a boy at the Boston Latin School, his academic interests were mathematics, physics, and chemistry. Yet during his senior year he was also associate editor of the Register, the oldest high school paper in the country. His articles were singled out for national awards by a national committee headed by George Gallup.
At Harvard, biochemistry was to be his major. But Harvard, expressing then a belief regarding a well-rounded education to which it has now returned, required a core curriculum including a course in the humanities. Quigley chose a history course, “Europe Since the Fall of Rome.” Always a contrary man, he was graded at the top of his class in physics and calculus and drew a C in the history course. But the development of ideas began to assert its fascination for him, so he elected to major in history. He graduated magna cum laude as the top history student in his class. My wife is one of those who just not want to think about what is going on. She will admit that something is wrong, but does not want to face it. Gives me greif about how prepping is consuming my time. Does not stop me other than budgetary restarints. She wants me to live a little enjoy the family more. Agreed on that but what to do if SHTF? I bet she will be glad i did what I’m doing then I’m guessing. I do see it coming, the rats are jumping ship and the water is rising!
I have the same issue. In the end, I still am responsible for feeding and sheltering my family.

Ditto,here, except that I am the wife and have a hard time getting the husband to get with the plan for prepping, though he is slowly coming around to that way of thinking. He was definitely one of the ones who had their head in the bucket of sand. It’s taken a few years but he sees the writing is on the wall and that things are accelerating at a faster pace. He has drawn a line at raising chickens (we live in a smallish city in Canada)though they do allow property owners to have them in the city. I don’t see major stuff going down here though I do see a knock-on effect as our economies are so intertwined. It’s actually hard getting any support at a local level here, we are too few and too distant. At the end of the day I know it will be me that my family turn to when they are looking for their next meal…and I don’t intend to disappoint them.

First came the market Crash: 40% in our case, of a lifetime of savings and then zero interest so that what is left has just been eroding from inflation, plus, in the slow times of the past 3 years, we had to tap it just to get by, even with a very frugal lifestyle. Every dollar we could cut came back to our budget in basic cost increases by 50%.
Then, we are two self-employed individuals, one in service-related business and one in small manufacturing. Our income went down by 2/3 over 3 years and our costs went up by 1/3.
Health insurance skyrocketed and today, we pay 2x what we paid in 2008, with no major illness or even much use of the medical system. To make that worse, our deductibles are now not allowed to exceed $5500.
Gas and food: we all know they are up 100% for gas and 40%-50% for food. Electric rates have increased and we have cut usage as much as possible, but they are a huge part of our direct business costs. We heat w/propane and wood. Propane is up around 60%. Firewood is only affordable by cutting our own and also buying bulk. We balance age and danger of cutting our own with cost of buying. It is a tight balance.
Property taxes have only stayed the same because we have a GOP Governor who is standing up to the public service unions. He, of course, is under major union and Democrat attack.
SHTF for us in 2008 and things kept getting worse until last November. The manufacturing business is climbing out of the sales hole, but still has all the problems outlined above. The service business has kept pace, but still, is down 1/3 from 2008. Ironically, government intervention in health care makes our service more attractive. However, we could find ourselves forced into the government insurance plans at any time. Trust me when I say that will mean we will be allowed to do less for the client while paying out more in time and fees, with the ever-present threat of unionization hanging over us.
In 2008, when it became clear the statists would win the election, we paid off our property and began to prep. Thankfully, because we have turned those preps 2x since, to get thru the worst of it.
A noose was set on the ground years ago by the statists and with each incremental win, they have raised it a few inches and tightened it a few inches, until we are nearly ready to be roped and hog tied. On top of the economic mess, we have to deal with increasingly hostile governments, out and proud union thugs and the ever-present nanny state collaborators who watch and wait for anything they perceive as unfair and then throw a tantrum to take something more away from anyone who even appears to have more than they themselves may have.
Rich99: the big climactic collapse is fiction. It is the modern version of the Brothers Grimm’s fairy tales that we tell each other to make sure everyone understands the nature of the dangers we are facing. The reality is a gradual collapse, slight recoveries, further declines. A little something more vanishes every day. But there are wolves in the woods and fewer and fewer woodcutters, so everyone must be more and more vigilant.
Perhaps your money is in the market, still, and you are content with your *gains*. Those gains are inflation. A strengthening of the US dollar (not inconceivable) and the market takes a hit. A tightening of rates (also not inconceivable)and the market takes a hit. Perhaps you hedged heavily in PMs. Dollar rises or rates go up: PMs go down (and Buffet and Soros have both forecasted a PM bubble). Perhaps you were really clever and invested in rentals. The banks begin to lend again (not inconceivable)and ownership rises. Things get darker and the statists decide to make housing a right, it is the small landlord that is going to face onerous regulation. Pride goeth and all that. This is a serial collapse and those now standing tall will also feel it unless they have protection by virtue of class, ethnicity or ideological preferences.
We still have some capital left. We have productive land and our income is still there, even if lessened. Half our business is somewhat recovered. And we still prep and have no illusions about the future.
The truth is: no one is really *safe* and no one knows what happens next. Nothing continues in a straight line extrapolation in either direction, in macro or micro economics.
So, bite your tongue. The prepper you mock today could be your market or your patron tomorrow. The system you may still believe in is huge and it grinds slowly, but inexorably.
However, I doubt you will ever apologize and I doubt anyone really cares if you do or not. Most of us are way too busy to pay your sort much attention.

Right on Mac! I’m sure there is a representation number out there somewhere; the number of retired people that lost almost or all their retirement during the 2008/09 banking/investments failure. There is another number of people that have fallen thru the aknowledgment cracks, and have just enough to scrape by on. Those with no employment or just a little part time job, none or just the minimum social security benefits, wandering if they will have enough to keep the vehicle on the road or even afford gas to put in the darn thing. Rich….it’s a slow moving fan, did you know that the Crash of 1929 didn’t even make the front page of the New York Times, it took about three years for the full impact of that even and the corollary effects to work its way through the economic system. The Shit didn’t just hit all at once, it was a process, much in the same way it is happening today, little by little, bit by bit the massive economic distortions are continuing to work out through the system. Now, that being said, there are some events that can and do happen very quickly, such as a hyperinflationary event. There reaches a point where the system peaks as the fiat currency flows through the economy and then it appears to happen almost overnight, like it did in Weimar Germany.
The difference today is that what is taking place has never-ever happened in the history of the world before, particularly on the scale that it is happening. Sure, we could make references to Ancient Rome, but even that will pale in comparison to what is now taking place in this country and around the world, the connectivity is far too embedded in the system, a quake in one area will be felt in all the others.
People, or should I say sheeple have no clue how fragile the system is. You make a good point. Most don’t even realize the affect the disaster in Japan is having on the economy. Give it another year or so, not to mention the affect on Japan itself.
Add to that the middle east. In a lot of ways it is just like it was back in ’29. Only difference is the media is purposely blacking out the reality. But sooner or later the reality will surface, and the ones that didn’t heed the warning signs are going to be stunned, wondering what the heck happened. Then when the shock wears off the panic will start, because they won’t have a clue how to survive having depended on the govt’ and big biz to tell them how they’re supposed to live.

At least my wife doesn’t give me grief about prepping, guns, silver buys or anything else I want. She doesn’t much want to hear about “SHTF” though. Honestly if it came to it – that bad – I think she’d opt out which bugs the daylights out of me but I know the reality. She’d rather not live in a post SHTF world.
I experience the same from the old lady, however if you really look at life or death situations in nearly all cases humans will fight tooth and nail to live, people may say they wouldnt want to live in a certain scenario but much of those same people will never just roll over and die. I don’t think the coming chaos will come at break neck speed it will be slow and drawn out. There is a natural instinct to try and maintain life and when shtf your wife will be thankful for anything you have as far as prepps. All that matters now is that you feel what your doing is right, to protect yourself and family good luck and may the nay sayers only encourage you to prep double time.stay safe!!
My wife doesn’t give me grief over my preps and even agreed to buy land and build a retreat after I sold my home when we got married. We watch Doomsday Preppers together and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of each participant. She also does not complain that the basement is so full she can only walk through a narrow path.

Hi Salvadordaly, I’m currently living with family after a recent divorce. For the last 2 years I was making preps for me and my wife. I have to admit, it’s depressing and a bit scary when you think about the big picture. I spent a good portion of my income every month on supply’s, while she contributed nothing. I would try to explain things to her but her mind was in jersey shore and those rich house wife shows( brain-dead bitch!) Anyway, I understand the whole “have fun, live life thing”, but how do you just ignore what is happening to our country/world? I can admit that I do miss my friend/lover, but she is a sheep, and I don’t like fucking sheep anymore! lol Anyway, if she’s not on the same page as you then keep your prepping anyway, she’ll thank you later. My grandfather had polio when he was young and went from sweden to Germany for treatment. It caused him to use a cane for the rest of his life. But in Germany he met his first wife who also had polio and was crippled. When he was in his mid 20’s the Natzies started comming around and at first they liked him because he was blonde haired and blue eyed. But when they saw him walk with a cane everything changed and they made him register at the local hospital along with his wife. They said it was for future treatment. One day his brother showed up from sweden and told him his father was sick and dieing and wanted to see his oldest son. So he packed his bags and went off to the port with his brother. The Natzies wouldnt let him leave the country because he was a german as far as they were concerned. So he went home. When he got home 3 days later his entire fammily, his daughter, parents in law and wifes sisters were gone.

My wife tells me “Do what you think is right but please don’t bring me down.” We have somewhat of an agreement that I do the prepping and keep myself informed but don’t share the details. My wife and I have a great marriage and to me I am ok with our pact. I do not grieve. I prepp, she is cool with it and thats that. Doesn’t sound like anything is wrong with your situation either bro.
I’m a lucky man. My wife is right with me on prepping and sometimes I even have to pull her back. My daughter is a prepper too, she came home one day with 25 bottles of shampoo and body soap. She even got some I like. I don’t know how long my freezers will hold out but I am filling them with as much fish as possible. I call it prepping trips now, not just a fishing trip.
Highspeed, gets a thumbs up on the good wife, and stocking up the freezers with fish. I have got my wifey into trout fishing and finally got her off shrimp and crab legs. She now realizes how bad the shell fish is for your body, especially if it is laden with benzine, mercury, and a thousand different other chemicals. I think it is just a matter of time before all river and pond/lake fish are too risky to eat. The hatchery raised trout will most likely be the last contaminated. Oh yea, just to pass some info along about your freezers. I have a small one that I can, and sometimes do, run off an inverter and two deep cells. I have noticed that the thing runs twice as long on the deep cells as from the grid. I thought the change in the electrical current had caused the components to malfunction or maybe even fry. I spent a little time at my local appliance dealer/repair business(family owned) and got the lowdown. He says the new refrigeration units are designed to run continuously, since the start/stop sequence is what wears them out. He says my configuration should work fine and I’m better off if the thing runs at a steady 30 watt pull, and doesn’t start/stop a lot. Now, to be on the safe side; We keep a thermometer handy, a few dozen extra canning jars. If our fish thaws, we won’t loose it. we’ll just lightly bake it or smoke it and then can it. Too much time and money invested in traveling to Cherokee, NC, to fish two or three days while camping. The fish are there, you just gotta know how to catch.
dont tread….I think the bass in our river here are already toast. When I moved here I could catch my limit in an hour. Afew years ago they raised the size to 12 inches. A year or so later it was 15 inches. Then they banned all bass fishing. Now they say the bass have both female and male sex organs in one fish. They claim this is from people flushing their extra meds down the drain.lol. Sounds like a coverup for a polluted river.
JRS, If your river has catfish, catch a couple then feli them. Then put in freezer bags and keep frozen for 1-2 weeks. Then thaw them out. If the meat isn’t white, you have a polluted body of water. If they are of a good color and texture, there isn’t anything wrong with the river. Remember, cats are bottom feeders. I have fished the Rio Grand for years and rivers don’t get anymore polluted than the border river. If you see any yellowing, even the slightest tint, get rid of it and stay away from your river. And river water will change between good and bad, depending on the time of year.

I hear you Highspeed, I used to love ocean fishing. I was going when you could legally stock up the whole freezer from one trip, with grouper and snapper. They have screwed all that up now. I don’t have the funds and friends to go like I want(off-shore), so I just fish close to home. Crappie is my favorite, but it takes time and money to fill a freezer, so I’m limited to mountain trout. I wouldn’t eat anything out of the Pacific or Gulf waters, and the Atlantic is next. Thanks for the info on the bass and catfish there JRS & DRD.

I totally agree! I’m 45, not too old yet, but it seems like most under 35’s would trade their liberty for an iPad or X-Box in a heartbeat. I worked with a guy who had a Catholic grandmother and a Jewish grandfather that lived in Germany before WWII. The grandfather kept putting off leaving Germany. He could not believe or accept the idea that his countrymen (Nazis) would treat other Germans badly. They had all of their belongings packed and ready to ship to the US and emigrate to the US. The grandfather kept procrastinating leaving still denying what was happening. The Nazis came and took all of their stuff. The grandparents managed to get out with the clothes on their backs and made it to the US. The members of the Quaker church helped them get a new start. Denial, it’ll get you in a lot of trouble.
I understand experiences like your grandparents are why many Jews own precious jewelry and I think it is a great idea. I have heard many stories about how escaping bartered jewelry for safe passage and a meal. Not a fair trade on the open market, but well worth saving a life.
Another method is having buried caches along escape routes. If one had to run into the woods today with only the clothes their back, how far would they have to walk to access the resources they would need to prosper?

It’s a personal belief of mine. I always ask for jewelry when questioned about what I would like for a holiday gift or an occasion. Jewelry is portable (you can wear it or sew it in your clothing or even carry it in a small sack that is easy to hide on your person). It cannot be seized or divided in a divorce settlement or legal settlement (personal property) It always has value. These days, I’m runnin around looking like Mrs. T.

My daughter-in-law said that she was watching the new prepper show and she made him change the channel because “it scared her”. She said that she didn’t want to think about something major happening. She knows that I prep and that I prepare the best I can for all type of events.
When she said this to me I looked at her and said “well…how do you plan on changing the channel when this really happends for real”? She didn’t know what to say. I asked her if she could stand the thought of her children (MY GRANDCHILDREN) starving because she didn’t prepare. She just teared up and walked away.

When I saw the title of this post, I thought how ironic it was that a Jewish Associate Justice of the Supreme Court (Ginsburg) would make the following comments when she traveled to Egypt earlier this year. I believe the one major difference between prewar Germany and America today is how well armed American citizens are. The Germans weren’t. Actually mate, i once heard a german lady – a daughter of a family of the 40s – say that the germans were armed prior to the rise of the national socialist party, however there was no registration for guns. Then she said they had all guns registered for “safety” reasons, and nobody complained because it seemed like a good idea at the time. Then when the SS was hopping about after national security, they took everybody’s guns, and it was useless to resist because they already knew who was armed anyway.

The big list is the National Rifle Association. You’re not a member if you don’t own a gun. There were what 35 million Germans in the 40s. How many guns could they have? Only 85 million paid taxes in 2011. Of those, roughly 25% were public workers so you can drop them as the other 75% fund 100% of the taxes they pay. So only 63 million or so simply need to take a year off.
The bond market would consume the US government in a few months. Government can prepare all it wants, but without access to credit and hard money it can’t do squat – just look at Greece. Once you can’t pay salaries with money that is worth anything, its only a matter of time before the storm troopers start selling their weapons and ammo on the black market.

Disagree with your thinking. It may have been legal to do what they did in Columbia by Columbian law, but what they did was morally reprehensible. Furthermore, their conduct and their behavior was not to the level expected of them by their job description, and behavior on or off the job. They demonstrated weaknesses in their behavior which shows vulnerabities to the security of the President and US. They certainlly made themselves vulnerable to blackmail. Last of all, legal or not, just how many of their wives, children, brothers, sisters, and parents will say it was no big deal? Economic conditions will create increasing resentment. True dat. I work for Human Services in a nearby county and I listen to the phone bank for most of the day. A LOT of ticked off, desparate people. Things are backlogged, to the point of it being embarrassing because of the system and how badly it is run. They are extremely understaffed and cannot keep up with the rising demand of food stamps, Medical, health insurance, cash assistance…many people (if they are cut off) will absolutely freak if that happens. My mother and father applied for food stamps some time ago. They’re in their late 80s and thought the extra help would help them stay afloat. They started out getting $200 a month. Just a month ago, they dropped that to $150 a month. They had some convoluted reasoning but what it amounted to is that they wanted to save the money.
I’m sure that hurt some people and I’m surprised I never heard anything about it from anywhere else.

After a couple years she talked me into moving to the US, because, as I was often reminded, the US was far better off than the rest of the world. And we’d be closer to her family. When I finally got there, with my hot new Green Card in hand, I literally ran into a wall of Disappointment. It was a big step backwards, even in 2002. Sorry, but you don’t have it that good.
We don’t live there now. We escaped to Freedom!!!! But we travel back there for a month each year, for family …….. It gets tougher and tougher each trip. Part of being clued into the swindlers taking our money (The Fed, etc) is knowing that the holocost is greatly exaggerated. There were no gas chambers for starters, just do some research on your own (David Cole revisionist, etc). Yes a lot of people died, jews and everyone else. I was just a kid with a couple hundred bucks in my pocket and too stupid to know I was trying to accomplish the impossible.
After working through the night on my VW Bug, he took a hundred and left me with a hundred to get to DC.
He was a much older man with a heavy German accent. He also had a number tattooed on his arm ….

Throwing away my preps? What? You’re joking right?
There is an old saying: A fool and his money are soon parted.
Anyone who is routinely throwing out preps has to fall in that category.
Now, don’t misunderstand, sometimes your rotation gets out of whack and you’ll have to dump a can or two, however, if one uses half a brain you’ll realize that you’re going to have to rotate.
Its called store what you eat, eat what you store. And stuff in a stable, cool environment keeps a very long time. The “Best By” date is about 1 year premature in most cases depending on the product.
One of the things you realize is that you don’t want to go out and “panic buy” a huge amount of food. Slowly, over time, you purchase what you need, plus extra. Depending on your level of ugency, the amount of extra you purchase can vary.
Over some years, months or weeks (again, depending on your sense of urgency) you’ll start to accumulate supplies.
I’ve been fully prepped since 2009 and I find it to be very simple to do. In the end its very cost effective too. You don’t have to buy stuff when you need it. You can buy it when things are on sale and then you buy what you’ve used out of your stock and a little more.
Oh, don’t get me wrong, I’ve got a few MRE’s and “Long Term Storables” but those are definately in the minority. I’ve dedicated a 10×15 room in a corner of the basement to this. My wife even likes it because she never runs out of anything and never has to worry about going to the store. In bad weather, she’ll often skip a couple weeks of grocery shopping and we don’t even know except we run out of milk.
Even if you don’t want to do this SWYEEWYS process, there are long term storables for food. …and ammo and guns STORE FOREVER, or at least longer than your life span. So does gold and silver.
So, there are multiple ways to prep, simple, complex, cost effective, etc. No one ever needs to “throw out preps” and “have buyers remorse”. Both of those actions are for the sheople that are not really into it more than superficially.
The whole deal is not really about “prepping”, its really about losing your normalcy bias and paying attention. Its about not being part of the sheople. How you prep is not NEARLY as important as WHY you prep.

Yes, depending on the product. In most cases the “Best By” date means very little and the food is good for much longer than that, often decades longer.
All I know is, so far I haven’t had One Single Bit of buyer’s remorse feeling,… it’s been more like, saving a ton of money feeling(!) as the price of absolutely Everything I’ve stocked up on has gone UP in price. That’s the nature of the insidious thing called, inflation.

I agree w/ NR on this. Today I will eat the last can of fruit cocktail that is out of date by 11 months. The disruptions in our life for the last 18 months have messed up some of the rotation. But the fruit is still tasty and none of the cans were damaged. I just ate it up quietly and the family ate stuff in date. As for buyers remorse. If I see something like cooking oil is coming to the end of it’s fresh date, I will donate it to the food bank. Knowing that I’m helping someone out is not something to be remorseful about. The last time I donated I was walking down the hallway and some guy was leaving the bank with his food. He scoped out my bags and recognized I was donating cooking oil. The smile on his face when I let him take what he wantd from my donations made it worthwhile.

How on earth does charcoal, wood, bullets, toilet roll or a ghillie kettle or a water filter “run out”? A well made tool several lifetimes if properly cared for.
Knowledge is something everyone should constantly update, but once aquired can be passed on & is only lost through premature death or dementia.
You rotate your food stocks and pay attention to decent storage so nothing spoils or is infested by pests. Eat the oldest tin first – did your Mama never teach you that?
Food inflation & low interest rates means you currently get a better financial return on food than cash in the bank.
If you were qualified to work at McDonald’s or the local grocery store you wouldn’t be coming out with such an inane statement.

Not so long ago and in a pasture too uncomfortably close to here, a flock of sheep lived and grazed. They were protected by a dog, who answered to the master, but despite his best efforts from time to time a nearby pack of wolves would prey upon the flock.
One day a group of sheep, bolder than the rest, met to discuss their dilemma. “Our dog is good, and vigilant, but he is one and the wolves are many. The wolves he catches are not always killed, and the master judges and releases many to prey again upon us, for no reason we can understand. What can we do? That night, when the wolves came, the newly armed sheep sprang up with their weapons and struck at them, crying, “Begone! We are not food!” and drove off the wolves, who were astonished. When did sheep become so bold and so dangerous to wolves? When did sheep grow teeth? It was unthinkable!
The next day, flush with victory and waving their weapons, they approached the flock to pronounce their discovery. But as they drew nigh, the flock huddled together and cried out, “Baaaaaaaadddd! Baaaaaddd things! You have bad things! We are afraid! You are not sheep!”
The brave sheep stopped, amazed. “But we are your brethren!” they cried. “We are still sheep, but we do not wish to be food. See, our new teeth and claws protect us and have saved us from slaughter. They do not make us into wolves, they make us equal to the wolves, and safe from their viciousness!”
“Baaaaaaad!” cried the flock, “the things are bad and will pervert you, and we fear them. You cannot bring them into the flock!” So the armed sheep resolved to conceal their weapons, for although they had no desire to panic the flock, they wished to remain in the fold. But they would not return to those nights of terror, waiting for the wolves to come.
In time, the wolves attacked less often and sought easier prey, for they had no stomach for fighting sheep who possessed tooth and claw even as they did. Not knowing which sheep had fangs and which did not, they came to leave sheep out of their diet almost completely except for the occasional raid, from which more than one wolf did not return.
Then came the day when, as the flock grazed beside the stream, one sheep’s weapon slipped from the folds of her fleece, and the flock cried out in terror again, “Baaaaaad! You still possess these evil things! We must ban you from our presence!”
And so they did. The great chief sheep and his council, encouraged by the words of their advisors, placed signs and totems at the edges of the pasture forbidding the presence of hidden weapons there. The possibility of America entering a police state like Germany is certainly one scenario. I would suggest another possible scenario and that is a repeat of the French Revolution. A large portion of the American people are sheep. Draconian legislation has already gotten many too scared to speak out. But, no people, except maybe North Koreans, will go hungry and just roll over and die. When the store shelves are empty, an ugly side to the American mindset will become manifest and mainstream. Government will be forced, especially in large urban cities, to engage in mass murder to keep the current crop of ruling elite in power. News of the mass killings will spread and a rage will sweep the Republic. The aftermath of such a scenario will be unspeakable. The only possible way of ending the blood letting,American vs.American , will be foreign intervention. Then, a whole new round of blood letting will begin. That war will drag on for years with a terrible toll on both sides. Nothing will ever be the same. Those who supported a population reduction will have gotten their wish, but those leaders who survive will never be in positions of power again. It will be impossible to rule such a people. I foresee a remnant of Americans in small communities forming small fiefdoms as our future. The environment is dry. All we need right now is a spark

Many are waiting in line to board this train to hell. Unfortunately, they are of the mind set that this is their ticket to a better life. These passengers are the weak, the desperate and the uninspired. To allow one man the control over your future, is insanity. Has he made the blind see again, has he cured the crippled, has he done anything to help you put your own hard earned food on your table? The answer is no. Will they create golden statues of him and worship them? I fear that this will be next, and that is when the end will be near.

Before you automatically ‘thumb-down’ this post, invest ten minutes on a web search for an actual FEMA camp. Not just a link to a blog with a link to another blog.
I have not seen an actual FEMA camp, but I have seen the EO authorizing them, and from FEDBIZOPS I have seen the requests for quotes sent to contractors wishing to bid on building them. Just because you can’t see something does not mean is does not exist. Have you ever seen a sub-atomic particle?

It looks like the stage has been set for the final showing. The news channel is reporting that there will be no Federal Budget set until after the election. The ole Bush tax cuts will expire on Jan 1, 2013. Since TPTB are making sure the “can gets kicked down the road”, it is apparent we are looking at total collapse within the next twelve months. There’s a book called “How Do You Kill 11 Million People” on amazon and it’s a really short read (about 20 minutes), but really effective at waking up the sheeple. Even my mom is starting to think for herself instead of the MSM telling her what to think after reading it.
I love Gerald Celente’s stuff, but when he says he is going to get out of here, because he doesn’t want to die for a cause, I’m thinking WTF? We all have to die of something. None of us have a ticket that saves us from that ride, and the only question is when and how we take it.
Me, I intend to be one of the ones future generations are NOT talking about when they ask, “Why didn’t anyone do something?” Besides, this thing is global, and will not be confined to the U.S. of A. When the oil merry-go-round stops, billions will perish: from famine, disease, or violence. The only other option is not dying, but that won’t happen because you ran somewhere else. (The one exception being if you are “getting out” from a major city or urban area.)
So, with that said, I note a lot of talk above about spouses who resist prepping. Mike G. talks about his wife whose “mind was in jersey shore and those rich house wife shows.” I am fortunate that my ex, who is all about country clubs and keeping up with the Joneses, is gone. I am grateful she is gone, and my “new” spouse (of 6 years) is wonderful, and as great of a prepper as I could ever have asked for.
Unfortunately, my ex has violated all the court orders and taken my kids away through alienation, and THAT is a problem for me. Because when the SHTF, my boys are going to die if they are still with her. My only chance of preventing that, that I can see, is to make sure I know where they’re at, and be prepared to go collect them when it comes time. Any suggestions folks?
your heart is obviously in the right place, nehweh, and your conclusion is correct, also. i don’t know how old your boys are, but in the end, if they are old enough to know right from wrong, THEY must make a decision. unfortunately, by the sound of it, the courts have ruled against you, and your ex’s mindset will be the indoctrination they will acquire. my advice to you is to fight the courts for all the time you can get with your boys. give them a choice, bearing in mind that the current prevailing paradigm is very seductive. fight the courts, love your children, pray. i concur that knowing where they are and being prepared to collect them is wise. but they will not come if you have not been able to give them an alternative mindset to that of the sheople. namaste
If your boys are ages 10 or above and are mature enough, get them on your side by creating activities they enjoy with you. Get your new wife involved and pray. When you get them and God on your side, take her ass to court and have the boys ready to say they want to live with you full time. Then make her pay you child support and give the boys (if they deserve it) a good portion of the $$ as weekly allowance. That’s your only hope for saving them. Believe me I know, my ex did the same thing to me during my daughter’s teen years. She grew up believing her mother’s lies about me and now thirty years old, still refuses to acknowlege me as her father. The over-payments on the child-support and braces and medical and college doesn’t mean a thing to her. At least I did the right thing and her mother has to answer for all her wrong doing.
Thank you mike and don’t-tread. As for the court, it already ruled in my favor both times she sued me. But she doesn’t care about the order, you can’t get the court to enforce it through contempt unless it involves money, and the cops and prosecutors won’t touch it, even though it is clearly illegal what she is doing. But like you both suggest, I know that someday those boys will know what my ex has done (which she will do to their own relationships, eventually). I just hope that day comes before the SHTF.

Just because they have a nifty corp uniform, does not give them cause, jurisdiction, or standing to detain you or ask questions. I am not a lawyer. What I do know is that everyone should always stand their ground, never comply unless ordered or by warrent. If everyone who gets a traffic citation would plea not guilty and demand a jury trial, the courts would go bust.
California is sneaky in that a traffic infraction is a civil matter. It does not become a criminal case until you plea it at you notice to appear hearing, because you give them criminal jurisdiction by entering a plea in superior court…go figure.

Jesus – I’ve read most of the comments and I’m in shock. I live in New Zealand and I’m so surprised of the restrictions and changes that have happened in the USA. It is like re-reading the history on the rise of the NAZI Party. Actually, the comments are as good as the article, and Blue’s comments was very informative concerning his struggle to survive in the small business world. My question is how did all this happen? Why did the citizens of the USA give up so many rights? What is the government preparing for ?

Why does religion always get brought into these types of conversations? Can’t anyone just accept the fact that all people are not the same? Everyone’s experiences are different, and that’s what creates individuality. There are no religions that will help you when you’re in need, but there are individuals that will. Gerald is right, when the indiviuals change, that’s when we will see real change in this country. And it has nothing to do with religion, it’s just plain human decency.
Because evil is very real, satan is very real, and there is a very real “war” for lack of a better word, against christianity. It is the only religion which is summarily combatted by every other idealistic groups and interests on this planet. What the bible says about the end times are and have been coming true.
