For a couple of months now, we have been alerting our readers to forecasts from Gerald Celente regarding 2010 and terrorism. In the year 2000, Celente predicted that in the following year, Americans would not be safe at home or abroad. This year, he is forecasting something very similar, and has even suggested that terrorism in the middle east, especially in Pakistan and around oil pipelines, may sew the seeds for World War III.

This past week proved that Mr. Celente has a keen understanding of what is going on around the world. As Mr. Celente says, current events form future future trends.

Gerald Celente discusses “Terror 2010” in more detail in a December 30, 2009 Trend Alert:

“Terrorism has evolved.  Big-time terror is becoming more self-radicalizing.  They don’t need an organized movement such as Al Qaeda or a leader like bin Laden to wreak havoc.  A whole generation of Muslims – enraged by US occupations, Predator drone strikes on their sovereign nations, ongoing civilian deaths, and belligerent US foreign policy initiatives – is preparing to do unto others as others have been doing unto them.

Celente said the Nigerian-born terrorist who tried to bring down Northwest Flight 253, Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab, demonstrates the scope, capabilities and global reach of the terror spectrum: the lone-wolf, the professionally trained but unaffiliated, and the organized terror groups and cells.  Thus, even if the explosives and training came from Yemen-based al Quaeda, the inspiration to suicide-bomb the airplane could have been self-initiated rather than an instance of an obedient soldier following orders.

The outrage is not confined to any specific demographic, stereotype or profile.  It ranges from the well-educated and well-off, Abdulmutallab, son of a banker who lived in a three-million dollar London apartment, to the poor and oppressed.

As Celente forecast in the Top Trends of 2010 issue of the Trends Journal®, “There’s a high probability of wild card terror-strikes with the potential to cripple the global economy.”

Oil spikes, market crashes and financial panic will ensue should an attack of 9/11 scale hit the US or any major oil producer. “The cross-border fighting between Saudi Arabia and the Yemeni Houthi rebels is precisely the type of conflict that could destabilize world oil markets.  Should the fighting intensify, the Saudi’s risk an attack upon their oil facilities, which could curtail supplies, drive prices higher and seriously damage the already imperiled world economy,” said Celente.

In a previous Alert, Celente advised subscribers to be vigilant and prepared for anything in the coming months and years:

War, terror and calamity are not set to time clocks. Anything can happen, anywhere, at anytime.  Prepare for the unexpected.  It is the close-combat state of mind.

It is because of this uncertainty that we urge our readers to prepare for a disaster or emergency. Whether you are prepping for the long term, or simply have a short-term reserve of essential goods like water, food and reserve cash, you’ll be much better off than those who simply shunned the idea as looney and took no steps whatsoever.

      3. Hi, as a Muslim, I agree with Celente that this country is getting us Muslims enraged.

For example, the drone attacks in Pakistan that America has been doing (which has been intensified under Obama), has killed around 1500 civilians and what, around 20 terrorists. And the continuous wars in Muslim countries, where hundreds of my Muslim brothers and sisters are dying everyday and the puppet dictators and tyrants the American government support in many Muslim countries… The more a Muslim learns about America the more it makes one want to do something.

btw, I’ve been reading your blog for a few months now, and I think it’s very beneficial for the average simpleton. Trying to read about the economy on the internet and the World’s financial crisis is so confusing and just makes me want to smash my computer into bits, but your blog has been a breath of fresh air. It’s objective, you make good postings, you don’t fall for all that crazy talk going on out there, and you get good comments here too. I really like your recent postings on prepping, awesome information!

        k, thanks for your time

        Yassar

      4. Ditto!

      5. Yassar! Talk to me. What is it that makes you the most upset with America? Is it Americans? or is it our government and their wacky politics? We really need your input. Many Americans do not feel that our government represents us, and therefore, believe that it is possible we’ve been brainwashed into believing Muslim extremists are the enemy. Are we wrong?

      6. Hi NetRanger. I’m an Americano myself, born and raised in NYC and still here. Americans are cool for the most part, it’s just the govenernment me and most Muslims have a problem with. Just look at this story that just came out yesterday:

Judge drops charges against Blackwater guards accused of massacre
        http://rawstory.com/2009/12/judge-drops-charges-blackwater-guards-accused-massacre/

I could just go on and on…
Muslim extremists aren’t the enemy, I mean sure you get the once every other year terrorist plot foiled, but seriously it would be much worse, like suicide bombings and random shootings occurring all the time by Muslims, but we don’t get any of this. Heck, since 9/11 more Americans have died from peanuts than from terrorists attacks.

Who is the real enemy of Americans is the question that should be asked, but I suspect that you already know =)

      7. Hi NetRanger,
I’m not muslim, im not from middle east, im a damn son of a b*tch french speaking canadian (Quebecois) :D.
I think,  the majority of the population in other country understand that the action taken by the US gov. does not necessarly represent the will of the people.
We understand statistic too.  About 50% go vote and the president is elected by about 51 %.  About 25% of the population vote for Obama. The same for Bush. I know, my stats are truncated but its the big picture.
But there is limit to the understanding, if your friends and your family got kill by bomb made in USA vengeance will takeover rationality.
The war actually, is creating the extremism of tomorrow.
I hope people in USA will do something to change that before something very bad happen.

So, if you come here, dont worry we will not throw you a rock 😛
And if you do a 2nd revolution i’ll propably be there to support the revolution. 😉
        ********

I think Celente 99.9% correct too but i hope he will be wrong 🙂

        ********

        Bonne année 2010
        Phil

      8. No, Muslim ‘extremists’ along with the liberal 5th column in this country is the enemy.

To Yassar, Our current (sometimes misguided) conflicts in the middle east seem to be a delicate balance to keep the Islamic beast in check; our presence is not causing such attacks, although it may be uniting the often opposing muslim tribes and sects against a common enemy: America and Israel.   The goal of Islam as an entire socio/political worldview ( not simply religion) is world domination and destruction of all ‘non-believers’ for the Babylonian deity baal  (allah).  Ever hear of the Barbary Pirates Wars?  These were fought as the Ottoman Empire challenged the fledgling country of the US in the Carribean, who were becoming a stronger nation of kafir who might eventually challenge the expansion of the Ottoman Empire.

Fact is, If you dont know the truth about Islam, go to http://www.thereligionofpeace.com to get the whole story that the liberal media/government/entertainment industry isnt giving you.
