Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said on Sunday that he’s “ready for negotiations” with Russian President Vladimir Putin, but that if they break down, it will lead to World War III.
“I’m ready for negotiations with him. I was ready for the last two years. And I think that without negotiations we cannot end this war,” Zelensky told CNN‘s Fareed Zakaria.
“I think that we have to use any format, any chance in order to have a possibility of negotiating, the possibility of talking to Putin. But if these attempts fail, that would mean that this is a third World War.”
“You cannot reverse this situation anymore. You cannot demand from Ukraine to recognize some territories as intended for conflicts, and these compromises are simply wrong.”
Zelensky’s comments come as Turkey claims Moscow and Kiev are close to an agreement on key points – despite the Kremlin turning to “more destructive artillery” after revealing it used hypersonic “Kinzhal” missiles at least twice on Ukrainian targets.
In a Saturday video message, Zelensky called for talks “without delay,” warning that Russia would suffer “huge” losses if they don’t come to the table.
“We have always insisted on negotiations. We have always offered dialogue, offered solutions for peace,” he said. “And I want everyone to hear me now, especially in Moscow. It’s time to meet. Time to talk. It is time to restore territorial integrity and justice for Ukraine.”
Ukraine’s priorities are: “The end of the war, security guarantees, sovereignty, restoration of territorial integrity, real guarantees for our country, real protection for our country.”
Russia’s priorities – laid out in a call with Turkey last week – consisting of two categories of demands; Ukraine must remain neutral and not apply to join Nato, a point Zelensky has already conceded. Ukraine would also need to undergo a disarmament process to ensure it isn’t a threat to Russia, as well as ‘de-Nazify’ its armed forces.
The second category of Russian demands is where more difficulty will lie, according to top Turkish government adviser Ibrahim Kalin, and will require face-to-face negotiations between Putin and Zelensky.
Mr Kalin was much less specific about these issues, saying simply that they involved the status of Donbas, in eastern Ukraine, parts of which have already broken away from Ukraine and stressed their Russianness, and the status of Crimea.
Although Mr Kalin didn’t go into detail, the assumption is that Russia will demand that the Ukrainian government should give up territory in eastern Ukraine. That will be deeply contentious. -BBC
On Sunday, Zelensky told CNN that if Ukraine “were a NATO member, a war wouldn’t have started.”
“I’d like to receive security guarantees for my country, for my people. If NATO members are ready to see us in the alliance, then do it immediately. Because people are dying on a daily basis,” he continued, adding that he’s been grateful for NATO’s aid since the invasion began.

Zelensky was put in place by the neo-cons, he’s their man and is working hand-in-glove with them fulfilling his role as per the neo-con/globalist plan. He’s telling the politicians and the American people what the neo-cons want him to say. The neo-cons want a war, their highest goal is to see the two largest and most powerful countries in the world, which are both majority European heritage and majority Christian, destroy each other. And if your children and grandchildren have to be the cannon fodder that’s okay because the neo-cons consider them disposable anyway. The truth is neo-cons don’t even care about the people of Ukraine because it was never about them. The mess made in Ukraine was created merely as another means to undermine Russia, which is the target. It is not about democratic ideals for Ukraine, it is not about maintaining the Ukrainian identity, it is not about the human rights of a people to live in peace, etc. This is the BS we are being fed. In 2014 the gov’t of Ukraine, which leaned towards Russia, but wanted to maintain a neutrality, was overthrown in what is called the color revolution. A new gov’t was installed (not really a functional gov’t, more just a power structure) and immediately we hear Ukraine must join NATO. The country is in desperate social, economic, and financial conditions but for some reason all that matters is that Ukraine is in NATO. If Ukraine remained as a neutral country that door would be closed to use them as a means to undermine Russia. Of course Russia saw through all the machinations. Hence, all the present trouble. Everything, I mean everything we are hearing about it all is pure lies and propaganda.

Zelensky is hardly alone in wanting to fight WWIII. If the West doesn’t trigger it, Ukraine still might be able to.
A lot may depend on how far Ukraine actually got with their US-aided WMD programs.
Russia has been focused on East Ukraine; the majority of Ukraine WMD sites especially in West Ukraine will likely remain free of Russian intervention for weeks yet.

And then follows with statements that are a total contradiction that STILL seek to make the Ukraine part of NATO: “I’d like to receive security guarantees for my country, for my people. If NATO members are ready to see us in the alliance, then do it immediately!”
And then he vows to start World War III if the “talks” don’t go well. So Zelensky is the reckless one here.
The Ukrainian border was always historically an area of neutrality, and NATO was not supposed to be expanding to encircle the Russian border. Russia’s conditions for peace are about simply restoring the status quo – and removing the new military threat created by Ukraine and this drive towards NATO expansion. Russia also wants to get rid of the Bioweapons Labs there, and the Neo-Nazis.
Russia is making reasonable settlement demands.
Zelensky is not.
The US isn’t ready for WWIII. Better put it off a couple years while they try to get a hypersonic glide missile perfected.

No matter the issue, no matter the cause, no matter the point, the conversation always turns back to the holocaust. Agree. big overshoot to not mention the role Ukraine played in WWII as handmaidens to the Nazis and the holocaust. Ukraine was notorious for having the most enthusiastic Nazis and they held high positions in the SS etc.

The third world war is necessary to set the final stage for the final battle, popularly called the apocalypse, which will be the entire world united against Israel and a remnant of what used to be called “Christendom” (probably from eastern Europe) fought specifically over the control of Jerusalem (Yerushalaim) by armies massed and fighting on the plains near Har Magedon (Armageddon).

Zelensky is just doing his job of stoking a global war. This could have been prevented if Ukraine had agreed to stay neutral and dedicate itself to peace. Instead, they built up their militias, shelled Russian-speaking areas of the country, and relentlessly goaded Russia into attacking.
Rather than protecting civilian lives, Zelensky misinformed his population as to the real danger of invasion and pretended everything was cool right up to the invasion. Then he passed draconian laws to stop men leaving the country and shut down political opposition and media.
In short, he did everything possible to make the situation worse. And now he wants WWIII.
