A Harvard student has been denied entry to the United States because of what one of his friends posted on social media. Ismail Ajjawi reportedly had his visa canceled after hours of questioning at Boston’s airport by the USSA.

Ajjawi’s friends posted “political points of view that oppose the United States, reported CNET. The U.S. government is obviously probing visa applicants’ social media profiles and punishing people for their friends’ opinions. Ajjawi, from Lebanon, didn’t actually do anything wrong. He’s “guilty by association.” The U.S. government is one of totalitarian control and wants ultimate power over everything, including your very thoughts and opinions. This is a truly horrific time in human history.Â
Customs and Border Protection (CBP) spokesperson Michael McCarthy said in an emailed statement that he couldn’t offer specific details on Ajjawi’s case due to confidentiality clauses. “This individual was deemed inadmissible to the United States based on information discovered during the CBP inspection,” he wrote. Ajjawi, who got a scholarship to study in the U.S., returned home to Lebanon over the weekend. He and the university are working to resolve the matter before classes start next Tuesday.
The establishment is working extra hard to make sure that their official narrative is the only acceptable line of thought.

Post 911 the singer Cat Stevens was banned entry into the US for about a decade. While potential Islamic “terrorists ties” were the ostensible reason in actuality they certainly didn’t want the song “Peace Train” being played in concerts. All along the southern border in the meantime anyone is crossing bringing in anything they want, dope, weapons, money…….anything. Once the Middle East wars got started and opposition to them never took off Mr Stevens was vindicated and allowed back in the US.

My understanding is at the height of his his fame he quit
singing because “God told him to stop it”.
So he doesn’t do concerts these days.
Personally my thought is, if you weren’t born on American land to two American parents, I don’t think we should let you into this country at all, today. Shut immigration down completely for the next 100 years. Deport ALL people here illegally. I don’t care if it rips families apart, let them go to the Deportees home country. As a father I take responsibility for my family and their safety. My bad decisions affects them. That is called life.

He appeared on videotape on a VH1 pre-show for the October 2001 Concert for New York City, condemning the attacks and singing his song “Peace Train” for the first time in public in more than 20 years, as an a cappella version.
On 21 September 2004, Islam was on a United Airlines flight from London to Washington, traveling to a meeting with US entertainer Dolly Parton, who had recorded “Peace Train” several years earlier and was planning to include another Cat Stevens song on an upcoming album. While the plane was in flight, his name was flagged as being on the No Fly List. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) officers alerted the United States Transportation Security Administration, which then diverted his flight to Bangor, Maine, where he was detained by officers from the Department of Homeland Security.
The following day, he was denied entry and flown back to the United Kingdom. A spokesman for Homeland Security claimed there were “concerns of ties he may have to potential terrorist-related activities”

The Cat Stevens incident isn’t about immigration as he is a British Subject. It was about being denied a visit. The reasons are obvious.

The greatest liberty is the liberty to leave unimpeded. There is no greater objection than absence. The liberty to be given entry when you’re not a citizen, that’s a completely different matter.
Don’t they have remote educational options? Is it necessary to bring foreigners here in order to help educate them? A dollar spent abroad is equivalent to ten or more dollars spent at home. If this institution was prioritizing education they’d educate 10 younger persons just like him by remote education and the likes.
If the countries beliefs and tolerance thresh holds are so supposedly readily interchangeable with the USA, the professors should go over there instead.
