But right now, a cadre of leftists and social justice warriors are pushing an all out assault in opposition to Trump’s presidency – and some are prepared to do everything from bribe electors in the electoral college to push for riots to block Trump’s peaceful transition into office.
His opponents are gearing up, and it wouldn’t take much to push them over the edge. At the same, political opponents in Washington are trying to use the narrative the Russian hackers interfered with the election to impose Big Brother censorship over the web. They are clamping down on all sides!
As Donald Trump casts doubt upon a CIA report claiming that the Russians somehow interfered with the U.S. elections, Congress and President Obama are launching their own efforts to push the Russian hacking narrative in attempt to capitalize fully on the political contrivance.
The whole thing is ridiculous, concocted in order to further the portrayal of Russia as an enemy and stymie Trump’s mandate with the people, if they can.
Perhaps that is why President-elect Trump dismissed it as “ridiculous.” But that doesn’t mean they’re planning to let it go.

Members of Congress are now pushing the issue… Things are going full tilt into propaganda mode.
A bipartisan group of four senators is calling for Congress to take a closer look at allegations that Russia used cyberattacks to try to influence the American election in favor of Donald Trump.
The reports should “alarm every American,” Sens. Charles Shumer, D-N.Y.; Jack Reed, D-R.I.; John McCain, R-Ariz.; and Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., said in a joint statement.
“Congress’s national security committees have worked diligently to address the complex challenge of cybersecurity, but recent events show that more must be done,” the senators said. “While protecting classified material, we have an obligation to inform the public about recent cyberattacks that have cut to the heart of our free society.
Meanwhile, the left is still holding onto the pipe dream that they can topple the electoral college outcome from the inside, while protesting its very existence on the streets. They are also planning to disrupt the inauguration, and do whatever they can to make some noise.
Michael Moore is still claiming that something unexpected could still happen before the Electoral College deadline on December 19th and backing January 20th protests.

Sarge, don’t get taken to an emergency room near Cook County. Since Obamacare, a certain demographic has been using the ER’s as local clinics if they don’t feel too good. Last Friday, my 96 year old mother sat for 8 hours in the ER waiting room at Elmhurst Hospital with 30 Obama voters. Turns out my mother had 2 small heart attacks. Loyola Hospital ER is just as bad. I thought that opening an urgent care clinic nearby would solve the problem. Nope. The hospitals get about $1500 for an ER visit. Only about $300 for the clinic. No clinic will ever get built at that rate.

Sarge. spot on. Speaking of which, I went to a gun show in my area yesterday. Stocked up on 9mm and 12-ga. 00 buck. Ammo prices were actually lower this time than at the last gun show I attended. There were some bargains on ARs. I’m considering something else for a battle rifle. I’ll just have to do some research. I only know for sure that it WON’T be an AR. Ak is only good out to 200 yards. I need something that can REALLY “reach out and touch someone” like the old Ma Bell commercial says.
Braveheart, i went out shooting with my son, and a friend of his the other day, his friend brought along a Springfield, M1A Scout. I have to tell you, we were shooting at a steel target set up at 610 yards. That M1A only had iron sights, but we were ringing that steel every shot. Now if you put a scope on it, i think you would be able to reach out to 900, to 1000 yards with no problem at all. All in all, i have to say for the money, and being chambered in 7.62X51 (308) it’s really hard to beat. Plus you’ll be able to find ammo for it anywhere in America!.

I have both M1A Standard Match and a M1A Scout I love them. The Scout is my main battle Rifle, and the Standard Match is my long range gun. Yes I have AR (M4) in 223 and 6.8mm, and 308. I like all of them and they have a place in my arsenal and a place to be used.
Brave what is nice about the M1A is that is very similar to your M1 Carbine. The only thing you have to get use to is the weight. If I was you go with the Scout. It is like Chevys and Fords, and I like the M1A over any other 308 (7.62X51), but that is just me.

Sarge, one of my cousins has a M1A and I was very impressed with it. Yes, that extra weight will take some getting used to. So I think I’ll go for the M1A. Pricey, but I think it’ll be worth it.

Hey my friend I got my M1A Scout on Gun Broker for $1,200.00. Retails for $1,700.00. A used M1A is hard to find but you can’t wear them out. So you really don’t need a new one.

Sarge, I have no problem accepting a used weapon as long as it’s in good working order. Most of the weapons I’ve ever owned have been used but still worked like a charm.
Look at a PTR-91, the HK91 clones, in .308, if you want something semi-auto. For a good long-range bolt rifle, though, you can’t beat Granddad’s custom deer rifle in .308 or .30-06, the one he had made out of a Mauser, M1917 Enfield, or Springfield. You can find them with bedded barrels, polished actions, smooth triggers, everything you need for a good 1000-yard rifle, once you get your ammo and drop tables squared away.
Put a proper scope on it and you’re good to go.
