A.I. driven social scores to supplant the Constitution?

Professor Larry Backer of Penn State University writes in a 2018 paper that resistance to social credit systems in the West could be dissolved when the masses are “socialized… as a collective” and “…the great culture management machinery of Western society develop a narrative in which such activity is naturalized within Western culture.”

A 2018 paper written by prominent law professor Larry Backer of Penn State discussed the ways in which a social credit system could be implemented in the West. Backer writes that the shift in law with this system will “…change the focus of public law from the Constitution and rule of law to analytics and algorithm…”

In the paper, titled “Next Generation Law: Data-Driven Governance and Accountability Based Regulatory Systems in the West, and Social Credit Regimes in China“, Backer describes moves to social credit in the West as “fractured”, but gives guidance on how societal norms could be steadily pushed to accept this system.

Backer proposes that the “great culture management machinery” of the West normalize the idea of social credit and sharing private data. Backer writes:

But is it possible to socialize the masses, or even mass democracy as a collective, to embrace this pattern of data disclosure beyond these immediately self-serving closed loop systems? Would it be possible for the state to develop systems for the enforcement of laws (criminal and regulatory) that depends on intelligence by inducing the masses to serve as positive contributors of data necessary for enforcement or regulation? The answer, in Western liberal democracies, may depend on the ability of the great culture management machinery of Western society– its television, movies and other related media–to develop a narrative in which such activity is naturalized within Western culture.

As Big Tech and artificial intelligence creep further into our lives, a grid of high tech surveillance has entangled us. As if to pacify resistance, these systems (Google Home, Apple watches, Amazon Alexa) offer “convenience” in the form of targeted ads, personalized content and other features.

In reality, this system is meant to determine whether or not you will be allowed to function in modern society.

The Trump admin is reportedly considering using this surveillance grid to monitor the population for signs of mental illness, triggering authorities to confiscate firearms from “dangerous individuals”.

In 2013, Old-Thinker News asked the question “Will Insurance Companies Use Smart Appliances to Monitor “Unhealthy” Habits?

As this 2013 Wall Street Journal article stated your insurance company.

…already knows whether you’ve been taking your meds, getting your teeth cleaned and going for regular medical checkups. Now some employers or their insurance companies are tracking what staffers eat, where they shop and how much weight they’re putting on — and taking action to keep them in line.

Artificial intelligence, programmed by power-hungry individuals, is steadily taking over our society. It is already censoring political opinions. It will be making medical, education, and financial decisions. Humans are to be sidelined. The social credit system will be watching you closely for any deviant behavior. If you aren’t careful, you will become an outcast. Access to food, transportation, and medical care will be denied.

      1. I guess we just don’t love freedom enough!

I thought I had found the perfect property to buy in Kentucky. Unfortunately it sold BEFORE the open house I was set to attend. Maybe the sale will fall through, it happens. I want out of Maryland!

        • Justice, I know I love freedom enough to stand against everything that’s coming. The Constitution and Bill Of Rights are the only ‘rulebook’ I follow. Not interested in any social credit.

      2. Health insurance? Forget that as most people don’t have any.

      3. More needless worry that they know your deepest secrets.
        And who the fuck cares.

Social Credit Scores are over 63 years old.
Police records date back to a time before the chemtrail idiots.

It is called your credit score and your police record.
You also may have your school records, records kept in church, records kept by every electronic transaction you ever made.

        Again, who the fuck cares.

Do you think there is anyone that is unfairly scrutinizing you?

If you are a deadbeat shitholer person, I guess the future will be rough on you.

Do you think a felon or a deadbeat shit-holer that never pays bills deserves a good class ranking in society?

      6. There is a recent article about more and more trolls and trolling occurring, who may work for gov’t agencies, special interests groups, “civil” rights organizations, and probably many other groups, including possibly political parties. They are set up in offices where trolls may number from a few to dozens. Their job is to monitor sites, blogs, etc. looking for anything to discredit anyone who does not agree with the “progressive” social agenda. For example, they look for anything that could be construed as racial, anti-semitic, sexist, homophobic, anti-Islamic, anti-gov’t, “conspiracy” theories, and all kinds of various “hateful” comments. These trolls will themselves also anonymously post these kind of comments on various sites to “prove” a site should be taken down or receive some type of censure. They also leave kinds of comments in an effort to try to elicit others to post similar comments, again to “prove” how “hateful’ the site or blog is. Even posting items that are factual and true will not protect you from the trolls. There doesn’t have to be an obvious “hateful” and “hurtful” statement made, so long as it can be twisted to mean what they want people to believe.
It’s curious trolling does not attack anti-white, anti-Christian, pro-straight articles or posts, apparently that’s okay.

      7. I don’t believe in a “balance”, or a handicap, which amounts to Tom and Jerry, forever and ever; the cat is the natural elite.

      8. Like it or not, this business with “social credit” is already being implemented. The more tech we use, the more info is fed into the system. The algorithm is feeding back which programs I will be most likely to enjoy based on those I have already watched. If I watch the degraded, depressive, dangerous, degenerate do-do then I am mentally unstable and shouldn’t have access to guns, knives, or baseball bats. You know something I find more dangerous than Lizzy Bordon, it’s the fact that people who watch “The Lizzy Bordon Chronicles” will believe the television series which has radically altered the facts. Lizzy was no serial killer. At worst, she may have committed one double murder and got away with it. Most likely, though, she was an innocent victim whose parents were murdered by an intruder.

I don’t really care what people think about Lizzy. What concerns me is that as we become less educated, less literate, we will rely more and more on movies and entertainment type technology for our perception of reality. Actually, we already are there. We are all brainwashed.

I watched a show about diagnosis where people share intimate details about their health in order to get a diagnosis. Well maybe it is a good thing for a few people with rare conditions but it certainly is a threat to privacy. And I didn’t fail to notice that the people chosen to include in these stories were in mixed race relationships much more than what exists in reality.

The underlying brainwashing is that race mixing is normal and popular in the USA; and, women are just as likely to be serial killers as men. Lies.

In addition to being brainwashed, people are now being analyzed and judged by what they watch.
