What will happen on election day? Will there be riots, violence or attacks if the results appear to be dubious, or any number of divisive groups take to the streets? What if the election triggers an economic collapse?
There are any number of scenarios that could come to life, but it seems clear enough that America in 2016 is a nation on edge.

The Oath Keepers, as one leading group of militia patriots, have been holding “scenarios and preparation” seminars to prepare the general public and the members of their organization to watch for suspicious election activity – and more importantly – the potential chaos that could result from a disputed election and an angry electorate. Corrupt politicians have to experience genuine fear at some point to change their ways. But, we have a greedy, uneducated public that keeps putting and keeping these people in office. Sometimes there’s only one way to fix this.
Regardless of the winner, this election will not destroy America. Neither will it save us. True, the outcome could slow or accelerate the process of decline. For that reason alone, it is indeed pivotal. And, yes, there may be disruptions to the normal flow of society after the votes are counted. But life is like that.
In fact, the very idea of preparedness is a reflection of that broader view. Prepping may be a way of life for some, but it is not life in its entirety. We ‘prepare’ for certain possibilities in order that we may continue to feed ourselves, protect ourselves, and have the kind of life we want for ourselves and those we love. But the prepping itself is not the sum total of who we are.
All that we encounter in life requires us to make daily decisions, let’s call them ‘preparations’ for what is to follow. The light turns yellow so I prepare to push the brakes. The utility bill is due so I prepare to earn the money and pay the electric provider. Farmers know this process better than most. If they didn’t ‘prepare’ the ground, no harvest would come.
As preppers we may lay aside a certain amount of stored food. Water, or a water source. Clothing, communications, self defense needs, etc. But that isn’t who we are in totality.
As preppers, we must remember it isn’t THAT we are prepared that matters. And it really isn’t WHAT we are preparing for.
The kind of disaster that we anticipate will determine certain aspects of the preparations. A drought and a tsunami have different prepping requirements. As does social unrest, martial law, EMP strikes, meteor impacts and so on. And few of us could possibly be fully ready for all of these. So, we do the best we can based on the situation we think is most likely to affect us.
But we are not preparing simply to live THROUGH a disaster. We are trying to be ready to live AFTER the disaster. To be able to carry on with life- with love, with laughter, with work and dignity and, above all- MEANING for the life we hope to live when the dust has settled.
The best way I know to achieve this kind of preparation is to already be doing it. Even as we scream at the fake politicians, even as we toil for the fake money of a corrupt system, even as we cry or rant, or march over the injustices in the world… even then we keep living life to its fullest.
With that said- go out and hug a little child, be kind to a neighbor who doesn’t deserve it, be forgiving, and patient to a jerk somewhere. It may or may not make a change in them, but it will certainly reduce your stress level. And maybe even make you a better person along the way.

I wonder if the nation wide EMP dosent need a high level nuke going off or a solar flare. Just a group of guys that take out all those special transformers.? I read that there’s not many of them . Yep, it finally came back up after about 45 minutes… sheesh, getting the jitters here.
