I am fully enjoying gardening and learning herbal medicine in my little slice of heaven. That fire was headed my way but was stopped before it got to me… and I am grateful to the 1000 firefighters that saved my home and woods. My dad used to help fight fires in Oregon, like all the men in town, nasty job. It is more high tech now but still a grueling job. Apparently started by the Park Department accidentally. Took a lot of woodland out. I wish Montana and California the best in their firefighting.
