As the world stands at the precipice of a third world war, eerie satellite images show that North Korea is likely getting ready for another nuclear test. The new images are reigniting fears that this could be the final straw that would officially lead to world war 3.

Dramatic satellite images taken earlier this month show disturbing activity on a barge that supports the development of a deadly nuclear submarine. The photos show activity on a second submersible ballistic missile test stand barge at the Nampo Navy Shipyard, a seaport in South Pyongan Province. This particular barge supported the development of the deadly Pukguksong-1 SLBM and the SINPO-Class experimental ballistic missile submarine.

The photo below was taken by satellite on January 6, 2018.

The fitting-out dock is used when vessels need systems such as pumps or electrics to be installed and minor work to be completed before being placed into devastating service. Since the last set of images were taken in December, the barge now has a small floating crane moored alongside it. Though the purpose of the work is unclear, it is probably related to final stages of repair before declaring the barge operational, reported Express.co.uk.

It comes as Kim Jong-un’s repeated tests of his atomic arsenal have caused tensions to heat up in Asia, bringing condemnation from numerous powers and fanned World War 3 fears. This news also surfaces as a nuclear scientist, who has frequently visited North Korea, warned that the nation could have an atomic bomb capable of fitting onto a missile. The director of Los Alamos National Laboratory Sig Hecker said that the rogue regime could also have anywhere between 30 and 60 small mobile nuclear warheads. Speaking to CBS News’ 60 Minutes, Hecker said: “What’s even more important than the 30 or 60, is how small can they make them.”

When prompted as to what the nuclear warheads look like, Hecker said that they looked like a “fission bomb.” “This to me is one that I would call a spherical fission bomb, in other words, the atomic bomb,” Hecker said.  “It looks like a simple bomb. However what I found most important about this is the size of it, it looks to be about 60 centimeters.

Photos from almost two years ago show North Korea’s tyrannical dictator posing with what he claimed was a nuclear warhead small enough to be mounted on a missile. When asked whether it could be mounted to a missile, Hecker said: “They definitely want us to think so.”

      1. This needs to stop ,just the tests are affecting our weather now, we won’t need a big event if ” testing continues” look at the crazy snows and cold in southern states ,nuclear winter folks. We already are starting to glow in the dark and ,that goes for north Korean Kim too………poisoning himself ,self inflicted…….

        • Sorry, you have no idea what you are talking about.

        • Please go away and never come back. you are a total moron with zero understanding of anything remotely nuclear. oh, and BTW- “nuclear winter” is a falsehood. No such thing.

          • Im back never left, this affects our weather ,environment, everyone here knows it ,we could nuke the planet completely cold and dead. Sorry you don’t like me I’m an old timer been lurking for years opsec see ya! Call um like I see um……

      2. Time to terminate the Fat Kid. Beware the Ides of March. 🙁

        • The Ides of March

is a day on the Roman calendar that corresponds to March 15. It was marked by several religious observances and was notable for the Romans as a deadline for settling debts. In 44 BC, it became notorious as the date of the assassination of Julius Caesar.

      3. Of course they are cause they know nothing will be done to them till after the Olympics so they are gonna do the testing they need to get done then they will have what they need to have icbms cus after Olympics all bets are off.

        • I wouldn’t be so sure Godsoldier. Un’s being backed into a corner (granted of his own making in large part); but, a corner all the same. I’d not be surprised if he used the Olympic events as the time to start his own warped brand of festivities. Lighting the torch so to speak. In any war, which technically has been ongoing since the 50’s and what’s appearing to be soon actively being fought again, surprise is always a hallmark of a first strike.

          • Heartless- I was thinking the same thing. Who to say that those 300+ NK’s that are going to SK arent his elite shock-troops to hit at their core first?

        • trump isnt that stupid. i hope trump whacks kim during opening ceremonies. more fun to watch kim light up than the olympic games torch.

        • kim jung would win the olympic weiner eating contest

          • Would someone just please shoot this little bastard?

          • Aren’t you the current world record holder of that category?

            • LOL CrackerJack!

      4. N. Korea tests-fires Agni-V, a nuclear-capable ICBM

        N. Korea has successfully test-fired a long-range intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM), the country’s Defense Ministry said Thursday.

The nuclear-capable Agni-V is believed to be N. Korea’s most advanced ICBM. It was fired Thursday morning N. Korea time from Abdul Kalam island off the coast of the eastern state of Odisha, the ministry said in a tweet.

It called the test a “major boost” to the country’s defense capabilities.

The launch drew the ire of N. Korea’s two most important geostrategic adversaries

      5. Who can blame him after watching what was done to Gaddafi. Gaddafi agreed to not pursue nuclear weapons and passed an IAEC inspection…

Gaddafi was also building the largest desalinazation / irrigation / canal project in the history of the world, to turn the desert into the Imperial Valley.

        • “War is the greatest injustice. We are not fighting the culprits. Those who pay, who incite, who use the media to make people turn against each other – this is who we should fight against.” – Alexey Mozgovoy, commander of the “Ghost” brigade, killed May 23, 2015

        • Gaddafi was jacking around with the Petro Dollar. That is why he got wacked. The bankers were pulling the strings on that deal.

      6. Kim isn’t dumb enough to launch an offensive strike against anyone. It would be suicide and he knows it. He’s just sabre rattling to gain attention. He wants a nuke because he thinks that will make people stand up and take notice.
The USA has defensive resources in over 40 countries, the Pacific, Hawaii, Alaska, and a floating platform in the Pacific.
Go read the Missile Defense Agency website. Read the whole thing – read about our “cooperating partners”

Then come back here and tell me you think anybody (Russia, China, N. Korea) has a snowballs chance of hitting us. If you read up on our ballistic missile defenses and are still scared of N. Korea – then you need a safe space, ya snowflake.

We got NOTHING to worry about.

        • Hitting us is one thing, many probably can, surviving after that is another, and that will be determined by whoever is making the calls here at the time.

        • We have more to worry about our stupid so called representatives ruining our country

        • Don’t fall for the propaganda idiot.

      7. be interesting if the north Koreans nuked themselves by accident.

        • I wouldn’t rule that out. After all, it would be mighty convenient for everyone.

          • NWK & Stuart
Secret is we nuke them and say they nuked themselves. LOL problem over!!!
            Sgt.

            • Nukes have identifiable signatures.

            • Unfortunately that wouldn’t work either. Every nuclear weapon has a radio isotopic fingerprint. China and Russia have a database of these things. (We do too of course) They would know where the material came from. I do know if we detonated a bomb, our database could tell which reactor on which facility and the date of manufacture. Trust me, I’ve been part of this process.

I’m not saying China would know the above things about our weapons, they may, but they would know it wasn’t one of theirs and Russia the same. Since Russia and China border NK and we are in the South, we all have a rough NK fingerprint, and any one of us, China, Russia and US, would know if it was an NK weapon or not.

              • Azrael,
There’s no reason if one knows the fingerprint of a nations nuclear material that a Russia, China or US couldn’t add the right impurities to simulate another nations nuclear fuel.

The US was heavily involved in demilitarizing nuclear weapons from the former Soviet Union, you don’t think the CIA doesn’t have a bunch of that fuel? And after uranium one, thanks Hillary, Russia has bunches of US nuclear material fresh from the mine.

                • Maybe. You are correct about that Soviet/Russian fuel, I know where it’s stored. The fingerprint in what happens after it’s been “cooked” in the reactor and fabricated into buttons/ingots. If the fuel was from a power reactor, it would be much different than from a weapons reactor. Not saying we couldn’t counterfeit Russian material, but it would be difficult.

        • wink wink…

      8. nothing to worry about – we can get Dennis Rodman out of that CA drunk tank = he can pack his party wedding dress and be in NK next week …. party with Little Fat Boy – plenty of whores – drink until Rodman’s tats start to melt ….

should stall NK long enough for Obammy to have his coup and have his Chocolate Nation …..

      9. I am so sick and tired of NK and their antics and threats and their overall bullshit. They have been pulling shit for 25+ years and enough is finally enough. FAT Boy your time has come dough boy.

      10. Watch what happens, they will do the test on a 400mt explosive right during the olympics and unleash Godzilla!
        Aaaaas
        Run
        Its Godzirra

      11. Actually the crowd in the top picture are watching an old Stooges episode where Curly is getting slapped around.

      12. If I had a son or daughter who was an Olympian I would advise them not to go. If Anything happens during the Olympics it’s on and the entire Korean Peninsula becomes a funeral pyre

      13. Is this the same satellite that showed us Saddam’s “weapons of mass destruction” launchers being maneuvered back in the day?
