Earlier this week we noted that an invasion of the Ukraine by Vladimir Putin would likely lead to a complete destruction of U.S. stock markets. It’s not so much the invasion force itself, but rather, the economic maneuvers that would come with it should Russia take this course of action.
Well known economist and founder of the Shadow Stats web site John Williams seems to agree. If Russia were to begin unloading US Dollars it would almost instantly lead to a collapse of not only our financial markets, but our entire way of life. And while Russia alone may not have the economic power to single-handedly crush the U.S. economy, if their trading partners and allies like China got into the mix, coupled with front-running investors who may suspect the move is about to happen, it could well be a blood bath on a global scale.
This wouldn’t even be an issue if the U.S. economy were operating at healthy levels, but as Williams notes in the following interview with Greg Hunter’s USA Watchdog, it’s anything but:
What you have to keep in mind is that back in 2008 we had one of the greatest financial crises the United States ever faced. The system was on the brink of collapse at that point in time.
What the Fed and the federal government did was spend every penny they could, anything they could create or anything they could guarantee. They did everything they could possibly do to keep the system from crashing. They guaranteed all bank accounts. So, they saved the system, but now what they did has not borne fruit. We have not seen an economic recovery. We have not seen a return of health to the banking system.
So, the system is very vulnerable; and if the Russians carry through with their threat, you have, indeed, the risk of it collapsing the system.

It does have the effect of creating a hyperinflation, which I think it would. It’s the type of circumstance that will not allow life to continue as we know it because the U.S. is not able to handle hyperinflation.
We’re not structured for it. Zimbabwe had one of the worst hyperinflations that anyone has ever seen. They were still able to function for a while because they get paid in a rapidly depreciating currency.
It was so rapid it became like toilet paper overnight… they would go to a black market and exchange it for dollars. We (the U.S.) don’t have a black market to escape from our dollars. Gold is probably the closest thing to that. Gold will tend to rally here as the dollar sells off, barring very heavy intervention by the central banks which you may see.
The fundamentals will eventually dominate, and you will see a very weak dollar and very strong gold coming out of this.
As it stands now, even without Russia and China, our economic system is, once again, on the cusp of a serious deleveraging. John Williams highlights that January retail sales, a leading indicator of economic health, gave the strongest signal since September 2007 that a recession is looming, if not already here.
One huge indicator of this is that Staples, a leading supplier of office supplies nationwide, is shutting the doors on 225 stores. And, they aren’t the only ones getting hammered by a pullback in consumer spending. The world’s largest retailer, Walmart, saw sales drop over 20% year-over-year in the fourth quarter of 2013.
And as trend forecaster Gerald Celente once noted, “as goes Walmart, so goes America.”
So, in reality, Russia can probably sit back and watch the U.S. economy slip into a coma over the next couple of years. Of course, if their intention is to return their nation to super power status, an attack on the US economy by dumping the dollar would speed up the process and amplify the fall-out, causing a multi-generational depression.
Last year Barack Obama faced off with Russia over Syria, a situation that could easily have led to a much wider conflict.
Now, the same players have taken the game to Ukraine.
In both instances we’ve heard warnings of a potential collapse of our economic system in the event of an escalation.
The point is that it really doesn’t matter if it’s Syria, Ukraine, Iran or some other periphery conflict.
It should be clear that eventually this is exactly how it’s going to play out with respect to the US dollar.
China and Russia will make their move when they are good and ready.
When that day comes the implosion will be so fast that most Americans won’t even realize what has happened or know how to cope.
The hardest thing is nailing down the timing but rest assured it’s coming sooner rather than later.
Make sure you keep very little in financial institutions. Cash on hand in small denominations and plenty of barter items.

Here is my theory. Vladimir dumps 200M worth of bonds into the market, the Fed will bail the US Government out. Other countries will see this happening and start to cash in on their bonds as well, then we’ll see this house of cards fall apart, the dollar will be printed out of value.
This would enable the Russians to destroy our government without firing a single shot or looking like the bad guys in the international community. China will come to the rescue with a gold backed yuan. Then its welcome to a de-americanized world.
Could this be what Putin and his people had in mind all long? Only time will tell.

I’ve always had a slight disagreement with the precious metals argument. If the SHTF so badly that we are bartering with each other, a can of beans will be worth more than a lump of gold as big as that can.

I just saw a scientific article that studied vinegar as a disinfectant. They used a vinegar solution slightly more concentrated (at 6%) than the kind you buy at the store. It killed germs better then bleach, including drug resistant tuberculosis. They found the 25% solution was needed to get the toughest germs but commented that, even at that strength, it had fewer toxic problems than chlorine for the people using it.
I think many of us have probably been using vinegar in cleaning solutions for years but this was a nice confirmation of the practice.
I can’t speak to if cinnamon and honey work for all these cures but I can validate from personal experience that cinnamon helps. I was diagnosed with MS a couple years ago and the medicine I take reduces my white blood count (confirmed by bloodwork every 4 months). I am unable to get the flu shot because it interacts with the medicine. Everyday I have cinnamon in my oatmeal and while everyone at work is sick 2 to 3 times a year or more I am not(knock on wood). I started putting it in my husbands coffee to help with his diabetes 2 problem. There are studies out there that show cinnamon and honey help with all kinds of things. Modern day medicine isn’t always the answer, because of food allergies I don’t eat processed food which I believe causes more issues for the human body.

The federal reserve does not return profits to the U.S. The fed buys treasuries and when they redeem, we pay them back the value of the bonds plus a premium a.k.a interest). From our prospective, that is called debt service. You, know, that good ole national debt clock. By the way, a significant percentage of that amount on the debt clock is what we the people owe the federal reserve.
The Feds role is to control the money supply. I.e. Create and destroy money.
You are right in that the economy did collapse in 2008. Quantitative Easing (QE) is like a parachute in that it masks the collapse. The collapse is permanent as confirmed in September of 2012 with the announcement of QE Infinite.
QE Infinite (QE3) signifies a continuous creation of money with no destruction of money. That is why we create 75 – 85 billion dollars of new money every month.

Yes, an appraisal is conducted on real estate, plant and equipment for small businesses, but for Multinational Corporations and other banks who are the recipients of these loans, funds are loaned via a revolving credit facility, ie line of credit. “LTV” is not used.
This credit facility for major corporations is based upon stock pe ratio, historical earnings, current revenue, sales, balance and income statements, and credit rating.
These assets will have some value as they always do in a BK and the secured Banksters get first bite. That is one of the Rules. Losses will be deducted against other bank earnings and these assets eventually sold.
These assets have significant value that could and would eventually be recouped and would only be “worthless” in the event of a nuclear war. 🙁

That bubble is bursting as we type. How many Yuan will have to be printed to paper over the losses of Chinese banks when they create their own QE program to protect their banks?

That discount would apply to anyone else trying to sell, also. So the entire world’s holdings of American debt would be degraded, encouraging some, maybe all, to dump before it became worthless. The rush to sell would be almost impossible to contain.
If the Fed were to monetize the debt by buying up the Treasuries, the dollar would flood the market and most likely would cause the value to tumble, perhaps catastrophically.

The fact IS that while US bonds, like the dollar are not backed by gold anymore, they do facilitate global commerce and if it did not exist then another global currency would be required to be the world reserve currency of choice.

Don’t know where this response will show up but in reply to Russia ruining the USA stock market or the dollar just use a little math. All of USA agriculture production is valued in billions of dollars. If the Russians and Chinese spent a few hundred billions buying up just wheat we would have no bread on shelves or if they bought a hundred billion dollars of corn, milk and meat prices would be so high the average person would do without.
What I am getting at is if these trading partners turned trading enemies, and redeemed their dollars in preps of food and medicine instead of catipillar equipment then they could indeed have a devastating effect maybe not on our economy but for sure our very basic way of life. If they bought all our food to redeem their dollars and then sold our food to the rest of the world at a loss then our lack of tradable goods would make the rest of the world dependent on them instead of us. In the past we used cheap grain as a more effective weapon in world trade than bullets. With our poor free trade policy we have weakened our dollar to the point where our most effective weapon could be used against us in the form of poverty and unrest internally and lack of influence globally.

Ky Mom….I have found that heirlooms seeds do not germinate well. One would need to double their stash of heirlooms. My germination rate was about 50 %. I had to replant 3 times until I finally got frustrated and went to Lowe’s for organic seeds (that grew like gangbusters.) Finally found on a gardening site that this was true and not just my imagination.

Dear ed: It’s not Chicken Little. Years ago people knew what would happen eventually, only all the details were not very clear but they knew the general direction that they were going. Now that things have happened and are continuing to happen, the scary details are become very evident. It’s like driving down a road and you can see a danger sign ahead but you don’t know exactly what the danger is until you are right there and ready to drive off a cliff. We are right there at the end of that road.
Your comment reminds me of a dream I had awhile back… I was driving to my brother’s place and there was collapsed buildings and refuse on both sides of the road– everywhere I looked, I saw things had collapsed. And in front of me, I saw more collapse and damage. Well, recently, I moved to my brother’s… and all anyone sees is collapse.

Good advice , do not forget to include self defense items suitable for the evac scenario.
Concealment and stealth if not a total SHTF collapse scenario , suitable handgun kept out of site and the ability to move fast and quietly . If a full bore breakdown occurs grab your body armor , go bag and a battle rifle, it isn’t going to matter at this point once the festivities start.
Make sure your gear includes the essentials for Water , shelter, protection and food.
Keep it light not exceeding a 40 lb max load out to allow for high speed egress.
Replace your items with equivalent titanium ones for reduced weight . The ideal pack size for being fast and light is around 40 liters 2400 CI in capacity. You can augment the size with add ons.
At this point you should have most of your preps if not accelerate your Aquisition .
As you said get the best gear you can afford my choice for a high speed battle proven GOOD bag is a kifaru express molle with a detachable kifaru e and e bag . All my gear where possible , canteens , cups stoves etc are titanium for weight reduction. Invest in good gear I, ESEE makes very good survival gear that is moderately priced and is exceptionally rugged.
Invest in a good sleeping system you can not beat the us military sleep system. It contains a patrol bag good to down 32,degrees , an intermediate bag good down to 0 degrees when used with the goretext bivy , total system combined is good to -40 . These are not exactly light weight but are tough and dependable and will not fail under field use.
Shelter system in winter I use a kifaru paratarp with a para stove ( small wood stove for tent use)
Total shelter and stove weight is under 6 lbs. I have used this combo down to 10 degrees and it kept the paratarp at 70 degrees! A really good well thought out system. A lot of kifaru gear is being used by recon elements in Afghanistan by special operation groups. you can only go 3 hours in extreme conditions before seeking shelter.another shelter alternative is a Hennessy hammock I have an explorer extreme for when I do nut want to carry the paratarp.
Water try to include 3 methods of purifity water you can only go,for 3 days without access to water. I use a Katadyne pocket filter ( good for 13000) gallons ) its built like a tank. I also,use a steri pen with a solar charging case , third option purification tablet aqua pure. I also recommend a way to boil water for purification , I have a titanium canteen and canteen cup system produced by Heavy Cover.it has to be seen to be believed.
Provide 3 methods to,produce fire , NATO matches , EESE ferro fire starter with tinder, solar fire starter ( tinder hot solar fire starter by solo scientific ) comes in a metal tin. I also have a fire piston , you can also include an esbit or ember lite stove for field cooking when safe to do so .
Have 3 pair of socks minimum,( smart wool ) change and rotate when wet. and appropriate undergarments ( under armor makes very good poly blend underwater) pack lightweight rain gear columbia makes a very packable version. You do not want to be cold and wet.
Have appropriate durable clothing and good boots ( DANNER us made recommended)
Have a PFAK with trauma bandages , first aid supplies and a CAT turniquet .
Tactical Taylor makes a very good load bearing belt system I have their fight light line using a riggers belt,with suspenders , you can get molle pouches to suit your needs.
Resonable body armor can be obtained from Infidel Body Armor owned and operated by a veteran. I have their viper model with level III rifle plates.
The main thing is read and educate you self now and practise with your gear be you need to,deploy it in a hostile environment. Keep it up to date and ready to go you may only have minutes to evac from your present location , be adaptable.

An older one took a bullet in Gulf War 1 had it stored in my assault pack that filter was of an unknown age it was issued to us, every once in a while non US produced gear is appropriated by private purchas for the troops that item has no domestic produced counter part upon approval of the local command authority.
You have to disassemble clean and dry before storage , lube all of the seals with the silicone grease do not use petroleum based grease it will degrade the seals . In winter place in a plastic bag keep in your sleeping bag at night to prevent freezing it will crack the filter if this occurs .
Once a year dissassemble and inspect all seals replace any that look dried out ot have nicks in he surface of the seal , you can get replacement sets from Katadyne or as an emergency alternative use an appropriate O ring .
The filter does come with a lifetime guarantee and Katadyne does recognize it.
This filter system has been around for about 40 years I used one in the military and bought my own being impressed with the durability it’s an all aluminum / stainless steel construction.
Expensive but worth it , 2 filters in reserve will provide a life time of service.

-My HOUSE isn’t that big. What it does contain is a bridge supply of resources to keep me going while I transition to the new reality. This includes the tools I will need to build more resources.
Any portable version will have to be VERY carefully chosen to provide the bridge as well as the tools, and you will need to be in shape if you expect it to sustain you indefinitely. To my mind, a bag is to get me to a place where I can develop (or un-cache)more resources and rebuild.

I have done all the preps and my stuff will outlive me. When the big department stores shut down, so what! The grocery stores will soon have inflated prices so get ready to plant and store goods. Flea market vegetables have jumped in price. Most baskets up a $1.00. Higher prices being past on to the consumer.
What we should think about if an economic collapse happens is number one, Who will have a job? Second what is the paper money going to be worth. The power plant worker and police will be around. The worth of the paper money will adjust to find its own value. Going to the flea markets for years the prices have been going up. Slowly. Now for certain items, tools for one item, they are twice the price you use to pay. Very little room to bargain. Could tool pricing become like ammo prices?
Get to know the true value of material and how to trade or barter. Another item to think about is the change in your pockets. Some may take even this composite junk instead of paper dollars. Pennies before 1981 and nickels before 2014. Hmmmmmmm.
People who sell gold are believers in precious metals and they know hyperinflation is coming. Steve Quayle is an example.

How do you know but what they are taking the dollars you send them and converting them into hard assets? You infer that they are being hypocrites because they want you pay for the information and advice they provide.

The point those of us who say that the dollar is worthless, is that its INTRINSIC value is worthless. It offers no store of value beyond the willingness of the general population to accept it for payment for goods and services.
Historically…..ALL fiat currencies have reverted to their intrinsic value….which is the paper on which they are printed.
HARD ASSETS are a store of value because they are of use to someone. Again….historically, gold, silver and other precious metals have maintained that value, because someone, somewhere HAS been willing to provide goods or services to obtain them. It’s as simple as that.
Of course, in a SHTF situation….or at least the initial stages of a SHTF situation, even PM’s may not have much value as compared to things that are necessary for survival at the moment. But EVENTUALLY….some medium of exchange is established that doesn’t require you to carry all of your possessions around with you in order to trade. THAT is why PM’s have always been recognized as REAL money. There is an objective way to determine the value of them relative to the things people want and need. There’s nothing magical about PM’s being what has historically been the fallback means of trade. It’s just logical. PM’s are portable and easily verified as being trustworthy.
The value of our fiat dollar is ultimately determined by the world’s acceptance of the “full faith and credit of the United States”. Anyone who is paying attention can see that the basis for that “full faith and credit” is eroding rapidly. We don’t make anything anymore….We consume. All we have to offer the world is our consumption. And we offer fiat dollars with no intrinsic value as payment for their goods and services.
This is not sustainable. And anyone who says it is…..is a fool.

There won’t be an underground economy in silver, gold and bartering unless there’s enough food being produced without tractors. You can’t trade with someone for food unless you have more than enough extra and how can you know that? You might have a farm but do you have enough food on hand to feed the workers working the farm with hand tools? Maybe if the collapse happens at the right time and all you need is people to bring in the harvest then maybe you’d be OK.

JJ, a gasoline engine tractor would have to be available. Few Americans have diesel cars. Existing supplies of diesel would go quickly if people tried to use the behemoth farm tractors common today.
I have IH 460 gasoline powered tractor. There are many older gas tractors like mine. Lots of 560’s, M’s and H’s.

But, before you hitch the kids up to the old one furrow plow, remember a plow only turns the top six inches of sod.
Buy yourself extra spades, d-handle and straight for variety.
You can manually turn the ground. What we sometimes do is dig a slit trench however long your garden is, spread composted manure on the exposed earth and move over one space and start turning dirt again. If you want you can and maybe should take your garden fork and run it through first.
It only sucks while you are doing it.
After the first couple of days if you haven’t given up you will pick up the system and keep going till it is done.
I have watched many a mennonite work 40 acre fields and bigger by hand. Myself never more than 3 acres. Have harvested large fields of hay and corn by hand though.

Tilling is an outdated way of attempting agriculture meant for farms using unsustainable, industrial scale methods. Permaculture is the only sustainable, long term method of agriculture.

My grandparents had a farm during the Great Depression and would fill people’s vehicles with produce when they came by. They had orchards and chickens and had more than enough for their family. So it really is best to be in this type of location when SHTF, even if you don’t have a place yourself– better chance of being given handouts to help you survive!

Getting the first green tomatoes starting to set on the plants. Carrots, beets, radishes, broccoli, peppers, lemons, oranges etc. all doing well. No Winter this year except for three weeks.
Bottom line is do WHAT you can WHILE you can….money does not have to come into play here, really…..some will buy dried milk and eggs, but I will dry them myself…IF some company can do it, so can you…albeit on a much smaller scale….but, I think it would be far healthier to do it yourself. Also, dry your own fruit, vegies, and meat…I made racks for drying out of screen and old picture frames…IF YOU CAN THINK IT, YOU CAN DO IT

As far as dumping US bonds, you gotta have a buyer in order to dump anything. Stock or bonds. When you “dump”, your bond/stock it is put in line with others stocks and bonds at the exchange and when an order to buy said stock or bond, if yours is next in line to be bought, you can dump it. If nobody is buying your stock or bond, your stuck with it. I’m pretty sure that’s how it works. So if a US T-bond is worth nothing the holder of this stock would be screwed. Once again, why would a holder of US bonds do this to themselves?

If China gets a sense (or more likely a direct tip from Putin) that they’re about to dump their U.S debt, China would convince them to coordinate it with them. But once it starts, everyone will HAVE TO sell, for whatever they can get, knowing if they don’t get something FAST, their paper will have ZERO value.

The devaluation of the dollar is the reason Putin and Li Keqiang (I believe)would sell to protect themselves much as you or i would if the value of a stock was supposed to tank. Get rid of the “gangrenous” stock to protect yourself.

Last I checked a truck sales website every canadian truck for sale there showed asking price of say $50,000 Canada dollars..The webiste automatically Converts it into us dollars. And as of just 3 days ago last I checked there trucks, that $50,000 canadian dollare truck was listed for aprox $45,000 to $45,325 sale in us dollars.
This has NOT happened for decades. Like ever since the 1980’s and Early 90’s when a us dollar got you aprox $1.50 in canadadian cash values.
So far its only about 10% less but still we see zero mad dash to offload canada dollars eh.
That also shows us dolllars are NOT “Precipitiously Devaluing as we speak”…Us dollars have held steady around .80 levels. yes it varries day to day a “Bit” but that Bit is only from .80 down to .79.7 or so…Other days it goes UP from .80 to .82.

Because we’ve been printing up money without anything to back it, the overall value of the dollar is shrinking. One chart from the Fed showed that a current dollar buying power is $0.05 of the original dollar when the current system started up in 1913. So, maybe precipitously is a strong word given this shrinkage has occurred over a 100 years.

I put a lot of stock in what John Williams says. He’s a very sharp economist. His free reports are worth checking out and so are all his interviews. He first forecast hyperinflation for 2020 a few years ago but keeps revising his predictions for earlier and earlier. Last I saw, he predicts a collapse of the dollar by the end of the second quarter of 2014 (6-30-2014).
As other people have said, Russia could trigger a run on the dollar and an economic collapse but it could just collapse on its own at any time without any outside help. All that’s needed is individual foreign investors to lose confidence in the dollar and start dumping them. A Zero Hedge article from last year claimed that 1/15 of all the dollars in existence are held just in Argentina alone.
People like Jim Willie and Greg Hunter think 2014 is the year too. I’m preparing like it is.

Another warning? How many is this now? How many years have they been saying, the economic collapse in near. Wasn’t the latest collapse supposed to have happen in November-December 2013 time frame? Well, its four months later and no collapse.

For many the collapse is here. Those who are unemployed. Many companies are closing stores. I await Obama Care. The Dollar is looking sick and the world is tired of it being the Reserve Currency. Foreclosed homes and people with food stamps going the Food Pantry’s in our neighborhood. Crime on the upswing. Major cities bankrupt or have become ghetto’s.

Thank you for your response and point of view; you make some excellent points. I agree fully that for many the collapse is already in progress and my heart goes out to them knowing the challenges they face, however, the currency fluctuation and manipulation has occurred many times in the past and people have lost their jobs and their homes and with this all of the other points you mention above have coincided as a result and yet, the U.S. has not collapsed.
This is nothing new only that more attention is being paid to it with the availability of the internet and social media that provide avenues of alternative news and point of views. Other administrations (Carter) also experienced faulty economies which also resulted in the above, but again, we as a Nation still prevailed.
Again, I thank you for your point of view and appreciate the debate.

Think about this; if a drop of water is added to a stadium and then one minute later it doubles in size to two drops, and then one minute after that it doubles again to 4 drops, and so on.. doubling in size every minute, how much time do you have to leave your seat and get out of the stadium before the water reaches your seat at the very top?
Think about it for a moment. Is it hours, days, weeks, months?
The first drop of water lands right in the middle of the field, at 1pm.
You have exactly until 1:49pm. It takes less than 50 minutes to fill a whole football stadium with water! This is impressive!
Now, think of that first drop of water as our failed economy of the first year; and that is why we are near a collapse.
It’s an interesting analogy but economics is much more complicated than that. We’re near economic collapse because of all the laws passed by Obama that are killing the economy. Obamacare is the biggest one but there are others too. The dollar is dying but one reason it’s still hanging on is worldwide investor confidence in the dollar.
The metaphor is nice but it all depends on the factor used. Here it is 2. Every step doubles the preceding amount.
It would be good if we could have a more exact idea of the actual factor involved in our real life economic situation. It is probably not 2.

NCD, spring is here on the wet side of Oregon and one of the signs is, “chicks for sale” and this year I’m replacing my current crop of layers and so today is NCD, new chick day, six each of barred rocks and rhode island reds, in a few more weeks we will be getting a couple of dozen shitkins AKA Cornish X and a couple more turkeys. Putting potatoes in the ground any day now and starting seeds in the green house this weekend. I need to pick up a couple more loads of composted horse manure from a local stable and the garden will be ready for planting. The rhubarbs are starting to pop out of the ground and while on my morning walk I noticed that the wild garlic mustard is growing.
This may be a little off topic, but I was just thinking about this as I was cleaning the bathroom… The US has missile defense systems, right? So if say Russia or China tried to fly a nuke at us, wouldn’t it most likely be exploded overhead somewhere before it even hit the US(stay with me)? But if it gets exploded overhead, that would still cause an EMP, right? So, what if all this posturing in the Ukraine is just to get someone to shoot a nuke, so we can blow it up, causing an EMP that brings down the grid, plunging the US into the chaos that TPTB obviously so desperately want? Because I keep wondering why the global elite would want to nuke the world when they have to live here too?? I mean, obviously they have a plan to destroy us, and we know a grid down situation would be very successful in that way. What do you guys think? This theory also gives me hope, because maybe the people who are prepared for grid down will survive, and hey… that’s us!! 🙂
Well, for starters if the U.S. shot down an incoming missile it would not detonate. The warhead may or may not be damaged in the attack on it and if it is damaged there would be radioactive material falling to Earth but nothing like a nuclear weapon’s detonation. It would be similar to that Russian satellite that crashed in…Canada? (IIRC) long ago. The onboard reactor was recovered with very little nuclear material being spread on the ground. Now if any country with nuclear weapon capability wanted to EMP any other country I don’t think there is a way to stop that from happening. As many have written before the best way to end the U.S.A. would be to launch two or three EMP missiles from the Gulf of Mexico from barges above the U.S. equidistant apart at an altitude of about 250 miles. This would saturate the entire U.S. including Mexico, Canada and Alaska. The only state not getting EMP’d would be Hawaii. As soon as they launched the missiles the barges would be sunk and no one would know what country did it. This scenario has been around the Internet for a long time and I think it is the most feasible. Whatever happens in the near future will be devastating to the U.S. of that I am sure. Hold onto your socks! It’s going to be a rough ride!
It would not cause an EPM, it takes actually detonating the nuke payload, blowing up the missile will not detonate the nuke. If Russia and or China were to send a missile it would be accompanied by hundreds or thousands more with multiple warheads. We would retaliate in the same way, it’s called MAD Mutual Assured Destruction, it’s a product of the 70’s area of the cold war.

Do we have missile defense systems in the US? I’ve never seen any land based. We have ship and air platforms for anti-missile. Something has to break at some point. This has been going on for years now. They continue to pump the system up. It will not last forever, but it has gone on for so long now no one can really say when it will collapse. The best thing you can do is stay focused on the Lord and do the best you can to prepare your family, spiritually, mentally and/or otherwise.
