One of the most dangerous experiments that mankind has ever embarked upon is DARPA’s desire for gene drive technology. Scientists now have the knowledge and the tools they need to create and deliver “Doomsday genes” which can selectively target and exterminate an entire species.
According to Sputnik News, and as previously reported by SHTFPlan, the United States highly-secretive and advanced military research body DARPA (Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency) announced that it will invest tens of millions of dollars into genetic extinction research. While the official aim of this research is said to be fighting harmful insects, like mosquitos which carry Malaria, there are significantly darker implications and speculations surrounding the possible use of such a tool.
Joe Joseph of The Daily Sheeple said a quick Google search would give you enough information to let you know how horrific this kind of technology can be. “…and you’ll find it fascinating just at how unbelievable a weapon this could be, how unintentionally mistakes can be made that can cause irreversible damage…irreparable damage…to the human race. And I mean, FAST!” Joseph said. “A gene drive…if let’s just say there’s a mistake, you could feasibly wipe out the human race in a very very short period of time. It’s an unbelievable tool at the disposal of madmen.”
Emails released under the Freedom of Information Act (FOIA), suggest that the U.S.’s uber-secretive military body, DARPA, has become the world’s largest funder of this “gene drive” research.
Silvia Ribeiro, Latin America director of the ETC Group, an international organization dedicated to the conservation and sustainable advancement of cultural and ecological diversity and human rights, said: “When it is developed under an umbrella of a military research, you get a clear notion that there can be a dual purpose of this research.”
Jim Thomas, a co-director of the ETC group which obtained the emails, said the US military’s influence in furthering this technology would strengthen the case for a moratorium. “The dual-use nature of altering and eradicating entire populations is as much a threat to peace and food security as it is a threat to ecosystems,” he said. “Militarization of gene drive funding may even contravene the Enmod convention against hostile uses of environmental modification technologies.”

That Hideous Strength by CS Lewis predicted all this in a fictional form over half a century ago. Issue is, if in fact there is a God, and a spiritual world, these people are messing with stuff (macrobes in the book) far, far, FAR beyond their ken.

Oh my, what could possibly go wrong? ?
So which would you rather have:
1. Mass starvation.
2. Vaporized by an atom bomb.
3. Genetically modified mosquito bites you and you die.
4. Dozens of other horrible ways to be killed.
One of these will come to be.
The genetic modification is not that likely. We already have that tech and it has not been used! We developed a genetically modified poppy plant (source of opium) that has no opium sap. It was to be spread across Afghanistan to eliminate 90% of all the heroin in the world. But political correctness decided we could not take the natives major source of income and eliminate it. So we instead let millions rot and die of heroin addiction.
Uhhh, wrong! We took over the opium trade to fund black ops. Why do you think we are over there guarding it? Besides, what business is it of yours to tell someone else what they can do with their body? The road to hell is paved with good intentions ya know.
If heroin is fetching such exorbitant prices on the world market, how come those agriculturists have turned into millionaires yet?
They can as well switch to cultivating vegetables, wheat, or maize, I don’t think it would hurt them.

unsophisticated Labs, you can do all sorts of intended and un-intended damage.
You’d better bet many other governments, and private firms
are manipulating organisms genetically to make new “things”
GMO foodstufs or the new Chinese “super rice” for example.
The trick is to understand ALL the impacts of your new creation.
That is where I’d trust DARPA, even if they weaponized a life-form, they’d be smart enough to also create a way to control or eliminate the threat, least it be used against it’s creators.
The worry is the martyrs of the world, such as the Moslems who believe that dying in Jihad guarantees a ticket to heaven.
Or Buddhists like Pol Pot that believed killing “useless” people gives the person a chance to return and do a better job in another life.

The research that could do us the most good but that is the most dangerous would be in helping people to learn more quickly and solve problems more rapidly. Raising the mental abilities of people who seem set on the destruction of humanity. Choose any scientific field. What was known about it forty years ago might require only one textbook. Today, it takes a number of books, some like a set of encyclopedias (remember those?). Our doom comes when all of the would-be know-it-alls actually do know it all and can use it!
DARPA’s agenda is the same as Nimrod: the unification of all nations under one language, one chief: Antéchrist!! … claiming this is the way to happiness and peace!!!

This could be used in other, similarly inhuman ways. E.g. homosexuals have recently become more “gene specific” than they were previously – wasn’t there a “homosexual gene” discovered not long ago?
Suppose this gene has two alleles, one predisposing for homosexuality and the other for the “normal” variety? Either of these would make all of us “gene specific”.
The United States Army has been doing this for centuries. Why would they stop now?
