Cannabidiol infused foods and drinks have been on the rise, as the oil’s popularity skyrockets.  Carl’s Jr. is the next business to look into adding CBD oil to food items in order to expand their market to include the products.

Maybe CBD oil is the wave of the future! Professional chefs have already declared CBD and cannabis infusion to be the trend of 2019, and Carl’s Jr. want a piece of the market. The fast-food joint will test a CBD-infused burger at one of its Denver locations on April 20, making it the first national fast-food chain to add CBD to its menu.  Carl’s Jr. is following in the footsteps of other restaurants and eateries too.

Along with the jump in desire for CBD and cannabis-infused products comes an interest in hemp seed oil as well.  All natural oils such as these contain many holist health benefits and it really isn’t surprising that Carl’s Jr. wants to jump in feet first with a test this weekend.

The problem for some is that the Food and Drug Administration prohibits companies from adding CBD oil to food or beverages, according to CNBC But that isn’t stopping anyone. Laws only exist if people are willing to follow them.

The burger chain’s Rocky Mountain High: CheeseBurger Delight features two beef patties, pickled jalapenos, pepper jack cheese, waffle fries — and about 5 milligrams of hemp-derived CBD extract in the burger chain’s Santa Fe Sauce. This limited time burger offer will sell for $4.20 (get it? A nod to 4/20 – also the date Carl’s Jr. will test the burger). For those worried about getting “high,” don’t be. CBD oil does not contain any psychoactive properties.

Cannabidiol is extracted from the flowers and buds of marijuana or hemp plants. It does not produce intoxication; marijuana’s “high” is caused by the chemical tetrahydrocannabinol (THC). –WebMDCannabidiol is extracted from the flowers and buds of marijuana or hemp plants. This new craze is sweeping our nation and taking the health industry by storm.  As big pharma continues to fail people with their side-effects laced drugs, look for more holistic health products made from hemp to pop up. But in the meantime, make sure to take the time to understand that CBD oil is not dangerous.

Cannabidiol – or “CBD” – is one of over 100 compounds found in cannabis sativa plants (including hemp) that belong to a class of naturally occurring, biologically active chemical constituents called cannabinoids.

Carl’s Jr. decision to debut the burger in the “Mile High City” is no mere coincidence. Denver is known as the Mile High City because it’s exactly one mile above sea level, but you can see the connection cannabis enthusiasts have made here. Colorado was also one of the first U.S. states to legalize recreational marijuana. As a result, cannabis is one of the state’s fastest growing industries. Last year, the state’s medical and retail dispensaries sold $1.55 billion of marijuana, according to Colorado’s marijuana sales report.

      1. Some fast-food joint puts any drug in my food….. regardless of the so-called ‘benefits’… is drugging me against my will. I guess it is why I prefer to cook my own meals.

        • CBD oil does not contain any psychoactive properties.

          (You’re welcome, clear thinkers.)

          • Can CBD show up on a drug test?
You may test positive on a drug screening that specifically tests for THC if you are taking a CBD product that also contains THC, however minuscule the amount. It is not advisable to use a Full Spectrum CBD formula if you are randomly drug screened for this reason.

Unless it is 0 high oil you might fail a drug test. Many morons might lose their jobs lol.

            • “Laws only exist if people are willing to follow them.”

That! Applies to unconstitutional anti-gun laws too, gov’t cock fags.

          • Anon, I don’t care whether this CBD does or does not contain some psycho-active drug. I don’t want any drug with simple meat and bread sandwiches. I don’t care if they decided to “help” my health by injecting vitamin c or something, keep the food clear of any doping whatsoever. Whether I imbibe in anything is my choice – which happens to be zero. I do not drink nor do any drug. Maybe at best a couple of aspirin over the course of a year. That’s it. And it has to be one hell of a headache even then. You or anyone want to get high as kites or to just feel all ‘healthy’….fine by me. I’ll drive you home or remark how fit you appear. But do not expect me to wax poetic over some Wimpy burger with a drug in it. I don’t get it at all – what is the thrust to a society that puts drugs on pedestals? Seems to me man can process basic foods into whatever his body needs. Or at least has for millennia.

CBD oil does not contain any psychoactive properties.

              h says, ” I don’t care if they decided… my choice…”

It’s clearly labeled. Noone is tricking you.

              It’s a plant.

            • Some drugs are grown in trees, big enough to climb — more than any one person can ever realistically use. And, why must this cause a moral dilemma.

You’re like the kids, who couldn’t tour Willie Wonka’s chocolate factory, without wrecking yourselves.

New, high tech is supposed to be ruinous to savages, which is how I think of irresponsible drug users.

      2. Weedburgers!!!Get your weedburgers here!!!
        Waiting for the commercial.

      3. Beef is unhealthy no matter what you artificially infuse into it.

But I am in favor of anything that will cull the population of the obese. EAT FATTY EAT AND DIE

      4. Pass on the fries. The oils they are fried in are low quality trans-fats.

Alzheimers disease and dementia have been linked to food additives, nitrates, chemicals in preservatives, and sugar.

CBD oil can be purchased separately from food. I don’t think it’s such a great idea to add it to addictive fast food.

        .

      5. Plenty to look forwards to as they push drugs into every facet of everybody’s lives:

Seattle’s Suicide: Drugs And Homelessness Take Their Toll On The City
Widespread drug use and homelessness in plaguing all socialist regions of the country. From San Francisco, where pedestrians have to literally watch the homeless shoot up, to Los Angeles where Medieval diseases have returned thanks to policies which have made it impossible for everyday Americans to scrape by anymore.

      6. People should have the liberty to right to eat what they want.

Kudos to Carl’s Jr. for disclosing the ingredient and telling the FDA to go pound sand.

As for my personal choices, I’m with Heartless.

      7. Is CBD the part that gives you the munchies? One could eat oneself to death at Carl’s.

      8. First off you dummies above … turn your brains on and read the article. It is by choice is you wish to get this burger. It is NOT forced upon you and you do not have to have any CBD even if you ordered the burger. It is put into the sauce not the burger DUH! “and about 5 milligrams of hemp-derived CBD extract in the burger chain’s Santa Fe Sauce.” Just tell them no sauce if you don’t want it. But what is really dumb is people can put CBD oil their self on any food they want to … so this is kind of silly anyways.

      9. More stupidity! CBD “may” play some role medically , but to just start putting it in everything is not reasonable. Do your research, eat the “whole foods” you were meant to eat, and see the change it will make in your health. Non-GMO and pesticide free foods are also necessary to impact your health. Don’t follow fads. Remember the creator of man knew what was the best diet for his creation. Use your fundamental reasoning skills God gave you.
