They mostly come at night – the attacks from Cuba. Mostly. And many victims never noticed anything odd while others noticed a strange vibration or sound.
It all started in the fall of 2016. Several of the affected diplomats were recent arrivals at the embassy, which reopened in 2015 as part of Barack Obama’s reestablishment of diplomatic relations with Cuba. The Daily Mail reported that one diplomat described being jolted awake in a Havana hotel room by a grinding, blaring cacophony. When he moved a few feet across the room, the noise stopped. When he got back into bed, the agonizing sound hit him again; as if, he told doctors, he had walked through some invisible wall cutting straight down the middle of his room.
Whether they heard anything or not, the consequences have been unmistakable — symptoms ranging from nosebleeds, nausea, dizziness and severe headaches to mild brain damage and permanent hearing or memory loss. Oddly, as soon as some of the victims left Cuba, they stopped hearing noises. – Daily Mail
Or, as some say, maybe it isn’t as odd as we’d expect given the astonishing explanation that has surfaced as to why at least 21 U.S. diplomats, as well as others from Canada, have been brought low while serving in Communist Havana. Although America hasn’t officially pointed any finger at the likely culprit, Washington believes they were victims of a secret sonic weapon blasted their way by the Cuban government.
After months of investigation, U.S. officials concluded that the diplomats had been exposed to an advanced device that operated outside the range of audible sound and had been deployed either inside or outside their residences. It was not immediately clear if the device was a weapon used in a deliberate attack, or had some other purpose.
No one has lost their life because of this “sci-fi sonic weapon,” but the effects have been dramatic. Months later, some of the victims are still struggling to concentrate or even recall common words. This evidence of long-term mental damage has hardened the U.S. attitude against Cuba. Now, the repercussions are being felt in diplomatic shockwaves powering across the Caribbean sea in the direction of the Communist state. It may get real ugly real soon.
This scandal now threatens to derail all efforts made at improving relations with Cuba.

Several other experts are skeptical still as to this type of weapon’s existence. “There isn’t an acoustic phenomenon in the world that would cause those type of symptoms,” Seth Horowitz, a neuroscientist and author of the book “The Universal Sense: How Hearing Shapes the Mind,” told Business Insider via email. It “sounds like a science experiment,” James Carson, former head of the U.S. Interests Section in Havana, told The New York Times.
Toby Heys, the leader of Manchester Metropolitan University’s Future Technology research center is also skeptical. He told New Scientist that it’s possible for something emitting infrasound (vibrations at a frequency below what humans can hear) to cause hearing loss. But Heys said that would require large subwoofers, making covert deployment unlikely. Ultrasound devices, which operate above the range of human hearing, exist and could damage the ears, Heys said. But these sonic weapons would need to be directly targeted into the ear. “Overall, I would be pretty circumspect about the claims, to be honest — it is all very Philip K. Dick territory,” Heys said. “That said, we are living in a fairly surreal world right now.”
In the meantime, president Donald Trump and Secretary of State Rex Tillerson are taking these allegations of acoustic weapons very seriously.

I have recently read that certain TV shows overlay their soundtracks with high frequency digital signals most people don’t hear. These sounds, include digital information picked up by cell phone apps often free from these same companies, that send data back to corporate headquarters.
Recently we had little visitors that wanted to watch Disney kiddie shows. I notices high frequency sounds that were annoying me, I checked around the house and found it coming from the TV. It was the spy craft I’d read about. It sounded a bit like an old fashioned computer modem, but it operated on a much higher frequency that I could barely hear.
None of the other adults could hear it, but all the kids could. They had just learned to ignore it, the we ignore hiss on a radio. Children can often hear much higher frequency sounds than adults. I have a DVR on my TV as well as a mute button. This technology lets advertiser find out if you are fast forwarding past, or muting their commercials. Tying you phone I.D. with actual purchases vs commercials heard, golden.
This tech can be used to activate cell phones and appliances with microphones, as well as eavesdrop. There’s a lot of possible spy craft that can be done. Always beware little brother.
Beware, anything that is free on the Internet, will in all probability have strings attached. Cracks me up that “Candy Crush” and several other popular free games has built in CIA spyware.
I don’t understand why Cuba would desire to do it. Where is the gain? It is they who have been wanting normalized relations with the US because of its massive tourist dollar potential.

I heard of a weapon or read about a weapon I forget which, but anyway it was a British weapon experiment during ww2. Where they used sound, everyone in the lab got killed and their bones were fractured and some organs ruptured from the sound weapon.It had something to do with sound out of the range of human hearing. Much like glass can be broken by sound so too can something much more fragile than it. Internally there are any number of things I can completely see happening if the right frequency and dB range is achieved, such as rupturing ear drums a soft weak thing compared to glass. For example.
Cuba has advanced science and is a world leader in health and medical science. That means they know human biology and how to mess with it. They have state-of-the-art labs and they still do not trust the US, despite what Obama said (remember, the US runs a global torture centre at one part of Cuba: the Cubans know what America really does in the world).
At this point, it is not too far-fetched to believe that the whole world is organized against human beings.
Local militarized police forces right here in the U.S. have been issued a weapon called sonic cannons. God knows what sort of sonic weaponry governments have at their disposal.
Poorly maintained, over-burdened high-power tension lines can sometimes generate waves that are so strong they can be both felt and heard. I remember reading this story a couple weeks ago. The first thing I thought was – this is unlikely to be an attack from cuba, the background dynamics suggest the fouling of US Cuban relations to be of larger importance and likelihood.If the Us intellegence community can’t even get that right then we’re (in the US) in some serious trouble.
Don’t underestimate what sound is capable of. It can likely severely cripple a person or outright kill them. But also pointing the finger at Cuba, especially in a high tech weaponry case like this seems like foolishness.

If the “health problems” have been experienced for many months, somebody should have been able to RECORD the sound using a newly developed device called a MICROPHONE. I accumulated a great number of discarded microwaves. I intended to build a micro wave gun. I researched it on the internet and U tube. It wouldn’t actually do what I wanted so I abandoned the idea. The scrap man or the landfill wouldn’t accept Microwave ovens. so I mashed them flat and put them inside of old vehicles and sold the vehicles to the scrap recycler. And he ran them through his shredder.

The idea of very low frequency sound being injurious or lethal is not new. I learned about that decades ago and recognized the symptoms and what could cause them early on, before the idea of sound being mentioned in the news. The variation in volume can be caused by reflected sound waves being in phase or out of phase with incoming sound waves. I have some personal experience with some effects, since my ears have a lower tolerance to volume than most people and I “think in sound” rather than images (see the term “audile”. The volume of a smoke alarm can scramble my thinking enough to require me to be led out.
