Russia has alerted the United States ambassador that it will retaliate for the missile strike on Sevastopol. Moscow continues to blame the United States for a “barbaric” attack in Crimea that relied on U.S.-provided missiles and killed at least four, including children and wounded 151 others.
While the U.S. didn’t carry out the attack, it was a party to it by providing the weapons used to murder and wound innocents. Russia’s Foreign Ministry summoned U.S. Ambassador Lynne Tracy on Monday and once again, accused the U.S. of waging a “proxy war” and said retaliatory measures would “definitely follow”.
So far, Russia has not retaliated against the U.S. or any other Western allies helping Ukraine. Is this time different? Or do we have yet another empty threat from Russia?
Ukraine And NATO Urge U.S. To Cross Another One Of Russia’s “Red Lines”
“Such actions by Washington … will not be left without response,” Russia’s Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Monday as it summoned the ambassador. “There will definitely be response measures.”
According to a report by Al Jazeera, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov called the attack “absolutely barbaric” and said in a news conference that Moscow would react to the U.S. involvement. “You should ask my colleagues in Europe, and above all in Washington … why their governments are killing Russian children,” he suggested to reporters present.
None of this is surprising. The biggest surprise at this point would be a follow-through with the threat. Although, that would push the world into a global conflict.

We have previously mentioned that the only reason WW3 has not yet erupted is because Russia is refraining from retaliating against the West for its involvement with the Ukraine conflict. If Moscow does decide it’s time to finally make good on its promises, it’s going to get really ugly really quickly.
Russia delivered this warning about a week ago now and still hasn’t followed through. Yet.
Could this be why the U.S. military bases in Europe were put on high alert? Or is this just another “coincidence?”

From what I can see, Russia has not been the aggressor – Ukraine has, the US has, NATO has. Donetsk and Lugansk apparently voted to be annexed into Russia. Russia then went to claim what is rightfully theirs. If Volodomyr Zelenskiy had managed his nation better, Donetsk and Lugansk would not have voted to secede from Ukraine and be joined to Russia.
