Face it, the real problem is that the majority of the people living in this country are fat, ignorant, lazy, and feel entitled to remain that way at the expense of someone else. The majority not having any preps of any kind is but a symptom of the problem.
Why should they work or sacrifice or expend any effort at all? Taking care of themselves isn’t their responsibility, its the governments. Educate your own children? Why that’s the governments job. Take care of your own health? No way. Americans can eat all the processed crap their EBT cards can buy and then medicaid will pay for the pills to alleviate the consequences of their poor decisions. They are entitled to all these benefits, and government retirement checks, and all the mindless entertainment on demand and who are we to say otherwise?
They greatly outnumber us. Not only are they comfortable with our current corporate fascist government, if they think about it at all, their only complaints are all versions of not enough free stuff for them and that somewhere someone has worked harder than them and has been more successful. It’s just not fair that they aren’t filthy rich too and not due to any failings or lack of effort on their part, it’s just bad luck that’s all.
When the shtf they will demand their devoted government masters to step in and take care of them and they won’t give one moments thought about taking it from those who earned it. Keep them fat, entertained, and ignorant and they will go along with any dictator that comes along.

The best solution I have seen is covered in the book “Civil War 2”. The country divides into several separate countries. The blacks in the southeast, the Hispanics in the southwest, the liberals in the northeast and the conservatives in the northwest. It looks like the best solution available, and we all get what we want.
While that seems like a nice idea it will never happen. Those other three areas depend on us and will never let us leave. Trust me my ancestors tried this in 1860 and the tyrant Lincoln declared war. FEDS Retaliate Against The Bundy Ranch And Southern Nevada

So vile Harry Reid and his leftist fascists finally did their Empire Strikes Back gig. There is a very dark place in Hell reserved for this vile, despicable, evil arzehole. And note to Vile Harry: You promised this wasn’t over a year ago? American promises to you, fascist, that this ALSO isn’t over.
Remember the Bundy Ranch ordeal from back in April-2014?
As promised from Harry Reid who warned that this is not over, and that “something will happen”, well it appears that it is happening.
The federal government is mounting retaliations against the Bundy family and the Southern Nevada people with an official notice recently released by the Federal Registry, declaring that nearly 3 million acres of land in southern Nevada will be declared “ACEC” (read below) and placed off limits to nearly all human activity…
On Friday October 10th, 2014 a Notice from the federal registry reveals that the Bundy ranch and most of the rest of Southern Nevada, to become “Areas of Critical Environmental Concern” (ACECs) – decided by non-elected bureaucrats in Washington, D.C., and imposed against the people and the State of Nevada.
90 days from October 10th, 2014 these proposals will become federal law without consent from the Nevada State legislatures or the people of Southern Nevada.
Here’s a refresher as to what went down earlier this year:
A Revolutionary Spark In Nevada
“Areas of Critical Environmental Concern” (ACECs) are human restricted management areas. ACECs have been a tool used by the federal government to gain further control of large masses of western lands and resources.
As proposed, nearly 3 million acres in Southern Nevada will be locked away from the people. This includes most uses on the land (recreational, agricultural or otherwise).
Listed below are just a few of the outlined restriction that come with ACECs:

· Closed to Recreational Vehicles
· Closed to Motorized Travel
· Closed to Livestock Grazing

The Southern Nevada people soon will have less access to their lands than any other people in the history of this country.
There are 33 new Areas of Critical Environmental Concern (ACECs) proposed to cover Southern Nevada totaling 1,739,795 acres. 12 of the 22 existing ACECs are also proposed to be expanded. (See List Below) The Bureau of Land Management (BLM) filed this lists on October 1st.

This is a direct assault on the State of Nevada. It is also a deliberate retaliation against the people for standing against the horrific action of several federal agencies at the Bundy ranch.
The boldness of the federal government’s timing and action on these matters are astonishing. They are again making a clear case that they are willing to use federal power to punish the local people. Harry Reid’s declaration “This is not over” is proving to be uncharacteristically accurate.
Before the Bundy ranch standoff, there were approximately 1 million acres of ACECs in Southern Nevada. Now after the Bundy standoff, the BLM is proposing an additional 1.8 Million acres (a 280% increase) all of which just happens to be in Southern Nevada.
Although this is not proof, anybody with a little intelligence can see that Harry Reid and the BLM are not protecting the environment; they are punishing their enemies.
How is it that all newly proposed critical environmental land in the Untied States just happens to reside within miles of the Bundy ranch? Is the land in Southern Nevada so different/ dangerous/ special/ delicate and important?
From near the beginning of history, tyrannical men have sought to oppress through the control of land and resources,
“Control the land and resources, and you have the power to control the people”.
There is a direct correlation to land and resources with power and wealth. All major powers in world history have gained their power & wealth by conquering the land and controlling the resources.
It is self-evident that certain men within our government understand this and have implemented these age-old tactics upon the people of this country. For decades they have used government to gain power & wealth for themselves by controlling the land and resources.
Our founding fathers understood this nature, they drafted the Constitution to protect us from the despotic men that history is so full of. They limited the powers of government by outlining what lands the federal government can control and by separating the powers they hold. Their intent was to quickly dispose the land and resources to the local people, where it is most safe.
Under federal rule, the people that live on or near the land have no say to what happens in their own backyards. They have no republic form of government. The decisions are all made by appointed representatives from Washington D.C. These representatives have no responsibility to the people and there is no practical legal way to hold them accountable. In direct violation of the U.S. Constitution federal agencies use the lands as their own and suppress the rightful stewards.
At the moment of Statehood land inside the new State is no longer U.S. Territory, and no longer does U.S. Congress or any of the federal agencies have authority to dispose of the land or make any rules or regulations respecting to it. At Statehood it becomes the right and duty of the people of the State to dispose of and regulate all the lands within the boarders of that State. This is called a republic form of government, for the people, by the people.
The incident at the Bundy ranch indicates that people are beginning to question the legitimacy of federally control lands within their State. It also proves that the people have the courage to stand against despotic government actions. The purpose of the federal government is to protect and uphold the rights of the people, not to profit from the spoils in taking their lands and resources away.
The recent action of the BLM in creating new federal code (ACECs) to expand their control and power by restricting the people further from their lands is a continuation of illegally controlling land with-in a State.
Will the County and State representatives take courage and end the unconstitutional federal control of land and resources within the State? The legal and rightful control of the land belongs to the local people. The land within the State must be returned to people in a republic form of government. It is time for the State to dispose of the land to the people, open the land up for useful purposes, and protect the preemptive property rights of the people.

And yes, state’s rights should surely trump federal edict. However, if you believe in constitutional law, you should take a gander at Nevada’s Constitution.
Nevada has ceded all these BLM lands to the federal government and has given them the final say in what is done with them.
Nevada has even gone so far as to state in it’s constitution that Federal law will trump any state’s rights. This was agreed to in order for Nevada to become a state.
You would need to amend the Nevada Constitution to gain control of BLM land. I believe there have been several movements over the years to do that, but none have succeeded.
Most western states have constitutions like this since they were gotten through federal treaties and federal .gov was putting the boot on any new states after the war of aggression to make sure there would be no more secession.
Texas may be the only southwestern state that is different, but I’m not positive on that.
The people of Nevada need to rise up and challenge the feds on that proposed move. The feds won’t have the manpower to enforce it.

Make every minute/hour/day count, for they grow shorter in number with each passing day. Here’s 9 survival uses of wood ash. Chances are there will be lots of it.
9 Survival Uses of Wood Ash (from Survivopedia)
If you’re going to be burning wood, you’re going to have a ton (maybe literally!) of ash by the end of the winter, so what on earth are you going to do with it all? Re-use it, that’s what! There are a ton of uses for wood ash, and we’re going to touch on a few of those today.
Wood ash is extremely alkaline and contains potassium (potash) and calcium, which makes it great for several different purposes around the farm. It also likely contains sulfur, phosphorus, sodium, zinc, manganese, iron, copper, cobalt, magnesium and molybdenum, all of which are great for your plants depending upon your type of soil. That’s just the tip of the iceberg though. Let’s talk ash!
1. Tanning Hides
If you’ve ventured into the land of tanning at all, you probably know that brains are a common method for naturally tanning the hide into water-resistant, durable leather. However, the brains take forever to get the job done if you don’t break down the natural mucopolysaccharides, called ground substance, that protect the hide.
The Native Americans had this method down, and guess what does the trick! Yup, wood ash and water. Just soak it for 2-4 days and you’ll only have to brain-tan it once.
2. Natural Camouflage
This is kind of a no-brainer but there may come a time when you just don’t want to be seen. You may be hunting or you may be waiting for human predators to invade your space. Whatever the reason, wood ash is a quick, natural camouflage.
On a similar note, sunburn can be lethal and if you don’t have any sunscreen, rub wood ash on your skin to block the sun’s rays.
3. Enriching the Soil
Wood ash is great for certain types of soil, specifically soil that is overly acidic. This includes many of the sandier soils in places such as Florida. Almost without fail, alkaline-loving plants such as onions, garlic and leeks will flourish if you add a bit of wood ash to the soil around them.
The exception to this is if the pH of your soil is over 7. In that case, you may not want to use wood ash because it contains potassium and is very alkaline. It’s great to mix in if your soil is acidic but if it’s not, you’ll make matters worse.
If you decide to use wood ash in your soil, don’t apply it straight to your raw compost pile because it’ll react with the nitrogen and turn it straight to ammonia. In other words, you’ll lose that nitrogen that you’re working so hard to get. If you’re going to add ash to your compost in order to decrease the acidity (raise the pH), add it to mature, ready to use compost.
4. Wood Ash Protects Your Garden
Spread wood ash around your gardens to protect it from certain bugs that are harmful to your plants. It serves as a barrier to slugs and snails and some say that it protects against some beetles, too.
5. Use Wood Ash to Do the Dishes
Tossing a bit of wood ash into your dirty skillet will produce enough lye (and friction) to get your camp skillets good and clean. Some people even use it raw as soap.
6. Give Your Chickens a Spa Day
Chickens naturally roll in dirt as a way to cleanse themselves. This protects them from insects and pests such as mites and lice. However, if your chickens can’t roam, finding a nice dusty place to roll may be a challenge for them. Mix wood ash and sand equally and place it in a litter pan or baby pool, or just dump it in a corner of their pen. The wood ash kills mites and lice and the sand keeps the ash from blowing away.
7. De-Skunk Fido
Nothing is more disgusting than the smell of a dog that’s been skunked but if you have some extra wood ash, you’re golden. Just rub the ash into his fur and it will neutralize the odor.
8. Wood Ash Makes a Beautiful Glaze
If you make your own pottery, wood ash placed on the outside makes a beautiful glaze. It’s always a surprise because the resulting color comes from the minerals in the ash. You can get anything from beautiful reds and browns to stunning greens and blues.
9. Make Soap with Wood Ash
Wood Ash mixed with water produces lye, which can then be mixed with animal fat to make soap. You simply have to add boiling soft water to your ash, allow it to sit for a few days, and drain the lye out of the mixture. You know that it’s alkaline enough to go forward with the soap-making process when an egg will float in it.
Once you’ve extracted the lye, it’s just a matter of cooking it down with rendered animal fat. Soft wood ash produces a soft soap and hardwood ash produces a firmer soap. Add salt to make it even firmer.
A cord of wood can produce up to 50 pounds of ash so if you burn wood all winter and spring, you’re going to have plenty of ash at your disposal! There are still several other ways that you can use ash, too.
Here are some more:
•Rub wood ash on pulleys to reduce friction. Just don’t use it on anything aluminum because it will eat through it.
•Use it to clean the soot off the glass on your wood burner door. Just dip your cloth in some ash and rub the soot right off. It’s great for cleaning metal, too.
•A bit of ash rubbed on a fish that you’re trying to skin or clean will help with the slipperiness.
•You can make glue by mixing wood ash and pine tree resin.
•Mixing wood ash with linseed oil will create a great waterproof preservative for wood.

In the video, the tester actually shows via infra-red tester the difference with the screen in and out…huge difference. This is THE simplest, most effective solar heater design I have ever seen and apparently lots of others agree. Building some of these myself as free heat in the winter is a good thing!

I voted today. And it gave me great joy to see Pryor lose. however I have no illusion that the republican victory will actually matter. There isnt any viable political or ballot box solution. A vote for the lesser evil really doesn’t improve anything.
I also voted. I’m i a red area of a red state, so my state and federal candidates didn’t have much opposition, I did get to vote NO on SIX new tax millages that the county welfare establishment tried to slip through on us. I feel good!

I voted yesterday also. Unfortunately, in the national race both of the candidates I voted for, one for Senate and one U.S. Rep. were defeated. On the state level, all of the candidates I voted for were elected except the one for governor. At the local level, the one referendum question was passed by twenty, count’em TWENTY, votes. BTW, this referendum question will allow the city council and the Mayor to actually INCREASE property taxes above the city charter’s cap of 3%. Go figure.
Time to find a different more conservative state/city/town to live in. I’ve been mulling over a move for about six years now, I guess it’s time to put a real plan together and git’er done.

There is another threat that should be taken into consideration: I used to work in government contracting. Everything you’ve heard about shadow armies such as Blackwater (aka Adelphi & Xi) is true. The government contracts these hessians to do their dirty work. Blackwater was roaming the streets of New Orleans armed to the teeth in blacked out SUVs after Katrina. These guys are ruthless. They recruit power hungry pyschos who are former military or police. They tried to recruit my brother who is an Army Ranger and he declined. He watched them operate firsthand overseas and informed me of their threat to humanity. There is a reason Blackwater was banned from Iraq (might’ve been Afghanistan). These guys will surely be hired to “help secure” towns with mass rioting and looting after the collapse. Blackwater is losing quite a bit of money because of the lawsuits and legal troubles they are in. Be very weary if they win a big government contract in the next couple of weeks/months.
I can see societal collapse from my kitchen window. Martial Law looks like societal collapse with a jack boot in place of your reading glasses.
For those of you that are newcomers to the political scene, I suggest that you take a heavy dose of objectivity and watch what happens the next couple of years. You will probably notice that the trends remain the same no matter who is in power. The standard of living for the majority of people will continue downward. The dollar will continue to be printed in excessive amounts. Illegal immigration will continue unabated. The Globalists are still in power. Nothing really changed. Nothing Eric Holder has done will be reversed. Etc., etc.
But it was nice to see the Commie in DC get trounced.

@ Grunty – I talked to a person who told me that she went to a Black Friday years ago. She got her one item.
Then, Stood In Line For 1 1/2 Hours to Pay For It.
She told me never again.
She did tell me that she went in after work, on Black Friday, a few years later, and the herd was gone, and she was able to shop without being mobbed and beaten and waiting in line for almost 2 hours.
