When something is done repeatedly obtaining the same results you have to assume that the result is the desired outcome. Once you assume that as true, you then think about why that outcome is desired. Its illogical to say, “Those people in Washington are stupid” (no they are not). What you see is an agenda that is opposite of what they profess. Here comes the word ostensible. The reality is that Iraq has been destroyed. Its government is now unstable. That government, unlike its predecessor Saddam, won’t dictate what currency it sells its oil in. If it bucks the US its one step from being overthrown and its a small step at that. Libya had the highest standard of living in Africa, its now more like Somalia. Once again the fragmented sad excuse for a government will not dictate policy of what currency they accept for their oil. Since the 1965 change in the immigration law, the US has taken in about 80 million migrants. Mostly non-white, mostly poor and unskilled. We currently take in about 3.5 million migrants per year. I ask you, how much is too much? In 1965 we had a population of about 190 million. Now we are at 320 million. Most of the increase is due to migration and the birth rates of those migrants. At the current rate of migration, I am told by demographers that by 2100 we shall have a population of 1 billion. Poor, unskilled, dumbed down violent masses. Crowded into over packed cities. There is no way we will have 1 Billion people here by 2100. We are on the cusp of either Civil War, Revolution, Financial collaspe or World War 3 if not all of them. So my guess is that by 2100 we will have rebuilt this country and the numbers will be in the 10’s of millions. Probably low like 20-30 million.

in post-WW2, refugees had to be sponsored by a church or civic organization who were responsible for the family learning English, providing housing and getting them working as soon as they arrived, there were no govt freebies. Perhaps, like the Humane Society for animals, we could establish a Human Society, with pictures and descriptions of the needy, a GoFundMe for adoptable refugees if you will.
