WARNING: Widespread Facial Surveillance is an “Imminent Reality”

The dystopian future George Orwell warned us all about in his iconic novel, 1984 has quickly become our reality. Widespread facial surveillance in the “land of the free” is an “imminent reality.”

A tech privacy report, that has been swept under the rug by the mainstream media has declared that Americans are about to live through the very world Orwell wrote of. Georgetown researchers are warning Americans about a sophisticated real-time face surveillance system that’s about to become an “imminent reality” for millions of citizens across the country. Ground zero, though, appears to be Detroit.

The “America Under Watch” report is a warning that authorities in select U.S. cities may soon be able to pick you out from a crowd, identify you, and trace your movements via a secret network of cameras constantly capturing images of your face.  Mass surveillance of every single human being living in the U.S. has become a nightmarish dystopian reality.

DataWorks says it offers software which “provides continuous screening and monitoring of live video streams.” The system is also designed to operate on “not less than 100 concurrent video feeds.”

According to the research team’s report, live footage is captured by cameras installed around Detroit as part of Project Green Light, a public-private initiative to deter crime (and violate the privacy rights of everyone) which launched in 2016. The expanse of the police department’s facial recognition policy last summer, however, means the face recognition technology can now be connected to any live video, including security cameras, drone footage, and body-worn cams.

You’ve been warned.  This technology will not remain limited to Detroit. Illinois, meanwhile, is home to one of the most advanced biometric surveillance systems in the country. The report added that the Chicago Police Department (CPD) and the Chicago Transit Authority have had face surveillance capabilities since “at least 2016.”

Similar facial surveillance is now also, apparently on the horizon for other large cities, including New York City, Orlando, and Washington D.C. Oddly enough, San Francisco,  known for its authoritarian control of the public, became the first US city to ban facial recognition software used by police and other municipal agencies last week.

This report has prompted the authors, Clare Garvie, and Laura M. Moy, to call for a “complete moratorium on police use of face recognition” to give communities a chance to decide whether they always want to be monitored in their streets and neighborhoods.

The American mainstream media is also doing their “due diligence” by hiding this report and it’s obvious why they have done so.  The U.S. could very soon resemble communist China with the citizens having no rights and limited ability to even ask the government for permission, while the government does whatever they want with the power willingly handed to them by the ignorant masses.

      1. Red light spy traffic cameras were an “imminent reality” at one time. They are on about every corner now. The red light spy camera scam has generated alot of revenue for the courts and insurance companies. The insurance companies are totally involved in the citizen spy scam.

      2. Detroit is ground zero for face recognition technology.

It’s predictable. Allow crime to run rampant, then incorporate a privacy extinction system; and do it in a black neighborhood.

Crime will no doubt go down in Detroit.

Then the propaganda arm, TV, radio, news magazines, etc. will squelch public fears as irrational paranoia.

The real target is not the common criminal. The real target is anyone who resists slavery under the Jew World Order (JWO).

        .

      3. I have been censored.

        Can’t use the ‘j” word.

To learn who rules, find out what protected ethnicity is above and beyond scrutiny.

        .

      4. Not if there is no electricity.

Maybe “We the People” will have to be the ones to turn it off. On purpose.

      5. Also, is this what the 5G is really for?

      6. I Totally support this and here is why. Take a look at the population and tell me they are handling the 21st century well.

My family walk the streets, fly, take public transit and I know what trash walks the streets in major cities. Research shows cities attract psychopaths and the most selfish and irresponsible people. I do not want that trash to go about their business untracked. It is a small personal sacrifice but a HUGE safety gain. I’ll take that.

Think about it: you want c#ons and Muslims not to be tracked?? Come on.

If whites and Asians are going to be able to safely use cities and enjoy life, then tracking of the trash populations is necessary.

And there are many positives to this: the homeless can be helped, violent knee grows can be stopped from entering certain parts, Muslim terrorists blocked before they attack.

And, like in China, you will be able to whizz through airports without a ticket, buy groceries without having to checkout etc.

Even better, once we know what you like (hot Asian women, Northern European white chicks) we can use face scanning to guide them to the bar, art galleries etc. So no need to be somewhere surrounded by ugly, obese women.

        • Frank, the good guys are not in charge of that system. They are not looking for criminals. This is for political enemies of the state. We now live in a totalitarian society. You and I have algorithms at the NSA. So does every American. And that’s according to the man that set the system up. The former head of the CIA and the NSA, Gen. Micheal Hayden. I watched him on C-span talk about the program he started. Everything electronic that you do is recorded. Every where your car plates are scanned is recorded. What kind of government does that? A totalitarian government. If the government was concerned about your safety, they wouldn’t flood your country with millions of third world poor people. Every year. For decades.

        • Frank Thoughts will wear his implanted chip proudly.

          • Frank it sounds like your the guy Ben Franklin was talking about when he said if you give up your Liberty for Security you”ll have neither. Trekker Out

          • Hardly. It will be invisible to the naked eye.

        • Frank is a sick Perv..

      7. sounds good but……who is running the show? who is in charge? Pretty soon some other group will be in charge and will use the “system to their benefit,to control of blacks, whites, asians, hispanics, fat people, muslims, christians…get my drift?. Government at some point abuses the system for its use and benefit. We see it all the time at local, state and national locations. Beware what you wish for.

      8. Any system can be used for good. But it can also be abused. I know police on a major crime task force. They use the scan records for license plates to locate murder suspects. But politicians can use the system against political adversaries, and innocent people who disagree with the pols. There is no such thing as total safety and security. If there was, the government wouldn’t be the one handing it out.

      9. They are adding this shit at the High School I started working at.
        Sgt.

      10. You morons that think this is good are delusional! Everything has/will be used against those of us it doesn’t need to be used against, to just continue the slavery shit! It is estimated that there are between 22,000 and 30,000 gun laws on the books in America. Those laws include restrictions on possession, carry, distribution, storage, transfer, manufacture, sale, ownership, importation, use and more. And they want more and not a dam one has stopped a criminal. All this is to control you and I, the good ones…..

      11. I guess I’ll just have to get one of those novelty disguises, you know, the Buddy Holly glasses with the fake nose and mustache…

      12. I understand the complaints here but you are wrong. The government already has enough info on you to violate your civil rights. They know where you live, how much money you have, your internet habits, who is in your family, they have extensive databases of photos, finger prints, DNA, iris scans, etc.

The argument that mass facial surveillance is a step too far is nonsense. A totalitarian government would have a field day even if facial scanning did not exist as a technology.

No, mass facial, gait, DNA resonance scanning is actually a good thing. It ensures proper identification of individuals and ensures that you will not inadvertently come into contact with a dangerous individual. That’s peace of mind.

I accept heaps of technology ensures my flight is safe end to end across the planet; I am more than happy they do the same for when I cross the street.

      13. Frank, You don’t deserve either safety or freedom. And you are no more safe because of cameras. It’s not a system designed to protect you. They don’t care about you. Your replacements are being brought in as we speak. Read some more Orwell.

        • Him, I just hate it when I go back a day later and make a comment like I did above and then read on down and find out someone has already said what I just wrote. Trekker Out
