When Congress authorized the deployment of some 30,000 drones over U.S. skies with the passage of the FAA Air Transportation Modernization and Safety Improvement Act in 2012 many civil liberties groups, privacy advocates and Americans expressed their concerns about the possibility that these surveillance tools could be used within the borders of the United States much like they are on the battlefields of the middle east where scores of innocent civilians are killed almost every day as collateral damage in direct strikes against alleged terrorists.
Those fears are very quickly being realized not as possibilities, but actualities.
In response to questions recently voiced by Senator Rand Paul about drone strikes being used against American citizens on American soil without charge or trial, Attorney General Eric Holder issued a public statement indicating that the government has the right to use armed unmanned aerial vehicles should “extraordinary circumstances” arise.
Holder writes:
On February 20, 2013, you wrote to John Brennan requesting additional information concerning the Administration’s views about whether “the President has the power to authorize lethal force, such as a drone strike, against a U.S. citizen on U.S. soil, without a trial.”
As members of this administration have previously indicated, the US government has not carried out drone strikes in the United States and has no intention of doing so. As a policy matter moreover, we reject the use of military force where well-established law enforcement authorities in this country provide the best means for incapacitating a terrorist threat. We have a long history of using the criminal justice system to incapacitate individuals located in our country who pose a threat to the United States and its interests abroad. Hundreds of individuals have been arrested and convicted of terrorism-related offenses in our federal courts.
The question you have posed is therefore entirely hypothetical, unlikely to occur, and one we hope no president will ever have to confront.
It is possible, I suppose, to imagine an extraordinary circumstance in which it would be necessary and appropriate under the Constitution and applicable laws of the United States for the President to authorize the military to use lethal force within the territory of the United States.
For example, the president could conceivably have no choice but to authorize the military to use such force if necessary to protect the homeland in the circumstances like a catastrophic attack like the ones suffered on December 7, 1941, and September 11, 2001.
The official position of the United States government is that a drone, or any military asset for that matter, can be deployed by the President of the United States or his surrogates without regard to the sixth amendment of the US Constitution, which requires that citizens be afforded the right of facing their accusers, to call witnesses and to be tried by a jury of their peers.
Senator Paul responded to the Attorney General’s comments and warned of the dangers of the new policy:
“The U.S. Attorney General’s refusal to rule out the possibility of drone strikes on American citizens and on American soil is more than frightening – it is an affront the Constitutional due process rights of all Americans.”
Last month President Obama responded to questions about domestic drone strikes:
First of all… there’s never been a drone used on an American citizen, on American soil.
We respect and have a whole bunch of safeguards in terms of how we conduct counter-terrorism operations outside of the United States. The rules outside of the United States are going to be different than the rules inside of the United States.

I am not somebody who believes that the President has the authority to do whatever he wants or whatever she wants, whenever they want, just under the guise of counter-terrorism.
There have to be checks and balances on it.
Based on Eric Holder’s memo, the President, and therefore agencies under his control, do believe that they have the authority to use lethal force against those identified as “terrorists.”
As the Attorney General noted in his letter to Senator Paul, there are hundreds of Americans that have been tried and convicted as terrorists, and thousands more that have been identified as terrorists by government officials.
U.S. attorney Anne Tompkins recently prosecuted Bernard Von Nothaus for minting silver coins he branded as “liberty dollars.” After Vot Nothaus was convicted, Tompkins referred to his actions as a unique form of domestic terrorism.
Local law enforcement officials attending DHS sponsored training events have widely reported that the definitions for “terrorist” activity are becoming very broad, as outlined by one police officer at James Rawles’ Survival Blog:
During the past several years, I have witnessed a dramatic shift in the focus of law enforcement training. Law enforcement courses have moved away from a local community focus to a federally dominated model of complete social control. Most training I have attended over the past two years have been sponsored by Department of Homeland Security (DHS), namely the Transportation Security Administration (TSA) and Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA).

The Attorney General of the United States of America just gave the President the go-ahead on domestic drone strikes.
Under the Patriot Act and the National Defense Authorization Act, no Constitutional protections need be afforded to American citizens, thus, anyone can be classified as a domestic terrorist at the President’s discretion.
If you mint a silver coin, stockpile food, refuse to turn in your high capacity magazine, voice beliefs that may be considered subversive to the government, or have a toy resembling a gun, you maybe labeled a terrorist.
As such, you can also be targeted for extermination.

In the 60’s there was a revolutionary group, I can’t recall if they were leftist or racial that was bombed by the city/state government. A bomb was dropped on their dwelling by helicopter. Todd, the CHL basically helps when buying a weapon (don’t have to wait on background check) and when you cross into states that allow CHLs.
Even if your state is open carry, try to keep it concealed so as not to draw attention to yourself.

Todd many years ago I was in a boating accident, a real one, while crossing the bar on the Yaquina River aka Newport Oregon and my 45 and 12 ga was lost to King Neptune. At the time I had a CCW permit, I’ve kept it current with the idea that I would, without hassles replace the 45, I’m probably too late to do that now unless the current environment returns back to normal or if someone is in dire need of cash and is also offering ammo.

IMO, now that the news is out there that the government is gearing up against US, coupled with the fact that there ARE indeed, chemical weapons capabilities that could come into play, it would be negligent not to prep for such a disaster.
Chemical and radiological preparedness might seem a bit extreme at the moment, but when you realize that the U.S. holds the most extensive stockpiles of both on the planet, and the advantages of killing people without destroying infrastructure, it only makes sense that it would be a possibility.

Surely they have agents reading what people are posting around the internet and how could they not know what is coming; they are causing it after all. This government is doing what governments in their final stages do, and that is increase repression in an effort to remain in control.

I don’t think the federal government is capable of dealing with a nationwide guerrilla fight. This isn’t some Union vs Confederacy where the territories are well defined. Their enemies are mixed in among them, like in Viet Nam. They can’t control people rebelling against their drug laws; they can’t control illegal immigration; they can’t control medicare or welfare fraud; they can’t even collect most of the taxes what would be paid if the law were followed to the letter. So how do they expect to use DHS or what part of the army that is loyal to control disbursed independent cells of rebels? I don’t think drones are going to do much for them.

I researched my options for several months before I committed my funds, with my focus on interoperability and flexibility.
Might be better with a hand held ham, amazon has them starting around 40$ i think the distance will be better and im pretty sure you can rig up a wire antenna that will give you incredible range. Those VHF and UHF radios are ok, but not real reliable, only work line of sight, a ham can get rigged to skip the signal off the ionosphere? If im not mistaken, get the technician exam booklet too and you can get the full scoop, test is easy to memorize, unless you want to outlaw using it, but id suggest license first then get creative once you have it wired and make contacts.

Texas and wisconsin seem to be the 2 best left. florida, ohio and virginia all just gave into obamacare; but every state has problems imo. there’s people in charge acting as they see fit all over. either the US is going to push back when things really get economically unbearable or it goes off into the great socialist countries ala the rest of europe never to return.

Don’t write us off in Wisconsin quite yet 🙂 . Once you get outside the gravitational fields of the liberal motherships of Dane and Milwaukee counties (and the non-stop Star Wars bar scenes there) we’re not bad folks. Walker received more votes in that ridiculous recall, than in his election.
Yeah, I don’t know what happened with Texas. Not what I expected, at all. Lady of the Lake is actually pretty accurate. Most of Indiana and western Ohio are relatively normal and the climate is so much better than the Dakotas, which has extremes of both summer and winter. Just stay away from the Illinois border because it may suck you in. I kind of like Oklahoma, after the drought cycle runs its course. Back to the Mid-west, taxes are lower in Indiana than they are in Ohio and Indiana politicians don’t seem quite as insane. (I live in Ohio, so I have a good idea what I’m talking about.) Good luck wherever you go!
Indiana’s not bad so far. There are a few blue counties, but overall the state is holding relatively strong for the Constitution and for individual rights. It’s also got a fair amount of freshwater access, which will probably become important when the SHTF. And the cost of living is lower in most parts of the state.
Does that mean there are zero red counties and the rest are INDEPENDENT!!
I wish, SD. But we’ve had libertarian candidates make some relatively strong showings, and there are some good bartering clubs springing up (there’s an excellent one in SW Michigan, not far across the border from me), plenty of local farmers to buy from, a strong Constitutionalist base, raw milk to be had, good fertile land, and we make a good showing on the SPLC conservative terrorist groups list, haha. If we could give Lake County to Illinois life would be better, but overall this state has surprised me in some positive ways.

THE COMING FIGHT
My Fellow Americans, Patriots and Fighters,
After reading the article on your site, “Will You Fight”?, and the myriad of responses, I thought it may be worthwhile to point out a few considerations on what will become the most important question,… and action Americans will be taking in the near future, which is:
“Will you fight?”
Let me first state, it seems to be a mathematical certainty at this point, that a civil war, or revolutionary war is a foregone conclusion. Not because decent Americans insist on one, but because our wholly criminal, and no longer legimate gov’t is bent on making one occur.
When this subject is discussed, the typical response has been anything from “Jesus will save”, to “I will die fighting if necessary”.
Herein lies one of those commonly stated perspectives that I would like to try and get Patriots, Americans and other would be fighters to consider.
Instead of saying, “When they come for my guns, I will die fighting….”
Let us start saying: When they come for my guns,.. they are going to get killed.”
This little shift in perspective is more than symantics, its sets a whole new physchological paradigm that will grow and expand in our thoughts and actions with time, and one that will help foster a sense of need and morality of our actions when that time comes.
As for actual fighting, allow me to put forth a few thoughts for consideration:
When the first physical confrontation happens,… it will only be the begining.
Even if we took the country back today, without a single shot, the fact is, the laws of economics will assert themselves, and their will be hard times ahead. It tooks decades to destroy our economic base,.. and you can be sure it will take a decade or more to restore it,.. and that would be in a “perfect world”
Problem: We will not take this country back in a single day, and this is not a perfect world.
Our necessity, as Patriots and Americans,.. is to stay alive and maintain a posture of Mission-Capable.
This means NOT getting ourselves killed, injured or wounded to the best of our abilities.
As Patton said, you don’t win by dying,…you win by killing. Mission Effectivness criteria dictate that you need to be alive and fully capable in order to be fully mission capable at any time.
This means you need to keep a low profile, retain your stocks & stores, do not do anything to draw attention to yourself, and quietly, seek out others who are of the same mindset.
We know what is coming,.. it is our job to hold fast, and let them make the first overt moves. Give them every chance to expose their weaknesses, allow them to feel overconfident, let them think they may win this easily,….
Of course I have not yet addressed the whole point of,.. “what if they come to YOUR house and demand your guns?”
Well,.. this depends on what preparations you have made.
Did you hide them before hand,… are they right there in your safe room or bedroom? Is this happening across the country or your state? Has civility alreadyt broken down. Do you have children who depend on you?, what about a wife? Do you have the advantage at that moment?
In short,.. there is no right answer for any given individual.
As I have discussed before here, and on Henry’s show, you need to decide your “threshold moment” NOW,.. before that trigger event (or a similiar one) has materialized.
This “Threshold Event”, MUST be carefully considered, as you are going to make it your “automatic response” event, which will also be your “all-in” event, so let me annotate just a few considerations:
1) The moment you decide to fight back, you now have a completely different attitude towards life, this government, and the role it now serves (you now understand this gov’t is completely criminal and will not put up with it anymore).
2) The moment you decide to point a firearm,… or ANY weapon at ANY representative of this gov’t, you have gone, “all-in”… & they now view YOU as the criminal! (How dare you to even THINK of fighting back!)
3) Now that you have openly displayed a notion of self defense, and an unwillingness to accept any further destitutions or abuses, you have placed these gov’t thugs in response mode.
4) This criminal gov’t will see it as its MANDATE to eliminate any persons or signs of resistance.
5) Once you have crossed that Threshold-Moment, and point any weapon at any gov’t agent, they will see it as there job to exterminate you (in the most brutal fashion possible), or to arrest you and make a circus out of it. Either act, will be done with the intention to intimidate all others.
6) They will try to kill you, or try to imprision you for life while taking full advantage of its propaganda value, in addition, they may destroy your home, blowing it up, or burning it, or may simply “sieze” it, as that is one of their ultimate objectives anyway.
That is a just a few considerations.
The reality is, once this starts, it will be protracted process, it may drag on for months, even years, so do not be anxious to join the fray to quickly, there will be time for that. Apply critical thinking skills to analyze the situation as best as conditions permit,.. always.
Am I saying to NOT fight?
No,.. absolutely not,… just that it should not a knee-jerk type reaction.
There will be long term consequences to any set events however they unfold, and our goal is to maintain a mission ready capability as long as possible, to retain our home and productive means as best as possible, and to understand this will be a protracted process.
In the end, it may come to down to an instant sh*t fight, with little to no time to think anything over, hence why it is best to know your line of demarcation now, and what is your potential “all-in” scenarios, as we may all be facing that very soon indeed.
Get ready, talk this over with your loved ones, friends, and neighbors you can trust. We will all be needing each other more than ever very soon.

I was studying some photos of the MRAPS at infowars.com, looking for vulnerabilities. Can anybody with heavy machinery/mechanics skills chime in here please?
I saw what looked to me, like a forward drive shaft in one pic. Are these vehicles ALL wheel drive or 4-wheel drive? The difference being that you can disengage a malfunctioning 4wd unit, but an AWD depends on both?
Also, the third member(s) appear to be unshielded or unprotected with armor.
Does anyone know if the fuel line can be accessed externally? Is it possible to get schematics on this type of vehicle?
The wheels themselves look uninterruptible and the armor impenetrable by relevant means. I’m just looking…and curious.
I am thinking at a minimum put a few 30-06 or 300 win mag rounds thru the diffs. Also some form of paintball splatter in large doses to the small windows. Possibly some form of apparatus to shoot something like that spray foam insulation. Can you imagine the wipers trying to get that off the windshield? Also simply trying to burn the thing would be nice. Then tagging the occupants on exit (has only one opening and one person at a time). I like the idea of a rubber tired loader flipping it. I have thousands of hours seat time in heavy equipment. How about getting the massive tires burning? How about ramming another semi into it. Many possiblities. We just have to get creative.

My teenage son and I (he’s in 9th grade) were discussing a lot of the topics that have come up in this thread yesterday afternoon. He has hopes that it can still be averted…I have none); the Constitution (he still thinks it is a protection, I have no such illusions); and politicians (we both agree they are the scum of the earth).
I have just finished reading a series of books by Angela White…the “Life After War” series. When things get bad…they will get really bad really fast. Anyone unprepared is going to be obliterated. I don’t mean just being prepared by having enough food and TP or whatever, I mean being prepared mentally. There is going to be a small window of opportunity after an event to bring your family through safely, after that things get very dicey. Keep your eyes and ears open, stay alert, and don’t be caught unaware.

Be advised; the READ is long…over 77 pages, but it gives the deepest – and IMHO – the clearest picture of the nature of any failure which would occur therein. Rather a “frightening” piece altogether…

@ Everybody worried about the Cascadia fault. There is a real swarm going on in the Prince Edward Islands region. This is south of Africa and on the African plate boundary with the Antarctica plate. When this region in the past has been hit 8 out of 9 times there has been a large earthquake or several earthquakes. This is directed at new spots, the PACIFIC NORTHWEST FOR ONE.
On Feb. 26, 2001 this area of Prince Edward Islands got hit and 2 days later the Seattle region was hit with a 6.8. Also on the target list has been the Vancouver Island region, southern Alaska, and the Aluetian Islands. Hawaii had a 6.5 back in June of 1989 after this. Other areas include New Guinea, Indonesia, south of Israel and Japan. The real concern though is that this seems to be aiming at the Pacific Northwest.
I would say that there is a likelihood, 50-60% that the Pacific coastline is going to have an earthquake of 6.5 by March 21. The other areas included with the past earthquake like in the South Sandwich Islands that by that March 21st. day that there will be a 6.5+ at 80-85% sure. This figure will probably go up as more earthquakes present themselves.

I was afraid that would be your ‘read’ on those. I went back through some of the postings fom the last episode (a few months back). I also noted that – as yet – there has been little activity along the segment of the predominant faultline extending from north of QC/Haida Gwaii to the region off the coast from Yakutat. In the early 1900’s there were some strong disturbances through that region…and very little else for a very long time since then…any thoughts thereon would be appreciated Friend, when and if, you have the time. 🙂
While I’m here a solar note; NOAA 11678 is on appraoch to return in approx. 72 hours along the North-Eastern limb. SolarHam is reporting some very large prominences as being visible above this region in the STEREO B imaging. It also appears that this region was responsible for an impressive fulll halo discharge yesterday (early AM) Otherwise, most all else is quiet …too much so in fact.

The government will utilize any and all methods to kill its enemies wheather it has the “right” to do so or not.

Present legislators are calling the US population a thread and they are right: A thread to their position which they abused at the expense of its population, so in the eyes of government, to call opposing entities terrorists and taking measures to destroy them, has nothing to do with the safety of the country, but more so with protecting the people in power.
Work this one out…. You might have a debt to the banks, the banks are virtually owned by the government, who bailed them out, with your money by the way, so now you owe the banks and your great grandchildren will still be paying the deficit government is leaving you with. Isn’t that enslaving the population. The drones and all other machineries or tactics the government is threatening you with, is only a way to let you know that they are letting you know that they realize that if they are staging an outright war against the US People, they will lose big time, for the following reasons:
There are too much guns amongst the people
There is too much intelligence there too
The US military will NOT shoot at their own families
They will make themselves an outcast in the world of politics.

The USA today, in many ways resembles pre-war Nazi Germany, where its leaders instilled fear to its population, issuing decrees that effectively enslaved their population and started a psychological indoctrination in order to NOT being defeated from within.
