On Thursday, Asteroid 2012 TC4 will come close to earth, at 1/8 the distance of the moon. Although it’s close, scientists assure us that it won’t actually strike the Earth, but some theorists disagree.
Recently updated numbers show that the asteroid will come closer than previously thought. It will pass between the Moon and the Earth at a distance of just 4,200 miles from our planet. Asteroids are small, rocky objects that orbit the Sun. The first known asteroid was Ceres, discovered by Giuseppe Piazzi in 1801. There are currently over 600,000 known asteroids in our solar system. Most asteroids are found orbiting in the Asteroid Belt, a series of rings located between the orbits of Mars and Jupiter. And some Christian conspiracy theorists now believe that the asteroid’s arrival will mark the beginning of the end of the world.
A blog ran by poet Mel Brake says the passing of the asteroid will be a sign in the sky that Mother Mary is to return and the end of the world will begin. The website says that October will mark the 100 year anniversary of “Our Lady of Fatima,” signaling the apocalypse. “Our Lady Of Fatima” was a phenomenon in 1917, which began May and culminated in October with the “dancing of the sun.” It is said that three young Portuguese shepherds were visited by Mother May who provided them with visions of the apocalypse and on October 13, 1917, Our Lady of Fatima fulfilled her promise to the three children that she would give a sign for all the world to see. On that rainy day, the 50,000 – 70,00 people witnessed for about 10 -15 minutes what is called “The Dance of the Sun”. After “dancing” in the sky for many moments, the sun seemingly left its orbit and hurtled toward earth before returning to the heavens. And now a century later, some believe this asteroid is a sign in the sky that will spark the apocalypse.
Brake’s blog points to Revelation 12:1 says that a “sign” will appear in the heavens before a woman comes and provides great anguish to those on Earth – the woman being Mother Mary in this instance.
The Bible passage 12:1-2 reads: “And a great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and on her head a crown of 12 stars. She was pregnant and was crying out in birth pains and the agony of giving birth.”
And Brake’s blog post read: “The message is clear have we a choice between light or dark and since 100 years of Mother Mary’s appearance to the three little children of Fatima. –Express UK
Brake doesn’t indicate that the asteroid will actually impact the Earth, but hints that its arrival is the event that will signal in the apocalypse. NASA also says that there is no danger of the world ending and will use the flyby – less than 5,400 miles between London and Los Angeles – to gather valuable data on the asteroid which was discovered in 2012.
Michael Kelley, a program scientists and NASA headquarters lead for the 2012 TC4 observation campaign, said, “Scientists have always appreciated knowing when an asteroid will make a close approach to and safely pass the Earth. This is because they can make preparations to collect data to characterize and learn as much as possible about it. [And] this time we are adding in another layer of effort, using this asteroid flyby to test the worldwide asteroid detection and tracking network, assessing our capability to work together in response to finding a potential real asteroid threat.”
This new revelation from Brake comes just after David Meade, a mathematician, revealed to that Planet X, also known as Niburu, will crash into our planet and spark the end of the world on September 23.

Maybe they should just ban asteroids. Or restrict their length, capacity, and attachments. No asteroids with shrouds or vertical grips, or those dreaded lugs. And limit Earth to only one asteroid per month.
I think I read about these predictions when I was young. There was a scientist that frequently claimed space objects were threatening earth.

As fascinating as it all is, if any of it were true we’re all powerless to stop, or even delay it. There is so much “fear porn” out on the internet today that we’re being bombarded with negativity hourly. It’s best to prepare, but don’t get caught up in the conspiracies, the fear porn, or even politics. Just prepare. I’ve been a Prepper since before the title even existed. I’ve done websites, podcast, radio, etc. talking about all this stuff. I’ve seen this stuff drive men crazy. When it comes it comes. Don’t borrow tomorrow’s troubles today.

600,000 “known” asteroids? Geez, that’s a lot of fake news stories about TEOTWAKI. And that figure doesn’t even include all the asteroids that are “unknown.”
Maybe this is what is going to happen to us and why the Gov’t has the mega cities underneath the surface – such as under DIA for example and God knows where else. Nothing really surprises me anymore.
This asteroid is nothing but a large rock. Its only 40 ft in diameter. Hardly enough kinetic energy to cause anywhere near an apocalyptic event. If it hit a major city like New York (the odds being extremely small), then yes…10-30k people would perish.

First it was Y2K, then 2012, etc.etc.
but, since THIS one is coming closer than they ORIGINALLY calculated, will they reveal how the future projected orbit will be? Will it hit us next time around? When is that?
Also, as they said before with other ones, the gravity effect of coming so close changes the orbit from what it was, so even projecting the next orbit may be way off.

Stop putting down Y2K, it’s what got me into prepping. Yes, Y2K wasn’t a disaster, but less than a year later a small disaster made us glad we had supplies.
With each disaster that has struck since Y2K, my family has used, replaced and upgraded our preps. It has become a lifestyle that saves us time and money, and it keeps us ready for the unexpected.
I haven’t any regrets about my preps.
It is very possible that it could hit the moon. That would be something to see! Really screw with the tides, and werewolves!
EVERYONE SAW THE MILITARY TESTING THEIR ROCKETS a while back,DID it ever occur to anyone they might be testing them for a reason??..well they have a GOOD reason ,THEY KNOW A BIG ASTEROID IS COMING,12 miles long in fact,AT 42,000 miles per hour..ALL the countries will launch missiles at it,BUT it won’t be destroyed like they hope,it will be in 16 pieces when they hit,AND a lot of them will be over a mile in size,BUT,then theres the big one,over 5 miles in size they won’t get..ALL you on the east coast might want to get away from the coast,THE TIDAL WAVE will be a thousand feet high..

So if its coming in at an altitude of 4200 miles, its going to go through all of the satellites in orbit on the way in and out! I believe there are around 1100 satellites in orbit today so I’m sure there wont be any issues…at all!!

Excellent point, geosynchronous orbit is around 22,000 miles, low earth orbit 400 to a 1000 miles. In that 4,000 up to geosynchronous there are a lot of bowling pins…. I mean satellites.
The worlds satellites are reaching a saturation point where an impact on one or two could create a cascade failure as debris flys out hitting more satellites that created more debris. It would render space useless until it could be cleaned up.
I see this as the most realistic threat. Amazing how few lost lives in the recent hurricanes, because we could track the storms. Without satellites, your GPS doesn’t work, weather reports aren’t as good, communications, television, radio, etc will be impacted.
First they said it would miss us by 27,000 miles. Now it’s 4,200 miles. Given their calculating accuracy, maybe it will hit us. “Oops, we miscalculated; well its not an exact science.”
A house sized asteroid won’t end civilization, but it will create a big explosion if it hits.
