President Obama, in a speech in Portland, mocks opponents of the health care bill:
Over the last year, there’s been a lot of misinformation spread about health reform. There’s been a lot of fear mongering, a lot of over heated rhetoric. You turn on the news, you’d see that those same folks who were hollering about it before it passed, they’re still hollering, about how the world will end because we passed this bill. This is not an exaggeration.
John Baynard called the passage of this bill Armageddon. You had others who said this is the end of freedom as we know it.
So, after I signed the bill, I looked around.

I looked up at the sky to see if asteroids are coming. I looked at the ground to see if cracks had opened up in the earth. It turned out it was a pretty nice day. Birds were still chirping. Folks were strolling down the street. Nobody had lost their doctor. Nobody had pulled the plug on granny. Nobody was being dragged away to be forced into some government run health care plan.
The joke is on the American people. There they are, folks, laughing right along with President Obama, not realizing that he is actually telling them exactly what his bill did to them and will do to them in the future. They will not believe until the socialist boot crushes their throats.
The world as we knew it in America did end when socialized health care was passed. It is most certainly an end to the freedom we have come to know. It is, essentially, the first real step in allowing the government to take from those who have and redistribute to those who the government deems needy. There is nothing free about it, at least not to those having to give up their hard earned income to pay for those who can’t do for themselves.
One day, maybe not today or tomorrow, or next year, but when the new health care system is on the verge of insolvency, you can be assured that they will pull the plug on granny, and anyone else who is deemed too-small-to-save.
And, as soon as the health care policy goes active, people will be dragged, by forced mandate through the IRS first, and the criminal justice system if that doesn’t work, into a government run health care plan.
Socialized health care is a stepping stone to even more central planning. We are already “on the brink” as our former Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson said, and our economy may very well fall apart even without the added pressures of universal health care. Passage of this massive tax on the American people will most definitely not help the situation. If we do experience a massive economic collapse, one could argue that it could quickly turn into Armageddon in America.
Call it misinformation. Call us fear mongers. But it’s all in the bill – you know, the one President Obama didn’t read and the one Congress didn’t write.

Not only do the employees of the US Federal Government have their own premium quality health care insurance while the rest of us get Obamacare; they have their own private retirement program also. Notice that they haven’t ‘borrowed’ the so-called surplus from their own retirement plan like they have from the Social Security Trust Fund either. I wonder why???
Aren’t these people our employees who are paid with our tax dollars? Why are we so kind to our employees while we treat ourselves like crap? Does your boss treat you better than he treats himself and his family? (That’s assuming that you still have a job!)
If Obamacare and Social Security is good enough for us, then it should be good enough for our employees!!!! However, this isn’t going to happen anytime soon. POC:   There is nothing “socialist” about National Socialism. Its State welfare for corporations, in which the means of production (industry and banks) are owned by the political and financial elite of the society at the expense of the people; as opposed to Communist economic theory which is State ownership of the means of production on behalf of the people, and distribution is not made based upon individual  contribution, but rather:  “from each according to their ability, to each according to their need” i.e. redistribution of wealth. In either system the average person gets little or nothing for their labor and creativity, while promotion and priviledge is reserved for loyal party members. Hope that clarifies “left” and “right’ for you.

These people cheering him on have no clue what is going on. The bill doesn’t take full effect until 2014. They KNOW the average mental capacity of the public is VERY short. By end of this year or next year when they begin World War 3, everybody would have forgotten about the healthcare bill. Even if WW 3 doesn’t kick off, nobody will remember anything about the healthcare bill in 2014. But when it kicks in, people will realize it is too late, they had their chance to fight it and chose instead to cheer it.
Every bad event is going to accumulate bit by bit, until the breaking point. We’ve got hyperinflation coming, collapse of nations around the world, increased volcanoes and earthquakes activity, Iran and Israel, Bees are still dying off, continued Job losses, the coming Commercial real estate collapse, silver and gold manipulation etc.
Armageddon is coming but the timetable is set for the elites.

Â We have massively serious problems, but health care is not one of the most serious.

Â We have to hope for the best and plan for the worst. Truthfully, we taxpayers were already paying for those that didn’t have health insurance prior to the passage of the health care reform bill. Those without get their care from the emergency room.  The cost has traditionally been passed on to other consumers through higher health care costs (have you noticed how much a band-aid costs on a hospital bill?) and taxes. Â
It is shameful that a country as rich as the US would allow its citizens to die simply because they can’t afford health care. This bill is long overdue and will hopefully lead us down a road to a future in which individuals are not marginalized and left to die because they were laid off from their job, they choose a career that didn’t afford them group health insurance or for whatever circumstances lead them to that outcome.
And, really? the criminal justice system? no where in the law is it stated that individuals will be arrested for not having medical insurance.Â
Besides, we have been required to have auto insurance as long as I can remember and that works pretty well for the average citizen.
Susie, you are typical of a person NOT thinking with their own mind. In your first paragraph you admit we were already paying for those who don’t have health insurance. The hospitals were compensated, last year it was a 14 billion taxpayer dollar fund and their higher prices.
A lot cheaper than what is coming and probably many times better. There was no reason to add the coming tremondous burden unless you are out to topple the whole system.
When the system topples, we can all be assured the darkest, bluest portions of America will reap the worse outcomes!
