It’s time for another episode of Doomsday Bunkers of the Rich and Famous. You can find the last article about a doomsday neighborhood in Germany right here.

This time, we’ll travel a bit closer to home – right in the middle of…Kansas. In the small town of Glasco, Kansas, population 473, lies the ultimate in luxury bunker destinations: Survival Condos.

So, if you’re curious about how the other half intends to ride out the apocalypse, let me tell you: they’ll be living it in high style. But there’s always something to learn when you look at the preparedness plans of others. Let’s explore the Survival Condos of Kansas.

What are the survival condos like?

Survival Condos are fortified and equipped to withstand all your basic apocalypses, such as nuclear bombs, earthquakes, tornadoes, enemy invasions, and pandemics. The condo community lies 200 feet underground in an old Atlas missile silo, which was clearly hardened to withstand all types of catastrophes.

Each condo has every possible amenity, including high ceilings, windows looking out at imaginary views, and high ceilings.

    Here’s the price rundown:

    Penthouse Condo:

      1. No ideas here. Only an idiot would go underground. You can filter all of the air you want but if your air supply is cut off, you are going to open the doors. You can stock everything but air. You can even bottle it ( compressed )but if somebody or some group is willing to wait you out, you are going to open the doors.

        • Fire in the hole…

        • Nice bunker. Too bad its in Kansas. There is nowhere to run. There is nowhere to hide. There is no “safe place”, but some places may be “safer” than others.

The political environment where your BOL is situated is of paramount importance as those locations where Patriots who believe in the US Constitution control the State and local government will be critical to your survival. If you think your rights are under assault now, it will be ten times worse in REAL SHTF as the Left will use the Changes to make the changes they want: if they can.

States are still somewhat sovereign. Someone will be making decisions in your area. Get involved with a Tea Party Group where you live and form your cells. Politically speaking, locations in Arizona and Utah will have advantages not available elsewhere.

That said, be there to get there. 🙂

          • What wrong with Kansas? It’s a good spot in terms of social and political conservativism. And it’s away from major urban trouble spots.

            • Nothing if you like wheat and don’t have a gluten problem. There are just BETTER places than Kansas.

If anyone believes that locations like Kansas or (liberal) Tucson Arizona will not be targeted in an all out nuclear exchange just because those silos have been “decommissioned”, are only fooling themselves.

There are way too many missiles and too few targets. It would only take 150 Russian MIRV missiles out of more than 1,000+ to turn the entire US and every population center into rubble.

Survivors of such an exchange will need about 60-90 days for all neutron radiation to cleanly dissipate and they will need to secure adequate food, water, and fuel locally to supplement their supplies in the aftermath.

I have been through Kansas a few times. I don’t see Kansas sustaining survivors of REAL SHTF for very long at all. 🙁

          • DK

Its likely that the Federal Government post nuclear exchange would be effectively non existent. Government would likely go local. Its highly likely that the USA as a nation would cease to exist and states, maybe groups of states would band together creating in essence new nations based on location and mutual needs.

            • I would rather die than survive in Kansas lol.

              • Its this kind of insight that makes you a Genius !!! 🙂

            • “Its likely that the Federal Government post nuclear exchange would be effectively non existent. ”

Initially for sure, but plans are in place for the continuity of the Federal Government. Like the aftermath of major hurricanes and/or earthquakes, the local population will be on their own and for an extended period of time: which is why PATRIOTS need to become active at the local level to shepard the New America with the Old American Constitution.

Don’t think that a New Constitution hasn’t already been written by the LEFT and is waiting in the wings to be sprung on the American people at the “right” moment. This is why a Constitutional Convention is a very bad idea.

              VERY BAD IDEA !!! 🙂

      2. I agree with fishandmud, cut the air and the head falls off.

        • What wrong with Kansas? It’s a good spot in terms of social and political conservativism. And it’s away from major urban trouble spots.

          • The buffalo are gone. If the Indians couldn’t survive in Kansas without them, you can’t either. 🙂

            • Only a flatlander sodbuster would ask that lol.

      3. I would not want to exist in one of these bunkers, even if I could afford one. But hey–high marks for the tornado safety design!

      4. Fortresses invite attack. Mobility is the key to tactical success. Having several well hidden food and ammo caches is a superior plan. Don’t put all your eggs in one basket. By the way, have any of you seen a woman named Sara Connor…

      5. Why do people want to escape into an environment like a Disney world vacation. Anyone who thinks they can buy safety this way is delusional. Your not gonna be lounging in the pool with full stocked bars. Who is gonna supply this luxury bunker with general store products and diesel for the genny. Are they expecting trucks to bring this stuff in from businesses that are rubble. First thing to go is fuel tanker ships to the bottom of the seas. This is so bullshit and fools buy these units. Look at Cold War fallout shelters that is at least realistic. being comfortable is un motivating the last thing you need in a survival situation. I will be sleeping on the floor with one eye open. People need to harden the fuck up quit being bitches. Americunts.

        • They will have their luxury shit for a couple of months then cabin fever will set in. They will start to fight and form groups then any trust will be out the window and it will be dog eat dog and their pusscake minds will go insane and it will be like absolute hell! If they go outside they will realize they are in Kansas and it totally sucks and they will commit suicide. Thats my take on it 😛

        • I guess it makes sense in a scenario where the government takes control again within a week or two, but that would depend on the sort of SHTF event, and this is something you have no control over.

      6. These people will die in short order. No one is going to take care of them long before turning on them and moving in themselves.

      7. For $500,000 they can stay in my basement and save all kinds of money! I will even share my preps with them. Nice to know that all these rich folks who probably caused the disaster, will live through it in style!

        • Ya for 500K I can decorate a mineshaft and supply food and water no problemo. I will even furnish it.

      8. This is a joke right?
        You think the security will
        stick around for your 5
        years underground?
        They look like a joke.
Plus you have to get there to
        use the facilities, which
        look like a joke.
If I was going to spend that sort of money,
it would not be in Kansas.

      9. The library looked nice, but it was very small. I’m not sure all my books and other materials would fit on those shelves.

        • Heh, that was my first thought about the library. But, hey, they said they had thousands of movies. (what a bore)

          • You don’t need a big library for a bunch of idiots…

      10. The .01% have a lot of money and the .001% have so much that they’re running out of things to spend it on. If things got so bad that you needed to be in such a place why wouldn’t the servants turn on their masers? With a destroyed nation there would be no rule of law. Their assets would be destroyed or confiscated. Stocks? In a company that is now a hole in the ground where a facility at one time existed? Deeds to property and no courts nor police to establish ownership? Think Cuba 1961 or so. “I have cash backed by the good faith and credit of the USA”. “News flash, there is no longer a USA”. “I have gold”. “You better have it hid well because you can bet that its stolen and if its here the staff will take it”.

All of this working is predicated upon the rule of law.

      11. These Atlas F Missile Silos that are being converted into luxury bunkers are a waste of money. They were built back in the late 1950s. They were obsolete by the early 1960s as nuclear technology grew by leaps and bounds (galloped actually).

These Atlas F Missile Silos are only able to withstand a 20-kiloton nuclear strike. That figure has probably gone down considerably as these silos are now almost 60-years-old.

Today, the industry standard nuclear warhead is 40 Megatons. That’s on both sides. Look at it this way: 1,000 kilotons equals 1 megaton.

The nuclear bombs dropped on Nagasaki and Hiroshima were 15- and 20-kilotons respectively. So, you kind of get the picture.

40-megatons is a really, really, really big crater.

        • Without a missile in it they’re no longer a target for a nuclear weapon. They, the inhabitants are a target for the surviving population including the staff.

          • If I were the Russians, and I knew these silos were being used as bunkers, I would make it a point to target a warhead specifically to these locations. Just on the principle alone.

After all, the people that created the need to start a nuclear war are the ones who will try to survive a nuclear war by disappearing into one of the these bunkers.

You don’t think the Deep State knows what rat hole Putin is going to try (emphasis on “try”) disappearing down into?

Besides, “Mutually Assured Destruction” (MAD) should mean just that.

You ever seen the size of a hole a hydrogen bomb makes in the ocean floor at places like Bikini Atoll?

            • The level of people orchestrating WWIII are not in these “slum housing” bunkers. These occupants have $200 million, they’re paupers. Rothschilds, Warburg, Rockefeller and the new guy who I think is the sacrificial point man Soros would be in far better, secure, isolated and private accommodations.

        • Blame,
Our run of the mill W88 warhead is up to 450 kilotons. a D5 missle can carry up to 12 of them but I think they cut back on that due to START treaty.
You forget about something called the inverse square law. Lots of smaller bombs cause far more damage than one really big one.
IIRC most our bombs like the W80 are 150 Kiloton although, I think they can be adjusted to lesser yields.
This should scare everyone but variable yield bombs are more tempting to use tactically.

          • Still, one of these bombs will vaporize these silo bunkers.

Both sides programed first strikes to take out these silos as most contained not one but many missiles. The old Atlas F Missile silos contained not one, but three missiles. One in the silo and two in Quonset Huts.

The philosophy back then was that a first strike would give the Russians time to think; about what I am not sure. Maybe it was about the second and third strike capabilities. After the Atlas F Missile silos were retired (became obsolete), the government built silos for first, second, and third strike missiles.

Even today, I would imagine that somebody hasn’t updated the targeting systems of these nukes. Maybe (maybe), the Russians have taken off the cities that the U.S. government has already destroyed — like Detroit, Flint, Chicago, Cleveland, Indianapolis, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Buffalo, Rochester, Syracuse, etc.

See? Plenty of missiles for bunker busters.

      12. That’s where I’ll be when Affirmative Action is voted out.

        _

        • I agree. When EBT payments end that place will be perfect. If I had the money I would buy one now. As a way to get away from idiots.

        • These converted silos are indeed a very attractive option, if you don’t mind turning into a Morlock. Still, just 40-feet below ground and the temperature is a constant 54-degrees. Of course, you better be prepared to have taken some serious mining equipment with you — just to dig yourself out after the nukes stop falling and the “All Clear” is sounded.

      13. …and every tradie and his mates down the pub know all about that place.

Probably have full plans and specs all set for a SHTF day visit.

      14. “Come now, you rich, weep and howl for your miseries that are coming upon you! 2 Your riches are corrupted, and your garments are moth-eaten. 3 Your gold and silver are corroded, and their corrosion will be a witness against you and will eat your flesh like fire. You have heaped up treasure in the last days. 4 Indeed the wages of the laborers who mowed your fields, which you kept back by fraud, cry out; and the cries of the reapers have reached the ears of the Lord of Sabaoth.[a] 5 You have lived on the earth in pleasure and luxury; you have fattened your hearts as[b] in a day of slaughter. 6 You have condemned, you have murdered the just; he does not resist you.” ~ James 5: 1-6

        • Who the fook wrote that shit? Doesn’t apply to me. Speak for yourself.

      15. Poppy Bush, is that you in there?

      16. What all here are missing in their jealousy of what it would mean to be rich enough to afford such places is that those people would survive the first wave of most any attack, plague, EMP, weather-event/cataclysm, ‘zombie’ horde. They would be healthy, well-fed, clean, complete with all requisite supplies – and damned good ones at that. Sure, the outside survivors can say they’d ‘smoke ’em out’. But, those inside will have the superior firepower – at least at first. You think they won’t all have full auto, artillery, advanced weapon systems? Such are ‘chump-change’ to these people. And they’ve now the power to purchase and possess such. Ask any mayor of a liberal city just how primed his/her security is. Pretty damned good. The trick they’ve figured out is start off AFTER a SHTF event in perfect shape in all ways and deal with the starving masses afterwards.

      17. No thanks, I will pass.

      18. I can barely live with people above ground, I’m pretty sure underground would be a bad thing. Lots of “niceties” down there. Where are the workshops, tools, etc ? I think if I had that kind of cash I would have a full machine / wood shop to make anything I could before I put in a water slide ?

      19. animals could be bred and slaughtered

      20. It’s all good until the pampered educated idiots flush too much toilet paper and raw sewage backs up in to the shelter. imagine the smell! Good luck finding a plumber among the super rich.

In the meantime heavily armed radioactive redneck zombies are drilling in down to your shelter with an old drilling rig. Pumping nasty fumes down the hole. if you go up top to shoot at the zombies you gotta wear full protective gear. Combat in full protective gear sucks bad. What’s a richie rich to do?

        Point being, caves are graves.

      21. Your article is very accurate BUT it does not mention that the system is “federal continuity of government” financed and also connected to an underground bullet train system and also a complex of 12 cities beneath the mountaintops of the Ozark Mountains. It went into full service very recently and can be best described as starting under the town of Mountain View in Stone County Arkansas moving first Northeast across the Missouri border and then into a westward curve all the way back to Ozark in Christian County Missouri. The “Penthouses” are serviced from the same underground railway and the 12 city complexes mentioned here. My own blood-and-by-marriage relatives worked on this complex and some have died because they revealed data on the facts (they signed non-disclosure agreements and then broke them).

      22. “Oh how hard it is for the rich to enter heaven!” How foolish to think a pretty penny and a bunker will save from the great trib. We are at the beg of trib now as these satanists know very well. However, they apparently do not know Gods ways or word concerning them. Rapture at 6th seal. Truthers and preppers will realize that the rabbit hole leads to Christ if you dig deep enough with a open mind and heart. Call me crazy thats fine, but when the comets and asteroids come followed by huge planets visible for all to see, know the Kingdom of Heaven draws near and please repent of sins for salvation is a free gift for all if we could just remove our pride for a moments time. If im wrong, all i have said means nothing. If im right, its the far most important thing one could ever do. Life isnt about success and riches accomplished in this short time we’re alive on Earth. Its about graduating to eternal life imo. We1
