In an “Onion-sounding” article in Russian tabloid Komsomolskaya Pravda, titled “Trump-Pump-Pump And Our Big Bang”, Russian military expert Viktor Baranetz, a retired colonel and former defense ministry spokesman asserted that Russia has asymmetrical responses to the increase in the U.S. military budget.

The Middle East Media Research Institute reports that, according to Baranetz, Russia is “quietly ‘seeding’ the U.S. shoreline with nuclear ‘mole’ missiles” that “dig themselves in and ‘sleep’ until they are given the command” to detonate.

Following are excerpts from Baranetz’s article

“Our Asymmetrical Response Is Nuclear Warheads”

“The U.S. is the permanent ‘world champion’ in the size of its military budget – almost $600 billion, which is 10 times more than Russias. Even if we add together the military budgets of the top ten countries in the world, they would not reach the American budget! Now it turns out that even that is not enough for Donald Trump. He intends to increase defense expenditure by $54 billion. This money would be enough to maintain five Polish armies. Or 10 Ukrainian ones.

“The American public is already grumbling at Trump, who prefers guns to butter. But cunning Trump understands what his trump card is: He is ‘buying’ the support of the army, as well as of military industry corporations. Former Chief of the General Staff of the Russian Army Yuri Baluyevsky is certain that ‘the idea to increase defense expenditure was presented to Trump by the U.S. military, who argue a lot about the power of the Russian army, realizing this is an opportunity to get new money.’ But how will Moscow react to the growing military budget of the U.S.? Baluyevsky answers: ‘Russia will not compete with the U.S. in defense expenditure. We are in a different weight class. For us, the main question is how to ensure Russia’s defense at a lower cost. I am sure that we have already found asymmetrical responses. I don’t see a big problem here.’

“What are these mysterious ‘asymmetrical responses’ that our politicians and generals speak about so often? Maybe it’s a myth or a pretty turn of phrase? No! Our asymmetrical response is nuclear warheads that can modify their course and height so that no computer can calculate their trajectory. Or, for example, the Americans are deploying their tanks, airplanes and special forces battalions along the Russian border. And we are quietly ‘seeding’ the U.S. shoreline with nuclear ‘mole’ missiles (they dig themselves in and ‘sleep’ until they are given the command)

     […]

“Oh, it seems I’ve said too much. I should hold my tongue.

“In short, we have something to provide an ‘asymmetrical’ (and cheaper) response to the Americans. But if Trump has money to burn, let him spend it on weapons that the U.S. may never even need. And they say Trump is a good businessman…”

Of course, we have no way to confirm whether this is fact or fake news, but we note that Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov dismissed these claims.

In response to a journalist’s question on Baranetz’s article, Peskov said: “This sounds strange, to say the least, and so I would suggest that you not take newspaper reports like this seriously.”

Strange indeed seems to be the new normal since Trump became President. Does make one wonder what the Russian spy ship was doing just 30 miles from America’s “primary East Coast Sub base a month ago.”

      1. The Middle East Media said there are moles that seed nuclear bombs that dig in and sleep until they are given the command to detonate.

Sure enough. They are called Radical Islamists.

And, no, they aren’t Russians. They are either the sons of Ishmael or his half brother. All of them are sons of ditches. Now, don’t get it turned around.

        __

        • “The U.S. is the permanent ‘world champion’ in the size of its military budget – almost $600 billion, which is 10 times more than Russias. ”

BULLSHIT !!! PROPAGANDA !!! THIS IS PATENTLY FALSE !!!

Russia doesn’t buy its weapons in dollars. They buy their weapons in Roubles. China does not buy its weapons in dollars. China buys its weapons in Yuan. Other variables aside (like cheap labor) the only way to get a ball park comparable on military spending between the USA, Russia, and China, one must multiply the Russian Military Budget by 65 as in 65 Roubles to the dollar to accurately measure its defense spending against the US Military Budget.

Likewise China’s Military Budget must be multiplied by 6.5 as in 6.5 Yuan to the dollar to find the comparable spending number. 🙂

        • B from CA, I will still take on muzzies or any other trash who come after me with evil intentions toward me.

        • B from CA, I will still take on muzzies or any other trash who come after me with evil intentions toward me.

        • And they are finding safe refuge in the pathetic sanctuary cities across the country.

      2. Ahh. Maybe that would explain the big old contraption that was walking on the bottom of
the ocean floor. Hmm. If they detonate under water that would be a Tsunami-like effect for
all of those big cities on the east coast. Kinda glad I live inland in Bubbaville.

        • That “contraption” is beyond Russian capability. Maybe ours as well. It depends upon how the missing $4 TRILLION in DOD funds were spent. 🙂

      3. I think I saw one selling on eBay, cheap.
So why are we still molesting women, children and super seniors at the airports? We need to relocate these TSA folks to the coasts. I think that would be great location for them. And the digging in sand instead of digging in diapers would be good exercise for them.

        • I refuse to fly anymore, be molested and harassed by some Spanish speaking immigrant in a TSA uniform looting my luggage for my belongings for them to steal. Like I thought this was America. I hope they at least the RUS NUKES target the NE that is the cause of most of America’s problems Thanks Putin.

      4. Psyops from our shadow govt.

Don’t forget about those nukes that went missing some years ago.

        “We’ll just blame the Russians”.

If our side can do it to us with malware, why can’t they do it with nukes?

      5. If this is true, can’t we send Navy frogmen down there to at least try to locate those things?
What happened to all of those suitcase nukes they claim to have planted here during the
Cold War? Or was that a hoax as well? I think nukes only have a shelf life for so long and then they don’t work anymore.

      6. anyone else sick of anything russian?

        • Not the vodka ?

      7. Sounds like a bedtime story to me.

        • PO’d Patriot, I wouldn’t be too sure of that. How many here remember the “suitcase nukes” built during the last decade of the USSR? They were supposedly kept under KGB control. After the Soviet Union collapsed, an inventory of the entire nuclear arsenal was taken and all those suitcase nukes were discovered missing. That was in 1992. Unless I’m missing something here, those nukes were never found. Not even sure whether they’re still usable. And THAT is not a bedtime story.

      8. Item of interest: MY DAUGETER WORKS FOR A CERTAIN dept of Aviation in an east coast state. Her office sits on a runway of an international airport. She recently sent me a photo of a Russian Anotov airplane sit g ing on the tarmac for 2 days.
The reason being it was picking up supplies. Why?..
        Strange things hsppening everywhere

        • Russia isn’t the only country flying Anotov’s. Back in 2008 when I cam back from Iraq, we landed at Hunter Army Airfield in Savannah, GA. There was an AN-225 loading Blackhawk Helicopters. I don’t know for sure, but probably bound for Kyrgyzstan. Had a Belgian crew.

          • the picture i have has russian on it

      9. what’s their motive for doing that? they’re going to beat them in the currency war. and then all the-powers-that-be will be irrelevant; they’ll try to maintain power by force, but then they’ll get to a point where they cannot sustain the support. The US will collapse without a shot fired across its borders…….well, that’s whats in the rumor mill …..

      10. Considering each side has the ability to conservatively, if just 10% of their warheads get through, and one can bet that the percentage would be a few multiples of that, put the opponent in the stone age any additional deterrence is just to line MIC with some cash.

Some rag head with an ax to grind against the US is a worry.

        • Kevin2, there are MILLIONS of ragheads and other illegal aliens from around the world here ALREADY with axes to grind against us. That’s one of the BIGGEST reasons I still prep. All my options will remain on the table.

      11. Let me tell you God damn Russian fuckers something you better not come here and fuck with us, bring your women solider here we will bang the shit out of them.. Fuck you sons of bitches, dont even get me started with this topic.

        HCKS..

      12. Once again, let me inform you Mr. Russian Loudmouth…

Detonate one and I will walk a fricking carpet of ground burst cobalt jacketed nukes all over your wheat belt or equivalent. It will salt the frigging earth with deadly radiation for 50-100 years, right where you grow all your food. More than long enough, let’s put it that way.

I don’t need a more technologically superior response than that.

Have fun starving to death in those bunkers of yours.

      13. The communists and leftest now infesting America worry me much more. Hawaii challenging President Trumps new travel ban is just one more attempt to destroy America from within.

      14. Mar 6, 2017 Zakharova warns of Orwellian US Media 2.03.17

Have a listen to what Zakharova has to say in relation to “fake news”. Is there a deliberate campaign to undermine trust in all traditional media, so that the public can no longer form an opinion?

        https://youtu.be/5KWFhCh5Vs8

      15. His source is MEMRI….”The Middle East Media Research Institute reports that…..”

People are stupid beyond belief the TRASH source and the story….You are asses of the worst kind of you give this fake story more credence than you would a fart in an elevator.

      16. The blame Russia meme is so old and tiring and FAKE. You can tell the brainwashing is strong in those who can’t the obvious in the olde “Russia is coming” mindset.

      17. I call B.S. on this. What if someone found one? I can just see it now. A bunch of ISIS sympathizers in Dearborn make a trip to the coast looking for one and find it. Or even law abiding citizens. They would of course call the police, who call the Feds and the a whole sh*t storm would take place. We have the ability isotopically fingerprint where it came from and we would see it came from Russia.

      18. The US Air Force lost a hydrogen device off the coast of SC approx. 60 yrs ago and it was just found fairly recently by civilian divers……The idea that Russia has placed nuke weapons in the sea bed off our coast is not that far fetched and I would dare to say it is highly probably . I am sure their strategy in case of imminent conflict would be to attack key strategic bases on the east coast such as Kings Bay Ga. And Groton CT. Where us sub bases are located . If in a surprise attack they could disable a large amount of that piece of the US. Nuke triad while in port the outcome of the conflict swings heavily in their favor. The ballistic missile subs are the hardest opponent for Russia to defend against and crippling them could make all the difference ! Russia has been in a 10 yr military modernization build up while the US military has been in a steady draw down under Obama. Russia has placed a huge emphasis on modernizing its nuke force while we have stuff built under the Reagan admin. Do not underestimate Russia and its capabilities.

      19. ФАК Ю, Yab tvoyu mat, Oh and have a great day.

      20. All, I’ve been around long enough to understand stories like this. Some Soros type of person tries to stir people up so they find some one with some sort of credentials to put a story out there. This is BS. Don’t fall for it.
