The “war on terror” has simultaneously been a war on truth. For fifteen years—from 9/11 to Saddam Hussein’s “weapons of mass destruction” and “al Qaeda connections,” “Iranian nukes,” “Assad’s use of chemical weapons,” endless lies about Gadaffi, “Russian invasion of Ukraine”—the governments of the so-called Western democracies have found it essential to align themselves firmly with lies in order to pursue their agendas. Now these Western governments are attempting to discredit the truthtellers who challenge their lies.
Russian news services are under attack from the EU and Western presstitutes as purveyors of “fake news.” Abiding by its Washington master’s orders, the EU actually passed a resolution against Russian media for not following Washington’s line. Russian President Putin said that the resolution is a “visible sign of degradation of Western society’s idea of democracy.”
As George Orwell predicted, telling the truth is now regarded by Western “democratic” governments as a hostile act. A brand new website, propornot.com, has just made its appearance condemning a list of 200 Internet websites that provide news and views at variance with the presstitute media that serves the governments’ agendas. Does propornot.com’s funding come from the CIA, the National Endowment for Democracy, George Soros?

In the West those who disagree with the murderous and reckless policies of public officials are demonized as “Russian agents.” The president-elect of the United States himself has been designated a “Russian agent.”
This scheme to redefine truthtellers as propagandists has backfired. The effort to discredit truthtellers has instead produced a catalogue of websites where reliable information can be found, and readers are flocking to the sites on the list. Moreover, the effort to discredit truthtellers shows that Western governments and their presstitutes are intolerant of truth and diverse opinion and are committed to forcing people to accept self-serving government lies as truth.
Clearly, Western governments and Western media have no respect for truth, so how can the West possibly be democratic?
The presstitute Washington Post played its assigned role in the claim promoted by Washington that the alternative media consists of Russian agents. Craig Timberg, who appears devoid of integrity or intelligence, and perhaps both, is the WaPo stooge who reported the fake news that “two teams of independent researchers” – none of whom are identified – found that the Russians exploited my gullibility, that of CounterPunch, Professor Michel Chossudosky of Global Researh, Ron Paul, Lew Rockwell, Justin Raimondo and that of 194 other websites to help “an insurgent candidate” (Trump) “claim the White House.”

Western governments are running out of excuses. Since the Clinton regime, the accumulation of war crimes committed by Western governments exceed those of Nazi Germany. I don’t get to visit Mac’s site here as often as I once did, nor as often as I’d like. But it’s still a kick-ass place. Especially the comments section. Mac leaves it as wide open as possible and yet it rarely degenerates into childish tit-for-tat rants between those who post. For example, I enjoy Alex Jones’s stuff (even if I don’t believe it all) but I won’t even bother with the comments section. It’s too much like a grade-school playground.
SHTFplan is different. Sure, there’s a bit of name-calling but nothing like some other sites. Most people stick to the information presented rather than the one who wrote it. Whether one supports the ideas posted or attacks them, it’s good to have a place for debate where the focus is on the IDEAS, not the writer.
We’ve had countless personal conflicts here over the years but rarely is anyone permanently booted from the site. As far as disputes go, a recent case in point is Zeus and Old Guy. They have their differences and (occasionally) a comment is deleted by Mac. Still, they return with new posts focusing on the IDEAS, not a verbal assault on each other. So, Mac keeps posting their stuff. I think that’s good.
I don’t know if I agree with Zeus on everything, but he’s posted lots of interesting thoughts, and provided links or search terms so we can go investigate on our own. Same with Old Guy. None of his comments have turned me to the point I’d skip over his stuff. I still read it all.
I’m not trying to be a Rodney King type (can’t we all just get along?) In fact, I enjoy a bit of verbal scuffling, just not to the level of WWE 🙂 My point is this- even though a person can’t take both sides on an issue, maybe he can learn from what both are saying. For that, I salute Mac and this wonderful site. (the suck up alert meter is dangerously high, I’d better go back to being my cranky self.)

SmokinOkie, I can’t prove this, but Zeus sounds a lot like WWTI. Go back to some of WWTI’s posts and compare them to Zeus. WWTI used to take certain positions that I agreed with but he was always showing his rear end. Zeus got my dander up with his derogatory comment about Cuban exiles on the last thread so I let him have it both barrels and you know it’s RARE for me to get like that on here. I’ve been close to WWE-level verbal scuffling several times myself but only because someone gave me reason to do so. Other than that, I always enjoy some lively discussion as long as we can keep it civil and I always do my best to stay that way. Take care.

Most criticisms of me I let slide, but that crack was just too serious to let go. He made mention of my late wife, all my in-laws, and people I used to work with, shared many good and bad times with, peole who were uprooted from their homes and nation by a ruthless commie dictator who had nothing but evil intentions toward them. They had the second highest rate of movie theaters (per capita) in the world. US was number one. If people have time and money for leisure they’re probably in a good economy. BISMARCK — An early proposal for the Dakota Access Pipeline called for the project to cross the Missouri River north of Bismarck, but one reason that route was rejected was its potential threat to Bismarck’s water supply, documents show.
Now a growing number of protesters are objecting to the oil pipeline’s Missouri River crossing a half-mile north of the Standing Rock Sioux Reservation, which they argue could threaten the water supply for the tribe and other communities downstream.

Early in the planning process, Dakota Access considered but eliminated an alternative that would have crossed the Missouri River about 10 miles north of Bismarck instead of the route currently under construction.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers evaluated the Bismarck route and concluded it was not a viable option for many reasons. One reason mentioned in the agency’s environmental assessment is the proximity to wellhead source water protection areas that are avoided to protect municipal water supply wells.
In addition, the Bismarck route would have been 11 miles longer with more road crossings and waterbody and wetland crossings. It also would have been difficult to stay 500 or more feet away from homes, as required by the North Dakota Public Service Commission, the Corps of Engineers states.
The Bismarck route also would have crossed an area considered by federal pipeline regulators as a “high consequence area,” which is an area determined to have the most significant adverse consequences in the event of a pipeline spill.
The Standing Rock Sioux Tribe argues that consequences would be severe if the 30-inch pipeline carrying 450,000 barrels of oil per day were to leak near the reservation’s water intake valves. The tribe is suing the Corps of Engineers over its approval of the water crossing. A hearing is scheduled for next week in Washington, D.C.

Well It seems since eppie is gone. The Troll has made me his arch enemy. To be fair I tend to be a bit abrasive at times. A natural born Curmudgeion if you will. That’s oK Ive got a thick skin. My wife has made me inpervious to insults and criticism over more than 4 decades. She stated you doing that thing that irritates me. I reply whats that? She replys breathing. Actually some of my ancestors are from the Dakotas. Man Dan and Minot areas. They came from Sweden and helped fight the plains indian wars in the 1800,s. I still have relatives in that region. I simply don’t believe the pipeline will effect the water. I myself have worked on pipelines. I ran dozer & sideboom. We crossed some really big rivers. We used a jointed pipe that has sealed joints that can bend. We drug dragline buckets across the river bottom removing silt and debris. We eventually carved a deep trench. Then pulled the jointed pipe across with plugs at each end. Wheen it was in place we filled it with water and it sank into the trench. The river current would cover the pipe in a short tme. We had valves at each end connection and air pressure checked the crossing. They check the crossings at regular intervals. And If there is a leak any oil would immediately float to the top of the water. It would not enter the aquifers. And crude oil is a natural thing. just like a snakes poison or a million other natural things that possibly may be harmful to organic life.

We really have to discredit any report from anonymous sources. I quit reading when the term anonymous sources pops up. Step up or shut up and stop obvious dis-unification for agenda purposes. If we were really free we could use our real names here and not have to worry about operational security from mega data collection or subjective reports from anonymous sources. The only freedom I see in this attack on news uncontrolled by the global elites is the actual list of alternative news sites. There are reasons we have developed norms that progressive thinking dislike. It reminds me of the old saying “better learn from others mistakes because you won’t live long enough to make them all yourself”. Norms develop organically to prevent chaos as opposed to controlled narrative norms induced to promote an agenda. I call them GMO norms.
