Earlier this week Democrats voted down a bill that would protect infants who are born alive as a result of botched abortions.
Essentially, the bill would have protected a child once it has left the woman’s body and was alive and breathing on its own.
While some of our readers may have differing opinions on abortion, pro-life and pro-choice, the fact is that once a child has left the mother’s body it becomes its own entity and is a living, breathing human being.
There are tens of thousands of individuals that have been sharing their views on social media arguing that the woman’s right to choose should be protected.
This, of course, begs the question: At what point does a woman’s right to choose end and a child’s right to life begin?

My son had to go back to the hospital at two weeks due to failure to thrive and was there for a month; the docs thought his chances were extremely slim. What is meant by ‘alive’ is different to different people.
This week Missouri passed the most pro-life bill in the USA. This bill outlaws abortion when there is a heartbeat detected, usually at around twelve weeks.
There is no exception for babies with Down’s Syndrome. An abortion because of Down’s Syndrome is now illegal in Missouri. I think that if anything deserves to have been excluded from being made illegal, Down’s Syndrome and other serious diseases and physical deformities should be left to the discretion of parents. No woman should be forced to deliver a seriously I’ll or retarded baby.
But the bill also outlaws abortion for gender preference. This I applaud. The bill outlaws abortion because of race. It is not clear if this includes rape. The bill requires that both parents be notified if the pregnant one is a minor. I don’t know if there is an exception for incest, which was the main objection for parental notification before Rowe vs Wade.
There should be some common sense so that we don’t through the baby out with the bath water. No one in their right mind is in favor of infanticide, but abortion of compromised fetuses, unborn babies exposed to thalidomide or some such thing are going to overburden tax payers and harm families who could try again for a normal, healthy child.

I now look at them like the evil, twisted, perverted people they show they are everyday. They have gone to the dark side and will pay either in this lifetime or the next. What happens next when they eventually put us all in a government health care plan…Who next will be considered not viable? The elderly? The young person who has some kind of lifelong disease? The unemployed? I will call out any Dem’s I know and vocally let them know they stand for and with murderers. This Country is sliding into a sh1thole of immorality. Seriously, everyone can piss off. Some people say that these “liberal murderers” are mentally disturbed, I disagree. In order to be mentally disturbed you first have to have an “mentality”, and these monsters do not, they are DEVIL’S sent from HELL to further the plans of SATAN, to destroy MANKIND and bring the people of Earth to their knees and serve SATIN. And where better to start than the most powerful, successful, and influential country on the planet, the United States Of America. If they can bring us down, they can bring the whole world down, for without the U.S. holding back the tide of EVIL around the world we are finished, done, cooked. It’s time to stand for something folks, and if this isn’t enough to get you into action then what is? If murdering babies and young children isn’t enough to get the good people of the world to stand up and put an end to this madness then there is nothing that they can do that will get you to act, if murdering our children isn’t enough to catch your attention then there is nothing that will. We are in very dark times, decisions must be made, and the righteous must rise, now is the time, and here is the place, no matter where here is. It’s either we stop this insanity now or prepare yourselves for total WAR, world war, and then it will be every man for himself, and women, if there are any left that are willing to fight the good fight. You know what is really sick? All you people up in arms about abortion and yet I see none of this fire to support an help the children here on earth who are being abused. We have families protecting the abusers, churches, and people just pretending not to notice anything. Yet we ALL want to clamor on about abortion. Those not born into this hell on earth are the lucky ones. The only purpose for life to exist on earth is to product more life so what is the point of any of our existence here? Just to keep breeding? And then when you are born into this hell you are forced to try and survive in this dog at dog world. Not to mention the unlucky ones who are born into terrible families, who will become drug addicts, victims of murder, rape and more terrible things. Why not fix what is wrong in the world instead of focusing on this issue? Secondly none of the comments mention the male responsibility in this abortion mess (sure there are some men who want their babies but there are even more who encourage abortion, don’t care for the the babies they have made and many men who lie about caring for a women just to get sex). There are many psychological factors involved in the abortion issue. Too bad most of you are clueless sheep who just want to bahh on and on about how abortion is bad but not actually have a real conversation about why abortions are happening to begin with.
