As we have reported numerous times, at this point, the reality that vaccine passports will essentially become an individual’s ‘passport to life’ seems like a foregone conclusion. The EU is already working on rolling out a digital system to allow residents to prove their vaccination status in a desperate attempt to save the summer tourism season, which faced devastation last year because of the pandemic.
As the Biden Administration works with the private sector to develop a standardized way for Americans to prove their status (an effort that’s being led by airlines and their consultants), MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough, a frequent and early GOP critic of President Trump, wants Americans to know that if they don’t support vaccine passports, then they’re “an idiot” and a “moron” who should probably “crawl back to your cave.”
We imagine Scarborough’s corporate sponsors, who are depending on the scheme to entice people to get out and consume.
Republicans and civil liberties advocates have criticized vaccine passports as s step toward “totalitarian communism”, and even Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis has vowed not to let them become a requirement in the state of Florida.
Scarborough’s rant continues, blasting Americans skeptical of vaccine passports as opposing the teachings of Jesus: https://t.co/7A5c27ifZM

But that apparently didn’t occur to Scarborough as he chided Americans for “following conspiracy theories” and for living in “ignorance and stupidity.”
“They’re being stupid, they’re following conspiracy theories…they don’t understand because maybe they’re such morons,” he thundered. “If they don’t want to take the vaccine and they want to die, that’s their right as Americans. They can live in ignorance and stupidity.”
“Our government, our sports teams, our concert promoters damned well better put together something where you can show your vaccine receipt,” he said.
“This anti-science idiocy, you know, let them do that under a rock or in their caves,” he added, concluding that “the time to try to reason with these people has long passed.”
Scarborough was instantly blasted online for his rant, which some called out as “totally unhinged.”
To put it another way: "Our government damned well better systematically violate individuals' right to informed consent."

With enough enthusiasm from the private sector, the US government may only step in to ensure standardization. Speaking to reporters on Monday, White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki said that “we want to drive the market toward meeting public interest goals.” The government “is not viewing its role as the place to create a passport, nor a place to hold the data of citizens,” Andy Slavitt, a White House Covid-19 adviser, added during Psaki’s briefing.
Of course, views on vaccines are much different in Europe, where Germany on Tuesday is reportedly planning to bar the AstraZeneca jab, limiting to only patients under the age of 60. The effort follows the publication of new research purporting to link the AstraZeneca jab with rare, but deadly, blood clots that have occurred in a small number of patients. The EMA and WHO haven’t denied a connection, but continue to insist that the benefits of the jab far outweigh the costs.
He is not taken seriously. It appears to me this is one reason why he goes on these rants, he’s on a never ending quest for credibility. Perennial low ratings, but he has a show because he spews the State’s drivel that’s pleases his corporate masters. Desperate to be counted among the “elite” which of course entitles to him insult vast numbers of people. Just another example of a self-important talker. He is one of those people we all have had to endure in our own lives occasionally, a smug, insufferable and boorish know-it-all, a lecturer. Actually, people frequently laugh at him because he goes on these unhinged rants, he’s more an entertainer than anything else.
s step toward “totalitarian communism”
I would place a much higher, social value, on conservatives, who went on the offensive, where there was some inalienable right being re-negotiated, re-negotiated, and they put the radical activist in prison.
In our constitutional republic, the only crimes that are delegated (in writing) to the federal government in the Constitution for law enforcement purposes are Treason, Piracy, Counterfeiting, and International law violations. All other law enforcement matters are the purview of the individual states according to the wishes of the people of that state. “Vaccine passports” are not delegated to the feds, so each state must decide what will be done in their state, hopefully by asking their people. Health matters decisions belong to each state.
Cal…health matters are personnel. Not to be directed by the federal, state, or local government. Life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. I will not comply!
Since this is a genetic experiment , not a vaccine, who needs a vaccine passport .
It’s my sincere wish to see people like him out somewhere. That’d be news
Joe Scarborough, another ignorant media-personality, incapable of rational thought. Similar to so many sports personalities that failed to do their homework. I might admire their athletic achievements but these folks usually brought the grading curve down. Why would anyone value the opinions of these cretins.
Joe should probably go back to living under the rock that he crawled out from!
Rumor is that any business or supplier of goods that bolts there door to non vaccinated customers puts their entire livlyhood on the line. Watching your store burn to the ground is not a good retirement plan.
Very good observation. Not allowing me to shop, dine, worship, travel, is in fact a premeditated attempt on my welfare and wellbeing, which will prompt me to protect myself. If I am not able to participate – neither are you.
Joe said we would all be dead by now if we didn’t wear masks. Wrong again Joe. We are still around.
“With enough enthusiasm from the private sector…”
All of my neighbors have given lots and lots of enthusiasm, to experts and laws, that I have never particularly voted-on.
The globalist level of politics is supposedly voluntary.
Hard to understand if Joe is just utterly, utterly corrupt, totally and completely stupid, deluded, or just plain evil.
All of the above.
