The march to war is deafening.
But the reasons for it go beyond the elements of military conflict and political intrigue.
Underlying it all, the reasons are economic.
With a nothing-doing economy that has long dragged on the American soul, there is a growing temptation to wipe the slate clean, and launch a wider war – all with the wider aim of igniting a new economic engine.
Theoretically, the economy would spruce up on the same gin that fueled WWII – and not only delivered a victory, but solidified America a prosperous superpower while vanquishing the Great Depression.
The thought is twisted, and perhaps more and more likely everyday. Something like economic gains off of spilling blood – true military industrial complex stuff.
I hope they know what there doing, and that the rest of the country can maintain a strong moral fiber, because if that scenario is green-lighted, things could get pretty grim, pretty quick.
The constant Greg Hunter of USAWatchdog.com speaks with economist Martin Armstrong, who sees war coming as a result of the bad economy:
Former hedge fund manager Martin Armstrong, who is an expert on economic and political cycles, says, “You have to understand what makes war even take place? It does not unfold when everybody is fat and happy. Simple as that. You turn the economy down, and that’s when you get war. It’s the way politics works.”

Startlingly, there were reports (albeit unconfirmed) in the foreign press back in 2008 – in the immediate wake of the economic crisis – that the RAND Corporation was suggesting that a new world war could be started in order to jump start and revive the economy.
It named Russia, China, Iran or another Middle Eastern country and/or North Korea as potential opponents, though the latter was considered too small time for a real economic boost.
Nine years after that crisis, the economy has not recovered, and remains in the doldrums, it seems that the option for further has gone full-blown.
As Paul Watson and Yihan Dai wrote back in 2008:
According to reports out of top Chinese mainstream news outlets, the RAND Corporation recently presented a shocking proposal to the Pentagon in which it lobbied for a war to be started with a major foreign power in an attempt to stimulate the American economy and prevent a recession.
China’s biggest media outlet, Sohu.com, speculated that the target of the new war would probably be China or Russia, but that it could also be Iran or another middle eastern country. Japan was also mentioned as a potential target for the reason that Japan holds the most U.S. debt.
North Korea was considered as a target but ruled out because the scale of such a war would not be large enough for RAND’s requirements.

One would hope that good people, or at least sane people who don’t wish to start a global nuclear war, will oppose the RAND proposal, such as top the military generals who threatened to quit if Bush ordered an attack on Iran. Admiral William Fallon, the head of US Central Command, quit in March last year as a result of his opposition to Bush administration policy on Iran.
Now that we are seeing a plan long in action playing out, there’s a good chance that our time is up.

I drove up to Kenosha yesterday from north burbs of Chicago to hang outside on the corner to wait for Trump to fly in to SNAP-ON. I didn’t drive up ENTIRELY for Trump, there’s a place called Frank’s Diner there that was on Diner’s Drive-in’s and Dive’s that is really good and has a thing called the “Garbage plate” which is absolutely fantastic. So it was kind of a kill two birds with one stone trip.
But I wanted to go up and start engaging these communists that were also there protesting. You had a decent amount of Trump supporters but they were mostly docile and limp dicked.
Some hispanic guy came through with about 8 people following him on a loud speaker saying “immigration reform now” blah blah blah. I got right in his face and said “go back to your shithole country of Mexico. He was startled and kept walking while…few of the high school kids and other Trump supporters started laughing. But nobody on our side got vocal and tried to step up to these pieces of ****.
Then later these two chicks and one black dude who was kinda tall but scrawny who were blatant communists, chanting in their loud speakers “racist genocidal blah blah blah” as they walked on the side of the street next to the curb alongside where lots of people were lined up. Definitely professional commie looking commie dressed people. And they started walking and chanting about 15 feet away from the corner we were on, and as soon as this black dude started yelling their lame chants and was about 8 feet from me…got directly in his face cupped my hands and yelled out “SHUT THE **** up” and kept saying it repeatedly to drown out what they were saying. and the black dude, probably not expecting a relatively medium sized white guy to get in his face, and he looked me and immediately got flustered and had a look of fear in his eyes. But then a cop stepped in and was about to arrest them for being on the street but then didn’t. So there was no potential for escalation at that point, but I could see he wanted no part of me getting in his face. So the cops getting in the middle of it prevented me from continually getting in his face and shouting him down.
Let the war begin…let society break down…these communists are pussies. Problem is there are so many limp dicked white people who are petrified of being called a “Racist” and won’t step up to these pieces of ****. There were no signs of any Trump supporters attempting to go on the offensive like I did.

IMO it is not correct to say that WW 2 ended the great depression. America’s economy peaked during the war years, and then crashed after the war. We used Korea to revive the economy, and after Korea the economy crashed again. We tried again in Vietnam by using the Gulf of Tonkin false flag, but remember the early 1970’s with a stagnant economy, and run away inflation.
I recall a talking head saying, “The federal reserve rate has not been this low for this long since 1965 (Gulf of Tonkin).” This was just prior to our attack on Iraq. The US economy has not been revived by the mid-eastern wars any more than it was by the previous wars.
Yes, the elite will trigger a new, and global war. The purpose of the war will not be profit, but the opportunity to start over. After everything is destroyed the only option will be to ‘reboot from last know good configuration’. You started with a flawed premise, and it only built on the flaw.
Firstly, WWII did not end The Great Depression. The Great Depression ended in 1948 when Truman and congress rolled back on government.
Secondly, and this is your flaw, you are arguing the “broken windows” fallacy. Henry Hazlitt dispels this rather nicely in “Economics in One Lesson.” While it is true that carpenters and bricklayers and other tradesmen can do well in war’s aftermath, they’re consuming capital to rebuild the wealth that was destroyed by the war. That capital could have been spent on NEW construction, and not only the original homeowner would have remained whole, but a new homeowner would have bought the new construction. Half the number of new homes for twice the price is no way to grow an economy.
Even if we don’t fight on our own soil, and all destruction is limited to some faraway land, what is the capital cost for prosecuting that war? Isn’t that money that could have been left in the hands of private citizens to build new cars and buy new computers and take vacations?
I’m certainly not a pacifist, not even by a huge stretch of the imagination. There are a few reasons to go to war, but economic growth isn’t one of them because there is no real growth. At the conclusion of the war, all of the leftover materiel no longer has any useful purpose. That’s capital that’s lying around, doing nothing. Literally.
WWII was definitely a boon to the people that were making airplanes and bullets and so forth, but it was a time of significant privation for everyone else. If your tires went bald or flat, you figured out a way to fix them, or you didn’t have a car to drive. There were no tires available to buy for ordinary people, nor any of a host of other things because all of the raw goods were going to the war effort. There were no coats to buy (wool went to the making of uniforms and cold weather gear); food and gasoline were rationed; so was coal (it was needed to run the steel mills around the clock).
The prosecution of war, and its great expense and destruction, can only be principally justified if it serves to preserve our liberty. Economic growth comes from our liberty, and so only tangentially is war beneficial to our economic health.
I would worry more about war coming from Europe, the continent with the most experience of war.

I don’t know about the economic side of war but if we do end up going to war one possible positive would be the draft forcing all those whining babies prancing around in their underwear protesting everything Trump to get drafted, maybe this will force some Americans to grow a pair so to speak, Trump isn’t starting a war he’s forced to clean up the mess Obama started, economic gains or not sometimes war is inevitable when reason has been worn out and traitors in our midst have started the snowball rolling.
