There are people in our government who are determined to chip away at our Second Amendment rights, and they are an insidious bunch. Rarely do they make blatant gun grabbing attempts. Typically they push for policies that quietly set back gun rights. They like laws that merely set precedents without alarming the public, and they’ve been doing it successfully for decades.
The latest of these attempts comes from Illinois, one of the least gun friendly states in America. State Senator Julie Morrison has proposed a bill titled SB 1291, which would allow the government to confiscate firearms from citizens without any due process. According to Breitbart:
SB 1291 would create a “Lethal Order of Protection” whereby the firearms of Illinois residents could be confiscated if a family member or “law officer” files a petition stating the gun owner “poses an immediate and present danger of causing personal injury to himself, herself, or another by having … [a firearm] in his or her custody or control.”
SB 1291’s summary states:
[The bill] provides that the petition shall also describe the type, and location of any firearm or firearms presently believed by the petitioner to be possessed or controlled by the respondent. Provides that the petitioner may be a family member of the respondent or a law enforcement officer, who files a petition alleging that the respondent poses a danger of causing personal injury to himself, herself, or another by having in his or her custody or control, owning, purchasing, possessing, or receiving a firearm. Establishes factors that the court must consider before issuing a lethal violence order of protection. Provides for the issuance of ex parte orders and one year orders.
Basically if this bill passes, then a resident of Illinois could have his or her firearms confiscated if a family member alleges that the person in question is an immediate threat to himself or others. All they have to do is file a petition and report that allegation to the government. I say allegation, because under this bill, no real proof is required to take away someone’s firearms.
Moreover, the input and presence of the person who is targeted is not required during this process. If this happened to you, it wouldn’t even be your word against theirs. You wouldn’t be able to defend yourself in court at all.
However, what may be more alarming about this bill, is it that states that a “law enforcement officer” can file one of these petitions. Does that mean that the cops could have your weapons confiscated on a whim?
The gun grabbers in our society have tried to set a lot of bad legal precedents over the years. Let’s pray that this doesn’t become one of them.

And while they were at the police station, the police went to their residence, searched and located guns and seized them. It was then up to the gun owners to pay lawyers to get them back. The residences were not in the town where the arrests took place. This was in Illinois. 15 years ago. Don’t keep all of your toys at the same location. Do not talk to police without a lawyer.

Never, never make statements to the police except name, address, showing ID, etc….what you say before being mirandized cannot be used in a court of law. However, what you say could determine whether there is probable cause for your arrest or detainment. And there is a fine line, as you could be found guilty for obstruction if you don’t cooperate. However, an obstruction charge is only a misdemeanor. Its likely the officer wants to make a felony arrest….Especially when firearms or domestic violence is involved. Your best course of action is name, rank, serial#…..period. The only thing you do after that is say “Am I under arrest or detainment, or am i free to go”. This forces the officer to either detain/arrest you, possibly initiating a ‘false arrest’ suit….or let you go, Remember also, it is legal for an officer or detective to LIE to you. They often will to get a confession or to get you to defend yourself by telling ‘your side of the story’, thus using your statements against you. If you choose to say nothing, and invoke your 5th amendment right….the officer or detective knows that you are smarter than most, and likely won’t pursue further. If you are arrested and mirandized……the only thing you say is “I have no statements to make and i wish to have a lawyer represent me”. GET IT.!!!!

Such a law has just passed our Hawaiian senate and is up for the House to review. It will probably pass, as this is a single party state with no regard for personal freedom. In this state all guns are required to be registered, which makes it easy for the cops to raid, kill, maim, and rob you. We have one sworn cop for every 500 people. About 25% of the people own guns, that the state knows about, there are many more the state doesn’t know about. Most people here are pretty laid back and actually like cops( I am not laid back and I don’t like cops, but tolerate them as a necessary evil). It might become interesting, as there is a lot of old style “tribal” connections here and a lot of stuff depends on who you know. Laws are just recommendations and stupid laws are just ignored.

A solid argument could be made that there really is no longer the due process of law in most of the courts taday (atleast not Constitutional legitimate due process of the law) as they have mostly been taken over by the foreign intersts of NWO cabal and are nothing more than kangaroo courts that serve only the interests of the NWO global agenda. The courts are just as corrupt as the legislative and executive branchs from local to federal in many places.

If this law passes, a completed affidavit by any family member or LEO will constitute ‘due process’. And the state courts will agree with that.

When I was a kid, Illinois was a red state. The governor you have is trying to do some
good. Trying to prioritize the spending. Problem is, the democrats never saw a social
program they didn’t like. Tax and spend is all they know. Plus they hate on anyone that
believes in traditional values. Everything with them is massive central government. They seem to think government knows whats best for everybody. The Chicago City Council
is outright communist. A cesspool of radical leftists trying to out-Commie each other.
The minority aldermen have so much hatred for anyone of European descent. They blame
the police department for every crime that happens in their communities. As if the police
whose hands are tied, are to blame for every injustice that happens. Yes, I’m hating on
Chicago for the stupidity of the citizens that will never wake up from their stupor.
All the graft and corruption. Patronage. Cronyism. Confiscatory taxation. Freedom-hating,
un-American communistic gun laws. Academic know nothing arrogant dickheads wanting
to impose their beliefs on normal hardworking blue collar people. They ruined it.

This should tell you how asinine Illinois is. Years ago, I went to a convenience store to buy a
resident fishing license. The guy behind the counter said he needed to see my drivers
license. He started hand writing my information down on his license pad. It was one of those pads where you get the cover copy( your license ), and the store keeps the carbon copy. Then he asks me for my social security number. I told him he didn’t need that. He
said it was something new they just started. This was around the time when you were just
starting to hear things in the news about identity theft. I asked him why they needed a
social security number on a fishing license. He said he didn’t know. I didn’t want some
foreigner store owner to have all of my information on his little carbon copy license pad.
I told him forget it. I walked out. I went over to the state of Illinois building on Randolph St.
in downtown Chicago and took the elevator up to the IL Dept. of Conservation. I told them
I wanted to buy a fishing license and I went thru the same thing with the person there.
She said they needed my Social Security number to give me a fishing license. I asked why
and she told me that lawmakers in Springfield passed some legislation cracking down on
” deadbeat dads “. I nearly had a hemorrhage right there. I asked her what the hell does
deadbeat dads have to do with fishing licenses! She just kind of shook her head and said
she did not know. Apparently, the jacked up politicians in Illinois associate fisherman with
deadbeat dads. I could not make this up if I wanted!!! Guess what? I never bought another
fishing license in Illinois after that. People of Illinois, push back! The city of Chicago and
Cook County is like a cancerous growth in the heart of the country. Sadly, the other five
counties around Chicago have become just like Cook County and it’s taking the entire
state down. No offense to the good folks there. That state has become a den of stupidity.

What they don’t tell the family is that with such a complaint the guns of the person isn’t the only ones to be removed. it would be all the guns from all family members they wouldn’t even need be living in the same home. the rational is they would be accessible to the person so they would be confiscated as well. what would be the next step. neighbors that enjoy friendship with the person. now they will be labels by a doctor as unstable and banned from the future purchase again any who are related would also suffer the same restriction. All this done without due process. reversing this would be costly with court costs and lawyers. the result is yet another family unable to defend itself with only the filing of a complaint. to expand on this they would now include family quarrels which the police have filed a report. even if no firearms are used the mental stability is in question so the process would be the same. in time any disturbance would be used to get your guns confiscated. how would they know you had a gun? it is registered and the list is provided to law enforcement. they pass laws that sound “reasonable” then without fanfare expand on these laws. someone prove me wrong!

However, well….let me just state this: Good luck!” You’re going to need it if you want anything from me without proper “reason.” We call it a “free” country….freedom is FREE, that’s why we call it “freedom.” If we have to fight for freedom, and the fighting never ends…then there is no freedom. But like the days of old,…will we once again be forced as our ancestors to stand our ground and defend against tyranny? Even against other Americans who would subvert freedoms…my freedom? What say ye?
How can government seize arms if those arms are used by the people to defend against that government’s attempt to violate the security of a free state?
