Editor’s Note: As you read the following detailed report from Holly Deyo of the Millennium Ark and DareToPrepare.com keep in mind that nearly twenty years ago the government and their scientific propaganda mechanism made it a point to tell Americans that the New Madrid Seismic zone was safe – that there was no threat to the population whatsoever. Now, a couple of decades on, new research proves that they clearly fabricated their results and analysis, putting millions of unassuming Americans at risk. Today, the governments of Japan and the United States are saying the same thing about the Fukushima nuclear disaster, which begs the question: How much do you trust your government? Given the details shared by Holly below, the answer should be crystal clear.

Almost two decades ago, I wrote in Dare To Prepare about dire consequences from mega-quakes in the New Madrid Seismic Zone. After Dare To Prepare’s 1st Ed. was published, scientists retracted their worries and pronounced the New Madrid area ‘dead’. It was safe. What a different tune they’re singing now.

“Previous studies have suggested that it may be shutting down, based on GPS readings that showed little strain accumulation at the surface. Other research came to the same conclusion by blaming ongoing quake activity on aftershocks from the 1800s, which would essentially relieve strain on the fault.

“The latest study suggests otherwise. Hough and USGS geophysicist Morgan Page in Pasadena, Calif., analyzed past quakes in the New Madrid region and used computer modeling to determine that the continuing tremors are not related to the big quakes two centuries ago.

” ‘Our new results tell us that something is going on there, and therefore a repeat of the 1811-1812 sequence is possible, Hough said.’ ” 1

Now, 16 years later they admit – in a 180º retraction – this whole area of the Midwest is not only active, but quakes here can have potentially catastrophic results.

Image above right: The New Madrid Seismic Zone encompasses the thicker red ring on the right. However, looking at the pattern of quakes over the past 6 months, a megaquake could also take in portions of Oklahoma and maybe Texas.

    LIES AND HALF-TRUTHS

Anyone who follows government pressers, which passes as news, knows we are at risk because of their tight lips, subterfuge, nuance and frankly stated, back-side kissing. Their urging is to conceal truth lest everyone panic. No one wants to be held accountable for killing economies (it’s better to kill people), let alone spark riots. The latest edition of Prudent Places USA shows the New Madrid quake area is a bomb waiting for its fuse to be lit.

ImageNo one should live with 200 miles either side of this fault zone including all up and down the Mississippi River from Illinois to Mississippi and from Arkansas and Missouri to Ohio and Tennessee, and regions in between(see map below).

Though these previous 5 mega-quakes damaged property and land primarily from Arkansas north into Illinois, America has built up massively and continuously over the intervening 200 years. It puts many more Americans at risk than in the early 1800’s. In the mega-quake’s aftermath, people in outlying areas will be run over by those seeking shelter and medical aid in addition to food, water and all other life-saving necessities. Sum it up in one word: pandemonium.

Denial is a comfortable pipe to smoke. We think it will never happen to us: whether it’s hurricanes, cancer, riots, tornadoes, market crashes or bone-crushing, unsurvivable weather. It’s human nature to be complacent. Yet some people have listened and moved to safer places.

Let the author state at this point, there is no safe place without Christ, yet there are more intelligent, less life-threatening places to live. God doesn’t expect us to stay stupid… especially if we have knowledge and do nothing.

ALL of our Countrymen in this beautiful Nation are being sacrificed for everything P.C. Where else are more people trying to tune in, yearning to learn, yet stymied by MSM (mum-stream media)?

    PIECING TOGETHER PUZZLE PARTS

It’s easy to forget imperative, yet quietly-stated news bulletins. It’s not your fault. Not really. There is a conscious effort of drip-drip-drip media to say it, yet not say it. News in dribs and drabs has little punch. It sticks nowhere between the ears. But once you have the seeds of knowledge, it is yours to pursue. It is incumbent on you to act, to protect you and your family. No one in mainstream wants to be accused of blowing Draino at us and scald our fear sensors unnecessarily. Media must, and does, openly support Obama and prints little information of value in order to maintain White House access.

It’s not just Obama, but it’s worse with O. This includes both Bushes, Billy Boy Clinton, and certainly the silly peanut farmer, clear back to at least Warren Harding. That was nearly 100 years ago. Whatever happened to Obama’s statement that he will have the most transparent government ever? What rubbish! Obama is interested in one thing – his legacy, which was to be ObamaCare, but even the dullest cretin can see this is a screw-up of magnificent proportions. It’s all status, recognition – and of course, a paycheck. News agencies want to be ALL THAT without exposure, without consequence, while puckering their toady lips on Obama’s backside. So they feed us pro-Obama garbage and pabulum ‘news’.

Scripture warns, you can’t have 2 feet planted in different fields. You’re either for Christ or against him. You either serve mammon (money) or God. You either serve liars, or have courage so speak truth. There is no half-pregnant scenario here. So consider where media lies.

    REMINDERS

Now flashback to vital news items from the last several years to see a disturbing picture.

Remember the extraordinary number of dead body or cremation containers stored in Atlanta? Trainloads of these were filmed. After exposure by alternative media, where did they go? Check here. In the picture below, I counted at least 6,800 containers – 5 rows, 17 high and at least 80 in each row. (I went blind at this point… <sigh>, maybe there were more. This was just one location.

Now factor in an astonishing 140 million food packets and body bags purchased by FEMA in early 2011.

Homeland Security Act of 2002 Bill HR6566 requiring FEMA to prepare for mass death is documented here.

Bullets bought by government agencies number in the hundreds of millions – no, in the Billions. FEMA, Social SecurityICE,TSAUSDANOAA, (what does food and weather have to do with this?), Dept. of Homeland Security and here and here – all jumped into the purchasing frenzy. This is nonsense.

Last year FEMA requisitioned millions of meals for areas bordering the New Madrid, where people will likely flee when there is no food, no water, no services and no help.

There is an agenda here that doesn’t bode well for Americans. The picture is unmistakable. We are being quietly led to slaughter and unless we wake from our collective deep sleep and refuse to be willing participants in our destruction.

      1. It all depends on if Yellowstone blows. That would be a real game changer. New Madrid.. a few million is my guess, with probably more killed by the gov coming to “help.”

        • I am not so sure about the actual magnitudes being in the mid to high 8 range in 1812, but even a 7.5 would feel like an 8.5 because of the density of the rock amplifiying it. The worst part of this is that the buildings were constructed more for the weather conditions than the earthquake dangers. Look at Long beach 1933 when a 10 second shaker hit at only 6.3 and magnify this about 500 times and you will get the idea of what the people in the New Madrid fault zone are facing WHEN it eventually goes.

Look at the Mid Atlantic Ridge between 14 and 20 degrees north for anything over a 6 as a possible precursor, especially over 6.5. Also look at the Caribbean plate as this went off in 1812 in Venezuela as danger to before it hits. Also tha central portion of the San Andreas as this too went off in 1812. These are three of the warnings signs to say LOOK OUT New Madrid you time of break is nearing.

          • The Good LORD sure has a lot of choices as to how he’ll let us reap what we’ve sown.

            • HAs anyone notice all of the effort has been at the other site and that SHTF has been allow to wither a little lately.

Good for the sheepie I guess. I BI could just take over so we can have fresh writing of the old same old that we have been rehashing for the last 6 months.

Day 5 and we are still here

              • what other site ? @ facebook
didnt know there was one .

                • Im jumping topics a tad. But if this radiation on the west coast is real, then why has hawaii not been hit with it or reading being taken in that area. That should be a hot zone I believe. Ant thoughts anyone on hawaii being much worse off than the west coast.

                  • There are too many maybes to spend time worrying about any particular one. I certainly wouldn’t consider moving over an earthquake PREDICTION.

I guess some people need to focus more on the gloom and doom than others. Me, I will just enjoy life as it is each day, ready and able to adjust to whatever is thrown my way.

What else can one do? Got food, got water, got protection, and got the ability to adapt to wherever I may have to consume them.

Fears about earthquakes in Tennessee? Guess I forgot to add that to my preps.

                  • Their position in the pacific is farther south closer to sub tropic zone. Basically weather north of HI goes west to east weather in HI and south the flow is east to west.

                  • For only $29.00 you can buy Holly’s CD which will tell you where you will be safe. Or you can move to South Central Colorado where she lives. 🙂

                  • The currents go up toward Alaska and down along the west coast.

              • Anyone who thinks they can predict earthquakes months in advance when there are no pre shocks is just playing games. Everything I have read about the big New Madrid quake put the blame on the earth still rising after the weight of the last ice age was removed. Who knows how many quakes there had been before that as there was no one there just fifty years before this except Indians who did not have a written language to record things and mostly did not care anyway as how much damage can a stick house or tepee suffer?. Can’t believe you people worry about this as there is absolutely nothing you can do about it that will matter except move.

            • Matthew 24:1-51

Jesus left the temple and was going away, when his disciples came to point out to him the buildings of the temple. But he answered them, “You see all these, do you not? Truly, I say to you, there will not be left here one stone upon another that will not be thrown down.” As he sat on the Mount of Olives, the disciples came to him privately, saying, “Tell us, when will these things be, and what will be the sign of your coming and of the close of the age?” And Jesus answered them, “See that no one leads you astray. For many will come in my name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and they will lead many astray.

Upon hearing about the vile immoral displays at the Grammy
awards, I believe we are on the precipice of answering for our disrespect of the word of God and most importantly, the moral decay that we are introducing our children to. The world is sick and sickening, it is hard to have hope anymore but I do keep a barrier between the evilness and my Family. I pray and I try to not worry but it is hard.

Godspeed to all who believe and live the way God intended.

            • Yep, I just hope its zombies. Or the existing demoncratic participantes.

          • I don’t argue with you; but I call BS on the article. “No one should live within 200 miles”: BULL PUCKS. That’s over 150,000 square miles of some of the best farmland in the world. Huge amounts of timber, water and evrything else. Good Lord, if we did that everywhere we could have an earthquake, or hurricane, tidal wave, volcanic eruption etc we would have a few sq miles of the Canadian Shield. It’s been 200 years. How many place can you find where NOTHING dangerous has haponed in 200 years. Anyone that thinks that fault is dead is a fool. On the other hand show me anywhere in Ca that’s guaranted deader, or Alaska,or Carolina etc, etc. Spell ck dead.

            • On a post of a few days ago I noticed comments about what people would do when their O2 absorbers ran out. It seems some people don’t know that O2 absorbers are just Iron filings and sea salt. You can make all you want with a file, a cast iron skillet and some ice melting salt. Mg and Ca, Chloride attract some water to start the rusting. Don’t use a hot grinder to make the Iron, those sparks are the Iron burning. Talk about low tech.

            • Preparation is the word here, as you can build to survive earthquakes that have some distance from the fault itself and the potential hypocenters where the earthquake waves hit the surface. I have gone right through Palmdale, San Bernadino and other places that some real estate creep has put a home right on top of the fault. This is criminal. Anyone on top of an active when it goes off is risking their life, forget about the property. There is plenty of other land that is not as dangerous as I agree with you. Placing someone’s home on an active fault might as well be a graveyard for some people when something as huge as a predictable fault such as the San Andreas goes off. The New Madrid fault as some time before it becomes as overdue as the Cascadia and San Andreas are now. Just as you don’t place a home in a known dangerous floodplain, you don;t place a home on a ticking time bomb. Even a couple of miles removed can be the difference between 200% the force of gravity and something closer to 100%.

              • How do you know the New Madrid is overdue? No one lived there who could write before the 1811 quake and all signs of earlier quakes have been erased by the weather. You keep passing yourself off as some kind of geologist with your silly references to plates and what not but basically you don’t know shit.

                • “How do you know the New Madrid is overdue? ”

Google mother fucker….do you use it?

            • Actually answering the question; Same number as if it doesn’t go. or fewer if young people die

          • Something’s up with Nevada……it’s going nuts.

          • Why on earth are there THREE thumbs down on this comment? Does that make it not so? Are you mad at B.I.? Are you afraid that talking about it will make it happen? Or are you a greedy realtor who doesn’t want bad news? We have earthquake insurance on our house in Ohio since the Anna fault runs through the pasture. I’d rather know in time and not bury my head in the sand. AND, I won’t be counting on FEMA.

            • @ Vicky. If you post a lot of comments you are bond to get people that don’t like you no matter what you write. I am just glad that I and others have the right to speak our minds as so few web sites out there have any sort of freedom left. People might think that I tried to hijack Mac’s article yesterday but this was not the case. I wanted to contribute something at least I thought was worthwhile to consider about survival. I still respect Mac because he lives by the 1st. Amendment right to free speech. We can’t all agree with each other, yet Mac allows these disagreements to come out in the open rather than fester away hidden under some political correctness banner.

I truly would rather have some lunatic like eisenkreuz talk than be censored, even when this retard called me a turd eater and a toothless red neck trailer dweller. This is because I so much am pro-Constitution. This also allows me to bring up all the past times in which he has sadi how much he hates women and how anyone over a certain age needs to die so the world can be a better place. The 1st Amendment works both ways, that is the beauty of it as the right to self defense. Now the masses want to deny us of both of this.

Anyway there are a few people still ticked off at me, that is okay, this is their right. Anyway there is much that can be done to secure your home such as child proof locks on kitchen cabinets that will help keep the dishes and other glass from flying out and causing a huge hazard after an earthquake. They cost about 75 cents to a dollar or so each. People can take and reinforce the beams in their homes with metal brackets to help these weak points from coming apart and their roof coming down on them or their foundation coming loose.

It is expensive but you can have special glass that is much more earthquake resitant put in. Plexiglass is expensive also but is not nearly as sharp as shreds of regular glass. A tie down to the hot water heater is so important. As well an earthquake wrench to turn off the gas line. Having shoes nearby is something that can save your feet from needing multiple stitches from broken glass in which I have know several people that have stepped on broken glass after an earthquake. The fact that very small number of people have died being in the open during an earthquake, as most deaths come from being hit from an object.

There is much more and can be viewed in books about earthquake preparedness. I had an excellent book I loaned out and it of course became part of the person’s library that I have not seen ever again. A search on the internet under the title of home preparedness for earthquakes will yield much information for anyone wanting to get ready for a quake.

              • A cheaper option than plexiglass is a purpose-made clear sticky plastic tape that covers all the glass in your house and retains the shards in the event of the glass shattering.

Stop using derogatory words for homosexuals and saying that all of them are pedos and Ill be nicer to you.

                • Eisen, the truth is the truth and we’re not afraid to speak the truth at this site. You’ve been coming here for a long time and don’t realize that yet? You’re more retarded than I thought.

                • The clear plastic tape over time gets a yellowish tint to it that plexiglass usually doesn’t because of the less than perfect air seal over the glass. It does work to keep glass from shattering if someone can deal with it losing its clearness over time.

If you read my comments I have said again and again that homosexuals are NOT absolutely all pedophiles. I said that some of them would never harm a child. You only see what you want to see. I said that many are and that children need to be protected from them. I am pro victim in prevention of anyone being attacked. Society is handcuffing all of us in our basic rights to defend ourselves from the criminal. I have known homosexuals that have never come on to me or would NEVER harm a child. But there are many of them that would, as public police records more than prove. Your rantings only help empower those to further erode all of our rights to defend ourselves with firearms and whom we choose to be around and have children around that COULD BE dangerous.

                  • Buy Gorilla Glass III. It is as clear as crystal and as strong as steel. 🙂

            • Because it is just guessing by someone who really does not know that much. Just story telling to get the kiddies scared around the campfire. Not one of the big quakes in calif. was predicted except that everyone knew that eventually there would be one.

          • Bi,
You are exactly wrong about the construction being for weather hazards and not earthquakes. I am from Memphis. The Mall of America, for one, is built on earthquake rockers. This has been going on for at least 50 years. I am 67 and the kind of construction was being used when I was in high school. Some older buildings were retrofitted.

          • Not quite apples and apples. The magnitude is related to the energy released. The “feel” is from the shaking that results at a specific location. How did that 9.3 2004 earthquake off the west coast of Sumatra feel to you? You didn’t feel it, even though it was quite large.

I think you are confused with what causes local amplification. It is not rock, but soft soils, like land reclamation, river deltas, etc, that are the worst. They experience liquifaction. Building directly into bedrock is better.

People also misunderstand what an epicenter is. Earthquakes in faults are not points (as is for mining and magma movement related earthquakes), but 2-D planes of movement. The energy is propagated anisotropically too.

With regards to New Madrid, well, Memphis is in the flood plane. So long, Graceland, although, it is on a small hill…

The Oklahoma faults are unrelated to New Madrid and are not capable of producing major damage. New Madrid is also unusual in that it is a failed rift valley, not a plate boundary. The many small earthquakes that OK experiences does not mean it could ever experience a large one.

        • .02. Look for the area in Atka, Alaska for activity. Whenever this place fires up, so does Yellowstone. Also any earthquake of over 7 within a few miles of the caldera in Yellowstone as something that could open things up enough to let the magma hit the surface.

          • The whole place is bulging like an over ripe boil. I think New Madrid could cause the thing to pop.

            • If the caldera starts devolping magma geysers. IMHO, she’s gonna blow. I do concede that there could be months or years of these geysers going off. I’m still heading to a store for a last run on groceries and what not.

              Better safe than sorry.

            • @ .02. Thankfully Yellowstone is on a different plane of the North American plate than the New Madrid. You can see this if you fuse together the ancient plates. The hot spot that is Yellowstone use to be in Idaho and the migration of this is disconnected to the rest of the North American plate to the east. The San Andreas that is further south actually IS connected on the southern half of the North American plate. New Madrid actually is similar looking to the San Andreas if you were to take all the loose sediment away from the New Madrid. The New Madrid is much older than the San Andreas.

Yellowstone has a volcanic set of what I call exhaust areas, this is especially so towards the Aleutian Islands, Atka, Alaska is the main one. Watch for this area to get a moderate to large earthquake and/or increase volcanic activity and Yellowstone will soon to follow with swarms of earthquakes and so bulging.

              • BI: Isn’t it possible for the San Andreas to slip sufficiently to release the pressure under Yellowstone and let its magma “drain” to the west south west and deeper into the mantle?

Visionaries who has seen the future Earth after the Changes show this area submerged where the magma “plume” has recently been revealed by scientists.

                Just asking. 🙂

            • Imagine no more Memphis and East S. Louis! Such bastions of advanced and civilized humanity, what a loss to the planet it would be.

Reminds me of ripe boils ready to pop too…

              • You hit the nail on the head. This article is just a distractor. New Madrid, Yellowstone Super volcanoes, mud slides, typhoons, forest fires, etc. There is no way to predict these events. What will lead to your demise? The thousands of Welfare goons that will go insane when those EBT cards don’t work. Remember what happened in Louisiana when they made a run of the Wal-Mart, filled carts, then left the food when the cards began to show balances? Think about it. Mankind, or rather the lack of humanity, found in sub-human, urban dwelling goons will be your adversary. Man has been fighting nature for years. What is coming will involve much more than dodging a hurricane or an earthquake that didn’t happen.

                • Realist from Texas,

The Tennessee River should slow them down and thin out the herd when these fine folks head east. Hope those bridges fall into the drink.

My humanity is intact but will end when needed,I will act with extreme prejudice and without remorse.

It will be like hanging out in road side diner in the movie Legion, I sure hope Michael shows up at my place with all that firepower!

          • Ugh! That’s scary. No volcano insurance so you’d have to run as fast as you can for some place safer, wherever that might be.

          • Where do you get this stuff? Do you just make it up? There are over a thousand measurable quakes everyday on the earth. Most do no damage and most of the big ones are total surprises. These things occur on time lines of thousands and tens of thousands of years. Want to sit around and worry about that with your speck in time seventy year life span.

        • WHEN IT Happens at least you know Uncle O did not have anything to do with it !

Been reading the book, “NSA Body of Secrets” , just amazing how much uncle has had his dirty little finger in all the “Bad stuff” going on around the world. It goes WAY back. Its not just a Democrat or Republican thing either.

          • Cousin Odinga???

        • I lived in Memphis for 18 years. Most homes are masonry or veneer masonry. Many of the buildings downtown are older concrete of unreinforced masonry (The Auto Zone headquarters was built to withstand a 7.5). Saint Luis is not much better off. They will not fare very well in anything above a 6.0. Along with the myriad of problems mentioned below it will be very ugly. One of the many reasons I left this part of the country (along with racial tension, exploding crime rate, drought, hurricanes, floods, tornados, Super cell storms, Ice storms, Dying economy and tax base, Left wing liberal politics, and so on). Braveheart… get you arss out of there ASAP.

          • Man on the inside, I don’t blame you for getting out. Yes, there’s plenty of reasons to leave, but I still have to consider how will I survive long-term. You mentioned dying economy. I’m one of those fortunate ones that has a good-paying job still and I know that it could end eventually. that job is the only thing keeping me here, otherwise I would’ve been gone long ago.

            • To 1braveheart:
If you work 40 hours each week, you probably have some time for other activities. If so, you might consider developing a “low key” business which can be run via the internet. That type business is portable; it can be moved. Thus, with some planning, you can be independent from a job.
Anyway, did anyone get rich working for someone else? Face up to it; 80% of the really rich people made it on their own. If you have at least 10 years of experience in your vocation, you can probably turn that into an independent business.
              “Hey”

        • Horseshit! Speculate away on this one. OR……..Stick to what we know….. Preparing for an emergency, any emergence and techniques towards independance. Speculating based on shitty science and guesses based on fear is ridiculous and a waste of time. 1000 years ago we thought the world was flat, imagine what we’ll learn tomorrow…… This article makes me sleeeepppyyyzzzzzzzzz

        • I’m not a gambling man and I don’t study earthquakes, but if I were to make a bet, I would bet that the next major quake in North America, would either be in California or Alaska. I would put New Madrid and Yellerstone way down on the list. We probably have a lot of other things to worry about more than New Madrid or Yellerstone. Seems like I jumped out of the frying pan into the fire. Moved from New Madrid area to Yellerstone area. Didn’t know BI when I moved, or would have been better informed. Trekker Out.

        • DK: Hey, i saw where Fuckfrance.com was
up for $ale. Used to be a Groovy site. No, Seriously…..

      2. Not sure, maybe a few thousand?

I think last time the number was 1 person if I remember right
than again..not very densely populated in 1811/12

        • Yep, an Injun fell out of a tree and hit his head on a rock.

          • injun? can you say that OUT LOUD here?.LOL

            • My Grandfather on my Moms side was half Injun. He died before I was born. I had a lot of questions for him.

      3. Wow,, 8.0-8.8
That runs a chill up my spine,
Been in a 7.0+ on the big Island in 1975, was a kid and we were camping, thought the cabin was going to fall down!

        • Hawaii might not be the best place in the world if things really start to rock and roll.

          • Yea, at some point in history all the islands tilted,,, the north shores of almost all the islands have cliffs on them, the big island and maui have them on a few sides, like stuff cracked apart and fell into the sea or jutted upwards all of a sudden like,,,
Could happen again, how the hell would anyone know!

          • No, Hawaii is far from resilient. Most all the food needs to be shipped in.

The big Island could be self staining. But the tourist business is easy and now it’s profitable. That could change, but it will take years and years to overcome agricultural neglect.

            • Kauai would be the best island to be on. Great farming land lots of flat land. The Big Island is too new and most of the area is un weathered lava. Not to mention the island is still home to two active volcanos with the area around Kileaua very active with many landslides and toxic gas/steam vents. There is a very real danger of stepping into a hole that was not there when you put your foot down.

        • @ Kulafarmer. To reach a 8.8 you have to have some deep vertical movement on top of horizontal movement, OR many hundreds of miles of horizontal movement to reach this magnitude. The largest ever recored strike slip occurred west of Indonesia last year and it was a 8.7 or 8.6 and broke which was equal to a break from Mexico to way past San Francisco in comparing the San Andreas fault system. The New Madrid MAY have some vertical deformation, but is most like the San Andreas. A break from the Gulf Coast to Illinois would produce a high 8, but it would feel like almost a 10 because of the rock mass being so cold and solid. Like hitting a big giant gong.

          • If you look at all the earthquakes in that area, You will realize that there is little strain. The problem is when the monthly small quakes stop.

            • @ ED. You are absolutely correct. Before very large earthquakes there is so much tension and stress that you will only see a very large number of microquakes, like the quivering before a branch breaks on a tree. This energy though is transferred to distant plate boundaries that show up as earthquakes. When you chart the direction of the area around the New Madrid fault out it is about a 30 degree angle. Using this angle and the curve of the planet it goes between 14 and 20 degrees on the Mid Atlantic Ridge. This is where the North American plate and the African, South American, and Asia plate are pulling apart from each other. This is why the Atlantic Ocean is getting bigger each year.

It shows how there has not been large earthquakes on the Mid Atlantic Ridge in this area of 6 degrees of latitude. When the New Madrid is ready to break you will likely see a large earthquake in this area that shows the North American plate is moving and will soon twist and cause the New Madrid to break. The Caribbean plate is a hazard to the Atlantic sea coast for medium to large tsunamis and is a stress point to the New Madrid. There was a very large earthquake a few weeks later after the New Madrid broke in Venezuela. Some estimates put this from a low of 8.2 to a high of something in the low to mid 9 range. Probably was something mid 8. It is incredible how these earthquakes have follow patterns in the past and will probably also in the future.

          • Edgar Cayce, prophet in the nineteen hundreds showed a map of the U.S. in the future and it shows the Mississippi River a small sea up to Illinois.

            • Yeah, Cayce, born in Hopkinsville, Ky. I read a few books about him. An amazing and talented man.
I’m located in southwest Ky. Ouch! 🙁
Right on the border of the big river developing IF the Madrid shakes.

          • That is right , the rock is cold and solid , I felt a 4.0 over 350 mi away in Oklahoma from one at Cape Girardeau in 2012 , I do not feel the 4.0’s happening in Oklahoma half the time. It was just a bump but I was impressed it carried that far and when reading about earthquake intervals the USGS says the New Madrid is over due for a 6.0 to 6.5 by like 20 years or more , apparently the 6.0 range happens every 80 years there.

            • @ Get an earthquake alarm. These little gems will alert someone MOST of the time to an earthquake before the destructive S waves hit a home. The P waves are moving faster and very rarely are the cause of destruction but move the place the earthquake alarm is set and it goes off. You can set these things so every truck moving by does not set it off. It would only not work if your home was right on top of a shallow earthquake where the earthquake waves hit the surface, the hypocenter. These alarms go for anywhere from $20 to $80 depending on the quality.

              • I suspect with the $30.00 alarm I have now I will get a 10 to 15 (hopefully more time) second delay before the shear wave rolls in from a quake on the New Madrid at or over 6.0 when comparing the time it took for the shear wave to arrive after I heard the 2011 5.6 quake in the distance here in OK. That took just two seconds after the audible crumbling boom from 40 mi away. A sound I had never heard before but now is unmistakeable if encountered again.

      4. I lived in an area hit by Katrina. We came out ok, well ok compared to others further south of us.

The government doing anything but making it worse is laughable.

Got ice on the ground today. We never get ice here. Getting to and from work was a very long journey today.

Currently got soup heating on the stove. I might attempt snow ice cream, seeing as how we actually got snow now.

Stay warm and away from the government.

        • Snow is probably radioactive, might want to pass on that.

        • We’re a little south of you. This afternoon everything out doors ha frozen up. We have sleet/snow on the ground too. The children have been excited to see the snow flurries. I tried not to travel too much today. I will need to go into NO in the AM. It is bitterly cold outthere. I should have picked all the lemons! Folks have hunkered down mostly. I really feel for the folks up north and them not being able to enjoy the benefits from Global Warming. Stay warm and cozy folks. Hope the pipes make through the night.

      5. None.

      6. None.

      7. Now, a couple of decades on, new research proves that they clearly fabricated their results and analysis, putting millions of unassuming Americans at risk.
        .
        .
-I’m shocked, SHOCKED I tells ya’.

      8. Memphis will be destroyed if the next big quake is even half of the one from 1811-1812. St. Louis will also receive moderate to major damage depending on the size. Folks in those areas need to get ready because Andrew, Katrina, and Sandy have shown just how ineffectual the federal government really is. It’s always been YOYO You’re On Your Own) Time but most of the American sheeple still don’t get it, so they suffer and some will die. I was fairly well prepared for Andrew but it woke me up to the fact that there’s a lot more that can and should be done. Glad I don’t live in a big city any longer.

        • Gregory8, I’m in Memphis, right in the heart of the New Madrid Zone. I do plan eventually go to a relative’s BOL in north GA. The further I can get away, the better off I’ll be. It’s always been YOYO time for me. I’ve been thru power outages, one fire, tornados, hurricanes, and I’m still alive and kicking. Surviving an earthquake would be the biggest challenge of my life, but I believe I can do it.

          • Relax Brave, Ya, it’s a big fault, and it’s impossible to believe anyone could consider it dead. But you are far more likely to get run over on your way bugging out than have it get you. Look closely at your Bugout route’s bridges, they are the weak points.

            • Paranoid, where I have to go is 300 miles from my home so it shouldn’t be so bad in that region.

            • I remember in 1989 I was at work at Libby Owens Glass plant during the earthquake. Dozens of Stiles of plate glass stacked on end weighing 10’s of tons, falling over. I was working in the “basement” about 50×150 feet under the tank where the glass floats on molten tin. The Tin and glass was slopping out the access doors. Good thing no one was in my path as I headed out of the plant to outside.

              • Dave:
                Libby Owens in Naplate?
I was working in Marseilles P.D. at the time.
                Still live in the area.
                A.S.M.S.
                Sgt.

                • Lathrop Ca.

                  • Just checking to see if you lived near by. Sorry but no.
                    Sgt.

                  • I moved out of mexifornia to Northern Idaho.a really should be devided North and south to form 2 states. Put Lodi and Sonora in the South. The north is fairly conservative. The south has pockets of conservatives. San Fransico is going to issue Clean Crack Pipes for thier druggies now.No joke, look it up.

          • If anyone can, you can. Proud of you!

        • I figure the bulk of casualties from such a major event won’t be for the “primary” event.

They will be what from what I like to call secondary causes derived from the shit initially hitting the fan. Yes, some die from the quake and crap collapsing as a direct result but many, many more will die in the fires that will follow, from carbon monoxide poisoning, dehydration, drinking tainted water, starvation, eating tainted food, disease, exposure, the violence that will follow, and hundreds more possibilities.

And then there will be what I like to refer to as tertiary fatalities, those who will die from conditions that would otherwise be easily treatable or manageable in our current normal conditions but would be much harder if not impossible to manage post-SHTF. By this I mean things like chronic conditions, a number of diseases (either making a resurgence or illnesses a quick visit to a doc and antibiotics could fix like bronchitis, or a quick surgery like appendicitis) or complications from injuries (sepsis, gangrene, thowing a clot or a fat embolism from an improperly set broken bone, etc).

      9. An earthquake in a very highly populated area would be highly destructive to the economy of the country and/or world. Toyko, LA, San Francisco, Pacific Northwest, New Madrid, and yes even New York that has a fault nearby capable of a low 7 range every couple of thousand years or so. By the way talking about the economy. Day 5 since the proposed possible beginning of the end of the economy.

        • No end to current economy. Day five will turn into day 365. Like a drunk staggering along until he falls. This is the fate of this country. BI, love you man, but no end to the economy at this point in time. Will come, but you nor I will be able to predict with the amount of specificity you are attempting.

      10. Earlier we were talking about “old timers disease”.
        CRAFT = Can’t remember a fooking thing…
        BI, Great article…
Here’s an old one for everyone, if you have seen it before, remember many have not… I might have CRAFT…

One day a farmer’s donkey fell down into a well. The animal cried piteously for hours as the farmer tried to figure out what to do. Finally he decided the animal was old, and the well needed to be covered up anyway; it just wasn’t worth it to retrieve the donkey. He invited all his neighbors to come over and help him. They all grabbed a shovel and beganto shovel dirt into the well. At first, the donkey realized what was happening and cried horribly. Then, to everyone’s amazement, he quieted down. A few shovel loads later, the farmer finally looked down the well, and was astonished at what he saw. With every shovel of dirt that hit his back, the donkey was doing something amazing. He would shake it off and take a step up. As the
farmer’s neighbors continued to shovel dirt on top of the animal, he would shake it off and take a step up. Pretty soon, everyone was amazed as the donkey stepped up over the edge of the well and trotted off!
Life is going to shovel dirt on you, all kinds of dirt. The trick to getting out of the well is to shake it off and take a step up. Each of our troubles is a stepping stone. We can get out of the deepest wells just by not stopping, never giving up! Shake it off and take a step up!
Remember the five simple rules to be happy:
        1. Free your heart from hatred.
        2. Free your mind from worries.
        3. Live simply.
        4. Give more.
        5. Expect less.

        Enough of that crap.
The donkey later came back and kicked the shit out of the farmer who tried to bury him.
Moral: When you try to cover your ass, it always comes back to get you

        • eppe – great story ! LMAO !
I knew there was a reason i didnt take the nieghbors mule the kids wanted .
Besides my wife told me she already has one ass too many .

          • Hammerhead, I just choked on a snack I was having. Man, that was good.

        • Eppe, keep that humor coming. It helps us more than you know.

        • Eppe:
You did it again another good one keep’m com’n.
          S.T.S.F.P. N.R. N.S. N.REB

        • Eppe,
Great story. Thanks! I will retell that one for sure. I also like the five secrets to happiness that you listed. How true it is!

I watched a Russian movie called Ladoga about the rescuing of orphans out of the beseiged city of Leningrad during WWII. The conditions were horrible as the Russians tried to convoy in supplies for the beleagured citizens across the frozen lake Ladoga. The Germans were doing everything they could to stop the covoys including poisoning the food. The movie is a “must watch” if you can get it. I watched in Russian. That was a true SHTF situation. There is a lot we can learn from their experience. I pray this will never occur here in the U.S. but at the rate things are going, there is a good chance it well. It would be great if DK were right and we could trust our goverment to do the right thing by it’s citizens.

      11. @eppe. If I could take life less seriously and have the sense of humor and the ability to project it so well like yorself I would not be so stressed out so much. As always a big thumbs up to you.

        • Thanks BI, it is hard to keep a good outlook on life, with sooo much going on, but I gotta try. Smokin beats me on the humor, his is original world life experiences…
I really wish everyone who comments would try to get along, would make the site better for the newbies who are really trying to learn from us old timers….
          Just saying…

          • Eppe, any efforts you make at humor are appreciated by me. I saw this same article at standeyo.com on sunday and broke down, knowing what is to come. I can only hope I die before it hits, but I doubt it. Right now it’s all I can do to keep from breaking down again. You ain’t just ‘whistling Dixie’ about it being hard to keep a good outlook on life with everything that’s happening. SOMETHING IS COMING. I can feel it and I know it ain’t gonna be anything nice.

        • Stress is a killer. Look at it this way BI, why let what you cant control control you. Everyday I wake up (at age 58) is another blessing. I have passed the stage where I know more dead people than living so everyday is a gift as far as I see it and I laugh, might drink a shot of good whiskey or 2, go for a hunt and shoot my guns ( Have a lot of ammoa and reload my own so no biggie) enjoy hanging with you guys and just relax in front of the fire. Life is good, is a free gift and to be miserable or stressed is such a waste.

          • @ 02, My opinion exactly! I have the basic preps (actually a bit more than basic) and now my wife an I are looking forward to Summer and some boating and maybe a little fishing. Lakes are only an hour away and very nice. I was fixating too much about SHTF and at age 66 I have had a good life but want to enjoy retirement a bit.
If something bad happens, Oh well, I’ll take it as it comes. God Bless, James

            • amen 02

dont let anyone rent space in your head ,like the bible says “dont let the sun set on your wrath”

        • BI, as you and many others here are aware, I’m in Memphis, right in the heart of New Madrid. I was born and raised in this area. Except for the 7 years I lived in FL, this has always been my home. I saw this article on Sunday at standeyo.com and I broke down just knowing some kind of MEGA-SHTF event/events are coming. I think I’d rather deal with anything but an earthquake. I’ve been reading your posts about New Madrid getting more active and I can’t help but think I may live to see it go after all. The inner city of Memphis is primarily made up of homes dating back before the Great Depression. the entire downtown area supposedly sits on sand. I myself live in a house that was built in the late 1940s right after WW2. it’s a safe bet a huge part of my city will be destroyed. If I’m going to experience any MEGA-SHTF event, let it be civil war, etc., ANYTHING BUT AN EARTHQUAKE. If I die before the earthquake hits, so much the better.

          • 1BH:
You will be ok, because you have the will to live…
Last week, I woke my wife up at 3am screaming at the top of my lungs, scared the poo out of her, and asked what did you dream? I could not tell her, best not to scare her too, but it was the SM earthquake. I am not a prophet, but for the last 3 months or so, I have dreamt this, and do not like the outcome. Not to scare you, but have you thought of selling and moving?

            • Eppe, the company I work for pays me $45,000.00 per year and I doubt I can find another job like that anywhere. Since I rent and have no mortgage to worry about, that part of it is no problem. Last year I looked into finding any kind of work in north GA where the family is located and no luck there. it will take MEGA-SHTF, at least the earliest signs of it, to get me over to GA. Half of my supplies are already there; I’m not keeping all my eggs in one basket. Where I have to go will take more than a tank of gas but I have gas in some extra 5-gal. cans just in case. I’ll survive, no matter what.

            • eppe:

Have you researched “3 am” re: your dreams…..seems lots of people wake up at 3 am with dreams….

              PKLauLau

          • @ braveheart. This is why I compared the New Madrid fault zone to 1933 Long Beach but 500 times worst. I have personally seen what happens to structures from a 6.1 thrust fault going off that are NOT built for earthquakes. I can’t even imagine what will happen to buildings where the ground shakes like Jello from the alluvium soil and the soli9d dense old rock below. A 6 pointer would be awful, a 7 catastrophic, and IF it reached over 8, a nightmare. All depends on how much of it breaks to determine the shake time, 2 seconds per mile of fault break. Memphis will look like it has been nuked, so will St.Louis if the majority of the New Madrid breaks. The bridges also are not fitting for violent horizontal movements. Rescue across all the waterways will be terrible at best. The ONLY good thing I can say is that the New Madrid is NOT as overdue to break as the Cascadia and the San Andreas.

            • BI, you’ve mentioned increased activity on NMF and that does give me cause for concern. If I can make to GA before something happens, so much the better. Where I have to go is 300 miles from my front door so I know I stand a better chance of survival over there. Some nights I have dreams about NMF erupting. It would be a logistical nightmare trying to get help into any part of the region. If all the bridges over the mighty Mississippi go, that really adds to the nightmare. Interstate 40, one of the main east-west routes across the US, goes thru Memphis, along with Interstate 55, one of the main north-south routes. That’s 2 bridges right here in my area. If they go, there will be a world of hurt. I have always considered it possible that NMF could erupt, causing enormous loss of life and destruction of property, maybe even killing what’s left of the economy and bringing in martial law. It COULD happen, but time will tell. In the meantime, I’m just continuing with my prepping and enjoying life as much as possible.

              • 1Brave;
I know it is a long shot but if TSHTF with a quake I along with several other family members are going south to help out family. In Tenn. and Mo. You are prepared for TSHTF, and you are smart enough to handle it.
As I see it you are my brother and I will do my best to get to Memphis. I have to go to Murfreesboro first. Just remember to say SHTF. To people and if they respond with their handle on this site you know you have found a friend.
                Sgt.

                • Howdy, Sarge, and I appreciate the offer of help, but if everything goes right, I’ll be in GA before anything happens. According to some scenarios I’ve heard outlined over the years, Memphis could end up under water. Just avoid Memphis at all costs regardless of what happens. Take care of your own. Braveheart will survive one way or another regardless of where he goes.

              • My gosh, braveheart–there are only 30% white in Memphis.
What the hell are you still doing there??

        • To all:
As you can see on CNN, Atlanta has gone thru what they are calling “Snowpocalypse”. Here is a perfect reason to have a BOB. I myself bugged out at 1:30pm, knowing what kind of people who CANNOT drive in snow here, even though most are from all parts of the world. It took me 90 minutes to travel 20 miles, usually only 40+ minutes. Now everyone is slinging blame on each other all over. It’s simple really, it boils down to this… B.M.L.O.F. “BAD MANAGEMENT, LACK OF FOCUS”. Two of my co-workers made it home okay, another we have not heard from, she might be hanging at a Home Depot or a Kroger, who knows. Again, this is just another reason to be “PREPARED” FOR anything and everything, whatever the situation. For those to see a bad show, flip on CNN and watch.
Staying warm at home, hope yall are too….

          • The snow up here is extremely wet. I was going to do some welding outside today even with the snow, but it is too wet. I just have to replace the tractor tire tube now.

UKRAINIAN GOVERNMENT GEOTRACKS EVERYONE INVOLVED WITH THESE PROTESTS BY THIER CELL PHONES. THIS EVIDENCE IS CONSIDERED ADMISSIBLE.

IF THE DIRTY SLAV MONGRELS CAN DO THIS, WHAT DO YOU THINK THE AMERICAN GOVERNMENT CAN DO?

IF YOU GO TO ANY POLITICAL ACTIVITY, LEAVE THE FUCKING ELECTRONIC DEVICES AT HOME. THEY SAY IF YOU TAKE THE BATTERY OUT OF THE CELL PHONE THEY CANT TRACK YOU, BUT I WOULDNT TRUST IT.

DURING SHTF IF THERE IS A CRACKDOWN YOU WILL HAVE TO GET RID OF ALL YOUR SHIT STUPID ELECTRONICS. HAM RADIOS CAN EASILY BE FOUND BY ADF EQUIPMENT. IN FACT, THERE ARE AMATEUR CONTESTS TO FIND HIDDEN TRANSCEIVERS. STILL, HAM IS LESS OF A PRESENCE THAN THOSE FUCKING CELL PHONES YOU IDIOTS LOVE SO MUCH.

NEW REFRIGERATORS AND WATER HEATERS HAVE TRACKING DEVICES IN THEM. ALL THE METERS ON YOUR HOUSE WILL HAVE TO BE DESTROYED IN SHTF ALSO.

        • Hi Eisen, thanks for the info – and for (most of) your regular contributions 🙂

If you could do us a favor and refrain from using all CAPS for the entirety of the post it would be much appreciated.

          Many thanks,

          Mac

          • Acknowledged.

            • eisen, I hope so for your sake.

              • You couldn’t just let it be. Had to get your in on the Big E.

I know you are stressing waiting but you did say if Mac was to handle it you would stay out of it.

E you still are an ass.

                • FBP, PLEASE get off those meds. You know good and well that eisen never contributes anything good to our discussions. Ask anyone else here if you think I’m wrong. Eisen is the biggest reason I keep Preparation H in stock. Everyone, I believe, is sick of his crap. If you want, you can conduct a survey to see how everyone feels about eisen and I’ll be glad to take part in it.

          • Mac, you go, man. sic him, sic him. We’re all sick of his crap.

            • BRAVEHEART stop acting like an ass you use to reply
with good comments on this site now it seems you just
              want to be noticed

              • Swampratt, come on, you know me better than that. eisen is the one acting like an ass and then some. I don’t care about being noticed or winning any kind of contest, etc. I’m just sick of eisen and his crap and I know everyone else is here also. Eisen is the troll, not me.

          • And please refrain from smoking Columbian Labrador before you post.

Here, somewhere along the North Coast, the kids have finally returned to school (Thursday) after 3 days cancelled due to … Winter. Too cold. When I was a kid -!

          • I skip all caps posts most of the time. Hurts my eyes.

            • Very True

          • Mac, I’ll grant that eisen did make some valid points in his post, but I have to question the source he posted the link for. That’s a radio station which is part of National Public Radio’s network, a libturd propaganda outlet which is still funded by our tax dollars to this day.

            • Its called google, gramps. Shit for brains.

              • COMRADE Eisen, you’re the one that is shit for brains and this ‘old fart’ could still kick your ass if it became necessary.

              • Google is for shit for brains and govt. informants,by their own admission, try a bit harder!

              • i find it ironic you would post about goverment tracking and then use a google search

                • Have you ever heard of VPNs you jackass?

              • No wise men use google any longer–IXQUICK.

It’s the ‘Take a deep breath. You’re safe here.’ kind of search!!!

                • To Jay Jay – Thank you for the information.
I just looked it up and read about it.
I want to put it on my computer.
Great input of information, thank you again.

                • @ Jay….I bet the folder on you is almost as thick as mine. Dont Fool yourself in thinking you can hide Anything from them. When you realize they know ALL your communications, you will be “prepared”. If you dont live where there is Stop lights, freeways and parking lots, your actions can for the most part remain your business.

          • Mac, Eisenkraut ain’t exactly one of my favorites. But if I may ask, what’s the issue with the CAPS. CAPS are bad, but profanity is OK? Trekker Out.

            • Old man, you love you some Kreuz. That wrinkled old butt is just waiting for an entry.

              • eisenturd, you come anywhere near me, you’re committing suicide. I don’t want you and I know nobody else here does either. so if you want to live, stay the f#$% away from me.

                • Hey, I might want him; sounds as if he’s prepped real good and I know he’s armed and stocked in ammo; better than the 9 idiots on my street that I’ll have to dodge WTSHTF.
Unless he has 9 kids. Then, yes, I don’t want him! 🙂

            • MT
I agree the profanity is outrages, and there is no need for it. I know he has a 1St Adm. right. I just wish he would tone it down. It is not need ed.
              Sgt.

        • Smoke signals!

          • Where?

          • Remember the Van made out of weed?.

        • eisen, what do you have against the Ukraine?

          • Hmmmmm…well I dont know…maybe something about its geographical position between Europe and Russia…something about a man with a tiny moustache and a forelock…O I cant remember.

Read a book you old wrinkleass.

        • In a shtf scenario my refrigerator and water heater will be the least of my worries along with the cell phone.

          • It depends; If you have a 10 year supply of Rocky Road it might be REAL imporant.

        • Eisen, you are right about ham operators having contests to find unlicensed operators. My sister-in-law is licensed and they do it all the time, even have a term for it, but I forgot what it is.

          • Its called a “foxhunt” or just “hidden transmitter hunt”.

          • Very sad…

        • What’s true is this became law here in 2005. Remember the cell companies wouldn’t then let you put your non-tracked pre-2005 on their networks? But what is worrying is the tracking has gone super-government. Now, everyone from your favorite search engine, to your favorite bank, to your favorite cell phone provider is tracking your every movement and purchase. These MNC’s meet sometimes to come up with info exchange deals. E.g. your search engine and cell company knows WHERE you go while the CC and Bank know WHAT you buy. So, they can MARKET to you – and more. Its sorta scary to have that much invasion of privacy on a pervasive scale.
Anything to do with NMD? Well, the justification for the 2005 law on tracking everyone WAS emergency 911 tracking of individuals! by the way, this reminds me that newer phones also have a non-disableable “message from ” various government roles. So, in a Ukraine scenario, EVERYONE with a phone will get a message on their phone telling them to stand-down or whatever.

          • Here is a novel and very heretical idea: LEAVE YOUR CELL PHONE AT HOME. I treat my cell phone as if it were a land line. I do understand that I am NOT the center of the known universe. Granted having all those super cool apps are nice to have, but a cell phone is for calling people and everthing else is a secondary consideration. So what if some one can not call you any where at any time. Leave a VM, that is what it is there for. Yes, yes I know all the excuses of for why one needs to have a cell phone with them continuously, I have heard them all before. Consider this, by leaving your cell phone at home, occasionally, you are making it harder for the .gov agencies to track you and spy upon you.

Death and eternal damnation to all tyrannts!

      13. Any changes in the Plan?

      14. While the death toll is anyone’s guess you can be sure a big quake in this region would have widespread logistical problems with cargo shipping as Fedex and UPS both have global shipping hubs in Memphis and Louisville, respectively.

      15. SOME OF YOU IDIOTS HAVE BEEN COMPLAINING LATELY THAT THE ECONOMIC COLLAPSE NEWS HAS BECOME STALE AND UNINTERESTING. AND WE NEED “MORE SCENARIOS”. OR EVEN WORSE, THAT THIS “PREPPING THING” “PHASE IN YOUR LIFE” IS OVER AND NOTHING IS REALLY GOING TO HAPPEN. HAVE YOU MORONS GONE BACK TO BEING SHEEPLE? DESPERATE FOR ENTERTAINMENT? WHAT THE FUCK DO YOU THINK THE OUTCOME IS GOING TO BE? YOU THINK THIS IS A FUCKING JOKE? USE TIME WISELY. YOU SHOULD BE THANKFUL THAT I AND OTHERS HAVE TRAINED YOUR DUMB ASS AND THAT YOURE AHEAD OF THE CURVE ON THIS ONE. EVERY TIME I LOOK AT ONE OF THEESE SPEECHES I THINK “O FUCK ME, I NEED TO STASH MORE FUEL/FOOD/AMMO.”

        • Mac kindly requested that you stop shouting at us.
I will read your posts if they are easier on the eyes.

          • I wrote the above post before I acknowledged the no caps request.

            • And that is true. How long do you thing you can last.

I mean this. Many of your rants will be read more if you just make it where we can read them without get a headache.

That includes all the fucking books some of you are writing lately

        • hey eisen , good message , but the delivery needs work.
I agree alotta folks are slowly slipping back to sleep.
Hope i am wrong , BUT , it seems we are on a very slippery slope and ridin a tobbogan downhill fast.
i am talkin about socialism , the boiling frog crap.
Before we know it all our freedoms will be regulated away. Iys happening on a daily basis .
A natural disaster would be small in comparison to the devistation of socialism .

        • Some you just cant reach,

        • @ Eisencrude. You really are acting like a total jerk. Mac asked you to please stop using capital letters, and 5 minutes later you send this eye popping set of letters. IF Mac request anything that I need to do, I will do it period.

The economy is in bad shape, but there is a lot of wiggle room. Unlike science and the planet, we have no idea what the real numbers are. These dire warning go on and on while there are plenty of other news that is just as hazardous or worse. I guess you can’t comprehend just what a poisoned Pacific Ocean means for the food supply. Guess what, there are hundreds of sea based by products that come from the ocean that you would not even recognize in canned and processed foods. Gravies and salad dressings for one thing.

You think this is a joke. Back in 2009 I watched the economy and heard all sorts of doom, and I prepared even more so as I was sure of what I heard that it was the end and the mega depression was upon us. The country continues to function, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, and now 2014. Eventually it will fail, this is for sure. You likely will not see this because some war or other true mega SHTF will hit before any of us know that the economy has failed. This is the most logical scenario. There is so much more to talk about, icluding a good healthy dose of ecominc news. The point is we need to prepare period for ANY SHTF event.

Now I want to address this issue about you. I know Dave In ID I am dumping gas on the fire. Everytime I bring up protecting children from weirdos you go nuts. There are some homosexuals that actually are sickened by their fellow gays that would ever attack a child. This doesn’t mean that queer pedophiles are not a rampant problem for kids and their parents. I looked over the number of convicted preverts and most of them are homosexuals in the local area, about 75%. Don’t tell anyone that this is not a problem, it is. I don’t know why you could ever defend this evil against the children of the world.

Then you go half cocked at everyone that disagrees with you wishing them death. You can’t even take a simple request on not using capital letters without a few minutes later sticking your middle finger up at the site. You call others all sorts of disgusting childish names like turd eater. In my opinion you need deep help and to come out of whatever closet you have locked yourself in before you act in a very dangerous manner. You choose to be a liability to everyone around you, including yourself.

          • Be ,gonna disagree completely with you, gays make up about 10% of population and that is also % number that molest children,as a victim/survivor of molestation I have studied this issue a lot.The one thing that is forefront is that most child molesters molested themselves as kids, not saying all victims molesters by any means. That said, besides shooting proven molesters(doing them a favor),work with kids while they are still young and break this evil cycle for good.

            • @ Warchild Dammit. I hate skewed averages, I looked this up and most of them, about 3/4 were homosexuals. Of course that might not be a national average, I admit this. The other reason could be that the number of people that are either homosexual or bisexual is much higher percentage because people are too embarrassed to talk about it or admit it. I just can’t stand the way the government and the MSM makes the predator criminal into the victim should someone decide to defend themselves against this evil. I am talking about all predator criminals that also rob, assault people, murder, and everything else. This is one reason I am so totally pro 2nd Amendment, the right for each person to defend themselves against this terrible plague of crime because those in most if not all governments empower the criminal.

              • Be ,as thru my posts hope you realize I have no problem with anyone shooting any offenders of anothers life/liberty/property,just shut up afterwards till lawyer-ed!I just have a personal thing against child molesters as one of their victims/survivors,want the battle were it belongs, and, hopefully, the cure to this battle so in future is no longer fought/has victims ect.

                • @ Warchild Dammit. That is why I like the people so much on this site, they have common sense and decency towards what I grew up with and has be totally deflated out of society with each new anti-Constitution creep that pops up like a noxious weed.

        • Eisen, Mac politely asked you to stop using all caps and you told him you would. Now you go back on your word to him. I don’t thin k he’s any more impressed with you than we are, which is not at all. Plus, what makes you think you trained any of us on anything? Let me tell you, mofo, I’ve already had training in survival from people who could run circles around you anytime. You’re the one who is full of shit bigtime! Any single one of us have more intelligence in our little fingers than you’ll ever have in your whole body, moron! We’re all ahead of the curve but not because of you, so go f#$% yourself!

          • His post was written prior to receiving the memo from Mac. He has since honored the request. For now.

            • Shifty, I know we haven’t heard the last of eisen. eisen will still be eisen. and we will continue to be who we are.

            • Eis did mention mac and cheese in last article posts(or lack there of!),will print out for him and all me mums recipe(kick ass meal),if it will help eis and all move on!I will say besides a glass 2 quart cooking pan all you will need is basic kitchen pots and pans, interested, let me know.

              • I tried to be nice to Eisenkreuz when he had just finished his rantings about not being allowed to use a skateboard on the sidewalk. He cursed old people as the cause. I was totally foolish for trying to be kind to this person. E. constantly hates older people. While someone like myself and almost all people on this site would gladly open the door open for an elderly person and smile and have compassion for the person that each one of us could end up one day. Esien…. on the other hand wants to knock some old person’s walker away from them because they got into his way. Anyone can access the wanton hatred for the elderly people that he spewed out when the skateboard issue was making his life “more difficult”.

This is the person that repeatedly attacked people solely on the basis that they were born a generation or two before him. I try to be fair and this character has brought up on occasion some good points, but so do some of the most psycho related people have also in this world. Just go back to about a week ago and see the rantings of a lunatic that started because someone went off their medications.

This is the person that people are dealing with, someone that would say like in comment # 2918389. “When Women were given the rights to vote the whole country to went to hell, AND the whores needs to tend to their traditional roles”. This is also hatred for women, something typical of a demented queer. This is our wives, sisters, mothers, grandmothers, granddaughters, daughters that this bizarro is talking about. That they are whores, good women that add so much to our lives. This is the person whom you choose to acknowledge with credit for anything. Someone that wants old people to die so the world is a better place, and women to be slaves and be treated the way muslims treat women, like sub humans. This is all in previous posts to view someone that needs a pychiatrist like other people need air to breathe.

Sorry for bringing this up to everyone, but everyone needs to know and remember what a lunatic this person really is.

                • BI, no need to apologize to us for anything. I can still remember what a POS eisen really is. He’s the biggest reason I keep preparation H in stock.

              • Yes, I’d love to have it. I’m still looking for mac and cheese like that made by my grandmother. I’ll try your version and will probably love it.

                • Vicky will dig the card up tonite and post it,tis a tad specific but worth it.My grandma used to make a killer tuna casserole. After she died had a dream about a year later us in her old home and she making it for me,was so damn real a dream really wonder if I passed thru boundries of time/space ect.Anyhow, will pop it up tonite as soon gotta go do a gig, just getting the morning coffee going ect.

              • Hey Warchild,

don’t waste your time with the recipes…
The Mac and cheese post by young Eisen was a direct smack at Mac and had nothing to do with food except his twisted sense of humor…IE, food for thought…it was a cheap shot but then again it WAS young eisen…

                fwiw

                • I told you before I did not write anything about macaroni and cheese that was an imposter posing with my screen name. Knowing me, why would I write something about food? O, how about: Eat shit, troll.

          • Tell him Cuz, down here in Georgia we know all about survival. We been trained by the best. Ain’t none of these fools seen Deliverance! Me, Braveheart and the rest of the clan was trained by Burt Reynolds. So don’t mess with Cuz Braveheart, you hear Eisenkrews, cause 1braveheart will make you squeal like a pig. Right Cuz?

            • I would like that. He seems like he needs some release.

            • NGIC, who yanked your chain?

              • Cuz you tell old Eisenkrews, don’t mess with the braveheart. Cuz remember our family reunion, when you told me you’d bet Eisenkrews had some mighty pretty lips?

        • I personally love the long slow economic collapse. It’s not easy to get a table at a restaurant, many nice deals. If you do have a nice job….life is a bit easier as business struggle to stay open.

          • Which brings up a topic some here have questioned.
We went to a restaurant Sunday(our bi-quarterly treat), and it was packed.
Who’d know the unemployed numbers are high?
            Are they all on unemployment??
            Credit cards??
I just told Gene, maybe they are doing what we are doing—having a day out to eat once in a blue moon?

            • No economic collapse I can see. Nobody wants to work. If anything, things are super-heated as people and government spend much if not most of their money on non-essentials. I’d like to think otherwise but stock market is at all-time high. And good luck trying to find ANYONE willing to work. Only people who want to work either want to be paid under the table or want 6 figures.

            • You went on Sunday after Church. Go on thursday.

      16. We know it is going to happen but no one knows how big it will be. The only thing I can tell my family that lives in the area effected is to prepare, for the worst and hope for the best.
The area I’m looking to relocate to is about 250 to 300 miles east of the Fault line.
What I’m worried about is the response by the Feds.
They could use this for all kinds of reason to make life more miserable for all of us.
My prepping is for all types of problems coming down the road.
        A.S.M.S.
        Sgt.

        • You wanna talk about problems, my mommy may be selling our house and she won’t tell me where she’s going! Will anybody here adopt me ? My only other option is move to Frisco and sell myself on the street.

          • Stop using my screen name you immature troll asshole

            • How’s that possible when we are one in the same?

              • This stuff is starting to get pretty funny.

                • LOL…..again….you go girl/guy….whoever!

                  Funny stuff!

                  PKLL

              • Eisen, there’s one thing you don’t have to worry about. Nobody here wants your sorry communist ass, go to the bank on it.

              • E I have a spare house for you.

Rent will be a Stand up Honest debate.

                • FBP, if you’re joking on that one, OK. If not, then I know you’ve lost it.

              • well i guess if some one is using your handle , that only mac would be privy to the info ,and if infact they are ,i think he should ban them ,if no one is using it ,you need to sit Eve Black down and have a talk with her (im sure no one will get that last part unless your as old as me)

          • Go to Frisco, there’s plenty of freaks that will take you.

          • Eisenkrews, if thing don’t work out for you in Frisco, you can always get a job in a circumcision factory, they pay 100 skins a week and a chance to get a head.WASP

            • I thought it was a chance to give a head.

            • my grandfather always told me that they used foreskins to make new state troopers ,so im bettin there in high demand right now

            • chewing gum for eisen

            • when I was a younger man i worked in a hospital doing cicumcisions …i saved all of them and made a wallet out of them…and all i had to do was RUB it, and it turned into a SUITCASE!

          • what happenned? mom and uncle-daddy splitting up? hope you can find an internet connection…you would be missed

            • buttcrack, eisen won’t be missed around here. his absence would be a blessing.

        • Sarge-

I agree, the govt-goons will surely make life difficult for everybody…but what concerns me most, is being down wind of any nuke plant, located close to the fault, that goes critical after the principal quake subsides!!!

          • Hunter where I live in Central Ill I have a Nuke plant about 7 miles away. I’m up wind of it but I’m still in the danger zone. My bug out area is about 35 miles away also up wind of it. So I’m in pretty good shape.
You are right Nuke plants will cause a problem so I would look for them also chemical plants or plants that make plastic. They can let off all sorts of BAD S(*T. A.S.M.S.
            Sgt.

        • Sarg I would look at getting west of the Mississippi and better yet west of the Missouri river. We are located along a river that historically was a mile wide and 2 inches deep. 3 to 6 feet to dig a well.

The quake will not cause more damage than some of the big hurricanes. There will be more deaths because you just won’t have the 7-10 day notice 2 get out of the way. Yes, the Mississippi may flow backwards for a couple of weeks, but it will not split the country in 2. I don’t see why this quake would be the end of the world or should there be more violence/looting then after a hurricane. Would I want to be living in St. Louis? No. I travel there frequently for business and would not want to live there without the fault. It has plenty of other faults.

Would you like to get in on the ground floor of a new business with me selling padded rooms?

          • Shootit
I own 100 Ac. about 150/175 miles west of the Fault line. Nothing on it but a cabin and trees that I log.
The old court house in Doniphan held up the last time it went and think it will be damage but reparable.
            A.S.M.S.
            Sgt.

            • Nothing like having your own ground. You will just have to log all the trees that could fall on your cabin. 😉

We are about 800 miles SE of Yellowstone, 125 miles W of the nearest Nuclear Power Plant, and 70 miles from the nearest town over 25,000. I wouldn’t know where I would rather be. We could move north, but the growing season is shortened. We could go west, but then you run into lack of water and all the folks from Denver or we could go south and run into more people. I think that you are better off hanging tough with your friends, family, and neighbors. Strangers stick out like a sore thumb in our hood and could be dealt with accordingly.

One other thought about staying in your hood even if it is prone to earth quakes. Find a lot on high flat ground and build a new house with earth quakes in mind.

      17. Called in another coyote yesterday but couldn’t get a shot as he was beating a retreat when I spotted him. He must of come up a draw to the right of the caller and then realized it was a fake and split into the woods. Need to break down and buy a mojo critter I suppose. Still no bobcats and haven’t tried the new 50 grain TNT round on fur destruction. Will keep y’all updated as I am going out this evening for a walkabout and do some calling out in the fields around here.

        • Wanna have some fun? Take an owl decoy, put treble hooks in the ears, put out in a food plot, start owl calling. The first crow that swoops in, gets caught on the hook. He raises hell and a murder of crows come to help… More fun than can be imagined, just watching all those crows try to help thier mate…
I know it seems mean and cruel, but I cannot tell you how many times crows tell on me when hunting…

          • Take a 12 gauge and murder the ones that come to help

          • Eh,love crows and ravens also. You really want to have fun,put a fake owl and snake on roof where wood peckers attack home, the plastic owl and rubber snake fighting scare the hell out of em!

          • We have loads of blackbirds coming in and getting all the bird feed and leaving none for the birds we want to watch.

Our neighbor calls them “welfare birds.”

            • Eh,my mom calls em winged rats!We suffer to a degree at her home from morning doves, that said, plenty of blue jays/cat birds/cardinals/finches ect. that get their fair share by shouldering their way in,entertaining to watch.

            • Really. I wonder why.

        • Hmmm…,I like coyotes and the occasional coy/wolfs I see.Folks used to say was either high or escaped pets(wolves not great pets unless a wolf and part of a pack!)but now even the state clowns admit we have coy/wolves.I do not raise animals so have no battle with em,they keep the smaller rodents in check and balance out the big picture,so,some will hunt em and some will protect em,guess all balances out in the big picture, way it was meant to be.

          • Warchild, there was a special on tv this week about coy/wolves. They claim they are mostly in the NE around the Canadian border, but are spreading out.

            • We have em and in my opinion had em in New England forever.I do agree with one state guy who said part was (pet wolves)set free but for most part had em forever, just a part of the cycle and personally love em and wolves but then again not raising livestock so each has their own point of view.

              • Warchild, the tv show said that at least one third of the wolves in the lower part of Canada they were talking about were mixed with coyotes.

                • Cool,as I said,no problem with em,and hey,it hits the fan having critters clean the corpses will help against secondary plague ect.

                  • coyotes carry the plague now. Rabies, heart worms, lyme, ticks, fleas, distemper, and a host of other problems.

          • Wildlife experts say that there are no panthers in eastern NC, but I saw one crossing a road one night in rural Craven County. He bounded across the road only touching the centerline. He was a huge tan cat with a long tail and had to be a panther.

            • Though I do not doubt what you saw once again wonder if so called(pets) that were released, hope not.My mom grew up with a family next door that had a mountain lion as a cat!Name was Ciski and when my mom petted it said felt like a large engine rumbling, was cat purring.I feel confident though posters here may help wild animals we all realize they do not make great pets, that said, occasionally it does seem to work out for all involved.

            • Archivist they said there was none in MO. either, but there was one hit and killed by a car in KC and I know of another one that was killed in NorthCentral MO. by the Amish. The Amish have a big drive to kill off all the predator’s on their farms and they shot a cougar. So you never no what’s out there. Now in Wy. it’s a different story, we know what’s out there. Walk softly and carry a big gun. Trekker Out.

              • MT, we had one that got shot by Chicago police in the city. On the northside.

                • Did they mistake it for a dog? ha ha ha.(not directed at you Dale)

              • Relax Treck, We got the last liberal within 60 miles a few weeks ago. Just waved an Obama Phone in the air and he came right to us.

                • Phew, Thanks Paranoid, now I feel safer. All them 4 legged predators you know what to expect. But them Liberals don’t hibernate and they will even try and come into your house and get you. I’ve even heard of them attacking people in their cars. Is that liberals, or am I thinking of someone else, I guess they’re all the same. Trekker Out

                  • Attacking people in their cars? That wouldnt work up here as it is Legal to carry a Loaded gun in your car. .429 260grain @ 1300fps would prevent that.

                  • Dave in Id. What in the world are you carrying that Shoots that? .45 Auto is only 230 gr @ 825, Odd Noeven fo 44 mag.

                  • Ruger Super blackhawk. 44 mag. I reload. Prefer hardcast flatpoint. goes through 7 inches of DF and still retains 95+ weight. Thats my field gun (when Im in the field or hiking). In town I carry a kimber custom shop 45 acp. 225 grain hp. 7.2 grains unique 940fps.

              • Hell, when hiking will carry a big stick but also a few bells, really do not want to creep up on cubs/kittens ect.I am glad to be a noisy traveler of the trail, odds are will not do well against a full size cat/bear/wolf ect.,love to see em from a distance though.

                • Warchild you know what they say about those little bells. You can tell Grizzly scat from black bear scat, cause Grizzly scat has little bells in it. Trekker Out.

                  • A hiking bell or a chainsaw in the woods is like a Dinner bell around November.

                • You know how to identify grizzly scat? You look for the little bells…..

              • MTldera?
I’ve been to wy. Do you live near the yellowstone caldera?

                • dub, lets just say if it goes, I won’t suffer. Trekker Out. Prepped But Not For That!

                • Get real; If it’s a big one I live a five hour drive away and it would still get me. THE BIG ONE would likely get most of the people on earth. 72,000 years ago the last big one in Indonesia got something like 99% plus of everyone on earth. EH So what.

          • Take ’em all. Please. They have destroyed almost every species of ground-nesting bird in my area. Grouse, quail, pheasant, all gone. I do wish they’d eat woodchucks, but noooo. Predation on pets, yesssss. Out west my friends have to guard birthing cows and sheep with rifles, when they haven’t managed to pick them up and move them indoors. Yeah, they eat mice and voles, but not enough of them to make a difference. The voles still over-run my garden every year.

      18. Hurry up and wait. Just like being in the army and the army of concerned citizens.

        • Poor ole Mike spends alota time crying.Might want to take a break b/4 he blows a 50 amp braker.

      19. I looked at the map and I live about 300 miles north east of the fault. I bet I will get a wake up call when it starts to go.
This is one of those things that will not or can not be stopped. We will have to deal with happens.
There will be a lot of death and damage and I’ll just about bet that we will stand alone with a help from Canada and maybe 1 or 2 more countries.
This is why you have to prepare. when she goes it will shut down all most all traffic from east to west most of the bridges across the Mississippi will fail (railroad and car/truck). Plus if the bridge collapes in to the Mississippi river it will stop barge traffic also.
So just another thing to think about when it comes to prepping.
Don’t lose sleep over something that you can not control but get try to be ready for it. Just keep prepping and buying stuff that you need plus the more money you spend
helps the economy stay together a llittle longer.

        • I agree. But you probably won’t get hit directly. The side effects of the aftermath will affect us in N.Illinois.

          • MAUDY:
I don’t know if you know this but all major highways in Illinois, like 55, 57, 80, 39, 74, 88, 70, 64 that have cities with hospitals near them. Those cities will evacuation areas, The state will close the high ways down and they will be used for emergency use only. Were I work is right on I55 and we are one of those cities that will be put under the emergency evacuation plan, that means it will be a very, very long days at work. The high school and grade schools will be used as shelters and we will have large tents put up in our property around the hospital.
So you are right we will fell some of the shaking and may have a little damage, but we will get the aftermath.

You know what I mean Dave?
But that was funny, I can laugh at myself, even though many cannot….

Who died and made you king? The only thing you do is leave a smartass comment in response to everything some people post. Where are your great intellectual musings, you little punk?

            • You call braveheart a smart ass, WTF. How many past posts by you have you gone insane and called people disgusting names? Talk about calling the bottom of the kettle black. You have attacked everyone on this site, even the super nice people that have never said anything to anyone. You have driven good people away from the site because of your boiling hate that is more than evident in your comments. You really must be having a bad closet issue. Don’t add being a hypocrite to your already long list of crazed rantings that anyone can look back at over the course of way over a year on article after article to prove what you are.

        “These Tragedies are Divinely Sent”

Oy, Vey … Got in Himmel … Got in Himmel …. What is going to be? What is going to be? Tragedy on tragedy on tragedy … tragedies hitting the young and the weak, the old and the infirmed, and just the average Yid.

Oy, Oy, Oy, what more can I say? What more can I say? How can I beg you Am Yisroel? How can I beg you, to do Teshuva? You think you’re so Frum. Some Yidden are Frum, but the ones that consider themselves Erlich, Erliche Yidden, not all of you are Frum. Maybe you keep Shabbos the way you’re supposed to, that’s also not so sure. Maybe you keep Kosher the way you’re supposed to, that’s also not absolute. But you’re not Frum, you think you’re Frum, but you’re not. I’m not speaking to those that are really trying hard to go back to the Emes. Go back to the way it once was in Europe, and in the lands of the Arabs where Jews were very ostracized and they had their own Kehillas not with any influence of the Goyim. And the Yidden in Europe that lived in the Shtettels and that held on to their Rebbes, to the Rabbonim who were greats, were giants, I’m not talking about them. They’re almost extinct today. I’m talking about the regular Yid, the average Yid, the average Yid is what’s going to save Am Yisroel, because he’s never been average. He’s always been much bigger than average, much greater than average. Because a Yid anyway is greater than any other type of human being.

But now my dear Yidden my fellow Yidden, please, please listen again to me. You’re going to see even more tragedies than we’ve seen this week. Irrational unfathomable things have happened and will happen in the future, Hashem Yishmor. Thousands of people, tens of thousands, millions of people have had professionals come to their homes to pesticide the house with all kinds of chemicals in order to get rid of unwanted bugs and rodents. No one died from it. It’s never been in any newspaper that anyone ever died from it. How could it be that these children and the parents are so sick from this? How could it be that some of them have already died from this, Hashem Yishmor? How could it be? Years and years people are using gas for heating, for cooking, for whatever you want. Yes here and there we heard of one of those gas canisters blowing up, but nothing much ever happened. How could it be that now a whole family was wiped out after the technician came and checked it and found nothing wrong? How could it be? Obviously all these tragedies that we’ve been seeing lately, and I only named two, are divinely sent.

We’re seeing so many strange things in this world, from tsunamis to tornadoes to storms to hurricanes, but all of these natural disasters are way beyond the norm. It is way, way beyond anything we’ve ever known, and the world is in shock from it, but not in enough shock from it. The Yidden, we Jews are seeing one tragedy after another, whether in America or Eretz Yisroel or wherever in the world, we’re seeing tremendous tragedies one after another. Many of the ones hurt are children. Many are women just after having given birth, and still we don’t pay attention. We just shrug it off as one of those things. Of course the world is getting a message from Shomayim, when every day we see more and more bloody, cruel wars all over the world, and violent riots plague many cities of the world. Every day we see the slaughter of men, women, and children, especially the children’s bodies piled up from being gassed. Being gassed? Remind you of something? They piled up the bodies of the women and the children so you could see the terrible, terrible violence, the terrible, terrible cruelty of those fighting in Syria. Nobody knows for sure who did it, whether it’s the rebels or the government because they’re all violent, cruel, animalistic people. Its regular practice for them to chop off the heads of their enemies. Is this not animalistic? Is this not wild and cruel? We would expect it from the most primitive people in the worst jungle, but it’s our neighbors. It’s our neighbors and our cousins, our cousins from our uncle Yishmael.

G-d is making the world so much more terrifying than it ever was. We thought that the holocaust was the most terrifying thing that could have been, however we see a holocaust every single day in the world. Every single day we’re suffering from large holocausts and smaller holocausts, but the violence is unbelievable, and still people are running, or should I say flying to Switzerland, to all different places in Europe to enjoy their vacations. Here in Israel when the first of July comes, that means the first day of their vacations, half the country goes flying overseas to America, Australia, India, Thailand, and of course Europe etc. because the Jews just can’t stay in one place. They have to be going and going and going, and for what? For entertainment? To see what? They travel to see another museum, another historical spot and of course to shop. I can understand the Chilonim whose heads are not full of anything too serious, usually, partaking in such superficial activity. But the Chareidim? What does it give you? What is it giving you? It’s not Tzniusdik to run around all of these places for no reason at all, except to enjoy yourself. And how many Chareidim are pulled by all the different attractions of these places even though the tour is totally Frum? How many women go skiing? Many! Many so-called Frum boys don’t want a girl that doesn’t know how to ski.

OY … OY … OY … Well I’m telling you straight that if you don’t change there’s going to be more and more tragedies, Hashem Yishmor, more and more hardships, Hashem Yishmor, and in the end only those Jews that get the message straight, and really change their ways are going to greet Moshiach Tzidkainu. You are getting clear warnings! Warnings that touch the heart and the soul and should also bring down that terrible Gashmiusdik facade that is the Mechitzah between us and Hakodosh Boruch Hu. Once that facade has crumbled then we can come very close to Hakodosh Boruch Hu and assure ourselves that we can enter the Olam Habah of Moshiach Tzidkainu. All those that reach this great spiritual height (which is in the grasp of every true Jew) of understanding and closeness to Hashem, and change by doing complete Teshuva, then the most glorious future is waiting for you, but if you don’t change and do complete Teshuva, then hell or Gehenom is paradise next to what you’re going to get.

The great Chupa has been built and the Chosson, Hakodosh Boruch Hu is already standing under it and waiting anxiously for his Kallah, Am Yisroel.

Who will it affect? All of us.

        When? Anytime.

        Be safe everyone………

      29. In St. Louis and Memphis expect huge fires eating big sections of the cities after a huge quake. I believe that’s what killed most people in the Big San Francisco qauke in 1906. Transportaion will be near impossible as most if not all bridges over the Mississippi will go down. Many major pipelines transit that area also. If the bridges go, they will also block river traffic. Rail lines will be down for a long time. The country will be cut in half. Insurance companies will go belly up.

        • Ugh…I work in Missouri, live in Illinois. Guess I should consider a wet suit for my get home bag. Either that or an inflatable boat.

          • Isn’t it a tad humid there in the summer?

            • Haha just a tad. But still better than the humidity in Florida in the summer.

          • Check out routes from work to home using the ferries. At Winfield and Golden Eagle to cross the Mississippi and Grafton and Kampsville, to cross the Illinois. There are more that run in the summer. Probably not the easiest or quickest way, but better than taking a chance on riding a bridge down.

        • with the morons we got on the roads now, ALL roads will be blocked if trying to get out of town…. by GAWKERS looking at the fires.

There is little evidence to suggest a big one is imminent, only that it is possible, yet the author states that no one should live within 200 miles of the Madrid fault line. Really? No one?

Bringing Christ into it is just dumb.

The author then throws in some jabs at….Democrats??

What does that have to do with earthquakes in the midwest?

The author badmouths “O”, “Billy Boy Clinton”, and the “silly peanut farmer”, but doesn’t use any derogatory name calling for the father/son team of morons that bookended the Clinton era of relative peace and prosperity with recessions, bad stock markets, unnecessary wars, and just generally embarassing us in front of the world. And,Oh yes… the biggest attack on US civilians EVER.

But what does that compare to….MONICA LEWINSKY!!!!!

      32. We have very regular tremors here in Western North Carolina, and I remember them from when I lived in southwest Oklahoma, but the thought of an 8.0> is mortifying! The earth below your feet would be like loose jello shook hard in a bowl.
The complete shutdown of east/west interstate commerce via the trucking industry and rail freight, due to destroyed highways and bridges, would bring the entire country to its knees.

Don’t know what your skillset is but there are more employment opportunities in WNC than North GA, and it’s an easy drive on newly expanded hwy 441 through Franklin. Would be easy to shoot back and forth between Asheville and N. Ga to see family and maintain your BOL.

I got a feeling that when it goes down, these mountains will end up a safe haven for freedom loving people.

God bless ya…keep your powder dry. mtnboy

        • wncm, thanks for the info. I’ve looked at some real estate in your region online. I’ll probably be stuck having to rent something over there since I’ve been turned down for a mortgage previously. I will keep it in mind.

          • Bravehart- The further away from Asheville the cheaper the rentals. The county of Henderson is alot like when I was growing up in Michigan. We have chickens and a garden but still close enough to others for company.

            • I’m a 8th generation Asheville native(my, aren’t we rare!) but now live between Fletcher and Mills River in North Henderson County. Love it here. Real Estate is pricey but rental pricing isn’t too bad. Close enough to A’ville and Hendersonville for amenities but can easily bug out into Pisgah National Forest(I’m talking deep and steep sticks!)if need be.

      35. Good points THE. I have great dislike for Democrats, but I have similar dislike for Republicans, too. Clinton did have the war on Serbia. Lots of people forget that one. We must all strive to get past the Dem and Repub thing. It’s a game “they” play at our expense.

        • may i suggest the “pitchforks and torches” party?

        • Maudy,
During that war, I was talking to a Serbian on a ship to whom I had given a Serbo-Croatian Bible. He told me how Serbian men had saved 502 Allied pilots who had been shot down by German anti-aircraft guns returning from sorties over Serbian territory. They ran to the pilots and hid them, risking their own lives.

He also told me how the Croatians had caved in to the Nazis and even tried to out-do the SS with their own Ustasa.

He wondered why America under Clinton was attacking a Christian nation while making it easier for the Albanian moslems to lob rockets into their country.

We see, to this day, Serbian Churches defaced and burned to the ground by moslems. Same goes for Egypt and any other country wherein the moslems get a toe-hold.

      41. Decided to listen to the head liar in chief on the boob tube. After 20 minutes I had to turn it off. Statements were unemployment is lower than recent years, climate change is a fact and immigration reform must be addressed this year. Also, the manufacturing economy is growing and in the future America will lead the world in new jobs. The gallery of compliant buffoons applauded with his majestys slighest utterance. What a great country.

        • will somebody PLEASE explain to me how UNemployment can be at a several year LOW…while the EMPLOYED number of americans is at a MULTI-YEAR LOW? really, serious question barry….SERIOUSLY! if there IS intelligent LIFE out there in the MEDIA, will someone PLEASE ask that question of HIS immense-nous?

      42. Braveheart, and all others, here is my analysis.

I hope I am wrong, but follow my reasoning and the dots I am connecting.

For the sake of the next 3 minutes, just suspend all belief and read through, thanks!

        ok.

        1. The New Madrid Fault Line has been acting up, that is nothing new.

        2. But Christ, for many years, has warned John Leary [www.johnleary.com] that the One World people (the NWO) want to use the HAARP machine on the New Madrid Fault Line to wreak havoc, cause countless deaths, and literally split the country in two so they can bring about Martial Law!

        3. Therefore, we’d have to research which websites TRACK Haarp activity daily.

        4. So therefore, WHEN such a site INDICATES such haarp activity AND that activity in the atmosphere is over your area, Braveheart, or over ANY part of that long New Madrid Fault Line, THEN it will be time for you to head to Georgia (and others to leave) AS SOON AS POSSIBLE!

        Why?

        5. Because their goal is death, destruction, control, and doing ANYthing to reduce the 7.5 billion population to 500 million.

        Now for the Grand Finale.

And again, I hope I am wrong.

        a- More Snow and bitter bitter cold weather is devouring a lot of areas of our country and that is stressing out many many people in various and obvious ways;

        b- The evil doers might use the Super Bowl [which has been alluded to as the sight of a terror event in one movie years ago and more recently in the 3rd Batman movie] to kill more people;

c- While all our eyes are transfixed on the boob tube, other unforeseen stuff just might happen simultaneously!! such as soldiers arriving to wipe out us here at this shtf blogsite, the Haarp device activating the New Madrid Fault Line, and more.

Remember, them killing us (in whatever way, such as flouride in our water, gmo foods all around, chemtrails, etc.) is THEIR entertainment.

I am only suggesting they will deliver a JOLT to us, to STUN us, and all at ONCE, while others are watching their TVs like they did back in Sept. of 2001 saying , “oh my god, oh my god,” etc.”

Now maybe nothing is going to happen at all this weekend.

But SOMEthing is gonna happen, if not THEN, then some OTHER time.

Stay safe, Braveheart, watch your six, but also everything else.

And that goes for all of yas along that New Madrid Fault Line.

Ok, our 3 minutes is up. Thanks for putting up with me.

        • Ok, it’s now official: http://www.beforeitsnews.com NOW has an article dated Jan 28th that shows scientifically that Haarp IS now being used to Cause ALL this coldness that is hurting and killing people!

Just like a story has a beginning, a middle, and an end, so too look at it this way which I admit is oversimplified, but take a look:

The beginning: all this cold and snowy weather
The middle: SuperBowl Sunday + using Haarp to activate the New Madrid Fault Line
The in-between period: martial law, the declaration of the antichrist, famine, world war III
The end: the Second Coming of Jesus Christ

          http://www.johnleary.com

          • @ Lone Ranger. HAARP doesn’t have the massive amount of energy necessary to trigger an earthquake, even one ready to break. People don’t understand the scope of just how much mass needs to be put under stress for it to break. If you are about 6 feet tall on a flat surface you can see the horizon, minus any refractive issues for about 3 miles because the planet is curved. the formula for this is 1.22 times the square root of your heighth in feet to get how far you can see. To see 200 miles of land you have to be up about 27,000 feet, to see 300 miles of land to the horizon you have to be up 61,000 feet. This is how much land on a two dimensional plane you can see this far up, add in vertical of usually about 10 miles down and you are talking enormous mass. This is all affected by thousands of miles of plates interacting.

HAARP cannot generate that much energy with all the power of the planet’s power plants to give it enough juice to move that much mass. Even a highly concentrated beam would not move hundreds of miles of rock on a flat plane, much, much less on a three dimensional plane. You are being taken in by something that is not real in science. Not even the Moon with its tidal force can cause an earthquake to go off if the fault is not ready. Any talk about HAARP causing a massive earthquake is as much of a fairy tale as The Canary Islands causing a 300 foot tall tsunami on the Atlantic U.S. coastline, it is horse crap that is not even good science fiction it is so unbelievable.

            • Be Informed, with Respect to you, let me tell you why I disagree.

a- From the research I have done on HAARP, I believe you misunderstand its true capabilities and what it has already done.

b- The story of 1/28/14 on http://www.beforeitsnews.com I referred to has a lot of good background information.

c- When I first heard what I am about to share with you, I said WTF!!?? But here goes. I know someone who met an Air Force person who quit his work on Haarp because his conscience was bothering him. One of the things this man told the person I know that as far back as 1964, Haarp had the capabiliy back THEN of tuning in to any person’s brain wave and causing them to feel any type of emotion they wanted that person to feel.

Personally, while I have heard of psychotronic warfare, and know a little bit about it, I am STILL trying to wrap my head around THAT one!

Now they “chip” people and control them that way. The naval yard shooter in September said he heard voices, and I could go on. These people where chipped with the Mark of the Beast, now mandated within 36-months by obamacare, and these chips disable free will.

d- With respect to whatever your own personal religious beliefs are, I choose to believe the inner locutions John Leary has received from Christ and when He keeps telling him about HAARP, I trust that, especially when Christ told Mr. Leary that Hurricane Sandy was done by HAARP and I said WTF! and I researched it and found out from the rebel scientists on the web whose instruments showed the atmospheric anomalies that indicate HAARP is activated.

A lot of what you post here I like. But we must never ever underestimate the devil’s power to deceive, and also his ability to con human beings into doing his dirty work for him.

Long ago, whoever said, “Truth is stranger than fiction”, hit the nail on the nail.

            • @ The Lone Ranger. By the way I do think you are a good person, anyone giving praise to God is all right in my book. I just wanted to point out there is a lot of National Inquirer junk science and pure crap science floating around out there that sounds good, but upon any examination does not work. Remember you are not only asking some device to move thousands of cubic miles of rock mass, but you are also asking that device to unlock millions of cubic miles of rock that is holding this fault in place in regards to the New Madrid fault. Very seldom do these articles ever address volume because the numbers don’t add up, it conveniently is left out. Tesla science is real, yet even he admitted that such energy weapons were localized, not on some mass scale as altering the course of crustal plates that are deep and thousands of miles wide and long.

              • Be Informed:

Respectfully, go to dutchsinse.com or his u-tube. TPTB can alter the weather and cause earthquakes.

        • It’s a start.

          • LMFAO, maudy. thanks!

        • Possibly identified as potential whistleblowers ???

      50. Before worrying about New Madrid, I’m honestly more worried about an impending collapse. Otherwise, would these bankers jump to their deaths during what was considered a “bonus week”?

      51. 30+% real unemployment and 50 million Americans on food stamps and supposedly the unemployment rate is under 7% ? Well in my county there are homeless begging people on many intersections . That’s hard to see ! ,But I guess we’ll just keep taking this shit till we’re all in the same boat . How sad !

      52. The issue about an earthquake is really the time factor in which it lasts. Earthquake buildings in California can last can last for about 2 minutes before failure as they have not been constructed, because of money factors, to last much longer. No one considers a 3 minute shaker as likely, yet this is exactly what it would be with a break from Salton Sea to Parkfield. The New Madrid buildings could not take 30 seconds of intense shaking amplified by the hard dense rock below it. The New Madrid will probably shake for 1 and 1/2 minutes to 2 minutes, maybe longer should the break continue to the ancient fused boundaries. This is more than enough to wallop the area. Then because the fault is so “jagged” and not uniformed well, like back in 1812, a same size or larger quake will probably follow. This is like finishing off an area.

I would not worry as much about the modern buildings as they have some engineering techniques built into them that might keep them up. It is the scores of older buildings, even homes that are the problem. Nothing with stand that is directly on the fault. I have seen solid bedrock crack and rupture from earthquakes and it makes someone really start to think just how much tremendous power the planet has to split rock like it was plywood.

The talk of Yellowstone is something else many don’t realize what 1000 cubic miles of ash means. This is not like ash from wood burnings, this is pulverized rocks that when breathed in will act like cement in someone’s air ways. Within 500 miles of such an eruption they are talking about feet in ash. Even 2000 miles away up to 2 niches of ash can be expected. one inch of ash will collapse a house roof. You should see just how ash scratches car windshields after Mt. St. Helens blew as a minor problem.

Unlike a nuclear winter in which a limited amount of nuclear weapons blow debris into the air only to a certain distance. A super volcano can blow ash 40 miles or more into the atmosphere. This not only blocks out the Sun and cools everything about 20-30F on an average, it can cause the air to rain down nitrous oxide, in other words acid rain on crops around the world. The main killer will be the lack on sunlight that plants on land and in the ocean need. Then there is damage to the ozone layer, just like after asteroid impacts in the past have done. After the Sun comes out there will be increased UV rays and even cosmic rays from space. This is why supervolcanoes are akin to mass extinctions of life forms on the Earth in the past.

Supervolcanoes normally build over time and don’t suddenly erupt. It should take several weeks to months, so people can evacuate. The problem is if an earthquake of other event suddenly opens a fissure wide enough to start the magma flowing to the surface. With this there is not much time to get out of Dodge. This is why I said to watch out should you have a large nearby earthquake to the Yellowstone caldera. In 1959 that 7.3 on August 18 could have been the catalyst and had people terrified it was going to cause such a rupture. I think if it had not been 15 km deep and more shallow it could have cause an eruption. Now if such a quake occurred this close to Yellowstone I would be watching the thing for weeks after this because it is probably weaker now than back in 1959 as indicated from the bulging and that the geysers are not erupting as regular as back 55 years ago.

Mother nature is awesome, and planning for some of these natural disasters can be the ONLY way someone has a chance of surviving it.

      53. The American people are going to eat it all up like apple pie.

Big set up for WOMEN to Elect Hillary.

        Immigration? Forgot to include Extraterrestrials.
New IRA. Tell me is it protected from confiscation?

Would you like Ice Cream with that Pie?

      54. Barak said he is issuing an exec. order to raise min. wage. Mean while small businesses are being required to provide health insurance.

      55. The New IRA is for buying Treasuries. The IRA “could” be switched over at a later date to a regular IRA. Maybe. First the IRA will be voluntary. Then as the world stops buying Treasuries, it may become “mandatory” to have an IRA with Treasuries. I read this before the State of the Union.

      56. Here’s an earthquake for you. Immigration reform. Right. 20 million illegals will get legal status. But it doesn’t stop there. Then they can legally bring in their extended families. And this is the good part, all of the elderly and sick family members get SSI, Medicaid, EBT cards and housing assistence after a 90 day wait. The average migrant brings in 4 relatives. That’s an additional 80 million more poor people. If that ain’t an earthquake I’ll kiss your ass.

        • Now THAT is a relevant comment, Maudy. To make sure that the meatpackers (no, not that kind) and the “hospitality industry” gets lots of cheap labor, they’ll destroy the country. Hey what do they care? They’re the elite. They can get extra groundskeepers and housemaids out of it, too.

        • Its part of the plan. The UN NWO & agenda 21 plan. The plan is to destroy the USA and turn it into just another third world nation. The economy will never rebound in most of our lifetimes. All those additional 80 million are potential voters. and they will certainly vote for the candidate who promises them the most from the public coffers. Can you say Hillary in 2016?

          • That is spot on. 1/2 the population is full on Democrap, 1/4 is RINO loving, 1/4 is like me = Hillary win. And no I will no longer vote for a RINO. Both sides suck and America is going down. Might as well go to the shitter with a Democrat at the wheel.

      57. Please visit HER and her husband’s web site….is the correct grammar to be used.

      58. The END is truly at hand.
I know I to am sick of doom and gloom, but I just don’t see anything positive in the near future.
Just remember you are on your own! It’s your life– Make it count.

      59. Already seeing people all over the internet talking about how they can’t wait to vote for Hillary in 2016. Seriously, it’s hopeless folks!

        • Some people talk about a zombie apocalypse. I thinks its already here you would have to be brain dead to vote for her.

      60. I’m in the 3rd ring out for the damage zone. There is little to no thought about it among most in my area. At the very least, I could strap my water heater to the wall. Other than that, I’ve engaged routine prepper supplies.

      61. Stranded, motorists spend nights on freeways

        http://www.wcti12.com/news/national-news/stranded-motorists-spend-nights-on-freeways-in-south/-/13530322/24172034/-/8viw1g/-/index.html

“”I’m eight months pregnant and have my 3-year-old with me,” Atlanta-area resident Katie Norman Horne said on “SnowedOutAtlanta,” a Facebook page set up to help stranded motorists.

“We’ve been in the car for over 12 hours. We are fine on gas but is anyone near on the road and might happen to have any food or some water?”

If you fail to plan, you plan to fail

at some point Darwin is gonna drain yer gene pool !

      62. My security site warned me of a ‘THREAT” on the burning platform site.

We all know the risk living in this country. The CANARY ISLANDS to the east coast, Madrid fault down the Mississippi river, California on west coast and then there is OTHER PROBLEM, OBAMA. Only one that can be removed.

      63. Right now I’m watching FOX news on the snow that the south east got yesterday. I can’t believe what I’m seeing! Those states declared an emergency?! The news anchor is standing beside a road sign that says Rt. 85 Montgomery/Atlanta and there is BARELY a dusting of snow and it’s an EMERGENCY?! WTF? I saw about an inch of snow on the ground where 5th grade students were “stranded” in school and were reading on the floor in front of plate glass windows and there wasn’t much snow on the ground. Now they just showed “stranded” drivers on the highway and and you can still see the road…only a little snow on the road by us Northern’s standards. What a joke! I think the media is trying to pump us into fear mode because it makes no sense otherwise. Anyway, watch Brain Games on Nat Geo if you can. I just watched an episode last night on how our brains react to fear and stress. They used the kids game Concentration as the test. 1st test people had to put the pieces that fit into proper slots with a heckler standing beside them telling them how stupid they are. They failed. On the 2nd test they had the same heckler tell them how good they were doing and encouraged them…the testers succeeded most of the 2nd test. THAT my friends is the answer…ENCOURAGE each other and the rest of the bullcrap won’t be so bad…we will probably win! Don’t pay attention to the hecklers that discourage or are condensending to you!

        • In the south, we are not experienced with this type of weather. People down here don’t know how to drive on ice and snow. Please don’t laugh when we are trying to save lives. The last time we had a little snow was 1989.

        • I’m glad you have a magic car that can get traction on slick ice. I don’t. I tried driving in snow back in the 1970s and had little traction because of the ice. I was sitting at a stop light, and the car just slid sideways to the curb. How prepared for snow can you be when you average seeing measurable snow only every 10 years on average? I’ve only seen 5 really big snow storms in my 60+ years.

          • You get out of the car and put the chains or cables on the drive wheels. If you have front wheel drive it will be even better as the cables will help steer straight and have drive traction. Sometimes I have to chain up all wheels as I dont have lockers or posi traction on my 4×4 when I plow the snow.

            • Chains are illegal here. And buying snow tires would be silly since it might be 5 or 6 years before they would be needed again.

              • Nobody has played in the mud or driven on sand dunes?

They buy 4×4 trucks and never taken them off road. Some trucks are worth more than my home.

Ever spun a differential tooth broke an axel or dropped a driveshaft?

              • Chains are Illegal? Cables too? WTF. How bout Farting? Im going to jail…just had chili beans.

      64. first of all living in an affected area with as you so put it “with barely a dusting of snow”. That’s not snow. it is ice under that snow.

Secondly, here in the south we don’t typically get snow so they do not have snow plows like you folks up north do.

Third folks are literally stranded on the interstates, have a little damn compassion if your Grinch size heart is capable of it.

And finally, yesterday we had numerous fatalities due to wrecks and a good portion of those were 18 wheelers jack knifing on the highways.

So yeah we are sort of hosed right now. Grow up and develop empathy and think about the fact that down here in Dixie we normally have winter lows only in the 30s so 10 degrees with windchill down into the low digits or below zero is not normal and we do not have the infrastructure to deal with it. Much how since you want to be crass, we laugh our asses off at you all up north complaining and dying in 100 degree heat. That is normal for us here.

        • To waterislife – You are right. The south is not set up
to handle severe, harsh, frigid winter temperatures.
My heart and prayers go out to all who reside there.
It is shortsighted and insensitive to criticize those living in the South, with the current dangerous freezing conditions they are currently enduring.

          • Gwyn and Waterislife, AMEN to your comments. People who have never been to the South at any time of the year have no idea what it’s like. They get their ideas of the south as propaganda and secondhand information from the MSM, Hollywood, etc. Oh well; stupid yankee is as a stupid yankee does.

            • I’ve been to most parts east of the US. I also didn’t call anybody any names here. So to you folks speaking in a condescending tone I’ll just have you know that you show your true colors. I would just like to add to the people of the south that were not prepared…don’t you have local weather channels and predicters? I believe this was predicted in advance. Preparedness is about taking as much information as you can and using that information to prepare accordingly NO MATTER where you live. I find more particular offense @waterislife for the statement to: “grow up and develop empathy”. You don’t me, I don’t know you but if you were in trouble and I had the chance to help you can be damned sure I would. Please think before you type.

              • Npgh.

Doesn’t matter which part of the country you come from. The fact is, “People Are Damn Crazy”. They do things, we would not do. Drive like hell in pouring down rain or fog. Go out in sub zero temps for Beer and smokes. Traverse high flowing water. Get stuck in snow, mud and sand. Have no water, provision or Spare Tire, knowing full well they may get in trouble.

When a person puts himself in a dangerous situation without considering the consequences, to himself or others, he does not deserve sympathy.

        • Vile.

“have the infrastructure to deal with it. Much how since you want to be crass, we laugh our asses off at you all up north complaining and dying in 100 degree heat. That is normal for us here.

Really? I hope you are not a representative of all Southerns. I have met quite a few in my lifetime and they would never speak with the venom that is coming from you.

      65. Half the comments on these posts are from preppers who dont have enough sense to spend their time to their advantage. Instead of being productive and doing something useful they waste time here arguing w/ idiots who aint gonna change anything. Its not just distracting but its becoming a waste of time to even read comments. If this is how preppers manage their time and activities, will it change after a shit style event or will it be more of the same in yelling contests? bitching people out online has never changed anyones mind or behavior. Take that anger and do something useful.

        • Those of us that are screaming can afford to waste time because we were prepped up years ago.

          • Dude you spend way too much time on your ass online. My bet is your a fat slob alone and mooching off the govt or your momma. if your serious its a lifestyle not a shopping list but its your choice.

      66. Off Topic Question. I am doing some research on gas storage. How long have you guys stored gas for and was it still good. I see people saying that it will only store for a year with stabilizer added and if it has ethanol in it that it will only store for a few months.
        Thanks for any sujestions

        • They say gasoline goes bad because lighter components evaporate over time. I have a generator I bought in 1996 after Hurricane Bertha. I filled the tank up then. I have never needed to use the generator, but I crank it up every month or so to make sure it still works. I have never put more gas in the tank. So I’m using 18-year-old gas with no obvious problems. The generator still looks brand new, cranks on the first or second pull of the rope, and sounds fine as it runs. It’s a Honda, by the way.

Maybe the same gas would ruin an automobile engine. I would use the Stabil for long-term storage, but I wouldn’t worry about gasoline that’s going to be used in less than a year.

      67. @ Eisenkreuz. IT IS NOTHING ABOUT WHAT YOU SAY ABOUT SURVIVAL ADVICE, which is little and nothing. It is your lunatic rantings about how much you hate women, hate older people, hate everything that is what is incredible. The rational thought process is gone with your comments. This is why I have suggested to anyone to go back into the achives and see some of this as proof of a psychopath at the keyboard. It is not about me either, you have called scores of people disgusting names like that mentality of someone in junior high school would do on many occasions.

I actually take much vadility in someone that was homeless about living on their wits for survival. If this is the case with you, then you sure have not added much at all about those experiences. You instead are more concerned about whether you are allowed to skateboard on the sidewalk. Not meaning anything to you that some elderly or handicapped person could be paralyzed should you run into them at any velocity. That doesn’t matter, only your selfish wants matter as is totally shown in your comments that anyone can go back and view in much volume.

You say you have a lot of information in your comments. Most of these are opinions, and crazed ones at that. All people see is that you hate women, hate anyone that might suggest that some homosexuals are deviant pedophiles, hate anyone that has an opinion differing from yours, and you desire an entire mass of people death based on their age. All there for anyone to read, comments that no one else made other than by eisenkreuz. This is someone that many see as some closet homo that is fighting themselves along with everything else and needs deep mental help before they become another statistic of the disaster that is the mental help system of the country and the world.

You are either being laughed at hysterically as a total fool jester that is visualized as a flaming clost queer having severe identity problems. A dangerous psychopath ready to join the ranks of the nuts like the West Viginia, Aurora, Colorado, Sandy Hook or many of the other massacres. A puffed out bully that enjoys attacking people and calling them childish names because it gives you some superiority rise in your otherwise pathetic life. Or a very sad and pathetic person that is crying out for help that needs to be locked up before they hurt themselves and many others because they just have no concept of what is real and what is not real. What a terrible image any of these are for someone that COULD contribute something to the site.

        • I provided most of my serious commentary long before you ever got here. I totally changed the prepping mindset of a lot of people who were delusional about what SHTF actually is. I dont have much else to say besides commenting on current events.

      68. I reside about 200 miles due west of the New Madrid in the arkansas Ozarks . I think the whole delta from southern ill to the gulf is a dangerous place. the land is sediment and would liquefy during a big quake. the whole area was a swamp until the levees ditches & canals where built to control the water. It could revert to swamp in a instant. Im of the opinion that the san andreas & Cascadia will happen before the New Madrid. Im of the opinion we are undergoing an end of an age pole shift. I don’t know if the axis will shift. However the magnetic poles the last few years are shifting & wandering by miles instead of inches. You don’t necessarily need to be a certified loonie wearing a tin foil hat to believe something is up with the planet.

        • @ old guy. ANY foundation will buckle with a violent enough shaking that is not secured to some solid rock mass when the soil becomes like a wet Jello. During the past New Madrid earthquake of 1812 the sand actually squirted out water like someone grabbing a wet sponge, there are called sand spits. The Mississippi is so old, with hundreds of oxbow lakes where the water has basically become stagnant, that the flatness will lead to all sorts of flooding to areas when the levess are destroyed. The californian central valley is similar with the levee systems and in deep peril with earthquakes in wetter years out there. On top of fires, water will be a huge problem for many if the New Madrid goes off with the same magnitude as 200 years ago.

        • old guy-

You are correct about the liquefaction- many areas subsided during the big quakes in 1811-1812. You are also correct about the Earths magnetic field weakening- this is well documented and the data easily located in official reports if one cares to look. Pole shift- Correct again, to an extent. Magnetic north has been shifting an drifting towards Siberia for quite awhile now and the Earth’s magnetic field has weakened by almost 15% in the past few hundred years alone.

The big problem with a pole shift is whether it is a gradual, slow magnetic shift or a fast, physical violent one. History shows over 170 pole reversals on Earth in the past 172 million years. They have dated and recorded this via iron deposits trapped in lava. The big issue with a fast, physical pole shift is that of inertia- A body in motion tends to stay in motion- especially water. As the shift occurred, you would have horrific tsunamis all over the world as the Earth physically shifts but the water sloshes across the land masses.

Another problem with the weakening of Earth’s magnetic field is that of our magnetosphere surrounding the planet…it protects us from the solar wind and UV outbursts from the Sun. When the magnetic field goes, so do we.

Life on this planet is truly a series of miracles. It’s truly a miracle we are still here. Be thankful for every day!

      69. Why aren’t you approving my comment? I speak the truth.

      70. Coast to Coast last evening. This may shed some light on the brutal weather by speaker and author David Sereda.
He believes the weakening of the earths magnetic field , and, the magnetic field shifting, are creating these bad weather patterns.

        http://view.email.premierenetworks.com/?j=febd17737c6d0574&m=fe9815707266067477&ls=fe2c167677630278741072&l=ff231c747d6c&s=fe591178706c057c771c&jb=ffcf14&ju=fe871174716c0d7973&r=0

It was an interesting show listening to Mr. David Sereda.

      71. FWIW,

        1. Back in the early 1990s before CGI had evolved into the video art form it has now, there was a major earthquake disaster movie made about “the big one” hitting Los Angeles. Originally, the producers wanted to set the movie in Memphis but said that at the time (ominously) they couldn’t replicate the destruction that would happen there with a severe New Madrid quake, so bad were the predictions.

        2. One thing that will be significantly hurt is rail traffic. It may be that three separate Mississippi crossing are destroyed: the multiple bridges at St. Louis (junction of 5 Class I railroads); the Thebes bridge south of Cape Girardeau (handles Union Pacific traffic between Chicago/St. Louis/Indianapolis and Texas/Louisiana) and the Frisco/Harahan bridges at Memphis (junction of 5 Class I railroads). There may not be a railroad bridge standing and/or structurally sound between Louisiana, MO and Vicksburg, MS.

      72. Whenever the 7.5 or 8.1 hits the New Madrid again the US (if still in existence) will probably go to defense condition 1. That would be a great opportunity for an invasion.

      73. “How Many Will Die in the New Madrid Earthquake?”

Ok, first I have to contend with the false assumption bedrock magnifies an earthquake’s intensity or otherwise damage. The damage is magnified by rock that is readily water saturated based on its permeability and porosity; this is because during earthquakes; the ground acts like a liquid and magnifies the earthquake’s destruction otherwise measured in intensity.
Bedrock routinely ranges in intensity between I-IV even by a nearby 6.0+ ML or MW earthquake. MW is moment magnitude that is used to differentiate large earthquake force and more accurate over 600 miles compared to ML classical Richter methodology. Additionally, MW makes the San Fran quake a 7.7 rather than a ML 8.3. MW replaced ML for 6.5+ earthquakes, and it took nearly 2 decades to change the magnitudes in present studies.

Then, it depends on Love or Rayleigh waves. These are the side to side and up and down waves the ground mimics after an earthquake.

New Madrid’s most dangerous threats result from no real preparations for an earthquake; it’s mostly patch and pray. Despite that, the majority of deaths from the earthquake are the major cities within the radius of the fault line due to masonry buildings with virtually no real protection from an earthquake.
The real danger is if the Mississippi River reverses stream again followed by after shocks. This is because flood plains, farmland, and areas prune to be impoverished tend to sit upon readily water saturated areas. If it floods, the ground will act like a liquid during an earthquake or aftershock amplifying the destructive force of the earthquake and aftershock.
I would hazard a guess of a million dead and injured due to the earthquake and its after shocks along with its effects. Naturally, the government’s actions will kill more due to the disruption of food, water, and heated/cooled shelter.

      74. Is there a fault line under Washington D.C.? I’d pay to watch that thing go off 🙂

        • There is. One actually destabilized the Washington Monument a few years back.

There’s is also either an incredibly slow for tectonic standard or extinct transform boundary along with an considered extinct fault line like the San Andreas. It extends along the east coast.

      75. The. New. Madrid. Earthquake. Is. The. 2004. Tsunami

      76. I am. Sorry. But. The. New. Madrid. Fault. Line. Turns. Me. On. I. Love. The. New. Madrid. Fault. Line. Forever. And. Ever
