In the years 2006 and 2007, the underlying stability of the global economy and the U.S. credit base in particular was experiencing intense scrutiny by alternative economic analysts. The mortgage-driven Xanadu that was the late 1990s and early 2000s seemed just too good to be true. Many of us pointed out that such a system, based on dubious debt instruments animated by the central banking voodoo of arbitrary fractional reserve lending and fiat cash creation, could not possibly survive for very long. A crash was coming, it was coming soon, and most of our society was either too stupid to recognize the problem or too frightened to accept the reality they knew was just over the horizon.
The Federal Reserve had cheated America out of an economic reset that was desperately needed. The 1980s had brought us utter destruction disguised as “globalization.” Our industrial center, the very heart of the American middle class that generated enormous wealth and decades of opportunity, had been dismantled and shipped overseas to the lowest bidder. It was then that the U.S. economy actually died; we just couldn’t see it. From that point forward, Americans were fully dependent on the charity of central bank money creation and international bank lending standards. The collapse that should have occurred in the 80s was delayed and thus made more volatile as the Fed artificially lowered interest rates and allowed trillions upon trillions of dollars in dubious loans to be generated. Free money abounded, and average citizens were suckered royally. Their greed was used against them, as they collateralized homes they could not afford to buy more crap they didn’t need. Of course, you know the rest of the story…
Today, credit markets remain frozen. Lending is nowhere near the levels reached in 2006. The housing market is showing signs of life; but that’s only because most home purchases are being made by banks, not regular people, for pennies on the dollar, as bankrupt properties are then reissued on the market for rent rather than for sale. If you are lucky, maybe one day you’ll get to borrow the keys to the house you used to own. And, millions of higher-paying full-time jobs have been lost and then replaced with lower-paying part-time-wage slavery positions. The image of American prosperity carries on, but it is nothing but a cruel farce; and anyone with any sense should question how long this false image can be given life before the truth dawns.
The novice will question why it is necessary to re-examine all of this information. Is it not widely known? Am I not simply preaching to the choir a message heard over and over again since the crash of 2008? Maybe – or maybe it is time for us to finally apply some foresight given our knowledge of the recent past.
Why did 2008 creep up on so many people? Weren’t there plenty of economists out there “preaching to the choir” at that time? Weren’t there plenty of signals? Weren’t there plenty of practical conclusions being made about the future? And yet, the world was left stunned.
The truth is, human beings have a nasty habit of ignoring the cold hard facts of the present in the hopes of using apathy as a magical elixir for future prosperity. They want to believe that disaster is a mindset, that it is a boogeyman under their bed that can be defeated through blind optimism. They refuse to accept that disaster is a tangible inevitability of life that pays no heed to our naïve, happy-go-lucky attitudes. The American people allowed themselves to be caught off guard in 2008, just as they are setting themselves up to be caught off guard again today.
Again, the reality is clear; the Federal Reserve has propped up equities and bonds using money created out of thin air — so much so that both markets have become totally reliant and disturbingly addicted to fiat injections. The distribution of this fiat threatens the continued dominance of the dollar as the world reserve currency and will invariably lead to currency collapse and hyperstagflation. This process is much more likely to climax in the near term given the accelerated rate of quantitiative easing within our system to date and the accelerated rate at which our primary lenders (namely China) are dumping the dollar in bilateral trade with each other. The endgame is obvious, but I still fear millions of people within this country and around the world will be shell-shocked once again by a renewed crash.
The argument is always the same: “Yeah, things might get dicey, but it won’t be as bad as all the doom-mongers claim, and probably not for many years.”
Similar statements were made by naysayers before the Great Depression and before the 2008 crash. So why are the skeptics wrong again this time around?
The Stimulus Fantasy
Let’s put this in the simplest terms possible: Stimulus is now the lifeblood of our economy. There is nothing else sustaining our nation. Period. Stimulus in the form of bailouts and QE are keeping the stock market and bonds afloat. This means that the continued existence of equities, and the continued existence of healthy treasuries, and thus the foundation of our currency, our general economy, and a functioning (or barely functioning) government, is completely dependent on the Fed continuing to print.
In recent weeks, the Fed hinted at possible intentions reduce or remove stimulus measures, which would effectively shut down the life-support machine and let the patient drown in his own fluids.

Day traders and common investors are not very bright, but they do understand well that no stimulus means no stock market and no bond market. In response, indexes have become erratic, shifting on the slightest rumor that the central bank might continue QE for a little longer. Pathetically, the Dow Jones now rallies upward whenever bad financial news hits the wire, as insane investment groups pour in money in the hopes that dismal economic developments might cause the Fed to extend the bailout bonanza.
In our modern nightmare era of hyper-centralized economy, one word or rumor from Ben Bernanke now determines whether stocks dramatically rise or fall. This is NOT the behavior of a healthy and vibrant fiscal system.
The anatomy of American finance and trade has been horribly mutilated; and clearly, such a monstrous creation cannot last. Stocks are supposed to perform based on the true profitability of individual businesses as well as the political and social health of the overall culture. The wild printing of paper money by private banking magnates is not a catalyst for a successful economy. Whether the Fed actually ends QE is ultimately irrelevant. No fiscal structure can survive when it abandons fundamentals for fantasy. Either QE continues, becoming less and less effective in staving off negative results in equities, inspiring a flight from the dollar leading to a crash, or QE ends, exposing the inevitability of negative results in equities, leading to a crash. If the Fed ends stimulus, the process of collapse will merely take place slightly faster than if stimulus remains.
But every historic economic crisis has a defining moment, a moment in which the tide turned overwhelmingly sour for a majority of the public. The question now becomes what, exactly, will trigger the avalanche?
Precious Metals Signal Secret Shift To Asia
As I have discussed in numerous articles over the years, China’s shift away from the U.S. consumer and the U.S. dollar is well under way. Over half of the world’s major economies now have bilateral trade agreements in place which remove the dollar as the world reserve currency in trade with China and the ASEAN economic bloc. China is issuing trillions in Yuan and Yuan denominated bonds around the globe, setting the stage for a higher Yuan valuation and allowing Chinese consumer markets to replace American consumer markets as the number one driver of manufacturing in export countries. At the same time, China has increased its purchases of precious metals exponentially to the point that the nation is now set to become the largest holder of gold and silver in the world in the next two years. This is clearly in preparation for a currency crisis event…
The buying spree in Asia seems to directly contradict the “paper market” value of metals in recent weeks. Demand for gold and silver has only increased throughout most of the world, even in light of Federal Reserve suggestions that QE might end. Manipulations within metals markets by the CME and JP Morgan explain half the story, but there may be another issue at work.
It is very possible that the COMEX is now essentially broken, and that gold and silver ETF’s (paper gold and silver) are decoupling from the street value of physical metals during the last gasp of a failing system. In the near term, I believe that premiums on physical coins and bars will skyrocket, even as the official market prices of those metals is held down. At the same time, China, Russia, and other countries heavily invested in gold may break from Western COMEX valuations completely using their own metals markets to establish their own prices.
As the dollar loses its world reserve status, the countries holding the most physical gold in their coffers stand to weather the storm most effectively, and because U.S. gold stores have never been officially audited, we have no idea if America has any reserve whatsoever.
Crushing Energy Prices Coming Soon?
While China continues a careful strategy of decoupling from the dollar and the U.S. consumer through bilateral agreements and trading blocks, another issue is arising: the issue of energy. I would like to note that despite globally diminishing oil demand caused by the 2008 credit collapse, gas prices have experienced little to no deflation. I would also like to note that after the Federal Reserve hinted at shutting down QE, oil was one of the few commodities that continued to rise.

This has not been caused by a lack of supply, as many American-based companies ramp up production. (I am aware of all the arguments behind peak oil. As soon as a peak oil proponent can show me an example of oil demand not being met because of a legitimate lack of supply, then I’ll be happy to consider that peak oil is the main cause of price increases.)
The fact is current regressive global demand and ample supply should have led to lower gas prices, not higher. If speculation was the cause, then price shifts within the oil market should have been far more volatile, with increases lasting weeks or perhaps months, but certainly not years. The only plausible explanation for this kind of commodity activity is a weakening of the currency it is directly tied to. The petrodollar is slowly but surely coming to an end.
I believe the next market exodus may be triggered by the weakening effects of stimulus (or the removal of stimulus altogether) along with extreme energy prices cause by steady inflation and a global political crisis in the near future.
China, being strangely and consistently prophetic when it comes to economic calamity, has recently established an astonishing oil trade deal with Russia, which plans to supply China with an alternative petroleum source for the next 25 years. (This news went almost completely unnoticed by the mainstream media.)

Now, keep in mind that in 2010, China and Russia signed an agreement completely removing the U.S. dollar in bilateral trade. The dollar has been the world reserve and the only currency used to purchase petroleum for decades. The Russia/China oil deal changes everything. It sets a trend toward the removal of the petrodollar function of the Greenback which ultimately destroys any credibility the currency has left. This news flies in the face of dollar proponents who consistently claim that the dollar’s ties to oil make it invincible. Apparently, there are some weaknesses in the armor.
Ongoing social unrest in Egypt has also made oil markets jumpy, being that the Suez Canal oversees the transfer of a significant portion of the world’s oil shipping. Clearly, there are two opposing factions within the country vying for power, and regardless of who is best suited to U.S. interests, the Egyptian people overall have no love for the West. There is a distinct chance of a shooting war, similar to Syria, in the coming months in Egypt.

Syria remains an explosive trigger point for regional war which will, in the end, draw in Iran and result in the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, which annually handles the shipping of about 20 percent of the world’s oil. All trends point toward higher gas prices over the horizon, and the U.S. economy is barely able to survive on the cost of energy we have today.
So Close They Can’t See It
Reduced stimulus combined with adversely high oils prices may very well be the tumbling boulders that bring down the mountain. We are close now. Beyond the undeniable economic factors, the very fabric of American government is crumbling. Corruption is openly rampant. Scandals are exposed daily. The establishment leadership is unapologetic and grows even more despotic with each truth that escapes into the open air. They are becoming MORE bold, not less bold, and those of us who seek transparency in all things, from politics, to economics, to surveillance, are being attacked as the source of the problem rather than the solution.
Collapse, from a historical perspective, seems to occur when the searchlights of the individual mind are dimmest, when the threat is the greatest, and when we are most comfortable in our ignorance. In 2008, the U.S. public was mostly oblivious to the danger, and they were painfully stung. Today, I hope that the liberty movement, the alternative media, and alternative economic analysts have created a window of opportunity by which millions of people can this time see the writing on the wall and prepare accordingly. At this point, there is no question that Americans have been warned. Whether or not they pay heed, is out of our hands.

The stock market will not go down so long as a place is needed to put Bernankes counterfeit money to hide the hyperinflation of the currency that has ALREADY occurred.
It will continue to rise as the hyperinflation long underway and continuing becomes price hyperinflation on the street, currently being hidden through deceptive marketing practices, in effort to keep the sheep from recognizing what has been done to them.

QE is not “stimulus”. It doesn’t stimulate anything. It is the constant bailout of the banks that has continued unabated since 2008/2009.
It is designed to absorb the bad mortgages and other toxic securities as the banks deleverage, to mitigate the losses of the banks which would otherwise be insolvent as their liquidity ratios are breached when those assets are marked to market.
It enriches the Uber Rich: who are the global investors and managers of financial institutions through higher stock prices as their warrants and options become more valuable. It represents a transfer of wealth from the American taxpayer to the Uber Rich.

The financial/political system, we are now seeing with more clarity, is creating “slush” fund after “slush” fund, to funnel $$$ into the pockets of the wealthy and their liberal/progressive supporters.
A whole lot of those liberal/progressives are standing on the conservative platform with a wheelbarrow sitting underneath collecting the cash as the “machine” we know as Washington politics keeps piling it on.
I believe the recent removal of Federal Funds for the extensions of Unemployment benefits here in N Carolina, is just a “test tube” for the country as a whole. With the cuts in “social programs”, and people becoming desperate, the crime rates will go up and eventually lead to blood in the streets and possibly civil war.
We haven’t even gone one month since the benefits/payments have been cut out, and now we are seeing more thefts and other crimes. It has gotten so bad in some areas that the thiefs are walking around at night and walking off with push mowers/weed whackers and anything else that isn’t bolted down.
The transfer of wealth “game” is hitting middle class Americans from both ends. That is the “end game”, to destroy the middle class, and then there is only wealthy/elites, and poor/worker bees/scavengers. A few smart and secretive folks will fly under the radar and survive just fine without taking handouts or stealing. There numbers will be relatively few when compared to the masses though.
The upper middle class will be hit the hardest, i think. When the “collapse” hits and their wealth is reduced to pennies on the dollar, most will go looney tunes. Suicides will skyrocket, as their new vehicles are towed away and their quarter to half million $ homes/houses are emptied. We are on the threshold of the leading events taking place. With all the increased taxes and insurance costs on everything, the expense will soon begin to outrun the income on anyone bringing less than $60k in the door annually. It will become impossible to maintain a moderate sized household/property and live the comfy lifestyles most Americans have become accustomed to.
It is happening like piece-work. A piece of the big pie, one bite at a time. Soon there is no pie left to eat from. It has all been “hoarded” away by the wealthy.
We all know what comes next!

Yesterday I went to a used/new truck sales website. For the First time in Years, vehicles priced in Canadian dollars, and shown in US dollar conversion at website automatically. Had first time in yrs, US Dollars were aprox 5.5% Higher then canadas dollar value.
So if petro dollars are Losing value as brandon says, why are us dollars woth MORE than canadain dollars?
I recall us dollars Used to be equal to $1.50-$1.60 in canadian money 20-25 yrs ago. But I go to that truck site very often and do not recall us dollars worth more like Now for a very Long time.
So Gasoline should be Lower by same amount 5% Min or more.

If you don’t have an alternative source of heat, best get one. I recently bought a nice woodstove after heating with fuel oil (boiler), most my life. My shop is also heated with oil (furnace) If the supplies get tight and the costs of HHF (home heating fuel) skyrockets, I’ll switch over to wood heat full time. Yeah, I’m prepared to heat bath water on the wood stove and whatnot. I won’t enjoy it but “I’ll do whatever it takes to get the coon”. How bout Ya’ll?

PO,D you can get a great outdoor furnace that burns wood, heats the house, shop or anything else you want to or need to IE you can have a plant starting building. we have a great one it holds enough wood for 24 hr burn everything is hooked up to it heat, both hot water tanks 1 in the barn and 1 in the house plus its hooked up to the high tunnel that i start plants in the late feb for the garden. all of this and there is way more you can do for yourself. we also have a wood fired cookstove it makes the best pies and bread, plus the kitchen is always toasty all winter so keep preppin and have a scotch an a cohiba on the porch while shellin peas. also dyna has a great firewood processor that cuts,splits and piles all the wood you can ever burn rather cheaply

You are right that wood is a good source of heat. I heat my shop with wood and could rig a wood unit to heat some of my house. It will not be pleasant, but will have a couple of warm rooms. I am thinking about what someone said the other day. 12v electric blankets. You could power them with a solar setup, but you still need enough heat to keep the pipes thawed and some way to heat that bath water.

Been heating with wood for 40 years. Nothing new here. What is new is the amount of firewood we plan to keep in stock…..inside of our typical year ahead,(4 cords ) we’re shooting for 3 years worth cut, split and in the dry. Don’t want chainsaw noise going when things get tough.
As for hot water/cooking, we use propane, and do keep several years of that ahead…but I have a wood fired water heater built and ready to go, and a wood cook stove, as backup.
Electric is 100% solar now…..11kw system.
Water is gravity fed spring.
Garden(s)well fenced to keep deer out, young orchard is coming on, two catfish ponds,chickens, cows and pigs all doing fine.
Next project: 24×40 hoop house to extend growing season of cool weather crops.

My old boss man, during the early eighties, was from Spartanburg SC. His daughter went to school with most of the original members of the band and was a roadie with them for many years. i heard a lot of cool stories from her, very hip dad, about the band. Kinda gave me a deeper appreciation for them and their music.

When we talked about honey bees last year I counted plenty on my clover. This year I haven’t seen any yet. Plenty of bumble bees and other critters to pollinate, but no honey bees yet. I’m hoping to still see some. I keep telling myself it must be the weather.
Police the neighbor is a bee keeper. He has put almost 300 hives on our hayfields this year. He said that with all the rain this year here it might drop the honey supply this year but only time will tell. Last year i drilled 150 acres of alfalfa plus 300 acres or timothy, alfalfa, clover mix. all of this and we are still trying to get 1rst cutting off. waay too much rain . it sure is high and heavy so far, about 11 ton to the acre on the mow so keep track you may see more bees
Last year (2012)very few honey bees but plenty of bumble bees. This year I have one honey bee and two or three bumble bees. I don’t know how I managed to get the few squash and cucumbers I have picked. More folks in this area are going into the honey business because of the scarce supply of honey bees. I am wondering if you can hand pollinate okra.
On another note, everyone in this area (east TN) is having a real problem with blight on the tomatoes. The plants began to fire up a month ago even before the tomatoes set on. We are going to get one big picking of tomatoes and they are going to be gone. The plants are real rangy with very little foliage and the tomates don’t look right. I think the plants are some kind of genetic hybrid even though they are supposed to be 4 or 5 varieties. These are all supposed to be indeterminate tomatoes and bear all summer. We all may be looking for heirloom seed next spring to start our own plants.
Everyone here also had real problems with the seed we bought germinating. We planted seed and maybe 10% of it came up. I planted some things three times to get a few plants. This is my 61st year to make a garden and even though we have had rain it has been tough to grow anything in abundance.
Why waste your time with seed you buy in a packet? Ever try keep seed into the next season? Seed companies have been messing with seeds for years.
Heirloom seeds are about the only way you’ll get crops in the near future. Still use seeds that have been passed down for many years. Still grow a variety of potatoes that have been in the family for over 80 years and an heirloom bean that I’ve never seen anywhere else.
There used to be 300 different varieties of grain years ago and hundreds, if not thousands of different fruits and veggies on the planet. Now you’d be lucky to find 30 veg/fruit varieties in you local grocery outlet. No prizes for guessing where all the veggie seeds went.
Stop using store bought fertilizers and pesticides too. Free range chicken manure (not the factory farm stuff filled with chemicals and antibiotics either, small farm stuff only)
You have to get back to the old way of doing things in the garden before its too late.

We have the tomato blight here too – last year and this year. There is a treatment, but it needs to be reapplied every few weeks. Despite all the rain, so far it has not been as bad as last year. I also added some food grade diatomaceous earth (bought at the feed store) to the treatment mix.
It has been recommended to remove the “bad leaves” and BURN them. Continue to check the tomato plants every few days for any more bad leaves.
I use heirloom seeds and had some tomato plants grow up where they were planted last year. One of these plants is clear of all blight. I am saving seeds from that plant.
Treatment for Tomato Blight
Mix a 1/4 cup Epsom salts with 2 tablespoons of powdered milk in about 5 cups of planting soil. Place a cup or two of the mixed dirt in the hole where you’re going to plant the tomato plant.
Once planted, sprinkle another 2 TBS of powdered milk and a couple TBS of food grade diatomaceous earth around the stem. This took care of the blight.
I have been told the spores stay in the soil. Some recommend burning the garden area in December or in the spring to kill the blight spores before planting.

I had 5 tomato plants in my flower bed next to the front of the house. The one by the porch tied to the column got a fungus, called Septoria-black on the leaves, and some brown, leaf curl is how you know it is sick.
I pulled it up, threw it in the dumpster–says don’t even let the leaves touch other tomato, cauliflower, cabbage, broccoli plants.
Don’t even let your hands touch other plants.
I used the powdered milk/Epsom salts every two weekd on those in front and not huge tomatoes, but wow, lots of blooms and nice tomatoes still.
At a yard sale yesterday, I heard a man describing exactly what my one tomato plant had. It’s a fungus created by a cool spell(in May here), dry spell and humidity(we had that too), and then lots of rain(two days 3rd and 4th of July)??
I call it mildew what is created under the soil–they call it septoria fungus.
Hope this helps others. My other plants look fine as I check every day.
Everyone make sure you ferment the seeds from the tomatoes before you dry them for next year. Tomato and cucumber seeds have a built in killer in the slimy stuff around them to prevent thousands of volunteer plants from fallen fruit. Squeeze seeds from a tomato or cucumber, preferably the first one that you have let get overripe into a cup and let it sit until a white crust has formed over it. It will stink, so sit it on a porch. After it has fermented, pour it into a strainer and wash with running water while rubbing with your fingers to get rid of all the “yuck”. Dry on a paper towel. I never pick my first fruits from anything. Let them get overripe to get the hardest seeds you can. The early trait is the one you want to get the earliest crop next year!
Cowdoc you need to sample the ground an see if its high or low ph. You may have to lime it some to get to the proper ph. On all of my ground i use a grid system basicly its a hundred yard system( when you work 1100 acres the time to do 1oo ft grid would be more than i have. also you may want to rotate diffrent crops there because according to all i have read and my knowledge plants sometimes create a toxcicity level which makes them not want to grow. IE alfalfa is only good for 5 yrs it basicly creats an envirorment where it will kill itself. so on them notes do what you can and i will see you on the other side. Ps nachurs makes about the best all natural fertilizer you can buy.
In my everyday goings, (I cut 3 acres of grass clover weekly) I have yet to see one honeybee in my area this year period. I know they are there, but the numbers have got to be way down.

Insects? I heard alot of Termites has infiltrated skokie Ill area. NY and DC also. A huge Nest of Termites is somewheres in Fla too I think. Been chompin away at americas Foundation since about 1880 era.

This is one of the best articles I’ve read so far on this topic. As a precious metals dealer said to me in 2009 when I asked him when will the next collapse occur; he replied, “You’re asking the wrong question. What’s more important? Some of those talking heads are being paid to tout various investments. Others, especially the media moguls, have been threatened and toe the line out of fear. Everyone in the Inner Party is being blackmailed for behavior that was allowed or encouraged simply to have something with which to threaten them. The regime has closed meetings with the media where they issue the talking points that will be tolerated, always racheting down the allowable amount of real information allowed.
It ain’t hypocrisy, it is just the seamless propaganda arm spewing the line allowed. I can’t even fault the majority for not believing in any sort of economic problem. They know what they are allowed to know and for many, the alternative media is suspect and just confuses them.
Personally, I don’t think we are going to experience collapse as a hell on earth scenario. The PTB make their living off consumers. Why would they destroy the herd? I do think we will see electronic credit, global governance, endless wars fought in the Third World, slavery disguised as normalcy and ubiquitous surveillance. A few riots will be encouraged to get just far enough to warrant martial law in selected areas. The point will be well-taken and most other areas will just quietly go along with whatever is pushed out to them.

I still believe that something physical must happen before the economic implosion. That physical event is becoming less and less catastrophic each day as the economy is constantly weakened by these idiotic moves like what that helicopter ben continues to do. The stock market was so happy yesterday to hear that more moeny will be flooded into the economy whenever it is needed. What this really means is that WHEN the economy begins to tank, no matter how bad, trillions of new money will be flushed, and that is exactly what it is, right into the markets or whatever. Doesn’t matter if milk and bread now cost $50 to purchase, just as long as everyone can awe in that stock market has breached 20000 or 30000.
Other countries see this like Brandon says, and they know that the U.S. dollar is a bad investment. All it takes is for OPEC to do this and the U.S. dollar has to find something else to back it up. One word for that, WAR. The only ace in the hole that the U.S. has is its military. Just like all countries that devalued their money, as long as they have a strong military, this is where they fall right back on. It is really the only option to distract the country from true misery at home. Hitler went to a full war time economy and it stopped the total freefall, only temporarily, but it did stop it. This time war means The Day After residue after the missiles have dropped off their nukes. The elitists don’t care, they are safely in underground bunkers.
Oh well, let’s see what happens in the Zimmerman case to see if this could be some sort of catalyst to the dominoes beginning to fall. Or just another hiccup before the true ignition points of something bigger like some geophysical event or something. @ JustMe. I see this as maybe something that BO would be doing in secret from some possible future martial law. I could see BO and most previous presidents using un troops against Americans to have order. This is nothing but an invasion. Everyone is legally bond to only listen to United States law enforcement. At least that is the way it should be if somehow it is not. There are not too many courts or jurors that would ever convict an American of stopping some Russian or other foreigner, using any means, from taking them off to God knows where.
Another scenario that seems possible is that the U.S. is purchasing these other country’s military hardware to use in training exercises. That would be all right. I wish I could give you more than just speculation.
I have seen posts on other forums about foriegn troops being trained for martial law type scenarios in America, and an increase in foriegn aircraft in unusual places, always thought it was hype. Seeing an Il-76 that close was a real eye-opener, never imagined seeing one here. I was hoping you might know something locally.
I am aware of training foriegn troops in mil specialties, that has always gone on, as many long-time allies have little training space, and lack certain expertise. Also aware of the use of foriegn hardware, have seen it up close in the Army.
It would be easy for them to slowly move in as many foriegn troops as they want, and house them at mil bases, and no one would know.

Worked his entire life as a trademan.
Never called in sick.
Always washed and polished his car on Saturday…he drove the same car for 25 years.
Rented the upstairs.

Had a great conversation today with a business associate who I greatly respect. Discovered he is a like minded libertarian and has long been making his plans to weather the forthcoming economic and social holocaust. More and more I am running into like- minded business folks – people who, like me, have worked hard to build their own businesses, folks who have weathered many a storm in the business world, true survivors all. Peak Oil has never been about ‘Running out’ of oil or in the immediate, about meeting demand. It is about EROEI. It’s simple, as a well depletes, it takes more energy to pull the same amount of oil out of the well.
The crippling effects of Peak Oil will not be caused by a supply problem, but rather an energy/price problem that will cause oil and its by-products to become unaffordable long before we are close to running out of oil.
This is , I believe the essence of the problem. There will be a relentless upward squeeze on the price of energy, due to costs of retooling for distillation to redistribution- from processing of light “sweet (low sulfur) oil to high sulfur “sour” crude” or other forms of energy , like natural gas to liquid gas etc.
Loss of the petrodollar reserve status “buy” oil will drive the price up for oil as well as the diminishing EROEI ratio. Those impacted most will be those in the middle class who depend on cheap oil to drive distances from their homes in the suburbs to the cities to work— to afford their home. Combined with a loss of earning wages already occurring via the off shoring of manufacturing jobs and the politicians giving away the country to illegal, both unskilled and now, increasingly even skilled immigrants, so that they can get votes, we the middle class will no longer to be able to afford to drive such distances. A catch 22 burning at both ends.
It seems that the middle class will eventually either be herded into the cities by price induced oil starvation where paradoxically, they can be controlled more easily by NWO,
OR,
they can cut their reliance on fossil fuel by cutting their dependency cities (for work) and form small independent groups with local economies, farming etc.
This could be the great unwind of the industrial age which formerly saw a migration of farmers to the cities into the factories one hundred years ago. I defer to the experts as whether we need or will see a re-emergence of labor unions.
Of course if you are a multimillionaire, the price of gas doesn’t matter, and you can live where you want and drive what you want. Gasoline will always be available, unless a pure SHTF scenario erupts in which the transport/delivery of fuel is completely disrupted so even the wealthy are left stranded. Therefore, by necessity a modicum of compliant/obedient middle class worker bees will be needed to drill, refine, and transport oil. So the middle class can’t completely disappear. Small comfort.

I think one of the biggest hidden problems with the status quo is that due to the extreme specialization, i.e., the just in time delivery structure of our economy, especially with trucking and the delivery/distribution of food, the productive people have become isolated from each other, and it is this isolation which further perpetuates TPTB’s hold on the collective. Specialization keeps productive people from uniting to reclaim the product of their labor.
Until productive people, and by that I mean the builders, the mechanics, electricians, farmers, sanitation workers, the truckers, doctors, chemists, oil field workers, factory workers etc can purge themselves of the useless, non productive, elements of society, i.e., politicians, lawyers, bankers by being more self sufficient, then these parasites will continue to control us.
The essential issue is the (the politicians and the what I call the “apex parasite” class ) have time to concentrate on taking from the productive people. The productive people are feeding them. transporting them, sheltering them, providing all the life support and luxuries, etc. so that the parasites can focus their attention on taking from others. On a positive note, Missouri passed a law that encourages schools to teach first graders a course on gun safety. The course is the Eddie Eagle Gunsafe Program, sponsered by the National Rifle Assoc. It’s not mandatory but it is a start, atleast children will learn what to do, and how to handle a gun situation. They will learn not to fear a gun, but to respect it as a tool that can be dangerous if not handled properly.
