Update: The FBI is treating Epstein’s death as a criminal matter, according to Bloomberg.

“Federal prosecutors unsealed charges against two guards at the U.S. jail in lower Manhattan who were supposed to keep watch on financier Jeffrey Epstein.”

“The two guards are charged in New York with falsifying documents and conspiracy to defraud the U.S.

Kathleen Hawk Sawyer made the admission during a line of questioning involving Sen. Lindsay Graham, in front of the Senate Judiciary Committee.

“With a case this high profile, there has got to be either a major malfunction of the system or criminal enterprise at foot to allow this to happen. So are you looking at both, is the FBI looking at both?” the South Carolina Republican senator asked.

The FBI is involved and they are looking at criminal enterprise, yes,” Sawyer responded. –Fox News

Two federal correctional officers who were on duty the night Jeffrey Epstein died were arrested early Tuesday on federal charges related to their failure to check on him the night he died in his cell, according to the New York Times, citing a person with knowledge of the matter.

The two federal Bureau of Prisons employees were expected to be charged later Tuesday morning and appear in United States District Court in Manhattan.

The charges would be the first to arise from a criminal inquiry into the death of Mr. Epstein, who hanged himself at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in Manhattan while awaiting trial on sex-trafficking charges. –NYT

The guards faced harsh scrutiny after Epstein was found unresponsive in his cell at the Metropolitan Correctional Center in New York City on August 10, after failing to check on him every 30 minutes as required. Instead, they fell asleep for hours and falsified records to cover up what they had done according to reports.

Prosecutors offered the officers a plea deal according to CNN, which they declined, reporting that “at least one federal prison worker on duty the night before Jeffrey Epstein was found dead in his prison cell was offered a plea deal in connection with the multimillionaire’s death.”

Of the two officers who had the responsibility to monitor Epstein, one was not a detention guard but was temporarily reassigned to that post, according to CNN reporting. The guard, a man not identified by officials, had previously been trained as a corrections officer but had moved to another position. Rules at the Federal Bureau of Prisons allow people who work in other prison jobs, such as teachers and cooks, to be trained to fill in for posts usually manned by regular guards.

The official ruling on Epstein’s death was suicide, although skeptics have suggested that Epstein’s sudden death was all too convenient as it also buried the toxic secrets of countless implicated “luminaries” and Wall Street and Beltway VIPs across all sectors of US life.

At the end of October, prominent forensic expert Michael Baden refuted the official narrative, stating at the end of October that Epstein was “strangulated.”

      1. Any further “investigations” concerning Epstein is nothing more than eye wash for the public. Rather, those who know the truth are busily hiding the truth permanently. There’s more than did he just off himself or if someone else offed him. There are lots of questions, like; the full list of his co-pervs, when did it all begin and who set it up, what extent were intelligence services involved and why, how did Eppy accumulate 550 million bucks, why is the story being suppressed in the MSM and who all made that decision, to whom did his estate go to (if he did die), and what entities profited from this blackmail operation. There is also no great outcry from officialdom for the victims, they too just want it all to be swept under the rug. It is likely if the facts came out the existence of the deep state would be undeniable, there would be a reawakening of the people, and a society changing revulsion and uproar would take place against all officialdom. We will never know the real answers. They know disclosure of the facts could open the door to the exposure of other shocking and outrageous cases, in turn debilitating the governance of the nation.

When I was at some teaching hospitals, there were maps, on the walls. With wrong turns or some short cuts, you could walk straight through that concrete jungle, around the “ghetto” quota case gurney pushers, butt wipers, and anal temperature takers.

Deep, in the bowels of these different state institutions, which outwardly look like prisons, and which basically have prison intakes, are cloisters of passable humans, with the spark of intelligence in their eyes, saying sciency things, over a nice brunch.

The people who you really want to blame…

… were never trusted with any real responsibility, imo. They are the stage props of whichever industry, trying to portray the appearances of useful labor. Put an afro on a bowling pin or traffic cone, for their replacement. You’re putting the onus on NPC’s.

      3. Sex control and blackmail is how the international system works. Epstein was just one operation, Israeli/British, there are many, many more.

        Here are some others:

        1) US War on Terror: a global network of dark sites where people are disappeared, tortured, sex tortured and re-programmed. Muslim men go back into the field to brutally rape and sex enslave to take over territory. They are deployed into Western states to rape and dominate young girls and women through sex trafficking.

        2) China: China’s approach involves seduction and blackmail. They have zillions of hot women so it is pretty easy to seduce men, film them and then blackmail them for business control.

        3) Russia: Russia also has zillions of hot women who seduce and blackmail. The Russians are really good at this because they have been doing it for centuries. They even train the women in special schools so they can deliver mind-blowing sex and beat the competition.

And there are many more but these are the major players.

As for Andrew, 17 is not paedophilia – it is just a love of healthy young women which makes him a normal hetero man. The world has gotten so twisted in LGBT nonsense people have forgotten horny guys like young women – always have, always will.

      4. They are going after the pawns. Does any one really think that the guards were involved? They are just useful idiots inthe wrong place at the wrong time.
It was some elite rich group that paid off the jail administrator and made it happen.
Since epstein knew to much, and he got caught, no real choice but to iliminate epstein, So the rest can sail free.
The guards, Come on, they are just patsyies.

      5. Annnnnnd one of the incompetent guards is an obese black woman. Isn’t that conveeeeenient!!

Epstein was trying to improve the human race, as was Prince Andrew, so it is ironic an incompetent black woman enabled Epstein’s death.
