Every year, Facebook gets tens of thousands of requests for data from governments worldwide, including search warrants, subpoenas, or calls to restrict certain kinds of content. And, according to a new report, those requests are increasing at an alarming rate.

According to QZ.com, in the United States, the requests rose by 26% from the last six months of 2016 to the first six months of 2017, while globally, requests increased by about 21%. Since 2013, when the company first started providing data on government requests, the US number has been steadily rising—it has roughly tripled in a period of four years.

This is alarming many and causing a concern about privacy.  Joe Joseph, from the Daily Sheeple, isn’t sugarcoating the reality of Facebook either.  “Duh. This is exactly what Facebook was designed to do,” says Joseph.

“You have to remember that Zuckerberg had “seed money” and that seed money came from CIA front companies that put a lot of resources into this and…basically think about it as like, sowing seeds; if you will. They knew that Facebook was gonna bear fruit. I don’t think they realized just how big it would become. But I can tell you that they get so much information and intel from social media:  I don’t think that it would go away even if we wanted it to.”

The government keeps requesting the information, and Facebook continues to comply with the government’s demands.  In the first six months of 2013, it granted the government—which includes the police—79% of requests (“some data was produced” in these cases, the company says); in the first six months of 2017, that share rose to 85%. “We continue to carefully scrutinize each request we receive for account data — whether from an authority in the U.S., Europe, or elsewhere — to make sure it is legally sufficient,” Chris Sonderby, the company’s general counsel, wrote in a post. “If a request appears to be deficient or overly broad, we push back, and will fight in court, if necessary.”

But Joseph thinks Facebook is just trying to pacify the easily manipulated sheeple of society. “This is pretty troubling when you think about what you put out there, what they collect, and Facebook only being one of the many avenues that they have,” Joseph says. “The United States is collecting your data. Whether you like it or not. They are scooping up everything. And they’re taking it and they’re storing it in their facility at Bluffdale, Utah which has the capacity at this time to store every communication on the face of this earth for the next one hundred years.”

“It’s unbelievable,” Joseph continues.  “This is stuff that is unacceptable to me, but I’m sure, to a lot of you. And these companies have really gone too far…they can reconstruct your life and make anyone they want a patsy.”

      1. Well, Bluffdale, Utah should be on Mr. Putin’s list.

Internet came back today after 10 days now. Been down so long I lost count. Phone service intermittent also.
        Life after collapse.
Still writing about it. I hope to post some info but the story is a bit long.
I wrote this site’s owner twice about posting the story and have been ignored. Makes me wonder.
He used to pop in and reply on occasion. Granted, I’ve been incommunicado for a while…?

        • Ketch –

      2. THE LAND OF THE FREE
        HOME OF THE BRAVE……

        • “THE LAND OF THE FREE
          HOME OF THE BRAVE……”

          WHERE??!!

      3. Facebook Handing Over More Info To US Government: ‘This Is What Facebook Was Designed To Do’

Yes … and along with the rest of those other Social Media Outlets.

“This is alarming many and causing a concern about privacy.”

        Why?

Why should it be a concern when people are willing and able to upload information to the Net of their own doing? Uploading/inputing data, pictures and other means of information is free game to anybody.

The same goes for blogs of this nature as well.

Be smart about it … not ‘tarded.

        • FTW. Blogs of this nature are similar, I’ll give you that. But they are different in that most here actually voice the truth of what they feel, think and will do when (not ‘if’) it all comes tumbling down. Personally, I find it heartening to know that there is still a few real patriots out there. That there are men and women who will still stand and fight, are capable, have actually readied themselves. And if… if this site is sharing with the government also – okay. “Hey ‘powers that be’ take good notes. Your days are numbered”.

          • Heartless –

When I mentioned “blogs” such as this, I wasn’t referring to SHTFplan sharing information to the Gov.

I was referring to the posts that we put up on this board or any like it, can be seen by the stooges who get paid hourly to collect data on each and one of us.

Makes you wonder how many alphabet agencies snoop on sites such as this on a daily basis. Personally, I care not what I post up in here. It will not reflect on me in a negative way into the future.

If by some odd chance that it does – oh well, I still don’t care one way or the other. F’it … what’s done, has been done.

            • Sorry FTW – I rushed to defend. No insult intended. And I’m just a man who like others here have said – figure the gubmint has way more’n it needs to come looking for me. So? What the hell? C’mon, let’s dance.

        • FTW, good points. But there’s other ways the govt. can get data on people besides social media. There’s no telling how much data they have on me and I don’t even use any stinkin’ social media.

          • Brave –

It’s a “digital world” and all of our records are exposed for the world to see. Whether it’s medical records, visiting the DMV, being a homeowner or simply applying for a job. We are all in this loop, one way or another, unless such a person is homeless and off the grid.

Unfortunately, everything is hackable, and everything can be sold for the right amount of money for information.

Best thing a person can do … is keep themselves out off the radar the best way possible.

            • During the Nazi takeover of Germany and the rounding up of the Jews and shipping them off to concentration camps – the job of the SS was made much easier because every township had cards on their residents. Info like the names and ages of their children, their religious affilliation, names of spouses, dates of marriage, previous marriages, etc. Simply pulling all the cards out of the file which indicated a household was “JUDEN” was enough to get them shipped off to the camps and murdered with six million other Jews who were living in Gema, Austria, Hungary, and Poland at that time.

FaceBook is the equivalent of those cards in the town hall. All of our personal data is “shared” so innocently and so openly. It makes it far too easy for some UN Uber-Cop to come into our home and arrest us for being Christians, or Jews, or for disagreeing with the teachings of the state… whatever they may be.

Beware. Facebook may seem innocent but it is anything but innocent and will used to kill millions of us at some point int he future. t least be smart and delete what you can while you can and never go on that accursed site again!

      4. If an app is “free” then YOU are the product.

      5. All Americans are used to being raped without cube by the Six Sided Flag dual citizens. Facebook is just another rape secession and most actually like it. You see after a while pain goes away and numbness replaces it.

        • Correct you are Anon –

many Americans enjoy ‘facefuck and ‘twatter. They roam the streets and office buildings walking with their face buried into their “not so” smart phones. I refer to these types as “modern day zombies”.

      6. This is why I won’t use Facebook or Twitter. The govt. I’m sure already has all the info they need on me anyway.

        • I don’t mess with social media (great for businesses, blogs, news sites tho’) who the H has time, only so many hours in a day to get work done and communicate via email or phone if needed. Even being retired, I find more work around the house now, running errands, shopping, hvy traffic, eating up my time. Narcissism prevails for mainly shallow people who use media for stupid reasons like selfies and gossip.

        • Jim, Facebook and Twitter are notorious for their censorship also. They’ll shut down white peoples’ accounts in a heartbeat I they violate the “speech code”. Minority people get a free pass on whatever they say.

      7. The Pentagon ran a program called Life log. The day Life Log was shut down, Facebook started up. Life Log was the government test of what would become Facebook. And now you know the rest of the story.

      8. Is anyone surprised by this?

      9. No wonder he came RICH so fast. Made a deal with the devil. The communist up there. Mainly Demoncraps.
