Tucker Carlson had historian Victor Davis Hanson on his show just last week, where the latter said that California is on the verge of becoming the nation’s first Third World state. From trash being illegally dumped to city hall becoming a rat-infested den in the city of LA, it all points to the decay suffered when Democrats run things. Even police stations in the city are loaded with rats and according to Townhall, one was fined $5,000 over its conditions that left one officer stricken with typhoid fever. California’s descent has gotten to the point where there is a possibility that bubonic plague (the black death) may now be present in the city.
This isn’t new information either. Typhus outbreaks were being reported back in February. Typhus is not transmitted person-to-person, and flea-borne typhus can spread to people from infected fleas and their feces. Typhus infection can be prevented through flea control measures on pets, using insect repellent to avoid flea bites and clearing areas that can attract wild or stray animals like cats, rats, and opossums, according to the Department of Public Health.
Typhus is spread by fleas hitching a ride on rats. While the general population struggles under the weight of the government (local, state, and federal in LA’s case) and the homeless population continues to climb up, the same cannot be said for the rats that carry fleas the cause typhus. California’s burgeoning homeless camps are not the most hygienic places to live, obviously. And with the homeless population growing daily, the encampments are becoming more dangerous when it comes to crime and disease. Dr. Drew Pinsky said this month that there has been a total and complete breakdown of services in the city that has placed the population at risk of infection and other health-related issues.
“We have a complete breakdown of the basic needs of civilization in Los Angeles right now,” Pinsky told Fox News host Laura Ingraham. “We have the three prongs of airborne disease, tuberculosis is exploding, rodent-borne. We are one of the only cities in the country that doesn’t have a rodent control program, and sanitation has broken down.” Pinsky said bubonic plague, which is also known as the “Black Death,” a pandemic that killed off millions in the 14th century, is “likely” already present in Los Angeles. The plague is spread by infected fleas and exposure to bodily fluids from a dead plague-infected animal, with the bacteria entering through the skin and traveling to lymph nodes.
“This is unbelievable. I can’t believe I live in a city where this is not Third World. This is medieval,” Pinsky said, according to Fox News. “Third World countries are insulted if they are accused of being like this. No city on Earth tolerates this. The entire population is at risk.”

I don’t believe that IQ has any bearing on what occurs in California. There is considerable wealth there and with it a feeling of guilt. Having no desire to actually help society they put effort into a conversational appearance of being concerned and empathic because it collectively makes them feel good. This plague has existed in the Four Corners area of AZ and other mountain areas of the Western US including the Peoples Republic of Kalifornia, for decades if not centuries.
In AZ it is found in prairie dogs (a rodent) within the City Limits of Flagstaff, and in the predators who eat them, like mountain lions and coyotes.
Likewise the hanta virus is found in mice and rats and rodents; and can be caught by sweeping up their fecees and inhaling the dust. Reason enough to avoid contact with dead animals.

John Stiner, I lived there for decades. The last 12 years living there, none of the folks I voted for – won. The limits to state government I voted for – the a**hole courts overturned. CA made foreigners SUPER CITIZENS with special rights. Finally I left.

I started traveling to SoCal for business in 1965. The San Diego Frwy was still under construction and had not reached San Diego yet lol. It was truly the golden land back then. I ended up buying a little house in Manhattan Beach and watched a thousand sunsets into the Pacific. The beach towns between L.A. and La Jolla were pristine jewels of endless surf and sun. In the winter I could ski up at Big Bear and be back home to body surf in the same day. Not many places you can do that.
I lived through the big quake that dropped freeway spans in the San Fernando Valley and shook up the taller buildings along the Santa Monica Freeway.
I was sleeping when I thought my wife was shaking the bed and telling me to wake up. I opened my eyes and saw the light fixture swaying over the bed and instantly knew what was happening. We were outside and standing in the street in about 10 seconds as the ground continued move in waves beneath our feet and we struggled to keep standing. It was the most peculiar situation I had ever experienced.
There was no place to go and no place to hide. No place to escape. There were thousands of aftershocks after that and they became part of daily life. I started to have a recurrent nightmare.
I was looking out to sea and there was a giant tsunami coming in to the beach. It was 100 feet high and totally black. There was no where to go and no place to hide.
I soon sold the little beach house and moved to the mountains of Montana. The recurrent nightmare stopped.
About 20 years ago I returned to San Diego County and could not recognize the place. It was overrun by hordes of people. The beach cities had become polyglots. Where was the golden land? Sad that.
I have no desire to ever return. I have followed Victor Davis Hanson’s commentary on the pathetic de-evolution of his home state with the pathos of knowing what it was before.
The soaring L.A. freeways used to be a wonder of the world, at least when you drove them at 3:00 AM between grid-locked rush hours.
Now, I doubt if the institutional engineering memory still exists to ever build structures like that again. Except for some holdout counties in northern California, the whole state seems to be in a death spiral of terminal squalor and entropy.
If plague and ebola breaks out the only way to isolate and sterilize the place may be with those buckets of sunshine and neutrons that Samuel Cohen was so fond of.

I am 72. I look at my children; three are struggling with three grandsons with non-verbal full-flown autism, epilepsy, cerebral palsy and more. One daughter has lost job after job because she won’t “join in the fun” of after-work drinking (not a groupy)
and works part-time while taking care of a severely autistic son and trying to get respite care waiver. Turned down three times and that after 10 years of being sent from one division to another. She found last week that the waiver her son qualifies for (again, very severe autism requiring 24-7 care) was turned down so the waiver could be given to an illegal alien family. I am so tired of the crap I see. My education (post grad) has never come near in giving me the income it cost me to get it.
And now the Libs want to have free education!!! My children and my husband worked and work like 80-100 hours a week and have to hire an accountant just to keep from having it stolen and given to free-loaders (like people in ANTIFA).
Maybe it is time to have score settled. I can’t be the only one fed up with Libs and lazy politicians running under one party only to surface under the other and turn-coat on their promises! By the way, my Soc.Sec. is $470.00 a month – the 2019 COLA sent entirely to my Medicare – which won’t cover squat for most things.
