Update: Bill Maher has issued an apology for using the N-word on Friday’s edition of HBO’s “Real Time with Bill Maher.”
Maher said in a statement: “Friday nights are always my worst night of sleep because I’m up reflecting on the things I should or shouldn’t have said on my live show. Last night was a particularly long night as I regret the word I used in the banter of a live moment. The word was offensive and I regret saying it and am very sorry.
A rep for Maher told Variety the comedian was traveling on Saturday and unavailable for further comment.

After months of liberal anger focused on Trump in particular, and the conservative right in general which culminated with last week’s unfortunate attempt at “humor” by Kathy Griffin, in which a severed Donald Trump head reportedly cost her her career (in her own words), overnight Bill Maher did his best to take the heat off of Griffin by focusing the next round of social outrage – especially that emanating from the left – on himself.
As the Wrap notes, “the former Politically Incorrect host proved he’s still politically incorrect when Republican Nebraska Senator Ben Sasse invited Maher to “work in the fields.” Maher’s reply prompted outrage among the liberal half of social media, as well as a barrage of calls aimed at HBO to fire Maher. Discussing his new book on Friday evening, the following exchange took place:
“I’ve got to get to Nebraska more,” Maher said to Sasse.
“You’re welcome. We’d love to have you work in the fields with us,” Sasse replied.
“Work in the fields? Senator, I’m a house nigger. No, it’s a joke,” said Maher.

Following the exchange, much of the audience laughed and clapped even as some audience members were heard to groan. Sasse kept quiet, before Maher said: “No, it’s a joke.” Neither Mr. Maher nor Mr. Sasse addressed the comments further, and the conversation moved to other subjects.
However, it was too late and the outrage was already flowing. DeRay McKesson, a Black Lives Matter activist and former Baltimore mayoral candidate, led the criticism on social media. “Bill Maher has got to go,” he wrote. “There are no explanations that make this acceptable” He added “And why does the audience think it was OK to laugh? And Ben Sasse doesn’t even flinch. What is happening in the world?”

Menzo, I’ve tested an AK but I wish it had a more effective range. I’ve also tested an AR and considering getting one. My current go-to rifle is an M1 Carbine. Simple to operate and fun to shoot. 30-round mags are available for them.

BTW/ a .45 only can handle about 8 to 10 rounds in the standard Full size 1911 handgun. I have a subcompact 9mm Beretta PX4 and the magazine holds 20 rounds +1 in the chamber. I find myself getting increasingly irritated whenever I run across these kinds of vitriolic, over-the-top, emotional debates between the so-called gun-nut community. Here is the common sense logical answer to this debate:
Any caliber of firearm in the hands of a prepper is far superior to having no firearm at all. The choice of which caliber or make & model of firearm is an individual choice and would depend on a variety of factors, which also includes affordability.
In the case of the .223 caliber, one might want to factor in the reality that, if some future slab of liberal totalitarian dog manure were to reach the Oval Office and decide to send the US military out to confiscate the firearms of law abiding American citizens – and kill anyone who refused to turn them over, this would likely ignite the second American Revolution. Which means, the percentage of the US military who were willing to commit treason against their own fellow countrymen by agreeing to follow the orders of a stinking Communist liberal tyrant and attack the citizens who were defending their freedoms would be very likely using AR-15/M4/M16 rifles.

Meet an interesting Gent today. I went out for a 25 MI bike ride, on a nice paved trail here in FL, on my way back I rode with a guy who came on the trail with a loaded down road bike, panniers, and some packs. I said are ya camping? He said “yup.” He said he rode from California to Key West Florida and is now heading north up to Maine. Quite a trek.. So I asked him a few questions. I Asked, so to you have a water filter. He said no, there are plenty of places to get water.. I saw that he had 2 liter bottle on his bike. He also did not have any solar charge for a phone, nor a GPS, he did have a few paper maps, but he said he stops off at libraries and logs on to pull up some bike routes. I said so do you have Mountain house meals? He said no he is a chief, and usually just makes up some rice with vegetables, and he said he eats a lot of beans. I said dry beans, he said no canned beans. He said cooking dried beans takes too long. He also uses a small camp stove. I asked how far he rides every day and he said about 60 miles. And then usually camps in some people’s yard that he meets along the way. He said he is trying to get up north as soon as possible as summer is setting in. He will spend the winter up in Maine, then set out in the spring and bike over southern Canada and Wisconsin and out to Oregon. Kind of the entire perimeter of the Lower 48 US States.
My short ride of about 25 miles today, I was riding at about 13.6 MPH Ave. How about you. Are a you in shape? Or a fat slob that spends all day watching TV and on the computer?

My very southern brothers routinely complain about being treated as house ni££€rs…… Blacks are very racially prejudiced, esp. against their own lighter skinned brothers and sisters…. In the past, these lighter skinned versions were used “in the house” where life was better, but they were still slaves…..hence the pejorative term….
