Everyone likes to blame the Democrats for gun control, but here’s a news flash: those of us who fervently believe in the Second Amendment are actually being betrayed by members of the Republican party who are in Congress right now. Bills on the table right now would gut our right to bear arms, and the Congress is controlled by Republicans.
The spending bill that Congress hopes to pass is more than 2200 pages, according to Senator Rand Paul, who was outraged at being given less than a day to read the entire bill. Senator Paul live-tweeted his reading of the bill last night, and it’s a pretty safe bet that nobody else in Congress spent the evening reading it before they vote today.
Shame, shame. A pox on both Houses – and parties. $1.3 trillion. Busts budget caps. 2200 pages, with just hours to try to read it.

How the spending bill affects our Second Amendment rights
In this budget bill are some insidious things that affect our Second Amendment rights.
The bill revives an Obama-era restriction on firearms for senior citizens.
Just before President Obama left office, his administration finalized new regulations banning Social Security recipients from buying a gun if they have trouble managing their finances.
Using the Congressional Review Act, Republicans and two Democrats passed a bill overturning the regulation. But the bill did more than that. It also prevents any future president from reinstituting the ban without new legislative authorization from Congress.
Unfortunately, the spending bill passed Thursday allows the ban to be reinstituted because it reauthorizes the 2007 National Instant Criminal Background Check System (NICS) Improvement Amendments Act. This act allowed government agencies, not just the courts, to determine if someone is mentally incompetent to buy or possess a gun.
House Rules Committee Chairman Pete Sessions, R-Texas, said during testimony late Wednesday that he was “disturbed” that the bill would undo part of Republicans’ good work. But by Thursday morning, the House leadership had decided to go ahead with the measure. (source)
And that’s not all.
The bill funnels $50 million dollars into strict anti-gun organizations, namely the STOP School Violence Act, designed by the Sandy Hook Promise, which advocates extreme gun control.
At the same time, the bill forbids the use of federal money for arming and training school staff. That’s right – our tax dollars will be put to work against us. And representatives that are supposed to be pro-gun are allowing it to happen.
Finally, the bill will authorize the CDC to research “gun violence.” But the CDC has been allowed to research this for years, despite what you see to the contrary from the MSM. In 1996, the Dickey provision prohibited the CDC from using government funds to advocate or promote gun control.” There is no such provision in the current bill.
It isn’t just Democrats who are passing this bill.
This bill has passed the House by a vote of 256-167. The breakdown in the House of Representatives is 238 Republicans and 192 Democrats. If the Republicans were truly looking after our gun rights, as they like to advertise, this bill wouldn’t have passed the House.
Today it will be going before the Senate, where 60 votes will be needed to pass it. The Senate has 51 Republicans and 47 Democrats, which means that if it passes, the “pro-gun” Republicans have betrayed their constituents yet again.
Here’s what happens next:
Thursday afternoon, Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell moved to end debate on the bill, triggering a 30-hour window senators can use to discuss it.
The debate time could be shortened if Paul and other senators unanimously agree to do so but it was unclear how far Paul would go to press his point.
If the whole 30-hour time is used, the earliest the Senate could vote to advance the so-called “omnibus” bill would be 1 a.m. Saturday morning.
The Senate would then have to wait even longer before taking any final vote to pass it. (source)
If (when) this revolting turn of events occurs and the bill is passed by the Senate, the President will most likely sign it according to White House budget director Mick Mulvaney.
“In order to get the defense spending primarily, (and) all the rest of our priorities funded, we had to give away a lot of stuff that we didn’t want to give away,” Mulvaney said. (source)

The spending in this bill is truly obscene. You’d think an American budget would be focused on American interests, right?

How is voting for the “lesser of two evils” working out for you?

When are we going to say that we’ve had enough? At the rate we’re going, probably when it’s already too late and our corrupt system has enslaved us to the point that rebellion is futile.
The mainstream media is acting like Senator Rand Paul is a lunatic who is determined to shut down the government, but in reality, Senator Paul seems to be one of the only people in Washington DC who performing his due diligence.
Write to your local Senators and call their offices. (Find the contact info here.) Demand that they vote no on this spending bill. We have to stop passing policies that haven’t even been read by those voting on them. Lawmaking should not be a game of “Let’s Make a Deal.”
Government shutdowns have happened before and they’re mostly theater. We’ve been perfectly fine without them.

The ad begins with a guy scrubbing his dingy gray house exterior with a small mop but in comes a superwoman with a giant hose (yes, I get the analogy) and in one giant swipe cleans the house perfectly white again. The ad ends with the usual buy our stuff.

Most senior citizens on social security are having problems with their finances. It isn’t necessarily dementia. The value of their savings are shrinking with inflation and low returns on those savings. Interest on savings may be being held down but medical costs are not. Naturally, they are having trouble. If older people are angry, they have every right to be! It is completely rational. Maybe they want to take away their guns to keep them from shooting someone whose actions provoke attack. Having trouble managing your finances is not proof of dementia!

Now, one might float the argument that – aside from personal protection, Seniors are not going to be physically fit enough to use their 2nd Amendment rights to ward off threats from a tyrannical government – which is really what the 2nd Amendment was all about. And, since Seniors tend to have more health issues – once they hit a certain age, they are less likely to be out stomping through the woods on a hunting expedition. So, what’s the big deal about taking Grandpa’s guns away from him?
Let me clue you in as to the agenda. Here is what is on the minds of these 2nd Amendment hating Communist bastards:
Seniors who still own firearms when they croak – will want their firearms to be passed down to their beneficiaries. This is why Obama and his gun grabbing Communist pals dreamed up this pretext that enabled the Government to seize the firearms of Senior citizens, folks. Take them away from Grandpa and Grandma and their grand-kids won’t be able to acquire them.
Liberals and Communists have always thought out their evil agenda for the long term, folks. That’s why these evil bastards always seem to be 3 or 4 steps head of dimwitted, embarrassingly stupid, short term thinking Republicans.
Need another example of how the left thinks and strategize for the long term? Liberals and Communists control Public Education in America, right? Well, when we have an epidemic of school administrators demanding, and coercing, mostly White parents who have young White sons enrolled in public schools – that they have to put their sons on drugs like Ritalin or some other similar drug because they are ‘squirming’ and ‘fidgeting’ in their seats during class – guess what caving into those demands does?
Your son’s medical file has an entry placed in it that documents that they were prescribed to use that drug. When that same son reaches the legal age to purchase a firearm – and he is handed a stack of paperwork forms that he must fill out, on one of those forms – he specifically asked if he has ever taken a list of psychotropic medications and Ritalin is one of those medications. Answering the question – Yes, and his purchase of a firearm can be denied. Answering the question – No, and if later on – it is discovered that he lied, then the law can seize his firearms and prosecute him for falsifying his paperwork.
Forcing young white kids to take any of these psychotropic drugs – years before they are even eligible to purchase a firearm – effectively repeals their 2nd Amendment rights – and this is why the left is pushing these drugs on our kids. Oh, and one other thing I should mention. If a family has a child who is taking psychotropic drugs and the adults in that family own firearms and those firearms are stored in their home – if and when a future White House is again occupied by a gun grabbing liberal Communist – they can extend that prohibition of keeping firearms out of the reach of children who are on those kinds of drugs to include the house that child lives in. That is the backdoor way that the left will be able to abolish the 2nd Amendment rights of entire families – and all they have to do, is to get a child to take one of these psychotropic medications.
As I said. The communists think and plan their evil on a long term basis. They are cunning and they are Satanically devious. Which means, patriots and conservatives have to pull their heads out of their asses and engage their brains and be constantly on guard against these tactics.

Obama created a regulation that cuts federal money including grant eligibility to schools that call the police on school crime and violence committed by minority’s. Incredibly Police can be called on white kids with no fiscal repercussions. The Florida shooter was a white kid, but because of adoption, he had a Hispanic name, thus reasonably immune from arrest.
Obama’s regulation in many communities created an environment that local gangs began to exploit, because gangland crime was safe for minorities to commit on school property, especially toward the end of the month when the numbers were reported to Feds, and schools had to keep the numbers down. This is nationwide, gangs go so far as to schedule drug deliveries for the end of the month because they know police and school authorities will likely stand down.
We have laws about drug dealing and gun possession near schools, but those laws aren’t enforced when schools don’t call the police, or police just stand down.
The Obama admin claimed they were trying to protect minority’s from police excesses with this regulation, but all they did was promote and protect crime on school property, especially when it victimized minorities. Call me skeptical, but the intent and obvious results are diametrically apposed, and I think they knew it.

He has done an exceptional job with his conservative Judge appointments (and there have been hundreds)plus he will get to choose at lease 1 more Supreme Court Justice and the ones retiring are Liberals. The Constitution did not grant natural rights to man — just counted some — also, limited the scope of govt.
By that logic, a Constitutionalist would certainly have limited an omnibus spending bill.

Mandatory schooling is purchased with a property tax. You are not formally allowed to own the land, in allodium.
You also have a tradition, against standing armies, in which, praetors are an organ of the state, to coerce the people.
That property tax money? Yeah, that’s another thing seniors have to worry about. It doesn’t go away automatically once a senior is retired. Oh, some states/counties have methods for modification or waiving but it’s on an annual basis so miss a deadline and the senior is up the financial creek–yet another way to prove financial ineptitude.
Non-payment is considered a sign of mental ineptitude, which can result in a loss of freedoms, for psychiatric reasons.

When I was a soldier I would judge men that would not take up for themselves as yellow. Then when we get shot at they would fight like tigers [To stay alive].Hard to tell what a man will do before it starts.
The problem is that every bill this large always has provisions that we don’t like. They do this to every bill so that if you’re against it, they can say on TV that you voted against the good things in the bill.
They did this countless times to Sen. Jesse Helms (R-NC). He said he would never vote for certain things, so the Democrats made sure that some of those things were included in almost every otherwise good bill that was put to a vote.
The solution to this would be to have the actual spending bill just authorize totals for various categories, such as military, bureaucrat salaries, foreign aid, etc. Then, each line item would need to be separately voted on, so that conservatives could vote down each one that needed it, or the President could veto each one that needed it.
These 2,000 page monsters need to be eliminated entirely.

A revolution IS a civil war. Make no mistake about it, our revolution in 1776 was most definitely a civil war, because many in the colonies sided with Britain. This was particularly true in the southern colonies.
No doubt, there are many now who will side with the deep state. I would anticipate it being much like it was in 1860 among the military. There will be those who will not be willing to go against the Constitution and liberty.

We tend to attribute the start of the revolution to what happened at Lexington and Concord, but there had been a long series of events that led up to that.

After Trump signed this budget bill I am suspending my support for him. I am a Southerner who voted for Trump, I believed his promises about being an uncompromising proponent of the 2nd Amendment, balancing the budget, and building the Wall. Instead he has caved to TPTB agenda. He did get our federal taxes lower, but even that runs out in 7 years. The budget bill he just signed is only for the next 6 months; he is going to have to take the bull by the horns by then because he has broken too many campaign promises, he is rapidly losing his support base. This new budget bill highlights the fact there is a difference in ideology between Democrats and Republicans, but in practice there is not. This bill is a legislatively manufactured wreck and they all know it; gigantic deficit spending, new rules curtailing gun rights, total funding of Planned Parenthood, giving sanctuary cities and states full funding, but almost no money for the Wall, the Democratic Party could not have written a budget bill they like better. Now we learn that just like the ObamaCare bill, this budget bill wasn’t even read by most Rep’s and Sen’s before voting for it.
More catastrophic debt has been added, they’re not even talking about that, because it doesn’t make a difference anymore. It is really totally beyond any control, it is totally unpayable, there is going to be god awful financial reckoning in our country. As interest rates go up, and it is because it must, you will see the costs of financing the debt skyrocket making budgets un- doable. The bond markets will be crushed. This business is all just a farce. Unfortunately, a farce with consequences. The majority of Americans don’t realize we are in the most gravest financial situation facing the most dire of consequences, I believe the reasons so many Republicans are leaving Congress after this session is because they know a) nothing can be fixed, and b) they don’t want any blame for the huge problems that are coming soon.
I am now more than ever convinced that we need a “Convention of States” to limit the breadth and scope of our Federal Government. We need to have local accountability, and the ability to pull our representatives from Washington if they don’t vote in accordance with their constituents. It’s the only way we will ever get term limits, the repeal of the 17th amendment. (Allowing the States to appoint their Senators and giving them the ability to recall them from Washington if the don’t serve the will of their State legislators.) Not to mention so much more. In my opinion it is the only Constitutional measure that will allow for the peaceful transition of Government back to a Constitutional Republic. Anything else will add up to civil war or Democide.

When people are too quick to blame declining memory and physical health to aging alone, they stop looking for other causes. Aging does cause some deterioration in our health, but not as much as see in people we label “old”. The effects of “aging” are due to other factors as well. If Americans fully understood what was causing deteriorating memories and health, they would be angry enough to do something about it. Instead, they lay it all up to “growing older”.
We’ve all been told what you should do to reduce the effects of aging. Be physically and mentally active, socially interact with other people, keep your weight down, eat a healthy diet, etc. They’re all good points but there is more.
The buildup of heavy metals and the decline in our microbiome account for a lot of the decline in memory, mental abilities, and physical health. They are at least in part reversible. What we are seeing as an inevitable part of aging isn’t inevitable.
