       For those folks that cannot or will not carry a firearm for protection from the predators, might I make a suggestion: carry in your car a spray can of wasp spray, the kind that shoots 25ft. Quite effective on all kinds of vermin. Hit them in the eyes and a quick trip to the ER is in order.

               My point is NOT to dis Canadian workers. My point is that there are millions of Americans who are unemployed right now. The government should be focusing on employing AMERICANS, rather than sending jobs abroad.

               I was also upset when I read about cities hiring Chinese workers to build bridges and roads in the United States in 2011. No one can convince me they couldn’t find any American construction workers to do those jobs.

           MICoyote: Maybe, maybe not. After the Zimmerman trial prosecutors are going to be even more cautious about charging someone in questionable ‘deadly force’ cases. By the way, most cases are not questionable because there are almost always cameras and or eye witnesses. And if it’s two or more against one, the shooter isn’t going to spend a minute in jail unless one of the perps is shot in the back. In NYC were one can’t even have a gun, the SUV driver and his wife were beaten by a gang of motor cyclers. So, he gets a beating and survives. Lucky him. Here in Florida there would have been a couple of dead bikers because at least 1 in 10 folks carry a concealed weapon (pistol), not to mention shotguns. But then again, that’s why you’ll never see these road rage or teen gangs like other states because folks down here know they stand a real chance of getting shot if they pull that crap.

The judicial system won’t do anything to someone who makes an unjustifiable criminal attack on someone, but they have no problem punishing would-be victims who act in self-defense.          A recently discovered skull in the former Soviet Republic of Georgia may challenge the traditional notions of human evolution.

         Researchers writing for Science Magazine found skulls at Dmanisi, one of which bore a strong resemblance to skeletons found in Africa from the time period.

         The significance? The various species predating Homo Sapiens may have been subsets of the same species rather than different species as the traditional evolutionary theory posits.

         “The Dmanisi sample, which now comprises five crania, provides direct evidence for wide morphological variation within and among early Homo paleodemes,” reads the article’s abstract in part.

         “This implies the existence of a single evolving lineage of early Homo, with phylogeographic continuity across continents.”

         Christoph Zollikofer, researcher with Zurich’s Anthropological Institute and Museum who coauthored the article, called it “an extraordinary find in many respects.”

         Some kids are actually good and moral, certainly not as many as there should be but they are out there. I feel sorry for them when the indoctrinated youth grow up and most of the backbone types in this country are either too old to care or gone. As of now, there are more than two million homeschoolers in this country. They will have their work cut out for them when they have to deal with the brain dead, immoral, greedy, lazy and desperate next generation of Obama zombies that the educational system is raising.

         A brief example, my 16 year old Son is homeschooled but he does attend an automotive tech. class that the public school offers. When you homeschool, you have the option to take electives at the public school. We drive him there and pick him up every day, the class is about an hour and a half and is actually quite exemplary, last year he took small engine repair. Today, three of the immoral little punks got in his face and drew a penis on his back pack because he wouldn’t let them copy his test answers. My Son stood up, he is 6’2″ and calmly told them to remove the drawing or they would have a problem, and if they wanted to know what the problem was then don’t remove it, they immediately erased the drawing and slid back to their seats.

         My Son has strength of character and doesn’t care about impressing anyone who he sees as a loser. I asked him what he would have done if they didn’t remove it and he said he hadn’t thought that far ahead but said he probably would have dared them to make the first move and if they did then all bets were off. I really couldn’t argue with that. I was proud.

           I do find it interesting that one of the statements made in the Scope / Monkey trial back in the 1920’s that was made by the ‘pro-evolution’ side of the issue which apparently had a positive impact on the long range objective of the actual intent of the trial was: “it is the hight of bigotry to allow only one side of an argument to be presented as ‘fact’ in our schools” – creation.

           Since then, the ‘creation’ account has been successfully removed and replaced with only evolution – which is presented predominately as ‘fact’. Wow. And look at all the failed attempts to get ‘both’ sides to be presented ‘again’ in the public school system. Talk about bigotry.

           Anyway, I too would be (and – I am) proud to have a son like yours. Bully for him – no pun intended.

       “Carrying Anyway”? How do you do that? Its impossible.

       Oh, You mean, “I’m going to carry inspite of what the law breaking polititions have written on worthless sheets of payer that tell me I cant.”

       Color of law is not law. The Constitution is law.

       If you get caught and they try to “Color Of Law” you butt, do this: at first contact with the paid liar/thug/jackboot/tyranny agent say, “Officer, I have rights protected by the constitution and I declare all of them. Most notably I separately declare my right to keep and bear arms. Do you intend to infringe on my rights?”

       The recent Salinas vs. Texas SCOTUS case has proven two things:

       1) You do not have your rights in the constitution unless you declare them.

       2) One may ask, “Why do we have to declare them?” Reason: The defacto (default) system of laws is *NOT* common/constitutional law!!!

       The UCC (Uniform Commercial Code, AKA Admiralty Law) is what we run under by default. But! They can get away with it *ONLY* because of our ignorance. Under the UCC you have no right to bear arms, however, the UCC cannot be beligerent to the “Supreme Law Of The Land”. As such, when you declare your rights you, essentially create a “constitutional zone” on the ground on which you stand.

       Its a backup position. Personally I carry EVERYWHERE I can get away with it. …and I work in some places I am not supposed to carry according to state (color of) law.

       Do not feel powerless! Even if you have signed away many of your rights, you have not signed them away for good.

       DECLARE THEM! They are only yours if you declare them.

     The internal rot is not just in America. It’s all over the world. You can read stories like this everywhere, It’s hard to say whether its different today or whether it is just more publicized, given the advent of mass media.

     There is clearly a movement in the young black community to take their frustrations out on the white population wherever they can, but lets remember that the CIA has been targeting the inner cities with drugs for decades.

     If you are white, move to Arizona, conceal carry a weapon and shoot any gang of young thugs that threaten you. Most of these assaults occur in “gun free states” where justice and instant karma is not likely to be served by a potential victim with a concealed firearm.

     WE are in the Last Days and the breakdown of society will get worse, not better, unless justice is served by the barrel of a gun in self defense. Even a 32 auto would have deterred many of these crimes.

     An armed society is a polite society. Forewarned is well armed. Engage your employees or be disarmed and left defenseless by them. 🙂

         Some suggest that the ‘inner-cities’ are targeted simply because they are the most vulnerable. Those who for the most part live in despair are probably also the most receptive to any sort of ‘temporary escape’ offered; irregardless of the long term cost.

         Vicious rumor also has it that the CIA uses the profits of their drug dealing in the inner cities to fund some of their more disgusting crimes against humanity; the really secret ones that they can’t get funded through Congress.

         I have no way of knowing for sure, but I would, sadly, be willing to believe almost anything about our beloved government. We, as a nation, certainly DON’T hold the ‘moral-high-ground’ in the world anymore; if we ever did.

And it’s no coincidence that 3 things all happened at basically the same time – 1) the privatizing of the prison system, 2) Clinton’s “100,000 new cops on the street” programs, and 3) the sudden unflux of crack cocaine into the inner cities. They’re all tied together, and it’s no big secret that the CIA has been flying the drugs in here for decades. Google plane + “Cocaine One”.

           Trust me on this one- I have first hand, personal knowledge and experience that in the mid ’80’s, the CIA was indeed involved in trafficking coke in Central America. I was there (in Honduras) at the time and we were requested by them to use our export business as cover to “assist” them. We turned them down, and it wasn’t until 20 years later that we put all the pieces together of what was going on. Just glad we did what was right- instead of caving in to our temptations.

           You must understand washington state is perceived as Seattle. It would be like Texas being judged by Dallas county……..
           Outside of the blue zones we are generally pretty good people.
           Much better than what I see when I return home to visit Texas nowadays.
           Also it is very easy to get a concealed carry permit here a few $$ and sign on the line.
           No BS like I had to go thru in Texas to get one. Crime is much lower than in Texas and so are my taxes. And yes I own a business I can assure the taxes are much lower.

Following those laws has a price tag, which all too often is some good person’s life.        Or move to Wyoming. No concealed weapons permit required as long as you are a resident over 21, not a convicted felon, not judged insane or alcoholic/drug addicted, etc.

       There are just a few places you can’t carry — jails, police stations, some courtrooms, schools, etc. They tried to pass a law allowing cc in schools last session, but it failed this time — maybe next year.

       As for courthouses, here in Big Horn County, there is a sign saying no weapons on the 2nd floor. The District Court is on the second floor. Weapons are allowed on the first floor where the Assessor, Clerk, and Treasurer reside, and on the 3rd floor where family court is, and in the basement where the Circuit Court and Small Claims Court are, as well as the County Attorney’s Office.

             Wyoming has some of the best, most salt of the earth people in the world. If anyone were to spend some time there they would not want to leave. Places like Sheridan, Pinedale, and Cody. Hell I would even pick Lusk over most places in this country. The only two places I didn’t really care for was Gillette and Rock Springs.
             When that Super volcano goes off, it is a game changer for humanity. Will make a currency collapse look like a mild recession by comparison. When people read about what they think will happen to the entire globe after an eruption of that magnitude they will realize that Arizona might be a “fools paradise” as well. Right DK?

Every place in the country has its own hazards — hurricanes in the South, tornadoes in the Midwest, earthquakes in CA, a volcano in the Canary Islands to cause a massive tsunami in the Northeast. Then there are nuclear reactors in most parts of the country, viruses, nucrear targets, too many people who could form mobs.

               In Big Horn County, we are far from any nuclear targets or reactors, far from population centers, and the wind patters protect us from nuclear explosions in the West. Population centers subject people to several potential disasters — large mobs of hungry people, disease outbreaks, targets for enemy bombs, and there is less chance that the army would bother to come and try to disarm us as there are too few of us to do any damage.

IF Yellowstone goes the only place in the 48 states that would be survivable would be a small little setion of soothern oregon and the southeastern portion of the US anyway.      This goes a lot further than the gun argument. And besides, a gun doesn’t fix all problems, just like a hammer isn’t the tool for all jobs. Although it is hard to argue with the effectiveness of a gun in alleviating some of the symptoms of the current state of decay.

     And DK is right. The problem is in other places too. Swarming-type attacks were the exception just a few short years ago and now there are places where I wouldn’t want to be after the sun goes down, and a few where I don’t event want to drive through as fast as possible wi my windows rolled up and the doors locked in broad daylight. And that is in Ottawa, Canada.

     Not even Vancouver or Montreal or Toronto.

     Over here, self defence with a firearm is one of these things that is effectively restricted only to the cops. For a mere mortal to prove self-defence instead of a homicide takes a minor miracle. To do so with a gun, especially one of those classified as Restricted such as a handgun (that isn’t .25 ACP or .32 and had a barrel length greater than 4.05 inches – otherwise it’s prohibited) or an AR-family rifle, that practically requires The Almighty to come down for the heavens and announce it was a righteous shoot. Otherwise, the would-be victim becomes the guilty party and is carted off to jail with the heaviest sentences possible. In the meantime some scumbag gangbanger who gets caught committing a crime with a gun gets a slap on the wrist for pleading guilty to an armed offence and weapon dangerous so the gun charges get dropped and he’s right back out on the street almost instantly.

     I certainly wish concealed carry was a widely available lawful option up here. However, I believe it was in 76 when politicians with armed bodyguards decided the average Canadian didn’t need guns for self-defence and it no linger was a valid reason for a private citizen to own a gun except on a case by case basis.

     And get this. The vast majority of Canadian cops isn’t even allowed to take their service pistols home and are required to store them at the police station. And by that same token, off-duty carry is a minuscule portion of these above officers. However, any criminal judge or prosecutor can just ask and he can wind up with a police-issued gun and a carry permit without even having to get his firearms license, while us little people have to jump through all the hoops and keep our pistols either locked up or in use at the range.

       Agree totally: I think it is being caused by two things: warfare and welfare. These two factors are leading to the failure of the North American prosperity model of society. While immigration is at record levels, we are not seeing the economic boost from that. Instead, many migrants are ending up on public assistance of one form or another. While they rot there, they grow contemptuous of the society around them; they loath Canada, its people and culture (and who wouldn’t if you had no ability to connect to the place?).

       This is unsustainable and is why we are seeing an exponential increase in degenerate and violent behaviour. Human beings need to feel connection, to have hope that things will get better, and to feel that their contribution matters. They also need to work and to do things: the old saying ‘devil makes use of idle hands’ still stands true.

       Many of these people come from very conservative societies and so go completely mental in the ‘free’ West. In human history, there has never been an experiment like this: the mass movement of people from poor and conservative societies to freer places that are also experiencing significant economic decline brought on by debt. Well, there was Rome and we know how that ended…

       I can’t stand the Browning HP. Granted the ones I’ve worked with were our standard-issue ones, which are old WWII stock, made under license by Inglis and unless we get the new-build aftermarket mags, good luck cycling more than 1 or 2 rounds at a time.

       Not to mention my pistol literally falling apart during a range qualification, the takedown pin falling right out when changing mags and the slide flying off when I hit the release.

       So yeah maybe I got some bad experiences with that pistol and that’s why I wouldn’t be caught dead spending money on one.

           And just so we are clear, I’m not knocking your choice of gun. I personally don’t like the Browning HP. Perhaps if I handled a good one instead of the pieces of crap I’m used to I might change my mind but I’m already pretty biased against them.

           Mind you my favourite 9mm to date is the Sig P225 (with almost a half inch of aftermarket barrel sticking out the slide so it is legal here in Canada where pistol barrels less than 105mm/4.05″ in length are prohibited) with night sights. I like the fit and weight in the hand, the Sig quality, action and controls and it shoots well. I’ve even been called a effing moron by some Glock fanboy because I prefer that older, discontinued model over his then-brand-new Gen 3 Glock 17 (nope, I don’t much like Glocks either, they just don’t feel right in my hands and I don’t like the action or the feel of the trigger and it’s integrated safety – and while they are very capable pistols with a proven track record, they’re just not for me)

   What I can’t believe is the rapid decay of society in the past 10 years, past 5 years. You look at these sick music videos out and how people are moving away from just basic decency. Not censorship prude type of decency either. Just what is right and wrong. People are so political correct poisoned that they can’t even say what they really think anymore without being attacked and even having one’s First Amendment rights violated under the premise that someone is preaching a threat, hate and inciting a riot or something, or just disturbing the peace. Just look at how kids can’t even talk about the @nD Amendment because of absolute zero policy ant-firearms in schools.

   The decay of the society is going hand and hand in with the decay of the economy. There is just no fire left in 90-99% of the people anymore to strive for better. It reminds me of the doldrums towards the equator in which the wind just dies off and the sails of the ship go down and no one mores other than with the currect of the ocean. This is what is happening right now, people are drifting with the currect of BO and the welfare state as the ONLY means of a society. It is a sad state of affairs.

   People right now have no ambition. Sure they get into the medical fields, not usually to help people but to make money. You make good money in legal dope being prescribed and the crazy health care costs that will go up much, much more with BO care. It is a frozen society right now, like an engine sputtering along until it finally kills up some hill. That hill is the national debt that is exploding e to the X.

     Good evening, BI. I have to echo your sentiments. I wasn’t on here much over the weekend due to a family issue, but now I’m back in full form. Like I said in my first post on here, the people that have brought us as a nation and as a people to this point need to be held accountable and punished accordingly. If I ever encounter any of them, it will be a quick bullet to the head; just get it over with for they’ve earned it. They have difficulties with writing technical reports, interpersonal skills disappear, they zone out in meetings, fixate on trivia, logic skills are below par, can’t meet a deadline, use personal time to excess, and think they are the smartest people in the building.

       And, like the alcoholics, make the most blatent mistakes in their work and will not take responsibility for it.

       I’ll take two clean high-school graduates over any three pothead college kids any day of the week, and get good results with them, too.

You look at the young people and their behavior, well how would anyone expect them to behave when their country’s leaders, and all their role models, are complete despots, and high crimes are allowed to be committed without consequence all over our economy. Banks stealing trillions, no one goes to jail. Drug companies lying and killing thousands, no one goes to jail. The Constitution being violated over and over, no one goes to jail.    @ Mac. I have been thinking about all the key words that cause this 404 error and all the people that have spent their time typing in a message and forgot to save it and lost it. There is something wrong. I can’t believe that little sentence that eveybody tried to send was stopped. What the hell is going on? Is the government trying to prevent certain words from getting posted? Is this some sort of code or something that someone doesn’t want out there. Can you do anything about this, or is the site at the mercy of the government or some other jackass out there trying to cause you problems. I am now worried about anything I write down. Even some totally benign set of words could send the site back to the 404 error message.

   By the way what is that 404 error message. If there was a bad word out there that would hurt the site, then you would think it would go to moderation and then you would tell the person not to talk a certain way as it was hazardous to the site. What was so disturbing about that sentence that no one could get it through unless they wrote it backwards or used numbers to letters to show it? I think a lot of us want to know why the 404 error message and why could not someone get through to your personal contact page that NO ONE OTHER THAN YOU would see with certain words or sentences?

     404 is the error code that appears when your local computer was able to communicate to the net server, but the server was unable to find the requested paqe. Usually because of a bad character or two in the request, or more often because the page has been taken down by the proprietor of web site, without providing any redirection. Crime was very low and punishment by the justice system was more swift and certain. Most people worked and pulled their own weight. My, how times have changed. We’re now almost 180 degrees from what we used to be. There are a great many times now when I’m afraid to approach anyone for any reason. There’s so many sick, insane, cold-blooded people out here these days. You don’t know what the hell to expect from anyone anymore. This country is going to fall and there’s nothing anyone can do to stop it. We’ve been going through collapse since the 2008 financial crisis and it’s still ongoing. we’re falling almost exactly like the Roman Empire did, only worse in some ways. I really dread what I’ll have to do whenever any animals come to my place to take what I have. Some nights I have nightmares about it. I try my best not to think about it. But I know that one day it will happen and I have to be prepared to do the right thing. Mentally and physically I believe I’m as prepared as I can be. I know it will be a life-changing event and I’ll never be the same again. But I also know it’s either me or them and I decided it’s NOT going to be me! TO HELL AND DAMNATION WITH ALL OF THE EVIL PEOPLE THAT HAVE BROUGHT MY COUNTRY TO THIS POINT! The people who have been working to destroy my country don’t even deserve any legal proceedings; just a quick bullet to the base of the skull and be done with it!      Braveheart, I’ve recently had to battle an asthma attack. I had to sleep in a recliner in my living room rather than lying down in bed. My chair faced the front door and I’d find myself waking up at odd hours to see if anybody was in the yard.

     Didn’t have that problem while I was upstairs in my bed.

     Sure enough, someone came into the yard, walked around back and made off with two bags of aluminum cans we had for the Church youth group. Here in Oregon they’re worth a nickle apiece.

     In the past I’ve had a kid’s bicycle stolen off the front porch and the neighbor had two bikes taken out of his garage. People are getting more desperate and less honest.

     Yesterday I scored a used (but still good) security door for the front of the house. This week I’m going to look into a set of 2″ X 2″ heavy wire screens for the lower floor windows. Before I’m done, I’ll be living as if I were in prison.

     Back in ’96 I got jumped by three young hispanic “youths” who proceeded to kick the sh!t out of me. It happened at a local park after a night baseball game and a couple of the players who heard me screaming like a little girl ran over with their baseball bats to chase off my new-found friends. In cleaning up the area afterward we found a small, serrated-edge knife — open! One of my attackers had spent an inordinate amount of time trying to get me to raise my head, apparently so he could cut my throat!

     So no, Dorothy, this isn’t Kansas anymore. I’m not exactly sure just where we are but it’s not hard to see where we’re going.

       Security doors etc, and then i remember, huh, what am i going to do with my sliding door? We have a 16′ wide sliding door that looks out over the central valley and south maui and a couple other islands. Think ill just keep the view and let go and let God on some of this stuff,
       Luckily we dont really have huge problems with theft YET.
       There are burglaries now and then but are isolated in our area.
       Got to just get me some crockodiles for my pond!

   Its sad but true. We had a sort of homeless guy who would pick up cans around here for money, He didn’t bother anyone and he wouldn’t even except handouts. Some guy killed him with a brick for no apparent reason. Its because of the give me croud, the mothers not disciplining, no fathers and so many other issues that happen to falling empires.

   Its only getting worse, its a lot different from when I grew up. I was rasied diffrent and I hate to say It.. but its even affecting me. Seeing what goes on now it makes me not care as much for others, its just to hard to trust people. I can only hope that things work out in the end, hard times makes people appreciate life more. As bad as things may get deep down I think we need some adversity, just hope I live to see what comes of it.

   I have quit saving, stacking silver or gold. The object now is to make it through the period safely when people go totally nuts. To that end, I spend my “savings” on food, ammo, meds, communication, lighting, etc.

    Did everyone expect the blessing was going to linger without the creator? There really is no hope beyond the hand of God at anytime, its just that we are now watching what has become of America without its moral compass.

    Does everyone think we can return to being the bastion of freedom and prosperity we were without guidance from above? We are screwed and nothing except repentance will change the direction this nation is headed.

    And, most people in this country could care less what is happening around them. Most people in this country think they are entitled to all they can eat, and all the entertainment they can stand.

    Really, all this began decades ago, and has even been directed in very subtle ways. Everything good and right that built not just America, but all of Western Civilization, has been subverted and usurped from within. This is not something “voting” will fix, because, the fix is in.

    All that’s left, is the inevitable crash.

      What we are looking at isn’t just an economic collapse. It is a complete collapse of Western civilization. May be there is a flaw in the human race that occurs when the population reaches a certain level causing society to crash. The empirical data of past civilizations , Rome , Greece , Egypt, ancient China, Aztecs, Mayans, Incas, have all reach a zenith of development then collapsed, a pattern develops . Maybe the human race has a built in kill switch? How many civilizations have gone before ? Our history only extends 5000 years into the past with records even though modern humans have existed for 1 million years.

How many times has this occurred before? Modern society has the capability to destroy everything never in history have we had the means of total annilation scorching the planet to a devoid of all life.

          Having the Death Penality Is only a law. It doesn’t assure the reciepent will be executed. All it actually does is make lawyers rich from the endless appeals. It usually takes decades before those convicted are executed.

            Children have no fathers in their life to instahl fear. My dad only wipped me once and my Mom was an over agressive wipp happy adult. I never once laid a finger on my mom because I knew my dad was a sleeping giant. He worked 3rd shift at the firehouse and all day at their business. Looking back now I’m glad I was the kid that never got to stay out late and I now realize my parents cared about my well being and the kids that got to stay out all night… for the most part are now in jail or drug addicts.

            My daughter was 16 and trying to hang out with with gang members from her high school. Two of them had the balls to come to my door late one evening, sporting handguns under their coats. I answered the door with nothing more than the 16 inch butcher’s knife I was cutting up chicken with. They were looking for her…My daughter didn’t get past me to go with them and they didn’t feel comfortable trying to get past me, into my house.

            I was outnumbered and outgunned, but I wasn’t backing down either. I let them think about whether they could retrieve their guns before I struck out at their chests. I think most parents would’ve cowered.

            If a parent doesn’t have the guts to fight for their child, who will?

I see the biggest problem today as parents being too scared of CPS, law enforcement, and the courts to raise their children the right way. For the past 3 decades parents have been told if they give loving, legitimate discipline to their children, they will be charged with child abuse, their lives destroyed, and the kids will end up in foster homes with only God knows what type of people. If I had kids, I would raise them according to my beliefs, AND TO HELL WITH CPS, LEO, LIBERAL JUDGES, ETC. if anyone tried to hurt me over that, there would be consequences for them. braveheart

            We never cussed in the house, ever! Once, I don’t know what possessed my younger brother(he was definately the black sheep in the family)but after a heated arguement with my father, my brother told him to ‘f’-off. I couldn’t believe it! I was sayin’ to myself in my head ‘yep, tomorrow I’m goin’ to a funeral!’ My dad picked up a cast iron skillet from the stove, and I thought he was going to kill him right there on the spot! I have never seen such self control on anyone’s face as I did that day as my dad struggled with his emotions. To this day I believe the discipline my dad got from being in the army and fighting in WWII prevented a sure a swift retribution upon my younger brother…although the stove took a terrible beating from my dad, as he knocked a corner of it off with the skillet, instead of my brothers noggin.
            Discipline, self control, honor, doing the right thing, all displayed by my father in this situation…sadly lacking in so many folk’s these days.

    The only change possible is when individuals “go Galt”. These are all tiny decisions taken alone, but they can grow to become a tsunami. When you stop putting $ in your 401K or IRA and start buying long term food storage, gardening materials, guns and ammo, PMs etc you are making tiny Galt decisions that may someday add up to a quiet (well, maybe quiet) revolution. All that is necessary for the machine to break is for a sufficient number of people to say “no”. We are all seeing it. It grows daily. When people make the choice to get off the treadmill and start preparing as best they can they are refusing to buy in, to go along, and believe the propaganda. Big decisions like moving, changing careers and liquidating traditional assets and businesses are the last steps from a prepared individual. God speed your absorption of logic, reason and faith. God gave us intelligence but didn’t compel us to always use it.

      We try to do that as much as possible. Yesterday was a home grown food day. Everything we ate was grown & processed entirely by us. No middlemen and most importiantly no taxes paid to anyone in government. We also purchase items in the internet if its free shipping and out of state so there is no sales tax. We can eventually starve the beast. barter and black market are becoming more prevalent. Ive been trading firewood for all sorts of things No cash or taxes involved.

True, some items are not exactly what I was wishing for or top of the line, but I’ve got good enough until I can buy the item I really wanted. With the middle class, which is the law-and-order class, having abandoned the cities, the pressure for law enforcement there has dwindled to nothing. The rump population in (e.g. Detroit) soon see an open door for every form of crime and corruption known to man, and if it isn’t known, they’ll invent it. Just like that mob that trashed the MalMart when they thought the EBT card limit was removed. Opportunity demands action! No consequences!

    Meanwhile the white folks in (e.g. Oakland and Macomb counties), go tsk, tsk, but since it’s all happening below 8 Mile, they don’t really give a damn.

    I use Detroit only because I lived too close to it for 15 years, so I have some inkling of the attitudes of Michiganders outside Wayne county.

      Dave, the basic problem lies much deeper than what you suggest. This has been coming down the pike for over a hundred years. I know full-well that I’m going to be called some bad names for this, but this was brought on by Women Suffrage and the subsequent breakdown of the family. Sure, it was accelerated by a couple of wars which “required” women to leave the home and make money to feed their kids, but by digging a bit it’s obvious that the many of the underlying reasons for those wars was the aforementioned breakdown of the family unit.

      In order for Mom could to off to the office or the factory, the kids had to be warehoused. Enter the public school system where all the basic tenets of the Marxist system were touted and reinforced. Now – with very rare exceptions – kids have no idea of respect for or obedience to the one parent they know. And why should they? That lone parent is just an earlier version of them and – in time – they’ll continue the cycle.

      America – as we knew it – is in a death spiral! All we can do is save it in small areas. Seccession anyone?

    I agree with Durango, I feel like the decay really accelerated with all of the factory jobs being moved out of our country. I grew up with two parents that were blue collar workers all of their lives. Things were more prosperous then, work ethics were a little different. My dad died never owning a credit card, because he believed that you don’t buy what you can’t pay for, and he imparted this ideal into his children.

    I grew up in a small town that housed many factories, quaker oats, levi, lee, Swift, Carnation, Purina were among some of them. When the early 90’s came, one by one these factories shut down and were moved out of the country. What happened after this was, of course, unemployment, young and elderly people returning to college and wracking up student debt, homelessness, rise in crime, and increase in welfare recipients. It has really gone down hill even more, ever since.

    My parents were able to work their jobs, make enough money to make the house payments, pay the doctor, and put food on the table, with just enough for a summer vacation each year and a little put back in savings for the retirement nest egg. I look back at this and shake my head, because this is something that’s hardly attainable now, not even with a college degree.

    Sorry to ramble, but the post about societal decay has really gotten to me tonight. It strengthens my resolve to prepare for the future, and I feel that this is all that I can do.

    I moved away from California years back, when I started to see signs of things getting even worse, and went to a place that has very few people, deep in the woods. I don’t really know if I’m any safer up here, but for now I’m farther away from the insanity in the inner cities.

    In addition to my post above, I wanted to say that my husband and I are preparing. We might be late comers, but better late than never. The other day he told me it’s time to get a gun. I looked over at him in shock, because I’ve known this man for 14 years. He used to be a hippie and a pacifist lol. I woke up in 2005, and he came around in 2012. It was such a strange time when we were on separate pages, but I got him to come around! We spend a lot of our time discussing how we’re going to get ready, and putting a lot of ideas into action.

    I’m going back to the ways of my grandmother, who baked her own bread, had a garden, put up vegetables, and knew how to do almost anything because she was a farm girl. I’m lucky that she taught me how to do these things when I was little, but I never really carried it on throughout my life, because I fell into that trap where I depended on everything just being there for me. Entertainment, fast food, etc.

    Many people will have to change the way they live, and the way they do things in order to survive. But are they capable? I don’t see how many of the people who have made welfare their lifestyle, and are completely dependent upon the govt, being able to know how to do anything. As it is now, you can use food stamps on your EBT at fast food restaurants in some states. How many know how to cook, garden, can your food, hunt responsibly? And how many are willing to return to the old ways, rather than gang up with mobs of people and just pillage and burn their communities? I think we’ll see flash mobs robbing everything that they can. And I also think many people are going to feel a hard cold slap of reality hit them when EBT is cut off. People will go crazy. Women will stand outside in grocery store parking lots and cry about how they are going to feed their children. Their men will stand helplessly next to them in a begging posture, hoping someone will come to the rescue. No one is going to come to the rescue. Once that settles in, then anger and rage will take over, the sense of entitlement kicks in, and the pillaging begins.

    This is what I fear, and what I know we will be facing. I live in a very small area yes, up in the woods. But I also know it’s a matter of time before these people make their way up here, and I need to figure out how I’m going to be able to defend myself. My dad once told me, don’t ever get a gun unless you intend to use it. I think he’s right. And now that my husband is wanting a gun, I see he understands what we are up against, and that someday soon, we may have to use it in order to survive. It scares me, but it’s reality.

    Off the topic here….I’ve got the whole 6th grade private /international homeschooling book sets ( students, parents sets, lab set, reading books etc) if anyone wants them….I chose this private/ international path due to some homeschooling follows the same path as public schools…this is metric system in math and all subjects your child has to get 80 or higher to pass,,, If you do it online , its 70.00 a month,,,,, very well worth it

    During the Great Depression a little over 12 million Americans died from starvation out of a population of 124 million. That is 10% of the population perished.

    7million from the cities and 5 million in the Rural areas. This was in a time when God was in the families, as a Nation we had higher morals and neighbors helped each other.

    Today do we even know our neighbors, I don’t know if people know how to even spell morals and God is lacking in the family, by definition the family unit is shrinking while there are now over 20,000 “Violent Gangs” consisting of well over 1.3 million “Violent Gang members”.

    There are more dependent on gov with less being self sufficient, which brings up a question.

    Have you really done everything you could have to survive and to protect your family?

    To correct this government and it’s influence must be reduced, Christianity must be reinserted and we must stop the flow of immigration of foreigner’s who refuse to acclimate to our way of life.

            I challenge you to read the Bible from front to back and tell me there isn’t a GOD. It cannot be done. The Bible has an affect on all who digest it. I was raised in a cult like church and when I turned 18 I moved out and went wild. It took a life threatning situation to get me to seek out GOD on my own. I learned most people know what others tell them about GOD instead of reading the Bible. Just remember, we are predestined for our faith according to Paul so I beleive GOD knows which are his and which will be lost.

            Saying a prayer for you because a life without GOD/hope is no life to live. If you offered me a briefcase full of a million in cash and told me the only thing I had to do is never pray or speak to GOD again; I would tell you that isn’t possible because GOD is my friend, counselor, father, leader, and strength just to name a few.

            Remember, people give Christians a bad name because many profess to be saved but in no way practice what the Bible tells us. You will meet many who say they are Christians, but in no way give GOD his 10% in tithes. That is one of the hardest things to do as a Christian so most people just skip that one.

            I’m not judging, just trying to give you my experience in becoming a Christian because if I wouldn’t have read the Bible, I still would have hatred to all Christians because I figured they were all like the cult my parents church is a part of.

              Giving tithes does not make you a Christian, nor is it an index of true Christian spirit, such that the lack of tithing means you are not a true Christian.

              In addition, if we are strictly predestined to have faith, why plead with the individual? It is much more likely that there is a complex interplay between God’s sovereignty and man’s free will. How can the Bible say “He is NOT willing that ANY should perish” if He is indeed willing that some SHOULD perish?

              And, do not forget that “whosoever” is broad indeed, when the Bible says “whosoever believes…”

              And in Luke, when they asked, “who, then can be saved?” Remember: “But, He said ‘the things that are impossible with people are possible with God.”

              You are a legalist, which is likewise frowned upon by Jesus, and your attitude is discouraging to prospective new Christians.

    Two weeks ago in Wilmington a gang member was killed by Law Enforcement and in return, the gang (Bloods) made a threat that an officer in NC would be killed. I saw the email alert sent to an officer. Also, the gang member had a active criminal record and had been on probation several times.

    @ tired of ny bs, and Old Coach. I can understand dangerous words or images, or something that could cause a virus on a computer to prevent a key word or two from being allowed on a cimputer, but what I was trying to send was absurd. 12 words, that others have called the forbidden sentence caused everyone to not be able to get through and get that 404 error message. It was not threatening, just a statement about how those at the top of a pyramid exploit and get everything from those below them. Which of course is too true. As I mentioned before the two words, poker face, caused the same issue before last year. I mean it would not even allow Mac to get it.

    I have had this happen several times, and most of the time I just retype what was written. This time I sent Mac a very long article that took much time to write and it really got me wondering what was being said that was being censored. When I narrowed it down through sending mac pieces of it that did go through, I was mystified why something like this would blocked everything else.

    Really, I wrote about just how rotten a government can become and what to look for with a truly evil government. I thought someone saw this and no way was going to let sections of it or all of it from reaching Mac to see it. I may be extremely into earthquakes because the system I have can forecast them with some degree of accuracy, but I also understand that the entire infrastructure and the governing body is crumbling all around me and everything else. It is very upsetting and I thought others might enjoy reading what I wrote on this site and elsewhere. Then it was blocked and I was going to find out no matter what exactly why.

    That why is so ridiculous. Other things I wrote about in this article are far more insulting of the government, why this simple little sentence that is still blocked from getting through from all other people’s computers? This is a problem for ALL of us. You could spend much time writing about something important, and end up totally wasting your time if you don’t save the message or just because you can’t figure out which key word(s) is stopping this from getting through.

    Many people don’t have a lot of time to rewrite what they commented on and some just won’t do it or worse, not comment again for a long time. This hurts the site, the site Mac has spent so much time making successful, much when people cannot get through. Maybe this is the plan of trollers, goverment, or someone else, to hurt SHTFPLAN as much as possible. 🙁 This is something to be concerned about.

      Over time, as some of the things we post are both LONG and COMPLEX I was compelled to adopt another strategy: I pin Windows Notepad to the task bar and the INSTANT that I have completed a comment I copy that to Notepad as a matter of habit; thus, if ANYTHING ‘falls-through the cracks’ then I STILL have what was sent available for IMMEEDIATE resend. To be sure, anyone here using TOR should make this patterna a HABIT as THAT one is Damn ‘picky’ about what it will and will not pass at any given moment (apparently, a function of the nature of the TOR network)…beleive me, it saves a WHOLE LOT of frustratation. As well, it would appear that those using TOR are – potentially – immune to the phenomena you mention; think about is…a secure transmission path ALMOST fully shielded up till it emerges to exposure at Mac’s place…less opportunity there for ‘molestation’, Eh? Just a thought here….

    I have stated in the past about my position on an economic collapse and I maintain my position , I also said a war with Syria was off the table and 2 months later here we are !
    Prepare but don’t expect any collapse or martial law any time soon !
    First of all at this time of the year they won’t collapse the system anyway because of the holiday season and they want people to hand over as much of their money as possible , secondly , if the system was going to collapse soon then WHY implement the ACA ……it would be a waste of time and resources !

      There are now basically two camps on the ObamaCare website fiasco.
      1)There is a camp that says that the site was built to crash and cause denial of service attacks on itself because the regime didn’t want people to see that insurance premiums are skyrocketing.
      2)There is another camp of IT guys that says that the entire website is a Potemkin Village – that it is just a front-end facade with a data entry form, and that there is no real code underneath the facade to actually sell people insurance on an “exchange”. The forms are just collecting data to use later against the subscriber.

    Well, Mac may be running a text scanner, just as Google does, to pick out offensive language. A lot of other sites do that, too. I’ve run into it at Red State, which had such a draconian “prohibited list” that it was hard to get even innocuous comments to post. (Meanwhile Red State does nothing about spammers posting five or six “my sister-in-law made $85 an hour on his computer doing…..” posts per thread.)

    If Mac’s scanner is redirecting “offensive” posts to a dead-end page, then that would be why you’re getting the 404. But that’s Mac’s software doing it, not the Feds or your ISP, or even Mac’s ISP. That said, it’s up to Mac to trim and cull the list of offensive words and/or phrases.

    To Mac: I notice that this thread has had zero entries from the usual batch of trolls, so something’s working. Thank you VERY much. If it causes me a little inconvenience while you get the bugs worked out, I’m OK with that. (It hasn’t so far.)

    I’m also thinking that a maximum character count might be in order, to prevent the 2000+ word cut-n-paste posts that used to clutter up the site.

    There were TWO COPS that participated in the attack on the SUV. The other is an INTERNAL AFFAIRS officer Matthew Rodriguez. NYPD is PROTECTING this One among others, The DA has made it clear that even though it’s public knowledge that there were four(4) NYPD officers there on scene , and Rodriguez was ID’ed by witnesses as attempting to gain entry to the right side of the SUV,( the side where the mother and child were) only Braszczok will be prosecuted. God forbid that an IA officer be found as fallible in their rank-and-file!

    All of these participating LEO’s should be in general population starting tomorrow , if they want to participate in any beat downs im sure they will get their chance in the local prison system

    Solar Update,

    A flare is occuring at this time which has just passed the M-class in magnitude…and is continuing to rise. The character of this flare is aleady clearly of the LDE type (Long Duration Event) and if this – in fact – originates with NOAA 11875 then there is a HIGH probability that an Earth directed CME will ensue. NOAA has already issued a type II radio event warning and I fully ecpect that additional warnings of that genre will follow presently.

    There is ALWAYS a 15 minute ‘lag’ in obtaining the relevant soft X-ray imaging (EVE) which is used to determine the point of origin of any flare, thus we are as yet unsure as to the actual genitive source. That said, there is little else on the visible disk whith the complexity to generate a flare of any significant magnitude, hence , here the presumption that 11875 is the culprit…yet that is an ASSUMPTION at preent.

    More to follow as, and if warranted.

    @ Mac. This is only a suggestion, but the more restrictions to commenting the less people want to comment. The one golden issue here is that one can remain anonymous without others sending their personal systems all sorts of spam and other problems. That anonymous status is something that is a bedrock foundation with preppers/survivalists. Too many sites, what seems like most of them use some tracking system that people don’t like. I don’t even know anything about E-mail, but like I mentioned before I lost two computers using E-mail with Norton Anti-Virus from a couple of mega destroying viruses that fried the hardware. I don’t use E-mail for this reason as I like my computer.

    I agree with Old Coach about the cut and paste of articles with the maximum word limit, but not when someone has something to say and is willing to spend a half a hour or longer trying to type out something that could be important. I guess they could just repost it with the word limit was reached on another comment. I try not to ramble personally, but sometimes someone might ask me something and it takes some space to explain it so they learn and we all learn. I know JustOneGuy has posted some very long comments that he took the time to attmept to explain something, and this time spent to add to any site should be encouraged and not stopped because of it going beyond a certain anount of space. The cut and paste could be cured by someone simply using a link to those interested in reading it.

    All I am saying is that it would be ashamed for such a free site to free speech to get some of those other suffocating issues with most of the other sites on the internet. I also understand that you have only a limited amount of time to go through the bullsh$% and need to improve certain aspects to make it easy for yourself. Maybe a balancing act is in order here between the two. This is only my two cents as I want what is best for everyone before true hell breaks down everything.

      The problem is not email itself, but the default actions of popular email software. Outlook and Thunderbird can both be configured to show text only in emails. This stops HTML code from running. You can also get a text-only email program, such as Popcorn. I used Eudora for many years. I currently use Thunderbird.

      I have been on the internet since it started and have never gotten anything through email.

    This is strange.

    for the past 2 days, when I open this website, it opens to the article, “Massive Vulnerability Detected In National Power Grid.” It shows that there are only 32 comments. Any recent articles posted since that one are not shown or listed on the left side of the page.

    However, when I click on and open the Power Grid article, it shows 238 comments on that article and lists the other recent articles.

    Is anyone else having this problem?

      KY Mom…I’ve not only had the problem that you’ve just described, but multiple others as far as thumbs up or down, either not being able to or if I can, then coming back later and it’s as if it didn’t register the 1st time and I have to do it again. I seem to have the most problems giving Braveheart a thumbs up and now most recently DK??? Don’t know why and this is all new…..hasn’t happened before?

      Kentucky Mom,actually what I have noticed is whether visiting this or other sites feds may not like my speed goes way down as far as loading articles ect.I have seen this for about two weeks and have bitched at ISP provider and said will change as I do have choices.A lot of strange stuff with net in general going on,that said don’t forget what you have learned here and others sites when it goes down,a sure sign of bad times if long term.

    No way they are going to crash the system before xmas. Think about it: most sales take place then and it gets the majority of the sheeple good and in debt for the next 6 months of the year, ie: under control. That stuff works and the system is not going to mess with it.

    I predict we are safe for the next couple of years now and the system has enough juice in it to poodle along. There is marginal growth happening (the UK economy is going like gang busters – people buying houses everywhere).

          Im of the opinion that the rights mentioned in the Bill of Rights where and are not given to the citizens by the framers. I believe they merely outlined what the right,s are. I believe they are inalienable god given rights. That means no laws even when enacted by congress and approved by the supreme court can infringe upont those rights. It forces the citizenry to engage in commerce. it goes all the way back to the Magna Carta that a person cannot be forced to pay for goods & services he did not order.
