When I visited the Vatican Museum in Rome, I was fascinated with all of the maps depicting how the planet looks like, painted by all the great explorers. I can imagine it now; the Middle Ages’ MOST PROLIFIC adventurers, the defiant ones that risked everything in the name of the church and SAILED THE SEAS in order to find riches from afar, drawing these maps while being CERTAIN ABOUT their accuracy.
Today, any kid with a phone could instantly see how FOOLISH AND WRONG the people popes and kings trusted with their fortunes were regarding how planet Earth really looks like. They worked under the wrong premises and false information.
I get a kick out of it because today’s politicians ADMIRE Jay Powell even though he’s confidently leading the world, along with other powerful central banks, INTO OBLIVION.
Gold is not in a mania; it is reacting, by way of buyer demand, to the experimental nature of these bailouts from The Great Lockdown. It is not done and there are mountains of cash that could get interested in gold when inflation is recognized as a problem.

The FED is rightfully opposed to negative rates in America, knowing FULL WELL that in an economy like this, seeing rates this low would create such misbehaviors that they would be UNFIXABLE.
The way to ensure we don’t get negative rates is simple: CENTRALLY INTERVENE in the bond market. In the 1940s, it led to POSITIVE RETURNS for the stock market, so the bankers are deducing it will have the same effect now.
That’s like looking at the front porch through a straw and believing you know what’s going on in the backyard.
So many other factors could have contributed to the 1940s’ rally, but they want to place the catalyst as YIELD CURVE CONTROL and they will.

Gold already smells a WEAK DOLLAR and it is WITHIN INCHES of going over the critical 2012 levels. From there, it will enter into ALL-TIME high territory.
We don’t anticipate this policy to be introduced before the elections, which gives us the impression that the FED will need to buy time from now until November.

For gold, the biggest thing is that IT RALLIED so nicely despite a strong dollar and weak emerging markets.
As you can see, when emerging markets begin to trend higher, gold has a shot at some WILD GAINS.
This is my underlying thesis: the emerging markets must SNAP OUT of the recession for this to work.
We anticipate this occurring within 6-8 months, so any gold rally before that time would be a CHERRY ON TOP!

Gold is not a PRIMITIVE ASSET, nor a thing of the past.
Instead, gold is proving to be USEFUL and necessary, even in the 21st century, since a lack of trust in government is ETERNAL and central banking is impossible over the long-term.

When gold is fiat gold, what is the point of investing in gold? Physical gold is stolen, and fiat gold is not the same thing as gold. Crypto currencies are also fiat currencies. So knowing that gold and crypto currencies, as well as stocks are fiat, and that a company can just issue more stock which dilutes the value of existing stock, where is the draw supposed to be? Oh, right, fast easy money which has first destabilized and then destroyed the economy and the country.
If people feel compelled to take such insane gambles, then the problem is that the entire economy is not working for the overwhelming majority of people.
It was in the 1920’s that stock market mania existed. Grocery stores handed out stamps for each purchase as shopping rewards and incentives, after a very large number of stamps had been acquired, people were able to redeem the filled sheets with stamps for a single stock certificate.
When there is the belief held by the majority of people in the country that they can simply produce income without producing either a commodity, a product, or a service, the economy will fail. It is wrong for even a small number of people to be doing this, but the more that are practicing that method of earning income, the higher percentage there is for entire economy to falter, in addition to the higher the severity of the destruction of the economy, the country, and the population.
This was some pretty slick marketing gimmick from the get go with The Plunge Protection Team, CNBC, Abbey Joseph Cohen, the books “The Great Game”, and “The Age of Discontinuity.”
The killer of all Bull Markets is the truth, because a Bull Market cannot exist with out Bullshit. There is a direct correlation to Bullshit and Bull Markets. why have we not banned motorcycles yet. every year more and more people die in motorcycle accidents. nobody is outraged. you can ride a motorcycle without a helmet but you cannot ride in the back of a pickup truck. to me it would seem riding in the back of the pickup is safer yet its illegal. i did it all through my youth then they outlawed it. there has to be seats back there with seatbelts. but no helmet is needed for the operator of a motorcycle. it seems to me a helmet should be considered mandatory at minimum. when a motorcycle goes onto milled pavement it is very likely they could dump it. motorcycles kill more people than guns ever did.

Kerry Younge who I met in AA is a friend of the court, and therefore a government employee and counselor who told me that the government owns me in a text. I said what are you talking about? I also cringed when I saw “peddle to the metal”. Few even bother to attempt proper grammar, spelling, punctuation, or sentence structure these days. I knew that literacy in this country had fallen off a cliff when I picked up the NYT (I used to buy it every Tuesday just to read the Science section) back around 1993 or so, and was appalled to observe that a staff writer had written “millenniums”. Presumably this person had made it through high school English; then college journalism classes; been awarded a diploma; pursued a career in journalism; obtained a job with (at the time) one of most prestigious newspapers in the nation; and yet could not manage the correct plural form of a Latinate noun.
