Government Destroys Couple’s Rights Over Rainwater: “If You’re Honest, They Take Everything Away”

Do you LOVE America?

This article was written by Claire Bernish and originally published at The Free Thought Project.

Editor’s Comment: With each passing year, there are more and more challenges to personal property and individual sovereignty. Despite the resilience it lends to our national security, the government has proven again and again that it wishes to clamp down on the ability to prep, survive and self-sustain off grid, and without the need for the system’s supply chain.

You can hardly build your own place, grow your own food, collect your own water or take care of yourself without the intervention of those in authority. There is need to push back against this continued intrusion of our lives.

Couple Forced to Destroy 40yo Pond on Their Own Property Because Govt Owns The Rainwater

    by Claire Bernish

Butte Falls, OR — An Oregon couple has been told they must destroy a 2-acre pond on their land — the property’s most attractive feature — because the government said so.

Although Jon and Sabrina Carey purchased the 10-acre property near Butte Falls two and a half years ago, the pond has been in place for 40 years — but that fact doesn’t matter to the Jackson County Watermaster’s Office.

“I basically bought a lemon,” said Jon, who became teary-eyed at the edge of the partially ice-covered body of water being targeted by government, in an interview with the Mail Tribune. “That’s how they explained it to me.”

But the couple desperately wants to keep the stunning longstanding feature in tact, so, as the Mail Tribune reports, the Careys have “pleaded with the Medford Water Commission to adopt the pond and treat it as a municipal water source, something Jackson County Watermaster Larry Menteer has opposed because of the precedent it would set.

“The Water Commission has rights to the watershed around the Careys’ property, where dozens, if not hundreds, of ponds are located, as well as Medford’s primary source of water, Big Butte Springs.”

And the Careys aren’t the only people in the watershed who’ve had difficulties with, well, ‘the government’s’ water.

Eagle Point resident Gary Harrington spent 90 days in jail for illegally harboring some 13 million gallons of illicit rainwater — that’s enough rain to fill around 20 Olympic-sized swimming pools.

Harrington masterfully crafted several ponds on his property — even building docks for one, and stocking it with largemouth bass — but his insistence the water would assist in fire control and prevention didn’t satisfy the government, since a “1925 state law dictates that the water belongs to the Medford Water Commission.”

As Mother Nature Network’s Matt Hickman reported in 2012,

The bigger story here is that rainwater collection is indeed kosher in Oregon, provided that you’re capturing it from an artificial, impervious surface such as a rooftop with the assistance of rainwater barrels. But an extensive reservoir set-up complete with 10- and 20-foot-tall dams is verboten without the proper, state-issued water-right permits — after all, Oregon law dictates that water is a publicly owned resource — and Harrington did not possess said permits.

Harrington and the Oregon Water Resources Department waged an extended battle over the ponds, and at one point, it was ruled he would be allowed to keep everything in place — but that decision was backtracked in less than one year.

Ultimately, “Rain Man,” as he came to be called, found himself charged with nine misdemeanors, spent three months behind bars, and had to shell out $1,500 in fines — and was ordered to destroy the dams and drain all the ponds.

Harrington’s case might have been infinitely more complex than the Careys’ — considering the large volume of water and infrastructure he’d put in place — but they share the same theme of overbearing government and arguably wholly unnecessary law versus the right of people to do as they please with their property.

“When you’re honest, they take everything away from you,” said Sabrina Carey, who inspected country records — which plainly showed the pond — before they purchased the property.

Going by the book might have been the ‘fatal’ error for the couple, however, since the county didn’t take issue with the pond until Jon sought to grow legal medical cannabis on the land and had to prove there was a viable source of water for the grow operation.

According to the Watermaster’s Office, the previous owners had not received a permit for the pond, so the Careys were now in violation of Oregon regulations — and they would have to shoulder the cost of draining the water.

In an effort to prove the pond is legitimate and persuade county government to allow it to remain on the property, the couple stopped using it — even though the well on their land had run dry — and began shipping in the water for daily living and gardening from nearly Butte Falls.

They’ve also had no choice but to hire attorney Sarah Liljefelt, who filed a request with Jackson County to provide a permit for them to store water, stating, “The reservoir on Ms. Carey’s property, though small, is one of the largest in the area.”

As the Mail Tribune notes, “Liljefelt said the pond is an important source of water for beavers, otters, elk, deer, bear, mountain lion, bobcat, bald eagle osprey, great blue heron, snowy egret, Canada geese and the western pond turtle.”

By all appearances, the large pool of water does more good for the environment than if it weren’t there at all — during their fight with the State, the Careys even suggested it be used for fire control and prevention, like Harrington did, as the pond is easily accessible by fire crews.

But the county has displayed only nonsensical obstinance on the issue.

“This pond seems to be doing way more public good than not being here. Why, now, is it so important to be removed?” Jon lamented.

Indeed, the 40-year-old man doesn’t even profit from the medical cannabis grown on the land he and his wife own, as he literally gives the crop — free of charge — to friends.

“I don’t make anything out of this,” he said.

Members of the Water Commission disagree on whether this is an issue worth fighting over at all, but as the Mail Tribune reports,

Water Commission staff found several problems with the Careys’ request, including setting a precedent that could prompt similar requests and weaken state statutes while not meeting the definition of ‘municipal water source.’ The staff found it would be very difficult to access the water stored in the pond for municipal reasons, and further monitoring and following up on compliance issues would be difficult and costly for the commission.

However, the commission also failed to state why this should be a matter for the government in the first place — why punitive bureaucracy needs to meddle with a pond on private property, serving as a valuable ecosystem, that poses no threat to anyone or anything, and isn’t even an eyesore, must be destroyed.

Besides a trailer home and dilapidated house, the pond is the only thing of value on their acreage, and, obviously, as Sabrina said, “We didn’t buy it for the double-wide.”

She told the Mail Tribune the pond should have been registered with the Oregon Water Resources Department nine years ago, but the owners at that time did not reside on the property and didn’t do so.

They have even offered to reduce the pond’s size, allow officials to inspect it when necessary, and have provided a draft easement to the commission in hopes of allowing the prized water feature to remain intact — thus far to no avail.

“We’re just trying to do it by the rules,” Sabrina explained. “I’m trying to cooperate.”

In 2012, Gary Harrington had already been through years of conflict with government officials over illicit water — and provided CNSNews with stronger sentiment on the topic:

When something is wrong, you just, as an American citizen, you have to put your foot down and say, ‘This is wrong; you just can’t take away anymore of my rights and from here on in, I’m going to fight it.’

That government feels entitled to not only something located on private property, but that people should not be allowed to collect rain, is everything wrong with excessive government — and the overregulation of daily life.

        • Depending upon the circumstances of the purchase agreement, closing, and the Title report, the buyer may have recourse against the Realtor and/or Title company; or even the seller.

1925 ??? That’s almost 100 years ago. A ten acre property would likely have a rural zoning classification indicating its classified for animal usage.

Removing the pond would negate the animal’s right to surface water which they would naturally consume, and thus life.

Surely there’s an animal rights lawyer out there in Liberal Land somewhere. 🙂

Hey DurrangoKiddy You own me $100 Franklin you bet.

To do so would expose Chinese Gold to a run on its reserves; just as France did to the USA before Nixon pulled the plug.

“The massive flow of gold into the country does make it seem plausible that they [China’s authorities] could be moving in the direction of using gold in the effort to internationalize the currency and escape what is seen as a domineering dollar,” Lombard economist Freya Beamish said in a note published late Wednesday.

                • GOLD. Sorry, FFS (Fat Finger Syndrome)

          • You’re correct DK…any marginally competent checker-pants lawyer could tie this up in the court system for over a decade with minimal effort. These people should clearly have standing for action against the previous owner and realtor for this.

It’s easy for us to see from the outside…but I guess when you’re just a hippie living in a beat down trailer looking to grow some ganja, things must be way more complicated….

            • Back in the 80’s a young hippy couple that I went to high school with , bought a 200acre+\- farm just outside of the town we grew up in.

They had owned the farm for maybe a year when the local conservation officer approached them about declaring an old strip pit on their property a “wetland”

He sold them on the idea by conjuring up visions of otters and exotic birds so they said ok.

I don’t know what it all had to do with DNR but Tim the conservation officer is the one who brokered the deal. Everybody liked Tim he was a good guy and trustworthy.

Not long after they agreed … people from various agencies would indiscriminately show up to take water samples or whatever without any prior notice.

Long story short … One day a young man showed up from one of the alphabet agencies and made a startling discovery. He had stumbled across a half dozen or so marijuana plants growing on the young hippies farm even though they were no where close to the old stripper pit.

The couple was arrested but ultimately the hippy husband confessed he was cultivating the plants and his wife had no knowledge of them…. That way their 2 year old daughter wouldn’t get put in foster care and someone would be there to look after the farm.

The ambitious young man from the Alphabet agency (I can’t remember which agency or I would say) told LE that he became lost and that’s why he was so far from the stripper pit when he made the discovery.

The hippy husband did almost a year in county jail over the incident …

You’re welcome to add your own morale of the story as you see fit…. but mine is ” You give em an inch and they’ll take a mile”

              • –Keep Government agencies out of your life.

–Stay the hell out of US military, NEVER fight the politicians wars. They get rich. You die.
                –Never call Police.
–Never file Police report no matter what happens to you.
YOU will end up being screwed over if you do.

          • Find some pond paperwork from 40 years ago done for someone else – photoshop it to your pond!

Toss a couple endangered minnows or snails into the pond!

Run a pipe from a catch barrel under your roof line!

But even better would have been to NOT tell anyone anything in the first place! We see these same types of stories every other month – home schooling, off the grid, property rights, water rights, etc — apply for permits, post on social media, tell teachers, or even call police — puts you on the radar.

          • It negates the right to life of the fish in it

          • 1st, How in every thing that is good have we allowed the guttermint to tell the people we can’t have water? Next will they write laws if you get caught in the rain you can be incarcerated? Time to rain in these corrupt politicians. Pun intended.

            • {sarcasm on} Actually Mark, any rainwater trapped in your clothing is stolen from the government as it is “collected improperly”. {sarcasm off}

          • It obviously has nothing to do with the water….it’s 100% about growing Marijuana…someone doesn’t want them cutting into their profit margin.

        • Menzo, water belongs to everyone, not to the govt. All my relatives collect and store rainwater and would kill anyone who tried to stop them.

          • DB,

We have been battling the “water belongs to everyone” people in U.P. Michigan and Federal government for 20 plus years. Using the “water belongs to everyone” banner they have changed state and federal laws and almost destroyed my cottage and my lake.

It started when the DNR bought a site on our lake “for everyone” without public hearings (they said our lake was too small to have the hearing). At that time the lake was sand bottom. Now the lake is clogged with weeds and shore line garbage that “everyone” put there and the state has no intention of removing. The lake (half mile across) has all lots deeded for 7.5 hp max boat motors. DNR says they will not enforce that restriction because the lake is “for everyone” and they can’t stop people with 100 hp motors on our lake (across in less than 30 seconds). These bigger motors are producing waves that are ripping our shoreline apart.

Then there is my septic system that got flooded by ‘controlled’ lake levels. When I inquired to contractor about replacing the flooded septic. He told me the “for everyone” laws had changed and I could not have a septic within 75 feet of water. There is only one spot on my property that meets that requirement and it is 400 feet from my house and would require a $20K system to pump there. I could not get a variance. So…a friend helped me restart the septic (yep broke a law. But I don’t have $20K laying around).

            • The feds and some states have been working for years to control ALL the water. in New Mexico the feds are alreading starting to control the DRY run off of arroyo’s because they SOMETIMES have water when it rains. they have been fencing off ranchers springs where there cattle have watered for years. there are many pending law suits. it is a MESS!! IF you look over the world you will see, the elites, Iluminati, NWO, ect. etc. have been and are trying to conrol the things that would ultimitely allow the controlers of those things to TOTALY control the populatio ie. WATER and FOOD. IF we cannot get this under control just like the Islam migrants, there is NO hope for a free world. the scum are closing the gap fast and i see no way around civil unrest. bleak news for 2017, but i think most of us here have seen this coming and that is why we are prepping!!
stay safe and vigilant my friends!!

              • Yes, they ARE doing it to control the people by taking away our food, our means to grow it, and now the water that our gardens need. I think in the future if we still have technology and electricity the people will be just like herded sheep living in big cities and not allowed to go to the country anymore, becuz it “belongs to the animals”. I think it’s part of Agenda 21. I am sorry now i had one child, becuz i have a grand daughter age 21 and a great grand daughter who will now grow up in a very Orwellian controlled world and be dumbed down by school. Maybe we can hope that the power grid goes down forever as they cannot control us without their precious electricity. It will diminish the population, but at least the few that survive will not be controlled. We would be better off if we went back to the 1700’s.

            • If water belongs to everyone, maybe “everyone” can come over and do the dishes sitting in the dishwater in my sink? I suggest Al Gore or the vile Sierra Club.

            • I’m new here, but I’ve read too many stories like yours. I recall a story from “The Humanure Handbook” about a home owner who was forced to purchased a $3,000 electric incinerating toilet to satisfy the code jackboots when he couldn’t spend thousands more to hook up to the municipal sewer system. He left said toilet sitting in the garage, went ahead with a composting toilet system, and it didn’t matter. All the code worshippers wanted to see was the receipt. They didn’t even care that it was never installed.

Sooner or later, that septic system is going to fail again. When it does, don’t be surprised if the local jackboots order it filled in as an “environmental hazard” or similar nonsense. In fact, it wouldn’t surprise me if they show up much sooner, since they probably know you have a septic tank. This is all about power, and keeping you poor and dependent, after all.

I would suggest you explore composting toilet systems, including DIY sawdust bucket types, and gray water collection systems. If you decide to go that route, do so quietly and covertly. The rule of law is on life support. Trying to deal honestly with criminals in power only sets you up for victimization.

            • Screw the government and the septic. If/when it breaks again just install one of those biological compost toilets. You can buy them legally and they should be legal. In the meantime if can’t afford it make one yourself with buckets and sawdust and make the wood box around it. You can also get an old persons “potty” and use that. Only put sawdust in the bottom instead of water. I found a nice one in the trash. It’s in the cellar in case i need it someday. I think if you BUY the compost toilet they can’t say anything. Screw them and don’t use the septic anymore. I am in the country. I only flush when i poop., and in the summer i pee outside. I am female too. The system trained us to believe that its “wrong” to pee/poop outside. It’s natural. It’s not natural to have a stinky toilet in the house, and a lot of people have these bathrooms right next to their kitchen. Yuk.

          • No, the water belongs to the planet and the people BEFORE governments and corporations.

The planet and the people existed before governments were created BY THE PEOPLE. Water, in all its forms belongs to the people first. So if there is a shortage, if water is poisoned, then it is the governmental buildings, the corporations, the businesses that must bear the weight of that shortage FIRST. One must understand that before there were governments, before there were corporations, before there was mass media, people used water in all its forms.

Governments, corporations, etc were all created by people – starting out small and growing, some way beyond the limits placed upon them by the contract, in writing, that they operate under. Water, land, air, gardens, hunting, fishing, etc are all natural rights of the people and in the USA the government was created to PROTECT the rights of the people. That can be found in writing, in the contract that all who serve within our governments are under.

This desire to control food, water, animals, etc is always done before those who serve within governments start using democide on their people.

History, real history is your friend. It teaches you things so that you do not allow them to happen again. That is why the “dumbing down” of the people, the propaganda used against them, etc.

Those that SERVE WITHIN our governments own nothing more then is listed in writing in the contracts that they serve under.

Those that are telling you that they in government own the water are lying. Trying to enforce that “color of law” by force or threat of force is actions that are treasonable and *terrorist under our laws.

*28 C.F.R. Section 0.85 Terrorism is defined as “the unlawful use of force and violence against persons or property to intimidate or coerce a government, the civilian population, or any segment thereof, in furtherance of political or social objectives”.

Several of the idiot feminist type I dated early are now nearing retirement age, and have nothing other than a now concluding career. So… they can boast they created today’s version of the buggy whip, and that’s it.

IMHO, idiot, evil feminism was one of the leading un-lights that started us down this whole path to insanity. Just like Eve, a lot (not all!; I am speaking in generalizations here) of women are easily deluded. The ones who bought into the whole feminist horse manure are now, too late, regretting it.

Suspicious fumes at Florida home leads to FBI-assisted probe
          December 22, 2016, 2:20 PM |ST. PETERSBURG, Fla.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation said Thursday it’s assisting a Tampa Bay area law enforcement agency in the potential terrorism activity of a 21-year-old man who was arrested after his father was taken to a hospital due to suspicious fumes in the family home.

Pasco County Sheriff Chris Nocco said during a news conference there is no indication that Sherif Elganainy has terrorist ties. But he said that after chemicals were found in Elganainy’s home and that he tried to wrestle a gun away from a deputy, all leads are being pursued. Two deputies received minor injuries when attempting to subdue Elganainy.

“This is an extremely dangerous individual,” Nocco said. “This person had the potential to do bad things.”

The incident began at the family’s home in New Port Richey, a suburb some 30 miles north of downtown Tampa.

        • Amen to that! Oregon is off the rails on this nonsense.

        • Let’s focus on organising referendums in all states allowing persons to retain some if not all of the rainwater on their land. It’s just ridiculous that people don’t realise that WE ARE IN THE MAJORITY!!! Wake up!

        • Western Oregon is a nut house. A man was jailed in Ashland for this same thing regarding a pond and rain water and others have been prosecuted or forced to remove ponds. Most of it filters down from EPA, but many small municipalities in western Oregon are run by extreme liberal idiots. Starting to happen in the east as well. The only solution is to vote out who you can and tell the rest to pound sand and sue them and expose them when they commit bad acts or crimes!

      2. Medford has been taken over by Californians. Tar and feathers are an appropriate action.

        • But you see, if you are one of these Water Bottling Companies you can suck as much water out of these underground aquifers, and sell it for big bucks no questions asked. This is all about pushing the water control and all the people into the cities, where they need this water to keep all their gulf course land scaping lawns in tip top shape.

This is no secret, just get the latest local Water studies and see who is using all the water and what they are charged. The retention ponds also attract wild life and they don’t want you hunting for food, as they want to keep you on GMO laced products they call food.

Its all a scam.. Hell in Tampa FL where I lived years back, they came up with this tax called a surface tax. The counted up all the square footage of your rooftop and driveway took up, not letting the water to filter back into he ground so they claimed, and then charged you for the Sq footage runoff. Its all a water tax revenue raising scam.

This is a Water issue, to consider on your list when choosing where to buy some land or property to put up a homestead, ask the locals of any problems and full disclosure from the Realtor regarding property, all rules and regulations.

I wonder if that couple could file a claim under their title Insurance, that they failed to disclose the pond water, control issues or problems. Maybe they can Sue the Property Title Co and get half their money back. Here in FL you can get into a lot of trouble if you infill wetlands. One Guy dug a channel from the Gulf to his house where he docked a boat without a permit. He got into some trouble when he got caught, and a hefty fine. And had to pay to fill the canal all back in.

          • Most title insurance polices will exclude claims for non-permitted uses, just like boundary issues. All it insures is that the person who sold you the property was the actual owner and that the deed covers most of the ground in question.

He may have a good claim against the prior owner, and the realtor company has what are called ‘deep pockets’, they are professionals and should have done their due diligence for the buyer.

            • Yep smokey, they need to dig into the issue ASAP, and find out who failed to tell them there was a problem. Time is of the essence on these issues. You can’t wait 10 years then try to file a claim. Statute of limitations.

              • What problem???
Jumping in here, again what problem and what would be solved by emptying the pond at this point, anything?? This is Agenda 21 BS! someone at the water dist. has turned to the NWO side and needs to be rejected at every turn publicly and privately.
Having only just bought this property these folks may not be up for the fight, as for me they could FOAD, asking for permission is for slaves!

          • Wars are fought over water rights
They might claim that it’s about settlements or land encroachment but it’s all about water when there is very little available in a specific geographical location.
Hmmm that could be why Trump started buying up water rights years ago…smart man

          • Drain the swamp

            ht tp://

        • You’re a dumbfuk smokey. Californians can keep the rain water that falls on their property.

          • Mr. Hill, did you even read what he wrote?
Did you read the article and see it’s about Oregon, not CA.?
            Careful who you call dumbfuk.

          • You’re a complete fuckwit, Billy Hill. I didn’t mention California. Medford is in Oregon. Learn to read and comprehend the English language, and some basic US geography.

            • Yes, you did mention California(n’s).

The people that moved there from here are not to blame for your water problem because Californians don’t have that problem there. They did not “bring it with them”. Duh.

That’s a home grown problem. I lived there in the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s, before Californian’s started moving there and trying to change things.

Don’t be so quick to blame others for your own problems.

              • “I lived there in the 60’s, 70’s and early 80’s, before Californian’s started moving there and trying to change things.”
Like banning water ponds and rain collecting? Lol.
                Case closed. Hill loses.

      3. This stinks of Agenda21/2030. We will either kill our opressessors or they will have us living in the cities soon.

          • 700 Million Androids Pre-Installed with Chinese Spyware

A Chinese software company called Adups, whose firmware comes pre-installed on some 700 million Android devices, has been found to be able to collect personal information from users without their knowledge or consent.Security analyst firm Kryptowire first discovered the privacy breach in November 2016. Adups data mining was revealed almost by accident by a Kryptowire employee who discovered a backdoor allowing information to be leaked. After that, antivirus manufacturer Trustlook dug deeper and the scope of the privacy violations facilitated by Adups was quickly shown to be significant. The Adups data collector was found to collect text messages, call history, and device information from phones upon which it is installed.

Adups denied that the software is used to collect private user data, but was instead put in place “to identify junk text messages and calls.” They then referred to the installation of it on US phones as a “mistake.” The majority of Android phones that use Adups are smaller companies that only release devices in Asia. However, BLU Products (which claims to have sold 35 million devices in the Western hemisphere) and several other well-known manufacturers including Lenovo and ZTE also install Adups firmware on their smartphones. BLU announced that they will no longer use Adups firmware on their phones, switching it out for one made by Google. Lenovo, ZTE, and others have followed suit.

So what’s in your Cell Phone?

            • I don’t have a Smart phone. I wouldn’t know how to use it. I don’t ever want one. I have a cheap Trac phone where i buy the minutes. I hardly use it. It’s just in the car in case i have to call AAA. When they eliminate all the other cheap phones i won’t have one then. I will never buy a Smart phone. It’s a good tracking device, they know your whole life on it, and they can turn on the microphone to listen to you. When i don’t have a phone anymore and need to call AAA i will ask a stranger if i can use their phone to call for help. Everyone has one.

      4. 4 man made small ponds, 35 acres of water on our property that backs up off a 200 acre lake and 25 acres of beaver dam water. We love all of it, and agreed to all but the beavers, they didn’t ask but are welcome.
I would cry if they took it and they would be wise to not be here when I started!!

        • My BOL sits on 30 acres which is bordered on one side by a year-round creek; backup water source. Good deep well on the property and a rainwater catch system on the cabin. Definitely worth fighting for.

          • No it’s not.

            • Imposter, you need to give it a rest.

              • DB sorry to be so slow getting back to the article, working because I love it and been very busy. Was that me you were calling an imposter? You don’t know me, why would you say that. You talk a big game, I am a big game. 183 acres, 70 years old, 5 counts of assault with a deadly weapon intent it kill, all not guilty. If you want to see a humble person, come and treat me right. • I have a few caches and foxholes near to my BOL. If my location gets taken over it would be objectively worth the trouble of taking it back.

          • Definitely worth fighting for.??? Then why are you AWOL from N. GA absent from protecting it, and still in Tennessee playing door knob shaker? lol. Oh that’s right you got options. bwahahahahhahaa

      5. Just do what you want bog down the court system with appeals. hows that gonna look that the court put someone in jail for having a pond. If 90 percent of population broke the law how on earth could they enforce anything. If they tried you’d have a discrimination case. You cannot follow laws that are constantly changing against you. You have to draw the line somewhere.

        • File a damage suit against the seller, realtors, title company, the county, the water district and each commissioner by name in their public and private capacity, the prosecutor, etc. etc., and work for a change in the law.

        • In a water shortage, visible ponds and lakes would attract parasites and the government. (Sorry for the redundancy).

Wells and concealed natural springs are better. 🙂

        • If “90%” of the population broke the law, the government would prosecute 10% of that 90% and make an example out of them to force compliance by the remainder.

The solution is to organize the 90%, vote out the asshats with shit for brains in office, and install voter friendly politicians to office in advance.

Make a list. Check it twice ….. 🙂

      6. Kill Communists on Sight

A little History. THE “SHOT GLASS”

Did you all know that the small bar glass called a shot glass was originally developed in the wild west. When you came into the Saloon to clear the dust out of your throat, and you didn’t have enough silver to buy a glass of Whisky, you traded a Gun Bullet, for a smaller glass of Whiskey. Well that small bar glass became knows as a “SHOT GLASS”

All these years of doing shots and you had no idea. Now you can retell that story to impress your drunk friends when you are drinking.

Frexit: Le Pen promises to take France out of EU & NATO
            12-26-2016 •
Le Pen, the leader of France’s far-right National Front and a candidate for the 2017 presidential elections, is known for her Euroscepticism and anti-immigrant views. Together with France, she also suggested that Portugal, Italy, Spain, Ireland, Greece and Cyprus should also leave the European Union.

“Frexit will be a part of my policy,” she said in an interview with Dimokratia. “The people must have the opportunity to vote for the liberation from slavery and blackmail imposed by technocrats in Brussels to return sovereignty to the country.”

Along with her main rival, the center-right Francois Fillon, Le Pen has called for closer ties with Russia and has criticized NATO expansion into eastern Europe. Le Pen said that she would take France out of the alliance if she became president because, as she said, its existence is no longer needed.

        • I’ll buy one!

      7. They’ll claim the air we breathe next!

        • Jim, they already (think they) do in some states…vehicle emissions testing has been shown to be a complete scam with no verifiable data showing a reduction in smog, yet you cannot get car tabs without it done.
Cow farts have been stated as a cause for global warming and farmers have received notices to reduce or else (no lie). There are burn bans in many states that even include use of single/only source fireplaces/stoves.
I am all for safeguarding the earth from intentional damage or abuse, but when you have entire countries like India, S. Africa, China or places like Norlisk, Russia allowed to polute with reckless abandon, its hard to comprehend the logic – probably because there isnt any, its all about control and $$$!

        • That is about to become real, here in Canadastan, Jan 2017 ..they are taxing us, for the air that breathe,..they call it a ”carbon tax”

      8. and the most ironic thing of all is that pond reserves water over the soil and bedrock, where it leaches down into the water table for use by all. its a resource. once that pond is full, the runoff supplies the local watershed. destroying simply removes a useful reservoir and keeps less water local.
        typical “government”

      9. B from CA, That was my orders in Viet Nam,why not here in our own country?

      10. Actually they missed the most important part of all. It’s wetlands for 40 years and federal law prohibits the destruction of wetlands, period. Unless of course you build more wetlands i.e. move a pond not just drain it. federal law should be used to shut Medford City up.

        • In the Southwest, any area that is covered in water for more than 7 consecutive days in a year is considered a wetland, EPA rule of thumb+-. I heard of an oil company getting slammed by the EPA over this. They drilled some wells on some dry as a bone flat land. Some areas of the lease, which was owned by the state, would flood during the monsoon season. 3 or 4 inches worth of flooding. Some of their well site pads and roads encroached on these “wetlands”.
It seems that I have heard of people who have built small dams etc… on their property and were told they cannot remove them due to the area now being a wetland. 10+ years back some fellow got crossways with the EPA over removing a pond and ended up going to jail because he messed up a wetland. Still looking for this item on the web.

          ht tps://
“Wetlands are areas that are inundated or saturated by surface or ground water at a frequency and duration sufficient to support, and that under normal circumstances do support, a prevalence of vegetation typically adapted for life in saturated soil conditions. Wetlands generally include swamps, marshes, bogs, and similar areas.” – Definition of wetlands as used by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (Corps) and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since the 1970s for regulatory purposes.

          • Never WILLINGLY let DNR declare a body of water on your property a “Wetland”
They will tell you how they are going to help manage it and stock it with fish and do all kinds of stuff to attract wildlife.
In reality you are giving them and various other Feds permission to come onto your property at anytime without notice and none of the above perks ever materialize.

          • All 7 days would do is allow mosquitoes to propagate

      11. Where do WE draw the line??

Obviously once the pond is full all the additional rainwater runs on down the hill via the overflow.

        Such ridiculous Beaurecrats!

      12. Psychopathic son of a bitches don’t deserve the truth.

      13. Rain is from the sky whats next air fees or taxes.

        • Anon, THAT, mon ami, is what the global warming scam is exactly about – essentially taxing the air.

Incidentally, Dr. Richard Lindzen, prof of atmospheric science at MIT, Dr. William Gray, the #1 hurricane forecaster in the world, and John Coleman, co-founder of the Weather Channel, all have called AGW a “scam.” (Coleman you can see by going to Youtube and searching for “John Coleman + global warming.”

Oh yeah. Patrick Moore, co-founder of Greenpeace, at “I am a skeptic on climate change. I know the climate is changing, and it always has been. I’ve studied this intensively over many years. I started what I call the Carbon Project here in British Columbia back in 1989 in order to bring everybody together to discuss this subject and figure out the facts behind it. Since then, I have watched as hysteria has grown, as if the whole world is going to come to an end and civilization is going to die because of humans causing this climate change. I don’t buy that, and I certainly know we don’t have any proof of it. I’m not denying that we might be playing some role, but the natural factors that have always caused climate change have not suddenly disappeared. I’m very skeptical of the alarmist nature of climate campaigning.” –

        • Legally, once it leaves the cloud it is owned by someone.

Water rights are rather touchy things, current laws involved a good deal of serious conflict, including violent conflict, to end up where they are today.

      14. This is why Pruitt is one of the most important appointments Trump made (to head the EPA)

      15. They should sue their realtor. I know it’s hard for some of y’all east of the Mississippi to understand, but water rights generally work on a prior allocation basis (as opposed to riparian) in western states. Geography is different out here…

        • And to follow up with Sean, “Riparian rights” are the rights you have if your property includes wetlands or a lake river beach areas, or bodies of water, etc. The property I own here, I own out to the Middle of the lake and the other guy on the other side owns out to the middle of the lake on his side. It is all surveyed and marked on the certified Survey Map. So I’m considered to have riparian rights to the lake water since it is my property.

When I was in Tampa, I caught some Bayshore Millionaire cutting down mangroves across the street by the Bay, so he could improve his view of the bay from his house on the other side of the road. I called the Cops, and they were dumb as fuck then they showed up. I then filed a complaint to the county EPA for mangrove cutting. Well these people had no Riparian Rights to cut the mangroves down because the mangroves were not on their property but across the road. They got their hands slapped, as well as the parks director who somehow have them permission to cut mangroves on the City property. It was all fraud. Plus it is highly illegal to cut mangroves down, because they are the protective barrier from erosion from the bay waves etc and a massive ecological eco system where many fish spawn, oysters bed, etc. The Land owner was just a POS trying to create a view he was not entitled to.

Get involved people and do the research and know the laws and rules. Call out those destroying nature and the environment. Also note most of these people in charge of running your local County EPA, are employee SHILLS, and moved into these positions to protect their Fascist Corporations destroying your local environment. The lower echelon people are mostly good people but under the thumb of their shill director so they can only do so much, and most just want to dismiss you, cause they are lazy. So be persistent.

So when a problem arises, start collecting names of who you talk to, and file FOIA requests and call out all their fraud. I have gone through a lot of this, in the last decade fighting Fraud and environment destruction and EPA violations. When someone tells you NO, then go up the chain, to their boss, and the next boss, then the State, then the Feds, etc, and keep asking questions. Request investigations to be initiated through filed complaints. Hold their feet to the fire. Go investigate the Guy running the County Board, and see how many retention ponds he has on his property, but you can’t on your property? BS. Call out all the BS and inconsistencies on the record. Send your complaints certified mail and keep a log and record of every call, the time and date, who said what, for your records.

And demand they put their response in writing and mail it to you. Sometimes when you file a written complaint, they will call you on the phone, and give you some BS response, and you need to request they put their responses in writing on the record. They will change their tune. A phone call they can just deny they didn’t say that. Then it just your word against theirs. But in writing, it is a written document, and you can nail them more, if they try to BS you like in a phone call to appease you, then they claim you agreed and they closed the case.

The Government are pros at deceiving you especially at the local level. Email your Representatives and demand action.

One of the biggest scams out there is when a City says, Well we need to develop a feasibility study. Then spend $100,000 to some consulting company their buddy owns to create some phony document. Study the document, and the requirements and criteria under the law to create a legitimate study document. Then call out the Study’s Fraud on the record at a public meeting. And cover your ass, in every complaint letter, always include the following phrase at the end of the document.

“To the best of my knowledge, the information I relayed above is known to be accurate.”

That is a CYA- Cover your ass, in case someone tries to sue you, as to the best of your knowledge which may only be 5th Grade. But it is, as you see it. No are not an expert, but just a citizen relaying the info as you see it to the best of your knowledge. That phrase is Ultimate your escape hatch from lawsuits, if your claim is incorrect when you filed it.

      16. This is a huge scam!!. I agree with removing of them with extreme prejudice. Big brother shouldn’t be allowed to tell you what you can/can’t do with water. Total BS

      17. Pump all that water right through the front door of the water commission, or his/her home. Tell them you are sorry for holding on to it, so… you go.

those who think they need government and those who think.

        Determined and Defiant……..BA.

        • i made this comment on denninger’s site about a different scenario, but it seems to really fit here too…..
like has been said before, americans will always do the right thing, but only after exhausting ALL other possibilities(thatcher?)….torches and pitchforks. that’s what it will take….not just pitchforks, as that implies you show up for a day, throw what the politicians will call a crybully-fest, and when it gets dark, they all go home to their weapons of mass distraction and warm beds. maybe they even return the next day….and maybe the next. they will need the torches too. only then will the powers-that-shouldn’t-be see that maybe there’s some serious people(PROBABLY cold, and hungry) outside between them and THEIR warm beds. when the numbers of the dumb masses start adding up to the MILLIONS, only THEN will we see real change. unless the EBT cards quit working, none of this can happen.. they will HAVE to be cold and hungry before they “rise up”….so i really don’t see ANY way to fix this…until it HAS to be fixed… i just hope we don’t need boiled ROPE, as karl would say, as the FINAL ingredient to fix this crap-storm…..

what do you call an honest man in DC?……lost.

      18. One state I’m very familiar with, Washington, by law owns all surface and under-ground fresh water and you have to get permission to use it. I’m pretty sure Oregon is the same way. Generally you can’t screw with surface water flows without state permission. Even in Hawaii if I want to put in a pond or make a lake with a dam fed by surface or well water collection, it has to be permitted. Those laws have been around forever.
What is scary is when the Federal EPA starts thinking THEY own all the surface water and determine what wetlands are. They make political and not science based decisions.
As for building roof catchment, most states(but not all) regulate that as a health issue and not as a surface water issue. The idea being as long as I catch the water before it physically hits the ground, it belongs to me, and I can use it as I choose, as is the case in Hawaii and in most states.

        • If you have a permitted well here in Washington, you can use it to fill a pond. Can’t divert a stream into it, or dam it up, without a permit, but you can build your own pond separately from the natural water courses.

You can even link it up, once you get a permit, but then it’s part of the natural system and you can’t change it later.

          • Like I said just get a permit. Can’t get a permit? Shoot, shovel, and shut up.

            • Those days are coming, it’s getting a lot harder to get a well permit in some counties. Apparently the salmon need the groundwater now, in order to be able to swim upstream.

The tribes are going to demand half of the last salmon, no matter how many billion dollars it costs.

      19. Control the food and water you control the people.

        • Kissinger

            • LLLLuuuuuuuuuuuzzzzzzzzzeeerrrrrr

            • I did say it. I was wrong. I’m man enough to admit that.

              I voted for Trump, BTW.

If you think for one minute he’s going to fix everything you’re on crack. Have you seen his appointees? We’re just as screwed as before, it may just take longer. He “might” slow things down, but he’ll not be draining any swamps, or fixing the EPA etc. LOL. Silly rabbit.

      21. I really feel we are coming to a time of just meet this BS with violence, always know who your local puppets are so when things go very wrong they are eliminated.

        • Warchild, that day is coming, unless Trump takes action, but I’m not counting on it. Keep all your options open.

        • see my comment above.

      22. The government owns the rainwater?

Who here thinks the 2A was for target shooting and hunting?

What you don’t control, you don’t own. Its a maxim of law.

Don’t argue with them, state in clear terms exactly what the law is. Cut the dam. Put a standpipe with a T at near the bottom. Leave the T open. Leave the pond drained. Then, draft a letter to the state. Claim that you have returned their property. The law is this: If you cannot stop your rainwater from either falling on or draining on to my property, it is mine. I claim it. If you do not stop your rainwater from filling my pond, I will bring a lawsuit against you just as if you cattle were eating my crops or trampling my ground.

Fuck the state! Its all color of law anyways. When they drag you into court, or you drag them into court, when it comes to order, jump to your feet, announce that this is a constitutional court and any officers of the corporation are to leave immediately. They won’t, they’ll demand a recess and pull you into the judges chambers. Refuse to go. Someone needs to do this over and over until these lying bastards are sentenced to be hung by the neck until dead by a constitutional court!

You can’t claim something that you can’t stop and that you can’t control ESPECIALLY if it is going onto someone else’s land.

        • Freedom dies by nips and bites. They are taking a big chunk with this one. Own the water, own the flood, kind of takes it out of the realm of an act of God.

      23. Net ranger, damn good points. The water never has belonged to govt. and never will.

      24. From the standpoint of property tax assessments, the land with a pond on it is more valuable to the taxing authority than land with no pond. ???

      25. “The Water Commission has rights..”
That is a false premise. The “water commission” has duty, not rights. Rights reside with the people, not the government.

        • Thank you for pointing this out. Many gov’t entities think they have rights but they don’t. Let’s help them learn this principle.

          • I agree! Let’s go down to our local water authorities and give them a blanket party from hell!

      26. Government Destroys Couple’s Rights Over Rainwater: “If You’re Honest, They Take Everything Away”

… again I retort … fuck these assholes … if they fuck with you in this manner … shoot them in the face not once … but twice in the face and let them stagger off to die in the distance of a slow death.

Your business … is not their business … fuck ’em all till they die!!!

        • FTW, what does FTW stand for? For the Widow?

Seriously, I’ll give you $10.00 if you shoot even ONE person that comes to your property to tell you to give back your rainwater. Are you really that stupid that you believe they will just stop coming because you shot one of them? LOL!!

That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all year!

          • Maybe so, but you understood exactly what he ment , right?
and I bet if you were the next “inspector” ordered to trespass on his land , you’d be asking for it to be someone else now, wouldn’t you?

            • 10$!! ., .. 10$?

              nigga, please

          • $10.00? You are CHEAP.

          • You want to see stupid, check out the idiot Billy Hill and his solicitation for murder of public employees in an open forum.

            • Hahahaha, good one. But I’m not soliciting for murder, I’m betting he’s not that stupid that I’ll never have to worry about paying the $10 dollars because I honestly believe he’s too chicken-shit to really do it. I’ve said it here for years. About many of you. And I stand by my statements. You won’t do anything if they come to your door with warrants and Sheriffs and such. I don’t think any of us are that stupid. (I hope)

One thing’s for sure… I’m not stupid enough to make those claims on open, public forums like many here do. LOL.

      27. The late Sir Fred Hoyle – who should need no introduction to anyone past a junior high education – said about the climate modeling that keeps failing: “Understanding the Earth’s greenhouse effect does not require complex computer models in order to calculate useful numbers for debating the issue… To raise a delicate point, it is not very sensible to make approximations… and then perform a highly complicated computer calculation, while claiming arithmetical accuracy of the computer as the standard for the whole investigation.” (In fact the famed W.C. Rontgen wrote in 1894 about models, noting “It is almost always possible to compare the results of thought processes with reality to provide the experimental scientist with the proof he needs. If the result does not agree with reality, the former in necessarily incorrect, even if the speculation that led to the result was ever so ingenious or fanciful.” – cited from A.N. Tschaeche of the Idaho National Engineering Laboratory, in Chemical Health and Safety, July/Aug. 1996)

David Legates of the University of Delaware College of Earth, Ocean, & Environment, who is skeptical of climate change predictions of catastrophe, realized years ago that his independent position means that he should not accept corporate money for research or speaking fees. “There’s a lot more money to be made by saying the world is coming to an end than to say that this is a bunch of hooey.”

Professor Emeritus Friedrich Karl Ewert a geologist from Paderborn University noted the “evaluation of long-term temperature readings . . . disprove that we have man-made global warming,” and presented the results of his analysis at a CFACT meeting in 2011 that of over 1,100 temperature curves from around the world, concluding, “the final result is that in 74% of all stations of the world we had no warming.” While the UN has often been told there will be terrible consequences if the CO2 concentration in the atmosphere remains at or increases from the current 390 parts per million (ppm), Dr. Ewert pointed out that “in the geological past, we had the greatest glaciation of the earth (the glacier went down to 35 degrees north) when we have carbon dioxide content of the atmosphere of 1400 [ppm]. That means it was several times higher than today.” In other words, the historical evidence proves CO2 does not control earth’s climate. Dr. Ewert summarizes “It is necessary to conclude that the particular effect of manmade carbon dioxide production is not recognizable, in other words, does not exist.”

“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” – Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

“Inevitably in climate science, when data conflicts with models, a small coterie of scientists can be counted upon to modify the data…That the data should always need correcting to agree with models is totally implausible and indicative of a certain corruption within the climate science community.” Dr. Richard Lindzen, MIT

“Today’s debate about global warming is essentially a debate about freedom. The environmentalists would like to mastermind each and every possible (and impossible) aspect of our lives.”
        – Former Czech president Vaclav Klaus, in Blue Planet in Green Shackles

“I want to …talk about … the rise of what has been called consensus science. I regard consensus science as an extremely pernicious development that ought to be stopped cold in its tracks. Historically, the claim of consensus has been the first refuge of scoundrels; it is a way to avoid debate by claiming that the matter is already settled. … “Let’s be clear: the work of science has nothing whatever to do with consensus. Consensus is the business of politics. Science, on the contrary, requires only one investigator who happens to be right, which means that he or she has results that are verifiable by reference to the real world. In science consensus is irrelevant. What is relevant is reproducible results…“There is no such thing as consensus science. If it’s consensus, it isn’t science. If it’s science, it isn’t consensus. … .” … Consensus is invoked only in situations where the science is not solid enough. Nobody says the consensus of scientists agrees that E = mc². Nobody says the consensus is that the sun is 93 million miles away. It would never occur to anyone to speak that way.”
        – Dr. Michael Crichton in a speech at the California Institute of Technology, cited from

        • TEST
“Even you have not figured it out yet?”

Native Americans figured it out very quickly.
The United States NEVER honored ONE treaty with Native People.
If they did honor treaty. Then Pipeline protests in Dakotas would not be happening a hundred years later Today.

+”Papers, Ordinances and Law are just tools of manipulation.”
+”Laws are excuse and tool for the Rich to ABUSE and Rob everyone else.”
+”Laws and Justice are ONLY for the Rich. Tools the Government and the Rich can use to TAKE, STEAL, and Destroy YOU and your Family with.”

Government is out to INTENTIONALLY Destroy your Family, Take your Wealth, Control you with Laws and Placate-Pacify you into being Submissive patriotic Believer. Just a con job for the suckers, “YOU”. They get you to fight their Wars.

You sir will get no justice by hiring a Lawyer. Because the Corporations and Government have unlimited resources. They can outspend you. The judges are “their” boys. Ever heard of a “Home Town Referee.”

But now the government even manipulates science data as a tool to achieve their goals of Theft and Control.

+The government can’t even be Honest about something as Simple as the Weather.

Sorry to break the news at Christmas season. There is NO Santa Clause.
Just as There are NO “Constitutional Rights”. No justice.
Just Police thugs goons with more guns, out to Rob Steal Control Loot from you. That is Government. That is the Real World.

From the US Governments View Point:
You are a sheep to be sheared. Cow to be milked.
A goat to be slaughtered at their appointed time. The all mighty US government decides. They will use drones to Murder Americans without trial. To condemn human beings to Death not because of evidence even. Because of patterns of travel and suspected behavior. NOT because of fact evidence truth.

There is a movie on HBO-Showtime “Good Kill”. That is reason my children will never be in military. Reason many good guys and gals left service. This has been going on for long long time.

Laws-Edicts-Rules-Flu shots-Hospitals-Inflation-Drones, These are the tools the government and corporations use to rob and kill you with.

No I am not “paranoid”. I saw the these things throughout a life of delusion. I found out that there is no Santa. There is no Constitution. There is no justice. We are ALL on a SLAVE plantation. No matter skin color or religion.

+++++Stay Away from All Government and Courts.–All you need to know.

      28. Sounds like a exercise we did to the native americans.
Do the words GENOCIDE ring a bell ??????????

      29. They don’t bust our balls about collecting water. They don’t want you to have standing water on your property cus it breeds mosquitos. A lot of wooded areas are considered wetlands. Anybackfilling is illegal. However if they wanna build a new Walmart there by all means go right ahead. Greedy Corporations can do what ever they want. Fucking hate corporations. I’m not against people making $ just corporations have rigged it so they get all the $ and have lawyers to keep it that way.

      30. The rain belongs to GOD, and GOD allows man to benefit from it. That means all people who inhabit the earth. Matthew 5:45, He causes his sun to rise on the evil and on the good, and sends his rain on the just and unjust. If not for Jehovah God man would have nothing, He created it and He gives it to man. There is no ownership of rain, only to the processed poison of water utility companies.

        • So your saying GOD is the GOVT>?

      31. Turn this around . As the water belongs to the government then it is liable for any damage done by it . That should keep some lawyers busy for years .

      32. Eventually the mobs and the pitchforks will show up. And yes eventually the EBT cards will cease working. Eventually the government will go broke. It is all a plan of the left after all. So if i was you I wouldn`t be celebrating the pitchforks showing up. The left plan for a Stalinist revolution. If they control the presidency this is possible. So we have 4 years to get ready. Doubtful we have 8. When all the city folk are starving; they will support a Stalinist government that goes on a murderous rampage against the country folk. Study what happened in the Ukraine in 1932. The commies showed up at everyone`s front door and took every last morsel of food. 10 MILLION UKRAINIANS STARVED TO DEATH. They plan on doing it again. And they plan on making rainwater collection illegal nationwide. How can you live without water? (in the country). The point is ‘HIDE YOUR FOOD! UNDERGROUND WOULD BE BEST. HAVE PLENTY OF 5 GALLON WATER CONTAINERS. HAVE PLENTY OF LARGER WATER CONTAINERS. IF YOU GO TO THE CITY YOU WILL BE TOLD WHEN IT IS YOUR TURN TO DIE. SOYLENT GREEN ANYONE???

        • Good post and true!

      33. basically if you desire to be a self sufficient human being, you are the enemy of a criminal government who only want dependent human slaves

      34. Let’s set the story straight: I live in the area. I own property. You cannot buy a property which has water on it, and not register that water right with the Water Master and then sell it to someone else with the water rights. If they are not registered with the Water Master, they become the property of the County. The couple who are being harrassed did not do their research well enough or they would have known the sellers were not registered and the pond was illegal. Further, as this guy is growing Pot but giving it away, he is not following the rules of cultivation for marijuana in the County, and the County Supervisors take a very dim view of this. So really what they are trying to do is shut down his unlawful grow site, and the pond which is also illegal, is the means to do it.

      35. I’ve sent this report to Sean Hannity. Let’s see what happens…

      36. So if the town “owns” the water that falls from the sky, doesnt that make them responsible for any water damage that may occur. After all they didnt get permission to dump rain on your house.

      37. You cannot corporate with a dictatorship government. The government does not own water ,or air or anything else in the sky. But before i would go to jail, i would make sure to send some of these people to hell. You going to jail anyway, why not take them out.

      38. What ever happened to you own your property and can do what ever you want with it. Homeowners associations telling you you can’t grow a food garden, flowers is OK though. Lol
Just so they aren’t edible because we don’t want you to have food and water because we want to control you. Give us your guns too so you can’t fight. They want control of water on the west coast because the Chinese are buying farmland cheap so they can take America’s food.
My advise, everyone there, dig holes for water, it would be like the tea party only its on your own land !!!

      39. There is no such thing as private land ownership in the United States. If you dont pay your rent “property taxes” the landlord “the government” will evict you and find new tenants.
