Theoretically, space and the orbit around Earth is a peaceful place, and the world wants to keep it that way.
But in practicality, it is the subtle front of modern warfare, where exotic weaponry and high tech gadgetry are used to operate systems on the ground, and assert dominance over the spheres of the planet. And tensions are running high.
The Pentagon has issued an alarming new report to Congress that identifies several secretive and publicly unknown projects under development in China that it perceives to a be an attempt to militarize space and undermine U.S. military and strategic interests.
In particular, the Pentagon report concerns the use of anti-satellite space weapons, which is has not been forthcoming to the public about:
The Pentagon has declared “China possesses the most rapidly maturing space program in the world.” […] Among the key issues are the Chinese regime’s experiments with space weapons. It has tested several of these, and has consistently told the public that it was testing something else.
The United States is concerned that the Chinese regime’s “continued development of destructive space technologies” is a “threat to all peaceful space-faring nations,” states the Pentagon’s 2015 annual report to Congress on the Chinese regime’s military and security developments.
The report is particularly concerned with China’s use of directed-energy weapons, satellite jammers and other technology that can be used to take out the communications grid and weaken U.S. military positions:
Such programs are of particular concern for the United States. A significant part of modern military power relies on satellites—from GPS and communications, to early warning systems.
The Chinese regime’s development of weapons designed to disable or destroy satellites, the report states, are “inconsistent with China’s public statements about the use of space for peaceful purposes.”
The most notorious of these tests was in January 2007 when the Chinese regime launched a rocket and destroyed one of its own satellites. Today, however, its space weapons have gone far beyond rockets to include directed-energy weapons and satellite jammers.
There has also been concern about “small maneuvering satellites that can attack orbiting satellites” under development by China.
China’s previous demonstration of its ability to destroy one of its own satellites in orbit has already been seen as a direct threat to American interests in space, which in turn control communications, navigation and weapons technology. Now, the latest Pentagon report has gone so far as to label China as a military threat – a sensitive declaration that diplomats and politicians have been all too reluctant to do.
The report claims secretive Chinese pursuit of these aims have included “military writings” about the need to destroy and damage satellites in effort to “blind and deafen the enemy.”
Adding concern to an already suspicious program, Chinese defense academics often publish reports on the Chinese regime’s space weapons, the report states, yet “no additional anti-satellite programs have been publicly acknowledged.”
Its military writings, however, “emphasize the necessity of ‘destroying, damaging, and interfering with the enemy’s reconnaissance … and communications satellites,’” the report states. The statements suggest, it notes, the Chinese regime may be targeting navigation and early warning satellites, for programs “designed to ‘blind and deafen the enemy.’”
If defense posturing by the Pentagon is to be taken at face value – as they report to Congress, who authorize their funding – this high tech militancy is much more alarming than anything ISIS or small potato terrorist groups are doing on the ground.
That’s because China appears to be targeting the U.S. directly:
“Soon every satellite in every orbit will be able to be held at risk,” Raymond told the website Breaking Defense.

The Chinese regime categorizes its anti-satellite weapons with its little-disclosed “Assassin’s Mace” and “Trump Card” weapons. A report from the National Ground Intelligence Center, declassified in 2011, states “These modern Trump Card and Assassin’s Mace weapons will permit China’s low-technology forces to prevail over U.S. high-technology forces in a localized conflict …”
Russia is also believed to be building up a space weapons program.
Behind the scenes, there has been work for many years on ratifying and finalizing an international treaty banning the weaponization of space.
But the superpowers of the planet are hardly ready to yield control over their positions.
The United States has opposed draft treaty introduced jointly by Russia and China in 2008, and updated in 2014, on grounds that the two Eastern bloc nations are secretly building up arms in space. Objections to such a treaty are significant inside the Defense Dept.:
“The Chinese and Russians have no interest in actually abiding by any international treaty that limits the militarization of space, but they are keen to get the United States to tie itself in knots over one,” Tkacik said.

Additionally, the space arms ban treaty is part of Russian and Chinese efforts to attack U.S. and allied missile defenses, which are heavily reliant on space sensors and weapons.
Additionally, “Russia is certain to cheat on any space treaty,” Schneider said. “They have announced that they are developing ASAT weapons. Moreover, they may be developing space offensive weapons.”
The Soviet Union in the 1960s deployed a nuclear space weapon system called the fractional orbital bombardment system. It used an orbiting strategic missile in low earth orbit that was designed to de-orbit and attack the United States by transiting southward from the South Pole to avoid radar detection.
Russian military writings have indicated recently that Moscow may revive the orbiting southern polar missile attack system. Analysts have said that in addition to providing Moscow with a first-strike space nuclear weapon, the system could also be used in a devastating electro-magnetic pulse attack over U.S. territory that would destroy all electronics over a large area.
It would appear that the Cold War has officially be revived, with China as a new player.
Among other things, it gives credence to concerns about a deliberate EMP attack by an enemy determined to knock out the grid and disable the population of the United States. Many Defense Dept. and Homeland Security officials are now stoking fears of the potential catastrophe, while the military is re-fortifying Cheyenne Mountain in preparation to shield military operations from such a major scale event.
Whether such a thing would actually happen is up for debate.

The U.S. Air Force is set to launch the fourth flight of its X-37B space plane on May 20, and new details are unfolding about the upcoming mystery mission.
For this latest flight of the X-37B space plane, also known as the Orbital Test Vehicle (OTV), the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office has teamed up with several partners, including NASA, to test experimental space technologies.
“With the demonstrated success of the first three missions, we’re able to shift our focus from initial checkouts of the vehicle to testing of experimental payloads,” Randy Walden, director of the Air Force Rapid Capabilities Office overseeing the flight, said in a statement.

Easy preps for an EMP while driving:
Carry the tools to disconnect your battery- if your car dies and won’t start some cars will reset the ‘circuit latch’ that an emp can cause if you unhook from the battery for a moment. (if your car is fried you may be taking the batt out anyway)
Also have replacement fuses for your car. And a spare set of spark plugs, with a plug socket- some cars blow out the instrument panels in an emp, fry the gaps and fuses, but the electronics actually hold up from designed EM hardening.
For the home, the more things you keep unplugged the better. Avoid ‘long wire runs’ (power lines, phone lines) by at least 8 feet during an EMP event.
The US government is in trouble. If the Chinese knock out communication sats we might not be able to get our cable tv shows. Lost reception is worse than higher taxes to most boob tube watchers. Take my guns, but damn it, leave my remote alone. This is war!

I have a little work called The Image of The Beast. Not gonna post here and now but will just throw out something to think about.
Ever wonder why it became mandatory for all stations to go to “digital” broadcasting? When the gov/TPTB put their demands on something, then it is a good bet that it will benefit TPTB in the long run.

Here is what I believe, in a condensed version. The workings of gov/TPTB is all being done out of a lust for power, greed, and control. The father of all that, is none other than Satan.

Back to TV. What are we seeing, when we watch TV? We are seeing an image of a person/persons, and or things. Even with live TV, that isn’t a real person in that TV set that one can touch. It is a digitally transferred “image”.
TV reception isn’t going away. It may not be available through the channels and programming that most are accustomed to like “cable”. At the retreat, we have a high quality antenna with a signal booster hooked to it. I can pick up about 40 channels and in most cases they come in clearer than our satellite cable at the main house.
There has to be an available TV signal for the beast, to portray his role to the world, through his “image” so that the world will whore after his image and pay allegiance to the image, that he is portraying as “the Messiah returned”. Even folks with old analog TV’s have or can get access to a digital transmission switch box.

There have been some bulk shipping bankruptcies in recent months – Eagle Bulk Shipping, Copenship, and China’s Winland Ocean Shipping Corp. I don’t know if or how that affected the numbers.
The index has risen some. But, the numbers are still LOW, compared to last year at this time.
Last year there were concerns voiced in the financial news when the index was in the mid 800’s.

We get an EMP, everybody gets an EMP. You don’t think we are going down alone do you? Probably the only thing that has prevented it so far.
I think an EMP attack by an enemy is quite possible. what I don’t think is that it would effect the WHOLE USA. To be sure, the whole USA would have a trickle down effect from an EMP and many would face hardships, but as far as totally taking out the grid of the entire country, I am a little skeptic about that kind of scenario. I would be more concerned about some sort of invasion or attack in addition to an EMP that would be attempting to “seal our coffin” as it were while we were trying to fix the grid that was taken down.

Would be the worst case scenario. We are all prepared I hope for the power to go out. There would be mass panic and immediate death if this happened. Riots and looting would begin at that very moment.
God help people if they are caught on the highway. God help people in airplanes. Can you imagine all the plains dropping out of the sky at the same time. Can you imagine conditions at jails, hospitals, nursing homes. What would happen to all the children if they were caught at school. The destruction that would happen afterward would shock us all. .02, I read “One Second After” 2 years ago. Not a very easy read. When I got to the part where the guy’s diabetic daughter died, I had to put the book down and it took me until the next day to pick it back up. In the last chapter, it was estimated that out of 300,000,000 people in the US when the EMP hit, maybe 30,000,000 at most were still alive one year after the event, and that was only an estimate. I think the final estimate in a real scenario will be much lower. Hopefully I’ll be at the BOL when it hits.

a part of me is very tempted to get me a ****** pill for when time comes to get outta here, but the other half want to stay up to witness the entire thing as it is very Unique event LOL.
I had several nightmares in the past where a big white explosion took place that left everything completely anihilated. The word “evil” or “monstrous” is too weak of a word to describe what those nightmares unveiled.
Now I realize maybe they were flashes of the future. At the time I was very happy and everything was simply swell, so I had no reason whatsoever to have such frightening dreams.
I don’t buy the massive death toll expected from an EMP.
The population in 1935 in the midst of the Great Depression was 137 million. Much of the population had limited or no electricity, people still used Ice Boxes that used ice, most homes had no central heat or plumbing. Massive numbers of people were unemployed.
People did starve, people did resort to crime and violence. Corruption in government was rampant. In a word it sucked to live through the Great Depression.
Never the less life went on. To quote the movie Jurassic Park, “life will find a way”, and isn’t that what prepping is all about?
Yeah but…..in 1935 a lot more people lived on subsistence farms, and so could feed themselves. Today virtually all rural folks primary food supplies come by train and truck from cali or mexico or wherever. EVEN THE FARMERS. Farming is now a specialized business. Grow two or three industrial crops, use the money to buy food at a grocery store. The old time self sufficient farms are GONE. Even the Amish around me depend on the ambient technology for tools, material, and yes, part of their foodstuffs. I see a couple of local families at our local grocery quite often.
Break down the logistics system, which is all on the Internet, and even rural folks like me will have only what they have stored.
If they are prepared with tools, soil and seed, they’ll be able to grow a crop in a year or so, but even the rural folks I live around aren’t rigged up for that. And I guarondamteeya that NOBODY has clue #1 of how much backbreaking labor it will require, even if they do figure out what has to be done.
Myself, I figure that maybe 5% will figure it out, organize themselves with enough labor land, water, seed, livestock and tools, and eke out a living.
I agree with much of what you are saying. People are clueless. I was trying to be optimistic though. I would imagine the government will be stepping in, confiscating food crops and trying to feed the clueless masses, that is until they collapse and bankrupt the farmers.
If the SHTF at the height of the spring planting season how many Americans would get off their duffs and plow up the backyard lawn and plant a garden, or go buy some egg laying hens.
I have a nice little veggy garden, but it’s small and it took years to build up the soil in it. I could plow up four to six times the area in the back yard and use my existing soil to improve that larger garden. And yes I have a backup supply of fresh heirloom vegetable seed. If the SHTF those little racks of garden seed in the hardware stores and garden centers will vanish in a blink, never to be replaced.
I have an asparagus bed that is producing great right now, but that took four years to establish. I also have a well established raspberry patch.
I’m planting four more fruit trees right now, brutal work with our hard pan soil. I dig a hole 6 feet across by two feet deep. It’s a lot of dirt, I’m mixing 30% peat moss with the crappy clay soil plus other soil amendments like weathered mulch and other goodies, then refill the hole, then plant the tree.
Once in these trees should be good for thirty years. I was thinking that when the collapse comes it will likely last a decade. The trees I just planted are large enough they will be producing in just a year or two. If I got the soil right they should take off. For anyone that waits to see just how bad the famine is before they take action, simply won’t make it.
I’m about there, too. Small garden for “treats” in season, not nearly enough to be canning or storing in bulk. And I’ve got all the prerequsites for a farm, except that I’m past 70, body been rode hard and put away wet for too many years.
Anybody who waits until the fit hits the Shan will be too late to buy chickens! And even chickens are work. I grew up with a flock running about 30 hens. Ever clean out a chicken house in July?
A good book is “Revolution Down on the Farm” by Paul Conklin. He grew up on a Tennessee subsistence farm, but became a historian, focusing on agriculture. First chapter of the book is an excellent, detailed survey of how subsistence farming worked before electricity and tractors. The rest of the book is about how technology and most importantly government “programs” and subsidies have changed agriculture into what we see today.
Farming without a tractor?
I’m using the 55 year old Simplicity garden tractor my dad bought when I was a kid. It still starts on the first pull. I can’t even imagine digging these holes and moving two yards of soul without it. The old tiller attachment tears through the hard pan and I can just shovel off the loose soil. I’m on tree number three today!
This tractor is small but could still plow and till an acre in a couple hours on about two quarts of gasoline. It’s been used heavy for snow removal, but thank God it keeps on chugging. I spent a couple hours servicing it this morning, it’s been a true blessing.

Enemy of state the pallet projects are a great way to build stuff. I do it my company throws out so many they fill up a 20 yardrolloff . The guys take them and burn them in their backyard furnaces. I’ve gotten other nice lumber like new sheets of plywood and 2x4s. I put a floor up in my attic so I can store stuff cost me nothing. I’ve seen some of the projects on you tube with pallets. You could build a rabbit hutch or chicken coop. You could build a nice free cabin with free pallets and other reclaimed free lumber. It would be a lot better than something built from the trees. For me I’d burn em you can put a crappy old blade on a skill saw and cut down to fit in the stove. Most are hardwood. I’ve seen some small crates that would be sweet to store stuff. 55 gal steel drums and blue plastic. One of the benefits of freight industry.

I just seen something on TV out of the corner of my eye (my wife watches) that was quite interesting. On the TV show Blacklist, James Spader informed a pile of investigative reporters of the existence of a supra government that he referred to as “The Cabal”. He went through some of their actions like starting wars, economic control, price fixing, media control and more.
There is no better way to discredit the existence of groups like Bulderburg and the Trilateral Commission then to put them on a fantasy TV show. They hid in the shadows like rats for years but their actions in the last few decades have been so bold as to make their existence more obvious.

That was the extent of anything I had to do with “outing” the SGT. Period.
Six, the .gov knows exactly who is posting on all boards and can read your emails, hear your cell phone and watch and hear you through your tv. IP addresses on every post points right back at said person. Sgt Dale should have kept his id a bit more under wraps by not using his real name for starters, not giving clues to his where abouts and basically if BJ or POG tracked him, Sgt Dale is the one at fault for not keeping Op Sec.

If I misspoke, I stand corrected, and if anapology is in order, please accept it. RP1776 seems to be the originator of this last round. Exactly who was it then, who recently said they had taken details they found here and used them to locate Sgt Dale, and the reported info? I’ve lost track of the posts. I guess those who got in on the feeding frenzy know who they are, I don’t need to point it out. It doesn’t really matter now anyway.
However, that does not change the fact that we now seem to have more to fear from each other, than we do the govt. When people whom we felt just a little bit comfortable with, turn on us right in public, it shatters our trust.

We cluster together as long as we see something in it for ourselves, but we’ll back bite anyone within reach, at the drop of a hat. Not just insolent nips, but vicious, ripping jaws that aim to draw blood. THAT IS MY ISSUE WITH WHAT’S GOING ON HERE, not who in particular, outed Sgt Dale.
It’s not just about “jews” anymore. It’s about vicious verbal attacks against people we don’t even know…just because we got mad and we can. As usual, the revelation of that one issue, quickly turned into supposition about whether the Sgt is a fed, a got plant or some other kind of usurper — FROM SOME OF THE SAME PEOPLE WHO APPRECIATED HIS PREVIOUS COMMENTS AND OPINIONS.
Did anybody even ask Sgt Dale for his side? Or did he have to offer it on his own? There’s about enough LOYALTY in this entire group, to fill a thimble. Many people on here should be ashamed of themselves. Not because of their past mistakes, but for driving wedges into a site where other people are trying to establish alliances and security, for when the rest of this shitty world comes crashing down on us.
We’ll have already crushed ourselves, if we keep going like this.

And another thing, BJ came to my house. I took him out to my range and we shot distance. He is a great guy, with an awesome family. Was I worried about op sec? Hell no. We all should meet him and I have a feeling POG is a great gal as well. I hang out at many other sites and post or just watch, but this one seems to have a bit more cohesiveness amongst the group. There is not 24/7 flame wars here like on most the others.
It worked for Infowars, no comments anymore. Fear fatigue is capable of turning us on each other. We must realize that as the noose tightens on freedom’s neck, communication will become less clear and open to misinterpretation and be so by design for operational security purposes. And then it will disappear altogether. After that only the poets will speak the metaphors and when they hang the poets, it is done. Six pack I agree that this site is an easy way to bag yourself. I try to keep my comments from getting me in trouble but there is a fine line. To track anything to us will be difficult sure they can track it back to our devices but devices can be shared and as long as the users agree to deny any accusations they don’t have anyone. I tell guys at work this no matter what even if you know who did it. You don’t know they will not punish all of us for one incident just because they can’t find out who did it.
