Why answer the questions?
I went in for a colonoscopy and they gave me 3 pages of questions. I handed it back to them blank. Then the nurse tried to prod me into answering the questions. I told her that it was none of her/their business. She was surprised. I asked her if she could guarantee that it would never be accessed by the government or used against me in the future? Got her thinking.
My doctor’s office tried to get me to schedule a physical at the start of the year, but I refused. I felt a little suspicious about it being part of Obamacare and told them I was still uninsured and uncertain if I was getting insurance when they tried to tell me it was free and covered by insurance. The sad thing is that this now pits doctors against patients and removes the wall of confidentiality that was expected when dealing with a doctor. Now, people who own guns and would like to keep them can no longer seek treatment for mental health issues. This may have unintended consequences as people will choose not to treat certain conditions and die because of it.
Slowly the noose gets tighter. I would be happy-happy to give up my guns when all of Hollyweird, the Lame Stream Media, and de Gubermint does de same.

I recently went to the doctors office for mandatory blood work for the blood pressure meds I take which I might add is slightly elevated. The nurse and doctor both asked about depression so yes they are looking and I might add not qualified to make any assessment. But don’t try to take my guns because my blood pressure will go up!!! Lol
Thor- NO blood work is “mandatory”. Your doctor has to subscribe you your meds, otherwise they would be putting your life at risk. Politely refuse the blood work and ask him/her to fill your rX.
Not true. We don’t have to prescribe if the meds themselves can be causing problems. Elevated renal values, liver enzymes, potassium/sodium imbalances, glomerulonephritis with hypoalbuminemia, etc, etc. The frequency of testing has a lot of lee way, but we can’t just prescribe on and on without knowledge of what we may be damaging on the inside.
Not so,the blood work is to make sure that the medication doesn’t hurt my liver if it has any bad reaction then I would get changed to a different med.but its working.
A doctor would be guilty of malpractice if he or she did not order necessary blood work or other testing required for the safe use of any medication that was prescribed.
And ill results resulting from prescribing without the needed testing could actually cost him or her their license.

My wife has been going for years, because of Type 2 diabetes and during one of her annual physicals AFTER she went on Medicare the doctor asked her if we had guns in the house and if they were secured.

People defending the second amendment (rightly) blame most of the senseless mass shootings on mental illness and psychiatric drugs and call for something to be done about it instead of blaming guns and gun owners in general.

Doctor: Do you own any guns?
Commie hater: Have you killed any commies?
Doctor: I’m asking the questions. Are you depressed?
Commie hater: I’ve fought in two wars. I’ve killed a lot of commies, still do. How many commies have you killed?
Doctor: This isn’t about commies. This is about depression. You know, don’t you, that if you’re depressed the government will confiscate your firearms?
