Was a Major Air Traffic Control Center Near Washington Just Hacked?

Just yesterday, The New York Times reported that a “technical problem” an an air traffic control center in Leesburg, Virginia near Washington was responsible for 462 flight delays and 476 cancellations at airports all over the East Coast this weekend.
The Air Route Traffic Control Center is one of 22 in the country. According to Wikipedia, this particular center covers the Washington/Baltimore, New York and Philadelphia metropolitan areas just to name a few. It handles some five million flights a year and is the third busiest air traffic control center in the U.S.
Throughout the story, NYT continually refers to the “problem”. Other outlets covering the story called it a “malfunction” or a “glitch”. The FAA’s official Facebook page referred to it as an “automation problem” to be more specific.
At the time of writing this, they are still “continuing to diagnose the cause” of the “problem”.
So… is it another hack?
It’s not like anyone official would tell us anyway, but it follows that it might be considering lots of these weird “glitches” and “technical problems” keep happening on a mass scale lately.
Last month, on the exact same day, the New York Stock Exchange, United Airlines and the Wall Street Journal all experienced “technical glitches” too. What a coincidence.
You know, it’s not as if they’d announce a cyberwar on the nightly mainstream news or anything. (On a side note, there still hasn’t been any official word — just conjecture — on why that plant in China recently blew up either…)
When the NYSE, the WSJ, and United Airlines were all coincidentally hit with “technical glitches” on the same day last month, authorities did make sure to reassure us that it definitely wasn’t hackers.
We’ll probably hear the same thing this time, too.

My PC had it worked on, only used it once, then it sat, figured if i didnt turn it on no problem, then one night i noticed it was on but screen was dark, so unplugged it, tried watching NOAA satellite vid feed when we had last storm and the computer was screwed,,, couldnt even function, kept getting a screen to call tech support at Oceantic Time Warner,
I flipped, took a framing hammer to the whole thing keyboard screen and all and recycled it into a iddy biddy box full o plastic and circut board pieces,,,
Will NEVER own another windows based device of any sort and am looking to ditch my iphone too, i just really like having my tunes on one device with everything else.

Lol, you should have been around for Windows 3.0.. I have been using this free computer my son gave me because he gets free upgrades from where his wife works and it has Windows XP. Bill the faggot eugenicist baby killing Gates sent me a popup message a couple years ago saying they will no longer support XP and I better upgrade to windows Vista 7 8 9 or 10 but guess what? He is a fvking liar as I still get regular updates for security and this old heavy Dell boat anchor just keeps on running. I of course have been fighting comps since the late 80’s so I know how to keep everything clean and running in top form. Windows XP and 98 were Bill’s best op systems hands down.
You can still keep Windows XP up to date with updates, you just have to fake being a cash machine (autotellers and such), they still support them.
Forget how you do it but you can find instructions on the internet.
My laptops have XP, and they continue downloading updates. I keep XP because I have some old DOS and Windows software that won’t run on my current computer. If one major piece of software I use every week ever gets ported to Linux, or I find a suitable Linux replacement, I will ditch Windows and switch to Linux.

I was FORCED (after stalling and resisting for several YEARS) to agree to a “direct deposit” for my deceased husband’s annuity check from the federals. I was informed that if I continued to refuse to direct deposit, the check would no longer come to me in my mail box and after 90 days the account would be “scrubbed”.
So………… now that the government has managed to get most of the people who get SS or even their pay “direct deposited” into a “banking institution”…. we are literally at their mercy!!!
They HAVE THE CONTROL of the money….. they can shut the faucet off any time they want… those computer “glitches” are the death knell for millions of people.
Isn’t that just the most CONVENIENT state of affairs?
If it were me I would be at the bank every day the check is deposited and remove the cash physically.

That’s what I do. Both my pension and SS checks are required to be direct deposited, so twice a month I go to the bank and remove all in cash except what I need to cover electronic bills.

Unfortunately, this is how many business’s do Payroll these days.
Up until 3 years ago I was getting the standard weekly paper check, then the company decided to go ‘electronically’. They claim it is cheaper to do this route instead of issuing out paper forms.
I can see their point of view on cost, but I do not like my earnings being deposited in that manner.
There is no alternative, either you go along with this payroll system, or you don’t work for the company – period.
I avoid any and all types of on-line transactions with funds. I avoid using my debit card when possible and I have tossed away my credit cards.
In due time, everybody will be included in the “electronic Payroll system”. As is, it seems most people are used to swiping their cards, even on something that may be worth as little as a soda pop.
Their way of introducing and providing a habit for the future of a cashless society. At least this is how I pretty much determine the logic behind it.
Also factor in the bank gets a cut every time the card is used. THIS is the main reason there is a big push behind cashless transactions. These parasites have no bounds to their insatiable greed.
See you HR person. I do Payroll, and there is an option to stay with printed checks. But it is a pain, since it’s a few extra steps and then having to get it signed by a corp officer. Doing it electronically, is pretty easy, and in our company you can spread your pay across five banks if you want to.

And, so what if you get a check or a deposit? Your check is going to be deposited at a bank, either paper or electronic, even if you sign it over to the convenience store down the street, it’s still going to go through a bank. Do you think your check is going to circulate through the economy with dozens of ‘Pay to the Order of…” endorsements on the back?

Dear Melissa, I’ve got the scoop… The software was unstable in a live environment and it appears didn’t have all the bugs worked out of it before it was implemented. My co-workers and Air Traffic Controllers say this company is “hiding” the real issue. The FAA just put out a “well spun” press release to hide the truth.

If detonated high enough in the atmosphere, we would see a bright flash and some localized EMP effects. More likely the N Koreans haven’t detonated more than a 10 KT weapon. (S Korea est.) China estimated at most 16 KT.
Gary Smith’s map on Dave Hodge’s site has a single weapon at 30, 120 and 300 miles. You need a fairly large weapon to do this, in the Megaton range, NOT Kiloton.
Go to YouTube and search “Five men at atomic ground zero” This was a 2KT at 10,000 feet. Almost two miles.
On July 8th 1962 11:00:09 Honolulu time a 1.4 MT detonated at an altitude of of 250 miles. It was about 900 miles away from Hawaii (I think Kauai) and it knocked out several hundred street lights and a telephone microwave exchange, cutting off Kauai telephone service to the rest of the Hawaiian islands.
