Regarding a recently released global survey titled Leader’s Report: The Future of Government Communications, the Guardian reports:
Weakened and distrusted central governments around the world have been incapable of responding to the way the internet and social media have empowered populist but previously fringe groups, a unique worldwide survey of government communication chiefs has found.
The survey spanning 40 countries is the first international review to reveal how deeply governments feel they are losing control and authority over communications.

Distrust of central governments and institutions of authority plus Internet as an alternative means of gathering information have combined and snowballed into an uprising of nationalism and populism, although the people attempting to run this dog and pony show like to mush those two concepts together with radicalization and extremism… because if you don’t trust your loving central government, you obviously must be a radical extremist.
“When people feel ignored, unheard and unrepresented they turn to alternative sources of information. If governments do not communicate with citizens properly, citizens will go somewhere elsewhere for information,” the report says.
Another way of reading this? “Waaaah! Our propaganda is no longer working!”
The report also says people are “more apprehensive than perhaps at any time since the end of the cold war”. Really? Could that be because they are finally are more informed?
And yet, the people running things somehow act confused when 75% of the 300 government workers surveyed for the study admit the average citizen’s voice is not taken into account when key decisions are made.
Meanwhile one of the world’s biggest marketing firms called Edelman came out with a survey that found trust in the global power structure including governments, non-governmental organizations, major corporations, and the mainstream media is at an all-time low across the board:
The firm’s 2017 Trust Barometer found that 53 percent of respondents believe the current system has failed them in that it is unfair and offers few hopes for the future, with only 15 percent believing it is working. That belief was evident for both the general population and those with college education.
What do you want to bet that 15 percent who claims to believe the system is actually working are a part of it? The system is working after all… for the elite in charge of it.
This is the first time in 17 years that Edelman has found trust decline in all four sectors surveyed. The findings were across the board, regardless of education level.
In addition, they determined that the burgeoning wealth gap and income inequality are linked to a lack of trust; the lower the income, the less trust. Look around. That makes sense.
The Davos elite’s annual meeting is happening this week and one of the themes this year is about how nationalism will lead to war. China’s President Xi Jinping, the first to attend Davos, is promoting “inclusive globalization” at the forum, warning,
“With the rise of populism, protectionism, and nativism, the world has come to a historic crossroad where one road leads to war, poverty, confrontation and domination while the other road leads to peace, development, cooperation and win-win solutions,” Jiang said.
Jiang believes globalism is the only road to peace, the same tripe the masses of the world have had crammed down our throats by leaders like Jinping since World War II and the creation of the United Nations.
It’s been over 70 years now… how is that working out?

I was trying to figure what to do for my Trump Victory Celebration on Friday night after the inauguration. I am primarily a vegetarian, partly for health reasons but mainly because I can’t afford meat because under Obama, my income hasn’t kept up with my cost of living. I was thinking of splurging and cooking bacon cheeseburgers and a side order of french fries. Maybe a piece of cheesecake for desert. With the increased load of animal fats in my blood vessels, I’ll sit in front of my faithful CRT television set that is older that my grand nieces. I’ll chant “DONALD! Donald! He’s our man! If he can’t do it, nobody can!”. Then I’ll sit and stare at the screen. I’d like to go see a movie but I can’t afford it and most of the theaters have closed due to lack of attendance. They’re located next to stores that have closed. First it was Walmart and now it is Amazon! As a member of the middle class: I’m wondering “What happened to my life? What’s happened to America?”. Then I’ll drink some Canadian Mist whiskey and eat some Lay’s potato chips, salted peanuts, and cheese-its (dinner). Pathetically, it is the same way that I celebrated New Year’s. I’m beginning to wish that SHTF to liven the place up!

To start:
Clean your house up, especially the toilet. Women like clean toilets when they visit for sleep overs. Maybe do some painting inside and out. “Paint Mixing Mistakes” can be bought cheap at big box home improvement stores. I paid $10 for five gallons paint after flirting with clerk. She marked it down from already low price. Plant some flowers too. Make things clean and bright around your place. A woman in your life will change everything to suite her anyway. Your goal is just basic presentation, Good first impression.
Then clean yourself up. Shower, shave, get hair cut. Go to second hand store in good part of town at major city to get some new Used clothes at second hand store for Cheap. I paid $6 for an “expensive when new” designer sport coat. Wash your truck/car, shovel out inside of all trash. Again you want to give good first Impression.
After all that is done. You will pretend to be civilized. Start going to church. Meet women there. Church women are a better risk than bar women. Less problems. Whiskey women are great in bed, but get you shot. I’ve been shot twice. Never caught one in combat. Civilian life much more dangerous. Stay away from bar whiskey women and married women. Or get shot?
Take church girl out on first date. Before you pick her up, You eat at home prior so you aren’t hungry when out. Let her order first, then you drink water and order side salad. If she questions, say “you are getting in better shape.” There you have magical cheap date.
My experience after all the above of “pretending to be civilized” is that women show up on doorstep with bags in hand by date number four maximum. Some by second date. “Not kidding here.”
There you go. Follow my Uncle Mark’s proven advice above. Before long your life will be Very interesting. You will have more problems than you have time for. Especially after the children come. You think you are broke now? Wait until children. You will do nothing but work hard and they will be in need of doctor, cast for broken limbs, ballet lessons, sports gear, etc., You are RICH now compared to what poverty you encounter while being a parent.

Woke up this morning with all kinds of disjointed dreams about the inauguration. I believe they were self generated, but very interesting nonetheless. I remember feeling good about setting up my new Berkey filter because the potable water system was attacked. Also had a dream about portapotties in DC being prank sabotaged. In reality, our on demand hot water heater quit working and I took a cold bath day before yesterday…now sick with a cough. Shows how quickly things can go downhill.
That area of Switzerland is beautiful in the summer. I really couldn’t imagine a place more insulated from the reality of the diversity experiment they have pushed on the rest of the world.
