Just when it seemed we could not get any more email leak excitement, here comes Wikileaks with what it claims is the first batch of emails obtained from a secret address used by president Barack Obama ([email protected]).

The emails appear to all have been released previously, however Wikileaks has filtered the set of emails which have the “bobama” term in the email address.

I subscribe to the cyber alert system that alerts the cyber industry to threats.
Very recently there was the most massive denial of service attack in internet history. Turns out hackers figured out how to exploit IOT protocol (Internet of things) small appliances including Internet ready video cameras, appliances, printers etc, they are taking over massive quantities of these devices and using the to attack their targets.
These devices have weak security, are easy to find, and easy to exploit. Many lack the corporate support and infrastructure needed to correct their weaknesses even after it is recognized.
If anyone uses any of these appliances set them up on their own router behind your primary router and use a VPN connection to talk to it with your smartphone or Tablet. Make sure you set up a password protected guest network connection on your router. Unless a device must talk to another computer, connect it only as guest. The guest network connections only allows a connection to the Internet and not to other devices on your network, so a hacked camera doesn’t allow access to your computer.
Keep your home network as secure as possible, use long random passwords and close all the backdoors. If you don’t know how, search for DIY articles on CNET.com.

Get a wool blanket to put over the cooler in the shade. The ice last longer. How about picking up some Blue Ice Packs while they are still available at the sports store. Think water ice and dry ice. Somewhere Burlap will fit into all this as a means of cooling by evaporation. Getting things clean now will save you time and trouble later. Coolers can be BIG WATER BUCKETS. Even those little lunch bucket types too.
