This is all mostly over my head in these fields of studies. However, I can tell you that I have been on a Keto diet now as a lifestyle and lost 85lbs. and have been healthy for the last 1.5 years! Not even a cold! I consume very low carbs, less than 25 a day as average, with an occasional cheat day with great moderation.
I eat plenty of red meat, pork, chicken, and high fat fish, like sardines, and salmon. Lots of vegetables in the cruciferous category, blue berries, blackberries, Avocado, peppers onions, and garlic. Plenty of cheese, milk, eggs, cottage cheese and nuts! I have kept the weight off with this diet and never feel as if I am really on a diet. It has now become a lifestyle! Also, not sugar, my drinks are water with lemon or apple cider, milk, tea, coffee.
Also olive oil, 2 tbl sp. a day!
Fat, is your friend for energy and loosing weight and carbohydrates are your enemy!
