Marc Faber: Asset Markets Will Have Very Very Wild Swings

by | Mar 27, 2009 | Marc Faber

Dr. Marc Faber, editor and publisher of the Gloom Boom and Doom Report, is interviewed on India’s NDTV on March 25, 2009. Dr. Faber discusses the recent upward market moves in global financial markets, how to invest (trade) during the current economic climate and what to look for going forward.

I always argue that we are in an environment where investors and businessmen have no idea how the future will look. It is better to become a trader and take advantage of relatively short-term market movements and of very strong moves in equity prices. Many equities since November have already doubled or tripled in price.

I’m not interested int he economy and what will work. All I know is Mr. Bernake will print money, and if he doesn’t succeed, he’ll print more money. And so, asset markets will have very very wild swings.
