There are those today who would claim that the lifeblood of a nation is dependent upon the graces of its government. That government is the focal point of cultural growth, and that we as citizens should respect it as such. I would be more inclined to agree if the public did not so easily confuse the ideals of leadership with the actions of criminals. That is to say, regardless of what we wish our government to be, bureaucracies rarely, if ever, embody the spirit of the common man (a necessity for any system that purports to defend the citizenry). Instead, bureaucracies almost inevitably deteriorate into vehicles for the perpetuation of tyranny driven by the very worst of all stewards; elitist minorities with delusions of godhood.
Unfortunately, despite this fact, the masses often treat these industrious vermin and the plagues of society that they build with the same reverence as they would a sincere and honorable body politic.
Government is not nor has it ever been a foregone conclusion. Government is not concrete. It is not tangible. It is not the foundation of society. Instead, government is an abstraction; a fantastic dream of collectivist paternity in the face of individual hardship. Those who fear to wander the world on their own courage, strength, and merit, seek to elevate and empower “decision makers” to provide the comfort of limited liability. Through this process, governments are created out of thin air. All governmental authority is, thus, HANDED to those in positions of leadership. What makes one man a “king” and another man a “peasant”? Only the people of a country, and where they choose to place their personal control; in their own hands, or the hands of others.
To put it simply, there is no power over us but that which we give away, and no freedom lost, that cannot be regained.
Until this reality is understood, consecutive generations of human beings will be left to wonder astonished at the endless atrocities of governments they thought they could trust. The truth is, no government, no matter how seemingly noble, deserves our full faith. All governments must be treated like storehouses of aging dynamite; with extreme vigilance, care, and suspicion, because, it is in the very nature of centralized power to sink towards destabilization and disaster.
The American dynamic was meant to be different. For the first time in history, a group of people organized an administrative body which was predicated upon the will of the general populace and not the will of the incorporated elite. The Constitution was the first legal document designed to LIMIT the power of government, not endlessly exonerate it. Though many in our modern age have become completely ignorant of its original intent, the Constitution and its written protections allowed for the first decentralized government of the Western world, if not the entire world. A government which was specifically tasked with shielding the rights of the individual beyond the desires of the mindless “majority”, or the normally influential aristocracy.
Obviously, we have strayed far and away beyond the schematics set forth by the founding fathers.
Let us finally be honest with ourselves and say it out loud; our government is not Constitutional! It has become a mutation. A monstrosity. A malformed creature given birth by the oozing genetic material of mad social scientists hell bent on dominating the building blocks of our political life. It is a thing to be abhorred, not admired, and certainly not to be trusted.
The statement above may be confusing to those who have relegated their concerns to the immediate. If one is free to walk about the streets, keep a job, have a drink, and settle in front of his television for hours on end, then what is there to be worried about? If he is not directly affected by the ill notions of men in far off banks and capitols, then why care at all? If the pain of government criminality only strikes people from “other” cultures, or other walks of life, why be concerned? For those who actually suffer from this brand of idiocy, I can only relate the unwarranted role that our government has assumed within our society and hope that they begin to realize how extraordinarily unsafe they really are. The injustices visited upon the few are invariably visited upon the many in time, especially where a rogue government resides.
The kind of intrusion by government allowed by the American people today is utterly astounding. Bank records, medical records, political viewpoints, phone conversations, emails, child rearing practices, food eating habits, health pursuits, social networking habits, biometric data, travel; nothing is safe from the prying eyes of government anymore.
At what point did we as a nation decide that the government’s opinion of the domestic ideal should become the precedent? At what point did we decide that a faceless bureaucracy knows better than we do what is best for us? When did our lives become an open book to be read at the government’s leisure?
I say “we decided”, because we must bear a large part of the blame. From the institution of the Patriot Acts, to the utilization of the FISA domestic spying bill, to the latest monitoring and cataloging by the DHS and the Federal Reserve of private internet activity, we have stood by and done little to nothing in response.
The argument put forth by establishment proponents has always been that the government’s task is to keep us safe. In order to do this, they say, there can be nowhere for “evil doers” to hide. Therefore, the privacy of every individual must be sacrificed for the greater good of the greater number. This argument is unabashed nonsense.
Governments do not keep people safe. Governments are historically predisposed to ending far more lives than they protect, especially when they have strayed from their original mandates. When a government goes rogue, or has been honed as a tool for control rather than defense, its directives lean towards self preservation, not the preservation of the public. That is to say, the government and those who directly benefit from its manipulation set policies that ensure their own safety, and no one else’s.
Without a doubt, all the anti-4th Amendment legislation that has been passed over the course of last decade is focused not on some sinister force, foreign or domestic. Instead, it has been focused on average American citizens, because, whether we want to admit it or not, the government sees US as their greatest enemy.
There was a time when even I would have considered this view as a bit “extreme”. However, I would now have to point out the introduction of bills and executive orders like the John Warner Defense Authorization Act, which essentially erases Posse Comitatus and allows for Martial Law to be instituted with extreme prejudice under executive authority:

As well as the attempted passage of the Enemy Belligerents Act, which would allow for the capture, torture, and indefinite incarceration of American citizens as “enemy combatants:

And most recently, the National Defense Authorization Act, a defense spending action which is being used to coattail legislation which decimates all Constitutional checks and balances and leaves the door open for the government to declare any region they wish a “combat zone”. These provisions are just a rewritten combination of the Enemy Belligerents Act (both bills were fostered by the hand of John McCain) and the John Warner Defense Authorization Act, giving government free reign to designate any person, even an American citizen, as an enemy combatant. This means that anyone, including you, could one day be detained without Habeas Corpus, without fair trial, without due process, without legal representation, forever. Period.
You think rendition only occurs in Middle Eastern hellholes? Think again. With these bills and others like them, the American public is now fair game.
Rationalizations for the above actions abound. Some of the most common naïve positions include the following:
1) Assassinations Against Al Qaeda Agents, Even If They Are American Citizens, Is Justifiable
The nature of the target is irrelevant to the principle underlying the situation. I don’t care if Anwar al-Awlaki was an agent of Hades, the conscience of a country must take precedence over the short term threats that country faces. If a society is unable to maintain its conscience and its principles in the face of hardship, then perhaps that society is not worthy of survival. There are, indeed, many more important things than national security.
This is how all tyranny begins; with a small group or element of a culture singled out for the loss of human rights, while the rest of the people look on and cheer. Eventually, the exception to the rule becomes the rule, and everyone suffers. Under no circumstances should our government be allowed to rewrite Constitutional protections or our moral compass, even if it means giving so called “terrorists” fair treatment under the law. Never forget, the term “terrorist” is as arbitrary as any nowadays, and could be used against you as easily as it could be used against anyone else.
2) The Domestic Realm Is A Haven For “Homegrown Terrorists”
Again, “homegrown terrorism” is a highly arbitrary label. If one looks at statements and white papers coming from the Department Of Homeland Security, or the Department Of Justice, anyone from Constitutionalists, to Ron Paul supporters, to militia members, to barter networkers and sound money proponents, or anyone who even expresses an interest in any of these subjects, is considered a potential domestic terrorist threat.
Where is this headed? Think about it. If these types of people are already being categorized as extremists, what’s to stop the government form categorizing them as enemy combatants?
3) Rendition And Torture Could Save Lives
Okay. Let’s say for the sake of argument that rendition and torture actually could save some lives, though I have never heard of any of these Jack Bauer moments taking place in the real world. Let’s say my life and those I love could be spared. Frankly, I would rather die than be a party to behavior as reprehensible as kidnapping and torture. I couldn’t care less about the theoretical benefits of the activity. As stated earlier, a nation hanging by the poisonous framework of moral relativism is doomed to failure and decay. Despite the propaganda often spread by elitist elements without our government, our military, and our local law enforcement, you DO NOT need to become the monster in order to defeat the monster. This lie should not be allowed to stand…
4) You Are “Overreacting” To The Legislation, And Americans Will Not Be Targeted
Senator Lindsay Graham, a backer of the National Defense Authorization Act, specifically outlined the bill’s jurisdiction over American citizens and even admitted it makes the U.S. itself a “combat zone” under the international laws of war (while at the same time presenting the lie that Federal due process would somehow be enforced for those who are captured). We who oppose the bill could do a lot more without being rightfully accused of “overreaction”. If Americans are not to be targeted, then why create the bill in the first place? Traditional laws of war would be more than sufficient to handle foreign threats, and domestic response agencies like the FBI could easily continue doing whatever it is they supposedly do to safeguard our country. The ONLY reason to introduce a bill which frees the U.S. Government and the DHS to act militarily within the borders of our own nation would be to target U.S. citizens, and to undermine normal Constitutional processes.
The legislation is self-incriminating. Only a complete dullard would argue otherwise.
5) The Government Is A Body Elected By The People, Therefore They Are One And The Same
The only practical explanation I can think of for someone to actually believe this argument is overmedication. Despite what we’re all taught in middle school, our government as it exists today and has for many decades does not represent the will of the people. Two dominant political parties with cosmetic differences in rhetoric but nearly identical legislative platforms and voting records is not an expression of a legitimately free republic. The system revolves around corporate ideologies of globalization, not elections. Its beneficiaries are a limited and powerful fringe of society, not the masses. It is a rigged game. A fake battle between two gladiators owned by the same Caesar. To say that the people and the government are one-in-the-same is a gross error in judgment.
After researching and acknowledging the course our government has taken, the question then arises; what is the ultimate end result? Barring multiple miracles of a complete economic turnaround, full third party inclusion in our political structure, the deconstruction of the Federal Reserve, the decentralization of financial influence, the reintroduction of Constitutional insulation degraded since 2001, and the complete pullback of troops involved in ongoing wars in the Middle East, there can be only one outcome: total conflict.
We did not create this division. The American people did not ask to be targeted. Though we certainly have not done enough to fend off the numerous attacks upon our general liberties, the root of the problem still lay within the core of our government, the puppet leaders who abuse it, and the corporate elitists who use it as a staging ground for personal agendas. We have become two separate groups that cannot and will not be reconciled. The government is openly admitting this through legislation like the National Defense Authorization Act. Its time we did the same.
When two forces diametrically opposed exist upon the same ground at the same time with the same force of will, war erupts. A war of philosophies, a war of dissent, and sometimes, a war of weapons. As unsettling as that might sound, we must take solace in the fact that we at least fight for what is honest. If every American must conform to the twisted path our government has chosen, or be branded an ‘enemy combatant”, then may we all become domestic threats in our own backyard.

I have been downright horrified since the Patriot Act was passed. It “made legal” acts that our government has engaged in previously during war that were illegal.
During wartime, our nation has rounded up americans and put them into camps ( for example, Japanese americans during WWII) and then apologized to that group afterward- nevermind that their entire lives were destroyed because of it. After the war ended, they were released, and our government “apologized” for their behavior. This has happened to whatever group of people we happened to be in a war with -AND THEY WERE AMERICANS!!!!
So, beginning with the Patriot Act our rights have been nullified. No privacy (phone use, banking, meetings internet), no secretive behaviors of any kind, religious beliefs are suspect, preparing for emergencies is suspect (yes, personal responsibility is suspect), and the list goes on.
Trust the government?
I trust the government to try to steal my hard-earned money, erode and eventually decimate my rights as set forth by the creator, and lie through its forked tongue.

The 80 congressman sent to Washington by the “Tea Party” and the Republicans in 2010 are far from perfect, but they are an improvement. They have done what I wanted in some cases not in others, but you can hardly except to right this ship in one cycle. They need senators who will back them up and hopefully we can get them 5 or 10 of those in Nov.12 and a president that will give consideration to their agenda instead of just more government, more taxes, and fewer rights.

Your assertion that we could return to an honest, constitutional government by the ballot is true however it could only happen if massive numbers of the electorate agreed and got involved. Unfortunately that unanimity would only be possible with agreement of what the facts are and right now there are far too many that are completely convinced that their version of the facts are correct and everyone else is a brainwashed sheeple. Is the US Government a Republic directed by elected legislators and an elected executive? Or is it a foreign owned corporation over which no person outside of some Jewish banker has control? Since most states have laws against paramilitary training many willing patriots are not sure how to proceed quickly. The patriot militia will need military leaders to organize and train quickly(most likely in the field) so that like the early militia we dont run at the first volley. No, no! No dumping of your SSN. You use it when you need it, don’t use it when you don’t. You contracted to get it. Besides, its their number and they can give it to whoever signs.
The number is yours to use as you see fit, or not. You don’t always have to use it. It can be proven that you have an SSN and that you don’t have an SSN, at the same time.
There is a number assigned to you, however, your SS Card is not yours (says so right on the card). So, if the card is not yours then then number is not “yours” either. You don’t own the number, it is assigned to you, however, it is owned by the SSA. So, technically, it is not your but because it is assigned to you, it is “yours”. Its very simple and very flexible. If you want to use it, use it. Get benefits. Identify yourself. Get a job and pay taxes, etc. If you don’t want to use it you can, lawfully avoid taxes, avoid being a party to acts, codes and statutes. All legal, lawful and moral.
Some will argue that it is not, however, The Law and every maxim within it, defined, says it is.

I do wish I could find a way to have a voice! I do understand where the real problems are being generated from, and what the real solutions are! Although they are not easy, in the end, the problems are so deep, so systemic, and so pervasive, the solutions must also be equal in magnitude, and decisive in execution, or the “infection” returns with a vengence.

Yes,…Honor!,… above all else.
In the end, it should NOT have mattered what the International Banksters wanted, how much money they had, how much they were willing to offer to see their covert designs get carried out.
In the end, IF,…if our Elected Representatives, Appointed Officials, and Employees of our government had discharged their duties with complete self-lessness, and performed their primary task of protecting the US Government and its peoples from the scourge of corruption, we would NOT be facing the complete tyrannical usurpation we are now in our most desperate hour with!
The Constitution as designed by our Founding Fathers, is an incredible system of government, designed around the fundamental premise that, “Government exist to protect the sovereign rights of the individual”, NOT what this criminal gov’t has distorted it to be, which is, “People Exist To Serve The Government”.
Although the Constitution was designed with checks and balances to stem the excess of any single branch of government, it had one serious flaw, an Achilles-Heel which has now permitted its complete subversion to occur;….it REQUIRED men of HONOR and SELF-LESS Dedication to serve it!
In other words, our Founding Fathers, for all their brilliance, forgot one aspect of human nature,… greed,….the wanton disregard of duty when replaced by avarice and the notion of self-importance in the hearts of men.
This is EXACTLY the psychological weakness that was exploited by the International Banksters, the Federal Reserve, and later the IMF and World Bank.
They simply bought-off our own politicians to have them destroy our cherished bases of Constitutional Protections from within!; How perverse and insidious is that?

I have considered starting an organization,.. something like “Continential Patriots”, “Constitutional Guardians” or something like that.
Problem: In my locations (central NJ – Old Bridge Township), I just haven’t found many people interested.
When I do find someone interested, it’s always over the internet, and they live somewhere in Texas, or California, or something like that.
Once I had a strong base here with a running office, than it becomes a fairly simple matter to get branches going in other states, but it has to start locally for me so I can properly organize, draw up organization plans, devise startegies/tactics, develop eductional info, and most importantly, get an internet videocast going, but that all takes time, money, skills, and at least a few dozen dedicated people.
It also unfortunately starts with money.

This really sums up what I have been thinking for some time now. This government has been well outside the constitution for some time now. Whether you look at the Fed…..the use of the Interstate Commerce Act…..or the Patriot Act……it is the law of 1000 slices. It has been slow & over many years. Like a lot of you I went to school in the 60’s, when they still taught US History, & The Constitution , The Bill of Rights, and all theAmendmentss. The problem is that most of the stuff we learned has beensupersededd by legislation & Executive orders, that means that all of the knowledge is not relevant in the currenttheatere ! At least…not until we slay the beast & go back to Constitutional Rule of Law. Hopefully the day is coming soon….as otherwise all is lost.

Actually Brent, people had the choice to vote for Ron Paul back when he ran on the Libitarian ticket in the 80’s. I know I voted for him then. I explained in another discussion that the vote you cast on election day is a poll, like a survey. The electoral college decides who will become POTUS, and they have voted against the “popular vote” at some times in the past. Don’t take my word for it, look it up.
Frankly, I think the BS we see about the numbers coming in on election day come from a computer generated algorithm and it is all a sham anyway.

I disagree – they didn’t deliberately choose “evil”, they chose bread and circuses. Legislative candidates routinely campaign on how well they have brought federal largess home to their constituents, and those are the ones routinely (re)elected.
Actually, Ron Paul won the latest straw poll in Iowa with 85% and finished 200 votes behind Bachman who is now history. Don’t worry, the only way Ron Paul won’t win the Iowa Caucus is if Obama assasinates him. It’s the economy colapsing before the elections that worry me most, with Obama suspending elections and instituting martial law.

I couldn’t access that particular article because it is behind a paywall, but yes, with some of the ways this site excerpts content (though we always cite the originals via hyperlinks) there could be an issue if legislation like that is passed. My guess is that what will happen is that Alt News Sites will simply stop excerpting mainstream media and will take the extra time to simply write the story in full, avoiding any copyright issues. Simple work-around. And it will have even more of a negative impact on mainstream media because they will lose millions of viewers who access their sites by the links that alt news bloggers and aggregators send to them.
My view is that Print Media and their parent companies are desperately trying to hold on to the news paradigms of the 20th century.

A slight correction: Government exists either by the consent of the governed (the way it used to by in the US) or by superior strength and the ability to coerce (the way it is now). When the latter form takes hold only the ability and will to resist with force makes it possible for the citizenry to take back the power that perhaps once they gave away freely.

Evil sure enough is the reason. There is no doubt. It would seem the majority of people over the past 50 years around about always chose the wrong path and for the wrong reasons. Total desire for ungodliness, power, greed, all sorts of sin they love dearly. And they want more evil at any cost.
They use the name of God but then they serve Satan, and they deny God to serve even more evil purposes. Every evil direction they wish to take they do and therefore change like chameleons at every turn to keep people confused. Again more evil.
It is extremely apparent that these people always do there best to not only keep it this way, but they love evil so very much that they care not for there own lives, or the lives of their family, or even friends. Even their own souls also mean nothing to them.

I sat next to a old couple from the east coast sometime ago. They were excited about their trip of a lifetime and all the wonderful things they were going to visit and do. I was fine with that, until the wife said that she felt so much safer because TSA was there.
I leaned over and ask her “I bet the jews felt safe when they were loaded into boxcars and relocated.”. She had no more comments for rest of the flight and I was able to get a nap in.

The corruption began when candidates were/are nominated by parties and not independent groups. Limited terms in office and small pay became political careers with power far outstripping compensation. The Republic governed by law and not by “majority rule” disolved into government which is autonimous and sanctioned by voters who are invited to choose betweeen the “lesser of two evils.”
It was a great essay on what we all face today.
There is a complication you have failed to note that might give an answer to some of your questions.
When the USA was founded, all governments except for a very few small principalities, like Switzerland and three on the Riveira, were divine right kingdoms, headed by men crowned by politicos and religion. We were the first in 2000 years to just go with politicos, since we were Men and they were Men, we assumed there was a natural connection, that mutual interest would confirm.
That is what our Constitution was about. Men coming together to take care of men, women were their natural appendages.
It was simplistic idea. It assumed all men would work for mutual advance. This was a radical idea because history to the date of our founding had displayed a far different modus…POWER.
What made the USA different is that we were far removed fron the old society, its politics, No Kings and Barons, Lords or Princes. We were in the wilderness and so had a chance at a new start.
What propelled us to set our destiny at Freedom, Liberty?
This question has never been settled. Why were we so fixed on these two “rights”?
The civilized world, the old world, had settled the problems in their realms early. Either you were a settler, builder or you were not. If you thought to live on others labor, you had only two choices…charity when you went into the Church or Temple to do the creator’s work or you went into the military where you defended those who kept society together from “enemies”.
Those enemies were “outsiders”, They could be people from another town, tribe, province or country with all the telltale signs of the outsider. But they were not the only enemies. You had people amongst you who took advantage of good citizens, sought to lure them with interests beyond their normal work. These the state called criminals. They appealed to the dark side of man’s dual personality. Whereas Man should be Good, they lured him into Evil, ergo they were “beyond the pale”.
The three working elements of government…the organization, the church and the military, established to do the will of the Good People, were deemed strong enough to keep the others in their place. It worked most of the time but there were glaring lapses like the Borgias and any invading forces that gained ground until they were expelled.
In the USA, we had worked through that initial preparation, fighting off the Indians and the French, the Spanish and then the Dutch, and finally we had our nation!
However, we had a very large “Evil” population simply because we were so far away from the other established nations that no force could come after them. Worse, England even encouraged the worst to settle here, especially in the South. They were natural slave masters in that they not only captured people to sell, they even manned the ships to transport them. They had a great international network even then to clear monies paid in this endeavor from which they established the first “banks” to invest those proceeds in the new world!
This is what made the USA successful! When Ben Franklin, the Adams and the host of “emissaries” to the Royal Courts of Europe appeared in those assemblages, they were heard because they had this cash! They were a new force to be considered and the Old World was in a quandry but then the Americas were so far away! Better to have the bad boys over there than in Europe et al!
Freedom and Liberty were coined as slogans to give legitimacy to freebooters, pirates, slavers, men and women running from responsibilities gone wrong. the leaders in the early colonies were defrocked ministers, priests,”cabin boys”, reprobate sons of the aristocracy and outright criminals…predators, murderers, thieves and “debtors”, all sinners. Mankind had suffered the arrows and slings of fate long enough in the Old World and it was time to give everyone a new start in the colonies! Our reps to the old world consoled that we had established a nation devoted to the “rule of law”, and so everyone had a new life! That was what made us so popular!
Fastforward to the 20th Century. America had been through crucible after crucible, battles witn Indians, other settlers, Immigration from all over, Civil War, more Immigration and we were a real polyglot… a monstrous one. We had one great thing going for us…We proclaimed we had eliminated slavery!
Our leaders seized on this great achievement and announced to the rest of the world, we would support movements everywhere to make Men Men. With this slogan, we embarked on Empire! We declared the Americas ours and then proceeded to take whatever we could find for the easy pickings…islands in the Caribbean and in the Pacific and in the Arctic and Antarctic and then we looked at South America. The Empire broke down with that one!
While Washington was captivated with this new mission, the states and cities, some towns found themselves in a new quandry. Legitimate life was not bad but it barely paid enough for people to enjoy but there was that fringe…the illegits and somehow they sold their wares and lots of it and they had cash. They didn’t pay taxes, they were illegal!Suddenly, state and municipal leaders were playing with the cash boys and it was working well. Think Twill, Tamany,Pendergast the host of Daleys, Curleys, Fitzpatricks, every region had them… the Bosses who filled the media from the 1800’s on! In time, they had reps in Washington, DC! Money can buy anything…it is free and has the liberty!
We have been through two great world wars on the winning side. After each one, our freebooters got to know their old connections in Europe, the Mid east and Asia. Oh they were out there too…Australia, like the USA, had its penal groups too. But the American group had a great advantage. Freedom and Liberty had improved Man’s innovation, imagination and we had taken all those idea to their fulfillment.. It was our radio, our movies, our glossy mags, our news wire services that carried news around the world and it was mostly American! What we did, how we lived became the bellweather for the world. None of the old societies could counter us!
The first victim to the Roaring Twenties were the churches. The Capones and Bronfmans fueled those days with not only “spirits” but also “license” to do what ever was feeling good and even the worst of actions has someone feeling good! The cash came in faster and the “syndicates” had more of it than the government!
The Government tried taking it with the FBI, hauling the mobsters before Congress but WWII ended that. When we entered that fray between the old “divine right” and the fascist communist gangsters in Europe, the boys in Washington were already in two camps….those with the old world and those determined to continue the new.
Those that have the cash win! The US used the mobsters, the gangsters here to improve our military logistics in Europe and elsewhere and our “boys in the hood” got to renew acquaintance with their counterparts “over there”.
That liason has grown, especially as the mobsters sent their children to the best schools here and abroad and entered government on all levels.
The New World Order now in existence is a working organization that proved itself over the last 500 years. It was a loose association of freebooters some called the Nostra Cosa, Mafia, Syndicata but they all had one interest…making money from what is forbidden…and they make more from that than any from the bidden. After World War II, there wasn’t a “legal” functioning country in the world other than the USA and people in Europe, the Middle East, Asia, et al used whatever “money” they had to facilitate buying what they had to have! Where do we go from here? Well, the gangsters now called banksters will be having multitudinous conferences with great panoply while they carve up the world into fiefdoms. You’d best reread your history books. You’ve misunderstood the genesis of America and recite it as you would like it to have been. Your heart is in the right place and some of your conclusions are correct but that golden past you write of never existed. On the other hand, the criminal class that controls America today is unlike any that has ever existed. I have a suggestion: Go to the range this weekend and shoot a couple hundred rounds in your favorite caliber. Also, take a friend that isn’t a gun owner, but has expressed some interest in it. Educate him/her. Talk to them about the future, and how uncertain everything is. Wonder aloud whether or not people should do anything to prepare. Don’t reveal your preps. Just bring up the subject and muse a bit. It’s a win-win. If they’ve already prepared, you might find yourself an ally. If they haven’t prepared, well, you’re helping them to get prepared, meaning one less hungry person to face later.

The National Defense Authorization Bill language that includes Americans snatched by U.S. military on U.S. soil or abroad based on an executive Presidential decision bomb needs to be spread further, it will be moreso over the weekend but it’s not being disseminated fast enough by a corrupt lamestream hack propaganda ministry media. It is that inconsistency, that illusion that is at the root of practically all human suffering.
It seems that throughout practically all written human history there has been a struggle to tame or control the leviathan. There is hardly a person in all that time who has not had an opinion — self serving or otherwise — as to how it could or should be done.

The point of the article is to shed light on the root of the problem; elitist manipulation of a system originally intended for honest protection of the public. This problem is not as obvious to most Americans as you seem to think it is.
Your response is highly naive and poorly thought out. The answers are far more complex than simply “declaring war”. Only someone with the mind of a stunted child jumps to such conclusions as haphazardly as you do. There are complexities that need to be addressed, and more people that need to be educated. I can’t tell you how many morons I have heard lament that we simply need to “pull out the guns” and formally announce a rebellion. That’s not how it works. All gov’ts are rogues at the heart of it. They are because they can be. They exist and survive because of false assumptions. The US constitutional gov’t did not become infected with a virus at some point in its history. IT IS THE VIRUS. Yes, there may have been a tipping point when, on balance, it oppressed rather than protected. But the seeds of corruption were there, Day One.
My ancestors were both Cherokee and Lakota Sioux. I can tell you, there is nothing new going on. It is just that the stakes are higher.
Now, it seems to me we have two choices henceforth: 1) we can continue to make the assumption (It is an assumption because nothing in history supports it) that we can somehow under some system of fighting fire with fire, so to speak, tame or control the “Rogue”. Or, 2) we can come to realize that as humans our nature is not flawed (as practically every institution on the face of the planet would suggest) and that we can, using the only nature we have, find a way to organize ourselves prosperously and peaceably without the use of force or fraud.
It is our system that corrupts, not the intentions of men. The intentions that lead to destruction are the effect, not the cause. This is not about blame. Our system is based on some false assumptions. These are the unintentional cause. False assumptions lead to bad conclusions and unintended consequences and actions. Government itself is based on some false and even conflicting assumptions. And, I think, we can see empirically that all systems based on the use of the initiation force, reinforce their own false assumptions — as the system would change if the assumptions change. If, of course, the false assumptions do not change, the system will self destruct.
Nature always wins. Maybe with your help we’ll get it right.
All of you advocating the use of guns: forget it. You’re hopelessly outmatched. Physical threats to the government will be met with overwhelming force, meaning death and serious injury to you, your friends and family. There’s only one possible answer to this (or any) government that’s gone rogue: starve the beast. Yes, it means going to jail for those who don’t provide a portion of their food to provide the beast with what it needs, but it’s the only way. But once this idea takes hold and enough do stop feeding, it will die. It only survives on the fear of incarceration by it’s feeders. I agree with the overall premise of your position. I threw off the shackles of organized religious “brainwashing” many years ago. That being said, no converts to either side of the argument will be gained on this site and commentary format. I will still argue politics, but arguing religion is a “fart in the wind”. Both sides get the others “stench”, but it rapidly, and unproductively fades with the prevailing winds of each side of the argument.
Besides, a plethra of “religious oriented sites” offer ample opportunity for debate and scriptural “cherry-picking”. My 2 cents.

Also, a good number of medieval and renaissance cities had charters which limited the power that governments had over their affairs.

I am an ex-ARMY stud that has grown soft and tollerant over the last 20 years. Ah! I see that it is up on the page, even though awaiting “moderation”. I will assume that I pass that test.
So, where are we? I’ve been sitting here reading this whole thing, I’ve even emailed usmarine888, and I’ve been a’thinking real hard. And I think that the Answer to our problem combines elements of several thoughtful posters.
There is of course the “Violent, Armed Revolution” faction. And then there is the “Do It Lawfully” faction, incl. those who still believe we have honest elections. There is the “Sheriff Is King” faction (small but I like it). Then there are those good souls who believe that Jesus is going to rescue us. And lastly the “Philosophical Anarchists”. All have some useful approaches/thoughts/ways-and-means.
Now, here’s what I’ve worked out so far.
1) We need ORGANIZATION. We can’t do this by our own selves separately.
2) What kind of Organization is next question.
3) I suggest that it has to be a legitimate organization with some legal validity to it. The Powers-That-Be operate that way. They don’t just come out and say that thy are going to enslave everyone whether we like it or not. They enslave us through their version of “due process”.
4) Now, what size of organization can we profitably begin with and use? It has to be big enough to take on at least a part of the Establishment in a realistic fashion.
5) What we need is something legal the size of a State. Something that can show the way for the others. The mainstream media can ignore or if necessary smear and tar “a bunch of guys with guns or _______ fill in the blank. But it can’t ignore a whole State saying to the Federals “We don’t like this and so we are no longer participating.
This is kind of the nullification argument. But how to get any State to do this? And soon enough? That’s where my ideas stall out. I don’t have enough knowledge to go further. But I do like the idea of at last starting with Country Sheriffs. And rally around those. Afterall they are legally elected representatives of US. At the most basic and small, local governmental unit.
Problem is that this is going to take time and I don’t know/think we have very much time left. Things look pretty dire right now with this latest outlandish law the Senate of the United States voted FOR 93-7. Just unreal.

To US Marine: I appreciate your candor and your efforts. You speak of honor and you obviously speak with honor. I agree with you completely with a few additions from my own personal experience.
We do not need much organization to effect a correction. As a matter of fact the less organization the better in most situations. If more that 10 or 12 people gather at least one is a Federal Agent of some kind. It is my observation that all wars are fought by men that would rather be somewhere else, but always by disposable men, never by the directors of the war. We have several advantages over the Banksters. We are so many. They are so few. The disposable people the Banksters have purchased and sent to do their bidding, are very high profile opportune targets. They consist mostly of Cops, and lawyers. Our streets are populated with cops and our courts are populates with lawyers. They feed on human misery and where they can’t find it they create it. These bottom feeders know they are outside the law and are very afraid of anyone that speaks of the law. They can be intimidated very easily. A few good men can hold off a very large number of them in a fight in any forum. One good sniper can strike fear into the hearts and minds of all of them. They know they are vulnerable.
Most of them have an oath of office to uphold the Constitution of the United States, but I have yet to find one that has read it.
In your comment you spoke of both duty and honor. Hopefully you did not mean to imply they are synonoymous. Duty is an undertaking to some end. It has been my observation that everyone executes their duty to the full extent of their personal intrgrity. The oath of office imposes a duty. It is a contract. If the one taking the oath has no personal integrity or he has sold it for a pay-check, he is your enemy.
Honor, on the other hand is the value a person places on his own personal integrity or his commitment to duty. Veterans have taken an oath to protect the Constitution. I would call on them all to remember that oath and renew it and committ them selves to its execution. We are so many. They are so few, and we have the law.

People there is only one solution which can be implimented by you, the people of this country to change the federal governmental controls over your lives. You need a powerful origanization which you can influence. It is obvious that we the people cannot influence this current federal government. Its like trying to stop a runaway truck going downhill, with brakes designed for a car. It can’t be done, however, you can get the state government to oppose any law, rule, regulation, or policy that the federal government passes which violates the constitution. Tell them what you think , why you need their help to change the course of this country. Central government is out of control .The state governments are the only origanized force powerful enough to oppose the central government. MAke them your sword of justice and restore the great power of the constitution. and say no to any law which violates the constitution, So, if you want to redirect the destructive force , of the central governement , tell your state representatives, governors and state courts that you want your constutuional rights perserved against all agencies who try to violate your rights. Lets see how the federal government deals with ALL the states who say NO, NO MORE. This will not happen in my state.
Now, lets say that YOUR STATE REFUSES to listen to your needs and respect the constitution, what answer does that send to you the citizen of this country? Think about it.
Then you will finally have the answer, you will know exactly where you the people stand, hopefully it is not on quicksand, but on solid foundation supported by your state.
Only one real way to find out. ask your state for help. Follow the example of Vermont and Some of the towns and cities in Maine. Read and become educated.. I am almost 70 and I tell all you young people out there, this country is yours, but you have to fight for it. Get your state to support your efforts, don’t be part of the PROBLEM, be the SOLUTION.
I am the oldest survivor of the first Special Forces, founded just before and during the Korean War. I feel extreme angst knowing that the country I see today is not the country my men died for. I am a 100% DAV from that war, and have witnessed the charade of the VA taking care of veterans, so that I seek care elsewhere. Too, I witness our country’s leader/politicians putting forth bills pointed at Amerikcan citizens as terrorists, when in fact they have become Godlike in their own mind, and should be put away. I see my country’s leaders feeling they have the right to murder anyone without due process, simp;y by implication, without proof, stripping the accused of habaeus corpus. I am old and depend upon others for my care who give of themselves beyond my asking, and that makes me feel so very humble for their efforts. They like other Americans are good people, but they are young and know not, another way our country thrived under freedom and rights for the individual. They accept that which I outrightly reject, and do not understand my anger over the changes, past present and destined in the future. Sadly, except for my words I can no longer fight for this country, but if it happened, a rebellion against Washington DC, I would gladly be at the front to carry out Thomas Jefferson’s advice, that is; the citizens should march of government every six years, take everyone representing the people and their aides from their office.
