Watch: This Is What Happens When the Good Guy Has a Gun

As anti-gun lawmakers the country over work towards achieving a Utopic society without the Second Amendment, the fact is that those who would do harm to innocent people will not go away. Not only will they never give up their guns should they become illegal, but they’ll happily commit their crimes with knives, blunt weapons or even cars if that’s what it takes to get what they want.

The great equalizer since its invention in the 14th century has been the gun and as shown in the video report below, it still is.

A Houston, Texas woman was recently leaving a retail store with her children when she was jumped by two individuals who intended to snatch her purse. They dragged her with their vehicle and were just about to get away.

But before they had a chance to flee the Concealed/Carry version of a Good Samaritan stepped in to save the day.

This is what happens when the good guy has a gun and takes a stand against crime.

A man in another car nearby heard the screams, pulled out his pistol and rushed to the victim’s aid. He stopped the would-be robbers, holding them at gunpoint until the police arrived.

Police identified the suspects as Shamarion Daina Brooks, 34, and 48-year-old Jesse Leroy Grace. They were both taken into custody and charged with robbery by threat, police said. Police said Brooks also was charged with possession of a controlled substance while Grace was also charged with driving a stolen vehicle. (Chron)

Video provided by Black & Right via Steve Quayle:

The six bystanders shot at a FedEx facility in Georgia on Tuesday weren’t lucky enough to have an equalizer on hand.

In Kennesaw, where the shooting occurred, the town has a an ordinance stipulating the mandatory ownership of guns for every household in the city. This prompted New York Times writer Timothy Noah to suggest that the debate over gun ownership should be renewed.

There’s a sad twist to the shooting Tuesday morning at a FedEx facility in Kennesaw, Ga., where an employee injured six co-workers before turning the gun on himself. Kennesaw is one of several U.S. cities and towns that have an ordinance requiring every household to own a gun.

What’s most amusing about Noah’s attempt to highlight the fact that every household in Kennesaw has a gun, yet the FedEx shooter still managed to wound six people, is the picture included in the article.

    Can you spot the problem?

    kennesaw

Here is a zoom on the relevant portion, in case you missed it:

    kennesaw-no-guns

There is not one, but two signs warning potential FedEx customers that firearms were prohibited on the premises.

And where did the teenage shooter go when he decided to open fire on a bunch of people? The question is rhetorical, but follows the same sequence of events as the Virginia Tech, Sandy Hook and Aurora, Colorado shootings.

How would the events at these locations have played out had the signs looked more like one of these?

      1. This is my rifle. There are many like it, but this one is mine.My rifle is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.My rifle, without me, is useless. Without my rifle, I am useless. I must fire my rifle true. I must shoot straighter than my enemy who is trying to kill me. I must shoot him before he shoots me. I will…My rifle and I know that what counts in this war is not the rounds we fire, the noise of our burst, nor the smoke we make. We know that it is the hits that count. We will hit…My rifle is human, even as I, because it is my life. Thus, I will learn it as a brother. I will learn its weaknesses, its strength, its parts, its accessories, its sights and its barrel. I will keep my rifle clean and ready, even as I am clean and ready. We will become part of each other. We will…Before God, I swear this creed. My rifle and I are the defenders of my country. We are the masters of our enemy. We are the saviors of my life.So be it, until victory is America’s and there is no enemy, but peace!

        • Have gun, will travel
          should be changed to:
          unafraid to travel,
          have my own gun.

          • I wonder if the guy will get any flack from the police union for doing “their” job without being union “”certified.” Like the military firefighters in California years ago.

            🙂

            • The problem here is that the good guy pushed face down on the ground while police pointed gun at him. That sucks!

          • America’s about to go ‘Wild West’ everywhere.

It can’t come too soon for me!!!!!!!!!!!

              • An article like this sure can make a terrible day a lot better. There are so many good guys and good women with guns that will save even an ignorant anti-gunner’s life from a criminal or a terrorist. This is something that the stupid anti-gunner can’t figure out, that the odds are far better that a good guy is going to save their moronic ass from some maniac than most fatal accidents. I guess those that hate firearms truly show there is no boundary just how retarded someone can become.

              • You must own a lot of hardware, Sarge.

              • Boy, they didn’t leave you any slack, did they? No wonder women weren’t allowed in combat training! ( wish it were still like that…)

          • @Hunter
I had the distinct privilege (torture?)of being employed in the Cdn. military in the combat arms trade before and after the cdn charter of rights was passed into law and if ANYBODY ever made the mistake of calling their rifle a gun before it was enacted were usually dealt with swiftly (and painfully), you never made that mistake twice. Old school, the way it will be again. I’ve got a few “close friends” kicking around when I need them.

      2. This is great they finally put a person with a gun taking action to stop a crime on TV.
As a Cop I want to PRAISE this man for doing what was right.

That good citizen was lucky he was not in N.Y.C.
He might have had to turn a blind eye to the purse snatching. The lady victim might have been hurt or killed. The good citizen would have to go thru life thinking he should have done something to help. The purse snatcher would be off and on to his next unarmed victim. Thinking to himself ” I love this F-en Amerika -All in a day’s work.”
          — Miss Dee Dee

          • @Miss Dee

NYC would have told that lady she needed to pee on her attacker and arrested the CCW hero.

            • Miss DeeDee and Indy Colts, if the feds get involved in the case, they would charge the CCW holder with a “hate crime” or “violation of civil tights” since the 2 perps are black males. Remember, black males get special treatment from the federal government because they belong to a “minority group”. They are a “protected group” under federal civil rights law.

              • Wasn’t the good samaritan black also?

      3. The local news side story was with a witness who stated that the dude with the brown shirt and green shorts was hassling the good samaritan to let the robbers go. Apparently, he was pulling the typical libtard BS about whatever was in the purse was not worth a human life blah blah blah. If you look at the video, he does seem quite agitated that a gun was used to save the day, the look on his face was of discust. F’ him!

        • I’d probably told the guy to leave, or he would be on the ground next to them

          • He would have ended up on the ground for impeding a civil arrest.

        • He needs to be charged with hindering an arrest or some such thing.

          • Too bad stupidity isn’t an actionable crime…

      4. Remember it is not the gun that kills, it is that piece of lead that comes out…

        • Ms. Dee Dee, this is one for your brother, and all of us here…

In honor of the 44th President of the United States , Baskin-Robbins Ice Cream has introduced a new flavor: ” Barocky Road ”

Barocky Road is a blend of half vanilla, half chocolate, and surrounded by nuts and flakes. The vanilla portion of the mix is not openly advertised and usually denied as an ingredient. The nuts and flakes are all very bitter and hard to swallow.

The cost is $82.84 per scoop….so out of a hundred dollar bill you are at least promised some CHANGE..!

When purchased it will be presented to you in a large beautiful cone, but after you pay for it, the ice cream is taken away and given to the person in line behind you at no charge.

You are left with an empty wallet, holding an empty cone with no hope of getting any ice cream. Are you stimulated?

          • Eppe,
You are a wise man with a unique sense of humor. You are one of the many reasons I return to this site on a regular schedual.

            • Thanks, I wish I had the wisdom of King Solomon, at least someone could be able to run this country right, like I have said before, “we need to clean up our own backyard, before we clean up in others backyard”…

              • Are you sure about that? King Solomon ended up consulting witches, and as result ended up crazy, eating grass with the cattle….

                • Mike, you may want to rethink that one, it was King Neb.
But since we are only reading what someone wrote centuries ago, I always wonder what really was and was not…

                  Daniel 4:28-37 (NIV)

                  The Dream Is Fulfilled
28 All this happened to King Nebuchadnezzar. 29 Twelve months later, as the king was walking on the roof of the royal palace of Babylon, 30 he said, “Is not this the great Babylon I have built as the royal residence, by my mighty power and for the glory of my majesty?” 31 The words were still on his lips when a voice came from heaven, “This is what is decreed for you, King Nebuchadnezzar: Your royal authority has been taken from you. 32 You will be driven away from people and will live with the wild animals; you will eat grass like cattle. Seven times will pass by for you until you acknowledge that the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men and gives them to anyone he wishes.” 33 Immediately what had been said about Nebuchadnezzar was fulfilled. He was driven away from people and ate grass like cattle. His body was drenched with the dew of heaven until his hair grew like the feathers of an eagle and his nails like the claws of a bird. 34 At the end of that time, I, Nebuchadnezzar, raised my eyes toward heaven, and my sanity was restored. Then I praised the Most High; I honored and glorified him who lives forever. His dominion is an eternal dominion; his kingdom endures from generation to generation. 35 All the peoples of the earth are regarded as nothing. He does as he pleases with the powers of heaven and the peoples of the earth. No one can hold back his hand or say to him: “What have you done?” 36 At the same time that my sanity was restored, my honor and splendor were returned to me for the glory of my kingdom. My advisers and nobles sought me out, and I was restored to my throne and became even greater than before. 37 Now I, Nebuchadnezzar, praise and exalt and glorify the King of heaven, because everything he does is right and all his ways are just. And those who walk in pride he is able to humble.

I have read the Bible quite a few times over the years, it is one thing I know about, at least as much as we have been given to read.
Can you answer me this? Why were the other books not included in the Bible put together in 325AD by Constitine? Like the book of Thomas? Or Mary Magadeline?
Instead of some of the Judges books that repeat themselves over and over? Or the Macabees?
If you can give me a good answer, I will listen, but till then, do your due diligence in researching these and get back with me…
Not being disrespectful, I want to know the true truth also, but no one can answer me on some of these questions yet, and I have asked for years, to quite a few people…

                  • Eppe, not sure if you just wanted an answer from Mike or from anyone, but here is the truth. I visit this site occasionally and have never post a comments, but your question has compelled me to post. The answer to ALL questions are contained in the four Gospels of Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John. I was told this by a passerby stranger in a parking lot about 6-years into my concentrated effort to discover the truth about what is really going on. My continued research revealed that the stranger was correct and, in addition, that the solutions to ALL problems are contained in the Gospels. The bottom line is that the rest of what was included tends to complicate, confuse, and distract from the simple truth in the Gospels. I would suspect that this comment will get enough thumbs down to disappear since most would consider this comment blasphemy. When Jesus was telling the truth in the Gospels, they said the same about him so I do not mind.

          • Eppe, I just choked on another snack I was having. You get higher ratings than SNL from me anytime. Keep them coming.

            • why, didn’t oath keepers file legal action on Pres Obama for usurping the presidency of the united states…his phony id’s, hidden past, his illegal writing of our laws(supposed, as i believe they are null and void), his massive unconstitutional acts, and that the Oath Keepers…were first, to uphold the U.S. Const….and you know what? I didn’t even get a peep from them…..
And this outfit is supposed to organize in every state and be anyone’s fighter come the us gov gets after us all?

words dont mean shit! its all in what you do, how you act and what you stand for or wont stand for

                • The 501c3 goon squad. When the money stops, the Generals and the Corporals deserters . You see, those motor coaches and hotel rooms equipped with saunas cost money. Those steak dinners cost money, the booze cost money. Gambling cost money.

This time around $40,000 came rolling in, only $12,500 of it went to the Bundy’s. where the hell did the rest of the money go? The Militia gets the job done with peanuts and we get shit on.

do your own home work on the Oath breakers pal

          • STAY AWAY from THE O.K.s all they are after is $$$$ look at the number of illegal check points (no oath keepers stood up) police brutality gone wild again no oath keepers stood up against it so tell me again why you would give to an org.that does nothing but talk the talk but when its time to walk the talk they run away instead of twords sorry to burst your bubble on the ok but I was also one who fell for their bs!! NRA is walking the talk so JOIN AND TELL A FRIEND TO JOIN Bloomberg will out spend the NRA by millions this year the NRA needs everyones help ASAP!!

          • New Ordnance

Its all about political muscle when it comes to the Second Amendment and all the pro gun groups combined cannot harness a fraction of the muscle that the NRA does.

            Its a fact.

            • too bad they are working against us with our money

Negotiating an inalienable right isnt the type of rights group i want negotiating AWAY my RIGHTS!

Where is it said that the 2nd amendment is negotiable?

I probably wont wake you up to the truth, from the way you typed that you sound convinced they are on your side..so showing you all the ways they are not..will just be a huge waste of my time and this boards

              • In bed with politicians..yeah thats who I want fucking around with my right to protect myself and my family with a gun
                no thanks

                • The Worlds largest Army is the American Hunter. 600,000 Deer Hunters in Wisconsin alone.

              • VRF, OUR RIGHTS ARE NEVER NEGOTIABLE. I WONDER WHAT PART OF THAT DOES NRA NOT UNDERSTAND?

            • Kevin2, you make a valid point about the NRA’s power and they use that power against us. they always compromise on the 2A. The other groups refuse to compromise. That’s why they don’t have a seat at the dinner table in the Beltway.

              • Dee Dee
Don’t listen to these guys, just join the NRA

              • They retreat when necessary and yet come back later. The 1994 assault gun ban with the 10 year clause put in was an example. They knew that at a later date the political environment would be different. It worked. “Shall Issue” in 43 States was no small achievement either.

The NRA has political muscle. It is THE grass roots political organization.

I’m a vet of NJs fight against Jim Florio in 1990/1991. You have no idea what I call the NRA CIA can do. Google “Hands Across NJ”.

        • Ill not give money to the NRA just so they can negotiate my god given second admendment right away.

          • Old guy, I’m right there with you. Our rights are NEVER negotiable.

        • Miss DeeDee, please don’t give a dime to NRA. They do NOT have gun owners’ best interests at heart. They always COMPROMISE on the 2A and negotiate away our rights. How else did anybody think they got a seat at the dinner table in the Beltway? Try Gun Owners Of America, Second Amendment Sisters, and Jews For The Preservation Of Firearms Ownership. Those groups are all TRUE champions of the 2A who DON’T compromise.

        • Miss Dee-Dee

PLEASE send your Greenspahn-Bernacke-Yellen script to “GUN OWNERS of AMERICA or Grass-roots North Carolina”…or some other worthy state/local org!!!!

The NRA is just after said $$$$….(they’re merely a business, ma’am)!

          *****Blessing to you/yours………………………….

I guess fox is national news. Did it air at 4 am?

            • I saw it around 1200 noon central time.
              Sgt.

        • In the state of Arkansas they have a concealed carry law. Also the law stated you may carry when you are upon a journey. also you can carry if the gun barrel is 10&1/2 inches. My Ruger Blackhawk has the long barrel. I carry it horizontal in a homemade holster shoulder harness that places the gun around my middle. Easily concealed under my bib overhalls. That beer gut is really a 44 magnum stuck between two padded squares of leather. Ive carried that gun so long the bluing is worn off it looks like chrome in the shiny places.

      7. You watch some P.O.S. anti Second Amendment attorney will try to sue this guy for Unlawful Restraint.

I was thinking about just that when I read this article yesterday, its one reason I believe our down fall is eminent. American society, government and laws have created a rule-ridden dehumanized population, they’ve eaten away at man’s nature to protect.
The military, LEO’s and any other alphabet agencies do not own the title of sheepdog, but it does appear that TPTB want a society of sheep

          • y99,

Your rifle post on top was excellent.

Live with it enough and you don’t have to think about it. Just another part of your body, always there, always ready. Nothing special.
Part of life and always faithful.

          • Not sheep you gotta take care of sheep. They want peons & serfs. Thats why the middle class is being replaced by the brown skinned folks south of the border. After the middle class is extinct they the vote and all other rights will be taken away from the serfs & peons.

      8. I love a story with a happy ending.

      9. Don’t be intimidated. Make them come and take it.

      10. Perfect….
        True story..
Few years back an elderly lady was pulled over by a trooper for a minor infraction…when asked for her license and registration the LEO noticed she was licensed to carry(on her drivers license)..
He politely asked her if she was carrying..

        She replied..
“Yes officer..I have a 45 in the glove compartment
A 9mm in the center console
and a 38 on my person”

He replied’ What in God’s name are you afraid of maam?”

        Her reply

        “Not a damned thing”

        enjoy the day

        possee

        • Sounds too good to be true never happened friggin made up story. The cop would likely demanded to see her weapon. In most places before a cop pulls you over they run a radio check on the License plates. In Arkansas the info tell,s who the vehicle is registered to. it also tells their driving record and if they have a concealed carry permit. Its likely the cop in addition to demand to see the weapon would have wrote her a ticket for whatever reason he stopped her for.

          • Do your really believe some elderly lady has three handguns stashed in her car? one handgun might be plausable but three is no way believable. its a good tale but to label it a True Story? Im not that gullible.

            • It was a joke. Sheesh.

              • Then why start out the 2nd & 3rd words True story?

                • All jokes are true, if it didn’t happen, it should have.

                • Unfortunately, the term “true story” has more in common these days with the terms “jumbo shrimp” and “military intelligence”.

True story: I call ’em like I see ’em. YMMV.

If someone comes to your front door saying they are checking for ticks due to the warm weather and asks you to take your clothes off and dance around with your arms up, DO NOT DO IT!! THIS IS A SCAM!! They only want to see you naked.

I wish I’d gotten this yesterday. I feel so stupid.

      11. I always carry a gun and I don’t have any friggin permit. However If Im someplace and someone is being robbed mugged assaulted ect. I wont lift a finger to help them. They will continue to be victimized. Im not the police and I don’t know all the facts. and I could be in plenty of trouble. I know a guy seen a guy beating the crap out of a female. He stepped in a opened a can of Whup Ass on the guy. Gave him a proper beating. The battered female thanked him profusely. He Got in his vehicle and left. Next day he as arrested and charged with assault. It seem,s the Bad dude was only disciplining his wife and the couple both pressed charges. That Good Deed and cost him over $5,000 in lawyer fees and still was convicted of a crime. If you are a victim its your responsibility to carry your own gun. Only if someone attack,s me and mine and as a last resort will I pull my gun. And If I ever pull it I will be cocking the hammer and pulling the trigger. If I ever feel the need to use deadly force I will try my best to make certain its deadly.

        • Old Guy,

Good point. Intervention in domestic disputes can be real dangerous. Both parties can turn on you in a flash.
Sgt. Dale could probably offer advice on this.

          • N.O.
You are correct, The worst thing I ever had to handle (meaning got crap kicked out of me) was a man kicking the crap out of his wife. When I pulled him off of her she started beating me with a frying pan. I had to pin him under my right knee over the back of his neck and I had to grab her by the hair and flip her over on to her face holding it down with my left hand.
I called for help and three other officer got there just as I was running out of energy. If they would have both started beating on my I would have had only one thing left to do. Use my 9mm. I had only been on the job for a year and a half. The guy got arrested for Domestic Battery and she got arrested for Aggravated Battery to a Police Officer. He got a $100.00 fine and she go 6 months in Jail and $3,000.00 fine. I guess it was better that a slug out of my 9mm.

What to do when splitting up a Domestic. Two people, one on the guy and one on the woman. Don’t strike them just split them up and get in between them. Try to hold them up until the Cops get there.

Yes you should try to stop a man from beating the crap out of a woman, and vise versa. I have seen women beat the hell out of a guy and he didn’t lift a finger to fight back.
            Sgt.

            • What I would do if I where a LEO at a domestic dispute is call for back up. I suppose a woman could easily beat the hell out of me. I was brought up to believe that a man never hits a woman. Ive been married to the same woman for over 4 decades and we have never laid a hand on each other. We have been best buddys ever since we where little kids. I know of two LEOS in the town where I came from (pop 4000) that where killed at domestic disputes.

              • old guy she lives in florida and just where do you live in Alaska????

                snake

                • Arkansas

        • Hey “Old Guy”. I’m having a tough time trying to stomach your ” I wont lift a finger to help them” comment. Yes there are times when someone steps in to stop a beating that end up getting the shaft. But you fail to mention when it might have saved a life. Evidently most on this site feel the same way you do judging from the vote count. However, if you “Old Guy” ever get into a situation that your being attacked unjustly, and you don’t have your “Boom Boom” with you, I will do the best I can do to come to your aid, if only with a stick. I’m no hero, just an “Older than you” Old Guy that still remembers right from wrong.

          • For more than twenty years ive carried my boom boom on my person 24 X 7 its a habit just like carrying my billfold and barlow pocket knife. If im being attacked I would prefer you simply to mind your own business. folks are really fond of telling others what they think you ought to do. When what someone ought to do is their own personal decision.

          • Now I lay me down to sleep, I pray the Lord my soul to keep.

If the SHTF with morning sun, I pray the Lord to have my gun.

            Sheesh.

      12. It is good to see people both black and white take there neighborhoods back. Thank GOD there was the right public officials in office there to make good laws so that people will not be victims anymore you anti-gun people take note.

      13. This is one brave guy.

In these times young, black, male and gun receive a not too pleasant response from law enforcement. I’m surprised that the story did not close with the good guy being shot by the cops.

My hats off to you pal.

This is a learning lesson for everyone. Make damn sure you know what is going down before you react.

      14. Now here is a true story. In a large town in the mall parking lot there was a rash of purse snatchings. So this guy dressed up like a female. and went there after dark carrying a large purse. That ole boy had packed the purse full of live snakes. two where large black snakes over four feet long. shure enough to aborigines pushed him down and ran away with the purse. The jumped into a waiting car. the car went about 40 feet and screeched to a stop and all four door exploded and boogalah booglah jungle bunnys ran screaming! The pranksters had to bite their togune,s to stop laughing. The pranksters got it on tape! The Mall of Memphis was only a few years old when it was torn down. The criminals drove away the customers and it was closed for lack of business.

        • Old guy, I’m in Memphis and the land where the Mall of Memphis used to be is still vacant to this day. A few years ago Wallyworld was looking at the land for another one of their stores but a certain powerful group had problems with it so Wallyworld had to drop the idea.

        • Time to give back to the community here with a warning about the newest scam:

          New Scam

A ‘heads up’ for you guys who may be regular Home Depot customers. This one caught me by surprise. Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don’t be naive enough to think it couldn’t happen to you or your friends.

Here’s how the scam works: Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts. It is impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say ‘No’ and instead ask you for a ride to McDonald’s. You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet!

          I had my wallet stolen March 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th & 29th. Also April 1st & 4th, twice on the 8th, 16th, 23rd, 26th & 30th, three times last Monday and very likely again this upcoming weekend…So tell your friends to be careful.

P.S. Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for 2.99 each~~I found cheaper ones for $1.99 at Family Dollar and bought them out. Also, you never will get to eat at McDonald’s. I’ve already lost 11 pounds just running back and forth to Home Depot…….

          • Please, please, please, where is this Home Depot located? Notify the girls there’s no need to supply the rags and Windex, I’ll stock up.

            • Thr Robot Bartender

Guy goes into a bar, there’s a robot bartender.

The robot says, “What will you have?”

              The guy says, “Martini.”

The robot brings back the best martini ever and says to the man, “What’s your IQ?”

              The guy says,” 168.”

The robot then proceeds to talk about physics, space exploration and medical technology.

The guy leaves, but he is curious…So he goes back into the bar.

The robot bartender says, “What will you have?”

              The guy says, “Martini.”

Again, the robot makes a great martini gives it to the man and says, “What’s your IQ?”

              The guy says, “100.”

The robot then starts to talk about Nascar, Budweiser and John Deere tractors.

The guy leaves, but finds it very interesting, so he thinks he will try it one more time.

He goes back into the bar.

The robot says, “What will you have?”

The guy says, “Martini,” and the robot brings him another great martini. The robot then says, “What’s your IQ?”

The guy says, “Uh, about 50.”

The robot leans in real close and says, “So, you people still happy you voted for Obama?”

      15. Crime is bad here in Houston, and it is– believe it or not– overwhelmingly Blacks and Hispanics who are the perps. Plenty of people shooting back though, which is a good thing. The more armed citizens we have the safer we are. As for FedEx, they got what they deserved having their locations posted. I went to one here just last week and had to disarm first. I don’t understand why you can prohibit legal carry but can’t stop suspicious minorities (or any minorities for that matter.)

      16. You will never see that on mainstream t.v.

      17. Quite surprised he didn’t get charged with brandishing or some such thing.

      18. “The great equalizer since its invention in the 14th century has been the gun ”

        I WANT MY PHASER…

“He stopped the would-be robbers, holding them at gunpoint until the police arrived.”

        WITH A PHASER… there’d be no trace…nothing offensive…
Even the gun-grabbers would have to admit…clean…

      19. check out drudge….PA supreme court rules cops don’t need permission or search warrant to search your car. All the fucker has to do is say I smelled pot and your ass is his.

        also more good gun stories…

        bearingarms dot com

spread the stories to the libturds!

      21. Cop did a good job mopping the floor.

      22. All kidding aside, I’ve also given a fair amount of thought to the possibility of being a witness to a crime and maybe being in a position to help.

There are more than a few stories where “good samaritans’ end up getting prosecuted for trying to help. I anecdotally remember a story of someone who gave first aid to someone in an accident. The accident victim later died, and the good samaritan was charged with a bogus crime by the estate of the victim. My recollection is that that case was dismissed, but the moral reality is that the case should never have been brought.

The Walter Mitty in me would love to be a hero, but the survivalist in me says to get away from a trouble situation as quickly as possible.

I used to carry quite regularly, even in DC, my old stomping grounds. Laws about inanimate objects have nothing whatsoever to do with a person’s morality or right to life. Pragmatically, there’s little point in putting one’s self at a disadvantage with an opponent whose moral code sees little value in my life.

Still, walking around unarmed, for me, is a lot easier mentally than walking around armed. I believe that I have free choice in my actions, and am not compelled by any mental issues. The pragmatic effect of this attitude is that I can carry whenever I want.

The analogy is this: I had a pack a day cigarette habit coming out of college. It lasted about ten years, and I couldn’t help but notice the side effects of smoking on my health. I also noticed that whenever I bought a pouch of tobacco I smoked it all. Mainly Douwe Egbert’s ‘Drum’, no longer available in the US. Also Humps, Luckies, and Gauloise cigarettes, but hey. If I didn’t have cigarettes, I didn’t smoke them. Plus, there’s only so many you can bum off your friends before getting a reputation.

I can have a cigarette whenever I want. Hey, I bummed one off my girlfriend after dinner last October, for example. Who knows when I’ll have my next cigarette! Woo hoo! Did I mention that I can carry whenever I want?

        So that’s one aspect.

As an aside, I do understand that immature people from any political party may not agree with me in any way, shape, or form, and may, gasp, be offended at my opinions. They express their offense by pretending that I’m forcing my opinions on them because I have posted my views on the internets.
